Why does the West hate Russia so much?
Based on the events of late we are reminded very loudly about the irrationally pathological hatred and fear of the West towards Russia. As many of you know, the new bout of Russophobic hysteria has like a plague taken over the American and European MSM and populace. Russians could be saving orphans in the middle of a war (which incidentally they do), and still made look bad.
It got so bad that Russian President Putin had to address it during recent St. Petersburg Economic Forum. The rudeness of the questions the ‘host’ Megyn Kelly was asking Putin and the PM of India Narendra Modi was only rivaled by her lack of cultural sensitivity and ill-informed stupidity.
Aeyrie | May 13, 2017: Yes, I remember that. I was aghast, ashamed for their extreme rudeness. Dear God, I thought. I hope the Russian people don’t think we are ALL like that! I wouldn’t blame them if it was so. Our general behavior certainly doesn’t give them much to hope for! It is right for Mr. Lavrov to have, on several occasions, asked reporters where they learned their manners. Those “Ugly Americans” could use some reminding. I have also seen him, when instantly barraged with questions about “Russian meddling” as soon as he walks in a room, just turn about and walk away, exasperated. What possible good could come of engaging in this idiocy one more time?
Thank you for your link to the film yesterday. I have seen that video before but I downloaded and watched it again last night. Most people in the U.S. today know nothing of the Russian character or what they endured to push the Nazis back into Germany during the Great War. When I told someone a few days ago about how Victory Day is celebrated in Russia and of the extreme sacrifices the Russians made, some 27 million of their cherished number, she nearly fell off her chair. She also gained new understanding. That makes the Holocaust look pretty small by comparison, she said. Yes, exactly, said I. And do they go on and on about it? No! They wouldn’t be like that.
Continuing, I told her that there are many other examples of how the Russians have stepped into the breach and gave her a few. We and the rest of the world have much to thank the Russian people for. So why are we being so inexcusably rude to them? How soon we forget, if we ever knew. These things are no longer taught here. Shame on us.

Aeyrie, this is a millennial question. And it has everything to do with my Earth Shift – Great Balancer theory.
The Western model that we are living under is based on individualism and ‘what’s in it for me.’ There are people who question this model, such as many of my readers. However, the society at large is contented with it. And this is the tragedy of our society. This is exactly the reason humanity is stuck in the never-ending cycle of karma and conflicts.
I’ll give you a small glimpse into the Forbidden History of which very few know and even fewer speak:
A long ago — so long that now it feels as if it never happened — the world lived by the Russian model: the good of all comes first.
This model was rejected in favor of the egotistical, self-centered and profit-driven Western model.
In order to discredit the ancient Vedic Rus model, the Russian view had to be suppressed and Russia had to be made into an archvillain. Sometimes, due to various international circumstances, such as a recurring West’s urge to invade others, the archvillain image had to vary and Russia/Russians were then presented as poor, backwards and unevolved. Russia had to be invaded all the time, don’t you see… The reason for these constant invasions? Why, the destruction of Russia, of course. All this to satisfy the overriding urge by the West to do away with an attractive alternative offered by Russia.
The truly deep-seated reason is that those who pull the secret strings (and all those who happily buy into the russophobic propaganda) want to do away with the Great Balancer. In their gut they always know that it is only Russia – The Great Balancer stands in the way of their globalist plans.
I can tell you right here and now — this isn’t going to happen. The world needs The Great Balancer to keep it spinning; in our 3D reality the yin-yang contrast is the glue that keeps it together, yet only Russia can keep the delicate balance between the two.
The huge problem that concerns me about humans at large is that they never learn. Humans manage to succumb to inferior energy vibrations, resulting in low calibrations so incredibly easily. It is exceedingly rare that the interests of others are considered along with one’s own.
That said, the shoots of the new worldview are trying to make their way to the sun. The egocentric Western model has run its course, but the new cooperative model is trying to emerge in great pains, and with great resistance from the other side, which is doing everything to sabotage it in its infancy.

A little personal psycho-history. I was born in 1945. My family got its first TV set when I was about 5. There was a lot of post-war propaganda broadcast like Victory at Sea and sit-dramas about the FBI and the Coast Guard in relation to Russian espionage. We had a sign on our front porch which read (in red) BLOCK HEAD AIR RAID WARDEN. I asked my dad about this and he said it was in case the Russians bombed us that he was in charge of the block defenses (there were none). I came to understand later that this was really social engineering on a grand scale. In school we learned to duck and cover (in case the Russians bombed us). We drilled this once a week for years.
Later in my teens I went to high school at a Catholic seminary. They introduced us to the Byzantine Mass (Russian Orthodox Church) and brought in some Russian clergy to perform this Mass for us. They also taught about Russian sacred art and some of the culture, but nothing about politics. This was the only time in my life, except for now, that I heard something positive about Russia.
Later in the Navy whenever we went to sea, we were always at some modified wartime cruising protocol that took into account being followed by Russian submarines. Practically the whole first half of my life I was taught to look over my shoulder for the Russians. How does anybody survive this level of brain washing?! For me, my personal astrology has me as the penultimate detective so I was always turning over every rock and leaf for the rest of the story. Most aren’t that fortunate and just go with the flow. Unlearning “Bad Russia” is a monumental tasking.

And I grew up in the Soviet Union – well, in later years than you – and we never did ‘duck and cover’ drills; I never once recall an anti-West hysteria, although Russia had a lot more reason to fear US/Germany/EU. USA or the West were not called the enemy left and right.
On the contrary, the study of foreign cultures, history, languages, literature/art were very much encouraged.
At the same time the Soviet ministry of culture always purchased in the West the best films, in which the exclusively glamorous and flamboyant life was shown, never drudgery or real struggles — and showed them in our movie theaters. How stupid of those ‘Soviets,’ as they are called in the West, wasn’t it? Showing the best, and often unrealistically glamorous side of western life, when everything the west showed to their populace was the worst sides of Russia – also often a lie.
They did tell us the truth about western imperialism and the real life in US/EU, such as strikes and wars. They did show on TV news what the Bronx, Harlem and Jersey City looked like. I remember when I had to drive through those in 1990s, they were some of the worst slums. They were even worse in the 70s-80s. Of course, now they are very different.
The problem with Russians was that we, unlike Americans, did not trust Soviet MSM, thinking it ‘government propaganda.’ Only when Russians started going abroad in the ’90’s we saw with our own eyes that everything our Soviet ‘propaganda’ told us about the West was absolutely true. It actually turned out worse than they portrayed it.

I completely back this comment by Lada – this too was my experience from the school days, and later when I go to see the other side of the “curtain”, after the glamour wore off. By the way, one political news that I vividly remember from the school days, was Samantha Smith – the young peace activist who visited Russia in 1983 with a bridging mission, and who died in a suspicious plane crash…
Here is a fragment from Wikipedia on her visit:
On July 7, 1983, she flew to Moscow with her parents, and spent two weeks as Andropov’s guest. During the trip she visited Moscow and Leningrad and spent time in Artek, the main Soviet pioneer camp, in the town of Gurzuf on the Crimean Peninsula. Smith wrote in her book that in Leningrad she and her parents were amazed by the friendliness of the people and by the presents many people made for them. Speaking at a Moscow press conference, she declared that the Russians were “just like us”.[12] In Artek, Smith chose to stay with the Soviet children rather than accept the privileged accommodations offered to her. For ease of communication, teachers and children who spoke fluent English were chosen to stay in the building where she was lodged. Smith shared a dormitory with nine other girls, and spent her time there swimming, talking and learning Russian songs and dances. While there, she made many friends, including Natasha Kashirina from Leningrad, a fluent English speaker.

Just gives you a perspective how different the two cultures were. Friendliness and reaching out to the West on Russian side, while all the West was interested in was to hysterically demand for the USSR to release some scandalous ‘human rights activist’ or a writer like Solgenitsyn. Then, when they got to the West, US/EU/CIA would exploit their egos and fears to loudly malign Russia.

I thought Megyn Kelly did pretty well considering where she comes from and what she does for a living. She had to ask those stupid questions because she works for the industry that manufactures that propaganda. She asked the questions clearly and bluntly and then allowed President Putin to respond – which he did with grace and humour.
Megyn has since then commented on live US TV about how warm and friendly President Putin was with her off camera. I think the overall effect in the West of the exchanges Megyn had with President Putin will be positive.

Why do they hate Russia?
Because Russia is perceived as a source of resistance against America and its unipolar world order.
Moreover, the West in general and America in particular suffer from a pathology called Western Moral Imperialism and its derivative spawn, American Exceptionalism.
The West and America have a quasi-religious belief that they are Goodness incarnate and indeed are God’s Chosen Nations in all but name.
Any country, religion, government, leader, or group that resists America will cause Americans to throw a massive hissy fit and launch into a predictable Two Minutes of Hate against this geopolitical opposition.
Opposition to America necessarily questions America’s moral superiority as the “Land of the Free,” “Beacon of Liberty,” “Leader of the Free World,” and their self-styled status as the Exceptional Nation.
In short, Americanism and Westernism are a species of religious fundamentalism–disguised behind the veneer of liberal democracy.
To fundamentally question and challenge America is the ultimate Thought Crime, a heresy against this false religion of Americanism.

That was a short newsflash. It looks that the urge to destroy not only Russia, but Syria (Assyria) too is so overwhelming, that in both cases the last shreds of pretence are thrown aside and the real ugly aggressive face shows through.
By the way, Lada, touching upon the forbidden history, once a long time you said you’ll tell the linguistic origins of the English word “true”. It still eludes my attempts to decipher it.

And to follow-up on that attack, I felt yesterday that something was off. US, in the usual way of inventing the rules as they go, “created” a unilateral “deconflictation zone”. Whereas what Syria agreed to (and UN backed) were de-escalation zones, proposed by Russia, Iran and Turkey, and ratified by Syria:

Trump announced his intention to partner with Russia, in opposition to the elite agenda. So the oligarchs will certainly continue to dispatch their presstitutes to demonize Russia. One recent example was Megyn Kelly’s interview of Putin. But Putin responded with Russia’s ‘message’:
“Why do you feel you have the right to ask these kinds of questions? And do it all of the time, to moralize and to give us lessons on how to live. We’re ready to listen to comments, when it’s done constructively, with the goal of establishing a relationship, creating a common environment. But we will absolutely not accept when these sorts of things are used as an instrument of political conflict. I want everyone to know that. That’s our message.”

One thing that not exactly surprised me, but I think it’s mentioned for the first time:
In the third clip, published Tuesday by Showtime, Stone claimed he had credible information that the Russian leader survived at least five assassination attempts, which Putin implied were successfully thwarted by his security team.
“I do my job and the Security Officers do theirs, and they are still performing quite successfully,” Putin said, adding, “I trust them.”
