In the previous posts I shared with you the sad news:

On a lighter note! And this is actually hilarious – couldn’t invent it if I tried!

All the above notwithstanding, one has to believe there is such thing as karma for lying, cheating and past misdeeds. And so, US Olympic team will parade at the Rio Olympics Opening Ceremony, participation in which many clean Russian athletes have been denied, in uniforms decorated with Russian flag.

The presentation of US Olympic uniforms, designed by Ralph Lauren, generated a storm of agony and biting criticism from American bloggers and social media. ‘What, did we suddenly run out of stars and stripes?’ ‘Did we suddenly become a part of Russia?’ lamented peeved bloggers and Twitter users.

I have to confess: back in 2014 I was one of those who’d laughed on my blog at the Lauren-designed loud and garish US uniforms in Sochi 2014, with stars and stripes splattered all over. Having been Lauren long-standing customer, I said I wouldn’t shop there any more, due to his new poor taste. Consequently, in 2016 Ralph Lauren decided to prove his taste remained good. And here is the result!

Oops… It turns out that the white, blue and red striped design looks a lot like the Russian flag!

Well, at least I’m shopping at Ralph Lauren again.

    Well, it just does good to remember that US flag is bearing the colours of the pan-Slavic flag.
    Would it be a poor taste of me to remind that the 5-pointed stars on the US flag is the same symbol as the one used on the flag of USSR, and that they are currently forbidden by law in Ukraine? 😉
