That’s REAL RUSSIA, Baby! Electric Trains, Red Square & Joyful Moscow Flashmobs!

Flashmob in the front square of Leningradsky Vokzal – Leningrad Train Station, Moscow, Russia. A great 5 min glimpse of the real Moscow!

Song: Electrichka from Moscow (electrichka is Russian/Soviet electric train, usually travels short distances to suburbia or countryside). This non-polluting and efficient train was invented many years ago in the USSR and it is one of the most popular modes of transportation, along with trams, trolleybuses and metro. Way ahead of the ‘hybrid cars’ and solar panels in the West…

I’ll get into electrichka, electrichka from Moscow

And to nowhere, nowhere I’ll head,

Where one can hear a call of an owl…

Cool is the word! The Russia Day on Red Square – Russian Anthem Flashmob with Yaroslav Sumishevsky, et al. And pay especial attention to the Russian police ‘brutality’! LOL

Smuglyanka at a Moscow department store, also Yaroslav Sumishevsky, et al.

  2. Lol, thank you, Lada! I love flashmobs! I especially like to watch the expressions of those observering change from WTF!? to smiles of delight and then to moving about and singing along.

  5. I just loved one tiny moment at 2:51, where a punk or a rocker in the background is going full out to the music. Talk about connection between generations 🙂
All in all, this love for music is defining for Russia.
