Lada Ray’s Ukraine Update: Russian Duma Bans Money Transfers to Ukraine
Today Russian Duma banned money transfers from Russia to Ukraine through any banks other than Russian banks. This comes as an anticipated mirror response to 2016 ban of Russian payment systems on Ukraine territory. More details about the new law from NovorossiaVision.
Further, this move is a logical reaction to the escalating terrorism against Russian banks by Ukrainian Nazis, while the Kiev government either supports them or looks the other way.
In the past couple of weeks various ‘Ukraine patriots’ from fascist battalions, radical and ukro-nazi parties walled in, vandalized and/or looted several branches of Sberbank and four other Russian bank subsidiaries in Ukraine. Initially, most of these attacks took place in Kiev, but now they have spread throughout the entire territory.
Ukro-nazis marching in Ukraine
Kiev government added oil to the fire by ‘forbidding Russian banks in Ukraine from transferring assets out of the country.’
Attacks against Russian banks were openly supported by the majority of Ukraine Rada deputies, advisor to president Poroshenko, speaker of the Rada Parubiy, interior minister Avakov. Other names implicated in attacks on Russian banks include oligarchs such as Renat Akhmetov, whose properties were recently semi-nationalized in Donetsk and Lugansk (LDPR).
A few facts:
- Officially, there are presently 3.5 million Ukrainian citizens as temporary workers in Russia. The vast majority of them send money back home as the only means for their families to survive. Now they won’t be able to do that.
- Add to that millions of Ukrainians who have permanently moved to Russia and are considered permanent residents or naturalized citizens, but who still help out relatives in Ukraine.
- Money transfers from Russia to Ukraine amount to billions of dollars annually.
- According to official data, Russian banks constitute 12% of Ukraine’s banking system, however, I seriously doubt this is a true number. It is common knowledge in Ukraine that Russian banks are considered the only honest and solvent banks on its territory. Whoever can, prefers to keep their assets in Russian banks.
- 1 million 250 thousand Ukrainians keep their money in Sberbank alone. This includes pensions, assets, credits, etc.
- After several months ago Kolomoysky drained his Privat Bank and transferred stolen customers’ assets offshore, the once Ukraine’s biggest bank was nationalized. Privat Bank customers flocked to Russian subsidiaries as the only safe banks in Ukraine.
You may ask why Russian subsidiaries didn’t withdraw from Ukraine, despite attacks? It is a tough call, but I do believe they are correct to stay. Kiev juntas and ukro-nazi regimes come and go, but the people of Ukraine remain. It is a good idea to support the decent Ukrainian citizens, despite how tough it is.
As a matter of fact, I once heard Putin personally ask Russian banks and other remaining businesses to stay in Ukraine, if possible.
However, Kiev is doing absolutely everything to chase the remaining Russian businesses away and to provoke Russia into taking some drastic return measures. If Russia withdraws as Kiev ukro-nazis insist, it will be the final nail in the coffin of poor Ukraine, as its economy dies off.
I predicted this in 2014: ‘Ukraine’s economy will be completely destroyed before a meaningful change and turnaround can occur. After that, Ukraine will turn away from the West and towards Russia.’
Kiev Euro-Maidan fought for the ‘EU dream’ – and here it is…
Ukro-nazi ‘peaceful’ protesters violently destroying what’s little left of poor Ukraine
Burning people alive in Odessa (pic of Odessa tragedy: May 2, 2014)
And attacking the people of Donbass (on pic: Ukraine army loading heavy mortars to fire at civilian populated areas of Donetsk)
In their utter stupidity, ukro-nazis are doing everything to expedite the end. Perhaps that’s a good idea, after all. In Ukraine’s case the horrible end may be better than an endless horror.
But Russia has to tread softly, carefully calculating the risks. Incidentally, EU is in the same boat in this regard. Ukraine’s complete implosion threatens both.
One of the problems is that millions of Ukrainians will flood uncontrollably into Russia (and EU). Another problem, Ukraine may become a danger to others due to 4 major nuclear power plants on its territory. And problem number three: Ukraine’s destroyed economy has to be rebuilt, but no one wants to take responsibility. Technically, those who destroyed it should be paying for reconstruction, namely Ukraine oligarchs, Soros, US, Canada, Germany, Poland and EU in general. I’d also make Nuland, Obama, Biden and their cronies pay up personally.
But in reality, as I predicted in 2014, only Russia cares what happens to Ukraine and only Russia is capable and willing to help rebuild Ukraine’s economy.
Although, per my other prediction, Putin is smart enough to make the West chip in when the time comes.
Russia is now attempting to delay this unpleasant moment of ultimate destruction of her sister-nation, suffering from an especially destructive case of temporary insanity. However, it is unavoidable. Sooner or later it’ll happen. What we have to remember is that it is darkest before the dawn. But dawn will come.

Perhaps President Putin should follow Trump’s lead and BUILD THAT WALL, also make Soros pay for it!
Seriously Ukraine is finished, it’s a matter of time, but who will pick up the pieces besides Russia (familial duty)?

In a way, there is already a “wall” in place, and that “wall” is ready to both re-integrate with Russia, but first to reclaim the Russian lands of Novorossia and Malorossia, once the events spin completely out of control in a few months. This wall is called DPR and LPR, and with their armies, as well as the passports and well-formed state structures, they will ensure that there will be no uncontrolled flood. There will be a flood of refugees, but it will be a controlled one.
The more extreme and armed ones will head along the path of least resistance – towards Poland and EU, especially as they still think that EU is awaiting them with that ephemeral “visum-free regime”. To add to that, most of the Galician population already holds the so-called “Polish cards”, which give them extended rights in Poland. This giving out of Polish cards by Poland, which they did for several years hoping to return Galicia may backfire, as the population there is not, shall we say, entirely friendly towards Poland.
So, yes, EU may get an uncontrolled flood of refugees – 10-15 million would be a realistic estimate. 1,5 million of the “Syrian” refugees would be dwarfed by that.

Should be interesting how EU would spin the Ukrainian diaspora in Europe. Syrian refugees and “migrants” from Africa are one thing, but I think they are deathly afraid of the Ukrainian hoard. One of the main reasons why Brussels keep dangling the visa free carrot but will never approve it!
There’s talk of Poland having legal rights to “reclaim” parts of Ukraine, mostly western Ukr, and they might have it, but honestly, who wants to settle it in Lviv?

Looking forward to your pending 2017 Quality of Life Quantum Calibrations report. It’s difficult to understand people like Victoria Nuland and her husband Robert Kagan, who are notorious warmongers. In September 2015 Ms Nuland was taken to St Francis Hospital for treatment of a stroke. I often wonder how people like Nuland and her husband, the Ukrainian Nazis, oligarchs and other global “elite” can live with themselves.
I googled ‘Nuland Kagan family Warmongers” & got 18,300 listings in 70 seconds with headings like this: A Family Business of Perpetual War – Consortiumnews

A stanza from Rudyand Kipling’s 1922 poem “The Naulahka: A Story of West & East” seems appropriate here. Russia, the Great Ballancer straddles both. :
Now it is not good for the Christian’s health to hustle the Aryan
brown,
For the Christian riles, and the Aryan smiles and he weareth the
Christian down;
And the end of the fight is a tombstone white with the name of
the late deceased,
And the epitaph drear: “A Fool lies here who tried to hustle the
East.”

It’s painful to watch a country self-destruct, but I suppose that is what the US is doing, too, only less quickly.

From Brother Rudyard Kipling, who understood geopolitics: “And the end of the fight is a tombstone white with the name of the late deceased, and the epitaph drear: A Fool lies here who tried to hustle the East.”
