Insane Asylum Overload: Ukraine Bans Communism – Goodbye Chinese Investments

This article is part of my 70 YEARS OF THE GREAT VICTORY MARATHON

(You can see all posts under category: 70 Years of Great Victory)

Ukraine is very actively and aggressively re-writing history!

On April 9 the Kiev Rada equated communism with fascism. Ukraine president Poroshenko announced that Stalin started WWII together with Hitler. All communist and Soviet symbolism was banned. The leader of the practically illegal communist party of Ukraine, elderly, white-haired Petr Simonenko was arrested and had to endure an 11-hour interrogation at the SBU. Last year, communist faction (present Rada’s only legally elected) was banned and rudely thrown out of Rada. Simonenko and other communists’ homes were burned down.

Let me remind everyone that the very first thing Hitler did after coming to power was to boot out of Reichstag the very popular communists. Subsequently, German communists were killed or sent to concentration camps. Next, Hitler invaded the rest of Europe.

So, everything communist is bad, right?

Great! Then how about Ukraine also demolishes MOST apartment buildings on its territory, since they were built during Soviet times. Wouldn’t Ukrainians rather live in the street than in communist-built apartments?

Ukraine should also return DneproGes to Russia. DneproGes is Ukraine’s largest hydroelectric station build by those damn Russians and bad communists in the 1930s, which still provides 1/3 of Ukraine with unnecessary electricity. DneproGes was the first massive Soviet industrialization project, and it is widely considered the SYMBOL of the Soviet industrialization. I seriously think Ukraine should give it back, since they have no use for such communist symbol!

deneproges

DneproGes, Zaporozhie

Also demolish all of your steel factories, tractor factories and defence factories, even the candy and cake-making factories, built by those damn communists.

Please go ahead and give back to Russia, who’s the legal heir of the USSR you hate so much, the Odessa ports, including Yuzhny and Ilyichevsk (named after Lenin, since Lenin’s patronymic was Ilyich). How ironic – the Ilyichevsk port has just been sold to AMERICANS by the cash-strapped Ukraine! Tush, tush, dear Americans. How could you buy such a testament and monument to Lenin? Not good, not good… It’s a communist symbol, after all!

Ilyichevsk port, Odessa oblast. Built in 1952 by the USSR and named after Lenin. See more on Wikipedia

And don’t forget to blow up all of Ukraine’s nuclear power stations providing the rest of Ukraine’s unnecessary electric power… Sorry, but they all were built by your worst enemies, Russians, during Soviet communist days!

You should also destroy the buildings presently occupied by your Central Rada and Ukraine government in Kiev. And the building of SBU, the secret services of Ukraine, where the upper floor has been occupied by Americans and NATO reps, on top of which American flag is placed next to the Ukrainian one. These are all Soviet-built structures, where the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Communist Party of Ukraine held meetings during Soviet times. How come you are still using those?

Please also don’t forget to give back to Russia all the gas and oil pipelines running through Ukraine’s territory, as well as all railroads, together with all the trains, locomotives, power lines and other infrastructure, built by those damn Soviet communists.

Actually, while we are at it, please remember to hand back to Russia the entire industrialized, export producing, developed and educated South and East of Ukraine, including: Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Zaporozhie, Krivoi Rog, Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts. All these oblasts were attached to then small Ukraine, usually called Malorossia, by communist Lenin. Please give Transcarpathia back to Hungary and Czechia, attached to Ukraine by communist Stalin. Please return to Poland Lvov, Ivano-Frankovsk and a couple of other oblasts, attached to Ukraine by the same communist Stalin.

As to the Crimea once attached to Ukraine by communist Khrushchev, it has already returned itself to its rightful home.

And of course – my sincere congratulations – the cash-strapped Ukraine, with its dying economy, can forget about any investments or cash infusions from the richest creditor nation in the world, China, because a ban on communist ideology obviously includes China’s ruling communist party.

  4. Brilliantly sarcastic article, Lada! Reblogged it.
You can add to the list of insanity that “the cash-strapped Ukraine, with its dying economy” will now also have to rename thousands of streets, hundreds of areas, and some towns and villages, printing new maps, printing new documents, and it does not come cheap…
Dniepropetrovsk is apparently slated for renaming, though I doubt they’ll give it its historic name that it carried until 1802 – Novorossijsk…

  5. China usually has no problem dealing with any ideology. They like business. What they don’t like is those you can’t do business with. For example, deadbeats. And the Ukraine has already been stiffing them in many ways over past deals. So the only realistic way to get Chinese investment is a new regime that is not designed to blow everything up.

In addition, though, all the symbolic stuff that is going on in the Ukraine is proof that the country is committing suicide. So China will only come in once the place is in ruins or Russia has effective control.

  6. Lada,

You might want to write another article on the kind of propaganda that Ukrainians have been dealing with for a long time. You did one on Ukrainian TV that I remember, but the topic is much greater than that and quite important for figuring out how things got to this point. For example, I ran across this:

    http://freepublish.ru/politika/uchebnyiy-plan-voynyi-s-rossiey/

In it, it talks about Ukrainian textbooks now:

“Quite a few people were aware that the subordination Ukraine Russia could mean the physical destruction and genocide of the Ukrainian people”

“In Kiev the Russian secret service agents arrived to coordinate plans for the destruction of the Maidan … On special operations plan” Boomerang “more than 22 thousand. Special forces soldiers were to destroy the Maidan”

If people think that Russia is about to wipe their entire country out and bury it in salt, they are likely to support killing everyone in the Donbass. Of course, the real goal for the West is to create a new kind of Ukrainian, one they have been working on for at least 100 years. They will certainly go along with economic suffering till the war is over, at least those seriously brainwashed.

    • Thanks, Paul. This is a very good addition and I hope people read such valuable comments! I know most regular readers do, including those who will discover this piece and this blog later via search engines.
I come across this stuff every day because I monitor people’s testimonials from all over Ukraine. Wish I had more time to translate all that.

Latest: a guy from Krivoi Rog (central/eastern Ukraine, near Dnepropetrovsk) complains that his little daughter came from school and asked: daddy, what does it mean, ‘from my heart to the sky’ and shows Hitler’s greeting. He says, that’s what German fascists did. She says, oh, I didn’t know – they taught us how to do that in school!!!

And unfortunately, yes, they are trying to steal and re-write history so it seems that Russia is aggressor. This, as I said before, isn’t the first time. This was done to the people of Europe 1000 and 200-300 years ago.
But people are awakening, although way too slowly. We are not there yet…

  7. Lada,

If you feel it is worth mentioning. Pushkov’s show with English subtitles discussing some of the insanity, such as textbooks describing the terrorists in Odessa starting a fire:

  8. A link to an important article on Globalresearch:
    http://www.globalresearch.ca/ukraine-odessa-region-breakaway-republic-project-announced-to-join-donetsk-and-luhansk-republics/5442535

    A larger relevant quote:

During the months following the May 2nd massacre, the Obama-installed regime had repeatedly insulted Odessans, and reasserted its hostility and contempt toward them. In fact, President Poroshenko, who was ‘elected’ in an election among only far-right candidates that was held only outside Donbass and mainly in the northwest, actually went to Odessa on 13 November 2014 and he insulted the people there by saying, in a nationally televised “us” versus “them” tirade that clearly left the vast majority of Odessans as being in the “they” category:

“We will have our jobs. They will not. We will have our pensions. They will not. We will have care for children, for people, and retirees. They will not. Our children will go to schools and kindergartens. Theirs will hole up in basements [from our bombs].”

And that’s what he actually did; he specifically targeted schools. A retired Ukrainian general whose sympathies had been with Hitler’s troops displayed the nerve to respond to a Ukrainian soldier’s statement that his function was ethnic cleansing, by saying on a U.S.-funded television station in Ukraine,

“I want to offer the Ukrainian artillerists medals, to those who shell the city [Donetsk], the houses and the civilian population, … for they [artillerists] have deserved it [medals]. … The shelling there is done as intimidation, … not just object destruction, but intimidation [to get the population to flee to nearby Russia].”

In other words: by bombing and shelling the schools, hospitals, etc., in Donetsk, Lugansk and the surrounding regions, that land will become uninhabitable or intolerable, so that even the survivors will need to flee to nearby Russia. This way, the Western aristocrats who want to buy dirt-cheap access to that region’s natural resources (and such privatization of state assets is demanded ‘reform’ of Ukraine by the U.S.-controlled IMF) will not be bothered by the locals who object to the ripping-up of the land on which they live. Those locals will be dead or otherwise gone.
