    Novorussian army is now in full combat readiness and is expecting new war with Ukraine in March. Ukrainian army is not much bigger or more effective, than in 2014 and 2015, but a big difference is Novorussian army, which grows from local militias in big and capable regular army and is now practicaly in similar size with Ukrainian army, but far more effective, with better discipline and higher moral. Starting a new war in Donbass will be a suicide for Ukrainian army.

    To me it’s really 50/50 if Russia will formally incorporate the Donbass into itself. Everything will depend on what Kiev and its western backers do. Russia will maintain a very reactive stance to whatever the west does. Russia doesn’t want to include the Donbass into Russia but it may have to depending on the circumstances. One thing for sure; Russia will not allow the conquering of the Donbass.
