That WAS inspired, even for non-fans like myself: Underdog Russia beats Spain! #Russia2018 #WorldCup
Even I, who isn’t into football (soccer), watched and re-watched the highlights of this match. #Russia2018 World Cup isn’t only the best organized championship in FIFA history, as even the Russophobic British and Swedish MSM are forced to admit. It also has a distinction of being the most memorable rollercoaster Mundial ever. Most favorites are out, including former world champions and celebrity teams such as Germany, Spain, Portugal and Argentina.
Meanwhile, World Cup’s biggest ever underdog, Russia, is proceeding to quarterfinals for the first time in 32 years, where Russia hasn’t been since the Soviet period. The game with one of the favorites, Spain, ended in Russia’s victory after the penalty round. But it could’ve ended sooner and even more convincingly in Russia’s favor if one of the Russian players didn’t commit a silly mistake, resulting in own goal accidentally putting Spain ahead. Yet, Russia not only managed to even out the score, but get ahead against the Spanish monsters team, referred to as the ‘red fury.’
Russia, rated 70, gained 60 points as a result – third largest rating advance in FIFA’s history.
Russia meets Croatia, who is also playing very well, in quarterfinals, and may the best team win. Even if Russia doesn’t win in quarterfinals, the Spain-Russia game will have made history. There is a talk of building a statue to the goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who instantly became international celebrity after several major saves, including deflecting that famous last Spanish penalty shot with his leg. The whole team performed very well and a big credit goes to the new Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov, who turned out to be a master strategist. You might say that finally Russians guessed correctly with the national team’s coach. For years, they tried to hire foreign celebrity coaches, to whom crazy astronomical sums were paid, only to get disappointed in their performance. Recently Russians made a decision not to hire foreigners as coaches any more.
Igor Akinfeev final spectacular save, which gave Russia the win over Spain, World Cup 2018
Oh yes, believe it or not, before this game FIFA rated Akinfeev as the worst player on Russian team.
Celebrations in Russia following big win:
I am not a big football (soccer) specialist, although during this FIFA World Cup we all have suddenly become experts, lol. I freely admit I’m not.
But what I am rather an expert in is geopolitics, including the geopolitics of sport. And of course, the big one: the Great Earth Shift. (Granted, Russia continues stressing — rightly so — that World Cup 2018 is far and away from politics, but honestly, come on…)
There are four major geopolitical and Earth Shifting questions:
- Why is Russia hosting World Cup 2018?
- When can we expect the usual Russophobic noise from the US/UK to begin that Russian team is ‘doping’?
- Will Ukraine/Poroshenko dare to attack Donbass during World Cup?
- What will be the consequences/benefits of this World Cup for Russia and the Earth Shift?
We’ve discussed and I answered in detail question number 3 in this Patreon report: QUANTUM CALIBRATIONS: Ukraine, Poroshenko and Ukrainian Army (with many important updates & predictions)
And the rest?… Stay tuned for it!
