June 22, 1941: Nazi Germany attacked USSR. The ghost of Bandera. Who’ll decide the future of Ukraine

If interested in the real truth once and for all, watch the real footage of what was going on June 22, 1941. A 5min, self-explanatory video. Warning – graphic footage.

The Kremlin announcer in a measured voice says: ‘At 4 am on June 22, without an announcement of war, the Germany troops attacked our country and breached our borders in multiple areas. They bombed our cities, Zhitomir (now Ukraine), Kiev, Sevastopol, Kaunas (now Lithuania), and some others. Finland and Romania took part in the attack…’

Ukraine and Belarus received the first brunt of the attack. Ukraine as a whole lost 7 million people during the war. Western Ukraine Banderovtsi, who closely collaborated with Hitler and served in SS, exterminated hundreds of thousands of Russians, Ukrainians, Jews and Poles. It’s especially sick that fascism and western Ukraine Nazism (I’ve termed it ‘ukro-nazism’) has risen its ugly head in Ukraine today.

Only much later the true magnitude and devastation of the first day of the Great Patriotic War will become clear… It will take 4 years to finish off the Nazis and their allies and years longer to mend all the wounds.

Yet, some wounds never mended. Or rather they were meant to be kept open for a purpose of using them, as needed, against Russia. For this reason, some dark forces, such as ukro-nazi Banderovtsi, were carefully and purposefully whisked away to USA and Canada, after the German/Western Ukraine fascist defeat.

When the USSR was alive and well, many attempts to destabilize and subvert Ukraine through its western part were tried, but they all failed. The fulfillment of the master plan was postponed, but never abandoned.

(You didn’t really think that the ‘subversion of Ukraine’ was Victoria Nuland’s idea? No, the idea is as old as the CIA secret warbook itself — or older. I’d go with Austria-Hungary and Bismark, at least.)

Those sleeper cells, many of whom simply maintained some sort of innocuous correspondence with relatives in the Soviet Ukraine, who invited them to visit or came to visit themselves (with presents, of course) were kept quiet, until it was necessary to begin artificially re-awakening them in order to subvert Ukraine. The result is today’s Kiev junta and Ukraine as anti-Russia.

I was always wondering how so many Western Ukrainians ended up on another continent in 1945-1946. We are talking up to a hundred thousand. Their children and grandchildren would innocently look at you and say, shrugging their shoulders, that their parents/grandparents somehow ‘just managed to get to Canada or USA after the war.’ Well, unless they could teleport, it was a 100% guaranteed impossibility right after the most devastating war mankind has ever known, when all public ports and airports of Europe were destroyed or controlled by the military of the USSR or Allies. Another mystery, how all these ‘Ukrainian refugees’ had all that money to travel cross-ocean and then buy up agricultural land in Canada and USA?

Per recently declassified KGB documents, even before the Nazi surrender US was actively seeking out western Ukrainians, aka, the original Bandera Ukro-Nazi followers, in camps and among POWs; they loaded them up into ships and planes. The search for the ‘right’ ukro-nazis continued through containment camps all over Europe after the war ended. If these Banderovtsi were not whisked away, they would have to be given up to the Soviets to be tried for mass murder and crimes against humanity on the territory of Ukraine and Poland. In USA and Canada they were taken to camps where it was determined in what capacity they could be best useful fighting the USSR, and later Russia.

Most of them were ‘conserved’ for future usage, allowed to have families and integrated into society.  They were given farming land, as for the agriculture-based western Ukrainians that was a dream come true and a pinnacle of desires. Their and their children’s true ‘purpose’ came later, when it became necessary to create anti-Russia out of the part of Russia we presently call Ukraine…

russion-bear-tolerates-ukraine-idiots

As far as dealing with Bandera/Shukhevich followers remaining in western Ukraine, the NKVD and later KGB were vigilant as usual, but I daresay, too soft. A large number of the western Ukraine Banderovtsi remnants were left alive and ‘rehabilitated.’ Some of them even became Communist Party activists. Many of their offspring are now active ukro-nazis, committing their own crimes against humanity.

But perhaps some Bandera ukro-nazis did get rehabilitated, and perhaps there is some hope for others yet? Seeing what the Kiev junta has done to their country, more and more people are awakening to making the wrong choice in 2014.

As a telling example, here’s one of Ukraine’s most popular presidential candidates, Viktor Medvedchuk, who is an integral part of the Kiev political and oligarchic set.

Putin mentioned him in his Annual Q&A as one of the sanest politicians Ukraine has, and I mentioned him in my recent The Plane Truth interview as a politician to watch. Medvedchuk is known for his efforts to exchange POWs between Kiev and LDPR, an effort Kiev sabotages. Putin, incidentally, mentioned Medvedchuk’s real origin — and I know he emphasized his Banderovets father for a reason, so that Viktor Medvedchuk wouldn’t suffer a backlash in Ukraine. We know what happened after Putin once mentioned Trump… Medvedchuk has already been branded “the Kremlin agent.”

Viktor Medvedchuk was born in Russia, after his father served time for being a part of the armed Bandera movement in western Ukraine. The scary part is that the son of an open ukro-nazi, who may possibly have innocent blood on his hands (won’t say – don’t have the facts), is considered one of the few adequate politicians left in Ukraine. Just goes to show how far the country has fallen.

According to Wikipedia: Viktor Volodymyrovych Medvedchuk is a Ukrainian politician, lawyer, and business oligarch. Currently Medvedchuk is chairman of the pro-Russian political organization Ukrainian Choice and an opponent of Ukraine joining the European Union.

I’m sure, some people in Ukraine, who know Medvedchuk’s bio and who have seen what Banderovtsi have done to their country may beg to differ as to how ‘pro-Russian’ he is, but in the land of the blind, one-eyed man is king.

The reason I’m telling you all this: let’s remember this name — Viktor Medvedchuk. He may have certain promise. Can he unite the conflicting sides of the country and thus ‘save’ Ukraine? Putin seems to ‘cautiously’ think he may be able to. I am reasonably skeptical and this is the first time I am not fully agreeing with Putin, but time will tell.

The overall shift I’ve predicted for Ukraine between 2016 and 2018 is approaching. Trump would love to, but he doesn’t know how to drop Ukraine, as his recent incredibly awkward 6-minute meeting with Poroshenko has shown. Meantime, Poroshenko is desperately clinging to his ‘presidential throne,’ begging for US support. Too late for him, too. He’ll be kept there for exactly as long as the big powers take their sweet time to make a long-term decision.

In truth, the future of Ukraine will be decided in the meeting of Putin and Trump at G20, if they are able to meet. Recent events confirm what I’ve predicted since October 2016 – Jan 2017: Trump’s straitjacket and the absolute determination of the Deep State to sabotage any improvement of relations between Russia and USA.

If Deep State succeeds and no significant breakthrough between Putin and Trump occurs, USA will still slowly but surely abandon Ukraine.

Then it will be up to Russia…

Russians tricked us! US MSM has only itself to blame for being excluded from Trump-Lavrov Meeting

US media circus = boy who cried wolf

‘Russians tricked us!’ — It must be the NEW version of ‘Russians are coming!’

And.. karma is a bitch

New American Diplomacy, Russian Ambassador = Spy LOL

Video: US media complains they had to get their images of the first Trump – Lavrov meeting from the Russian sources.

If the US media had half a brain, I’d say, ‘Hint dears, you have no one else to blame but yourselves.’ But they won’t get it, so no point in wasting my breath.

US media that attacked #Trump left and right has only itself to blame for not being allowed into #Lavrov – Trump closed-door meeting. Did they really think it would be forgotten?

There is another thing I’ve noticed. When Tillerson came to Moscow to talk to Lavrov a couple of weeks back, the US ‘journalists’ were tripping over themselves and yelling out stupid questions into Lavrov’s ear, not letting two foreign chiefs talk. This prompted such consummate professional as Lavrov to snap and tell them to ‘mind their manners.’ Who taught you your manners, asked Lavrov, to Tillerson’s embarrassed silence.

The same circus continued when Lavrov came to DC. During a joint press appearance, US ‘journalists’ yelled out more dumb questions, while Tillerson was still speaking, thus breaking protocol.

US media = Disruptive mob? Paid provocateurs? Malicious juveniles? I’m afraid, all of the above. They’ve been trained to be this way by the Western neo-liberal globalist establisment.

In other words, the behavior and attitude of the US MSM on all occasions has been distasteful, to say the least… I can think of many more adjectives, but just like Lavrov, being my usual diplomatic self, I’ll refrain from using them. Feel free to add your own – whichever apply.

Is it any wonder these clowns weren’t allowed into Trump-Lavrov meeting?

Proof Ukraine turned into Terrorist Fascist State: Kiev #ImmortalRegiment parade attacked

People, I am looking at the video below, and I’m in shock. I don’t recognize the place. How could Ukraine people let these thugs get so out of hand? How could they allow Hitler and Bandera followers to get free reign of this former Soviet republic, which suffered so much form the German Nazi occupiers?

Kiev #ImmortalRegiment May 9, 2017 parade attacked by ukro-nazis, who throw eggs and fire smoke bombs at the crowd, targeting the many children and the elderly. Also notice Nazi flags and Nazi salutes with which they are taunting the crowd.

The good news though, the citizens were not scared to come out, despite threats. Huge crowds at May 9 parades in Kiev, Kharkov and other Ukraine cities. People in the crowd heard chanting pro-Russian, pro-Soviet and anti-ukro-nazi slogans.

Lada Ray #VictoryDay 2017 special. 1943 US film with exceedingly rare for the West truthful and positive portrayal of Russia. This film is now posted on Lada Ray Channel.

This film was made in 1943 on direct orders of Roosevelt, who was trying to convince USA elites to enter WWII in Europe against Fascist Germany and its allies, in response to repeated pleas by Stalin during 1941-43 era, when the help of allies was truly needed. US finally entered WWII in 1944, after Red Army liberated all or most of its territory, when the next objective became taking over Berlin and squashing fascism in its bunker, and when it became clear that the USSR could win the war all by itself.

What a treat! Renovated Kremlin reopens for tourists May 10

Moscow

In case you were planning a trip to Moscow, I thought you all might enjoy this fun piece about the Kremlin. We have talked lately about UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as Palmyra (Syria) and Odessa. The Moscow Kremlin is another one.

Kremlin, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is presently closed for tourists due to Victory Day – May 9, 2016 parade preparations. Since last year, a part of the Kremlin has been under massive renovations after the decision to demolish the so-called Building No. 14, which used to house presidential administration and which, according to specialists, didn’t represent any historic of architectural value. It was built in 1930’s, replacing the Small Nikolayevsky Palace, damaged during the revolution and demolished in 1929. The palace once served as Moscow residence for Emperor Nikolay II and his family.

The demolition of Building No. 14 opened up a boon for excited archeologists. The well-preserved foundation of the Nikolayevsky Palace was found underneath the structure. Historians and researchers were allowed access to its mysteries for the first time ever. Underneath that, archeologists discovered foundations of another dozen or so ancient buildings, as well as artefacts and relics dating back to 12th century Moscow.

Gold-domed medieval Kremlin cathedral

The new gardens now bloom in place of the huge building; previously blocked, a gorgeous view on the unique Kremlin cathedrals has opened up. Moreover, the new Kremlin tourist route has been opened, previously inaccessible due to presidential security. Tourists can now exit the Kremlin through its most famous and grandest Spasskaya Tower.

Spasskaya Tower

The Kremlin reopens after Victory Day celebrations, on May 10.

Watch the video below, with the new look of the grandest Moscow landmark. At the end of video, you’ll see the new tourist route, which, as usual, starts by Alexander Gardens, through Kutafia Tower. But you can now exit through Spasskaya Tower, allowing direct entrance onto Red Square, right by St. Basil’s Cathedral. Spasskaya Tower exit was previously open only for state visits and officials. I’ll tell you, considering the enormous distances you need to cover around the Kremlin, your feet will thank you dearly for this shortcut; and your eyes, for the luxurious view of Red Square! 🙂

Moscow, Red Square

St. Basil’s, Red Square

Towards the end of video, notice the glass enclosures. These are entrances to Kremlin’s underground archeological digs. What new mysteries does this place hold? Many more, for sure…

Cherry on the cake: thought I’d include a video showcasing the legendary Kremlin Presidential Regiment. The Presidential Regiment is celebrating its 80th birthday. The role of this elite regiment is to guard President and Kremlin, as well as to perform Kremlin ceremonial duties. Chosen for their looks, its members are much more than just pretty faces. During the 1941 battle for Moscow, the entire Kremlin Regiment went into battle straight after the parade.

The Kremlin Presidential Regiment today. Some are chosen for looks, others, for their way with horses. Do check out the only woman serving in the Presidential Regiment.

New Russian Military Terminator Test Suit Allows You To Walk Unharmed Through Explosions

A friendly nod to my tweepal  for pointing it out.

This video, released by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and head of defence industry, Dmitry Rogozin, shows a successful test of a new protective suit for the Russian military. The tester walks through huge explosions and bursts of flames, while being totally unaffected by them, thanks to the latest Russian Terminator suit.
There is currently not much more known about this new secret Russian military invention with anti-explosive body armor characteristics.

And it’s a woman!

Watch:

As those who watched my Earth Shift Report 4: ALIEN TECHNOLOGY & NEW RUSSIAN WEAPONS know, I call the new warfare: the 4D warfare (more on 4D here), as opposed to traditionally crude, 3D warfare, in which millions have lost their lives. I coined the term ‘4D warfare’ to describe the new type of warfare, in which protective technologies come to the fore, and physical damage is avoided at all cost.

This is the wave of the future a new DEVELOPING GLOBAL TREND, in which Russia will be the leader and pioneer!

The 4D warfare puts emphasis on protective and disabling technologies, rather than aggressive, lethal, physical carnage technologies, aimed at destroying as many ‘enemies’ as possible.

It’s still warfare, and still a confrontation – YES! But those who understand how geopolitics work, those who grasp that certain entities in our world would do anything to destroy others if given the opportunity, will appreciate that taking away the chance for a successful aggression will do wonders to stop the aggressor, while preserving life. Therefore, the defensive and protective 4D technology is a huge leap forward in human consciousness, compared to the devastation of the previous world wars!

Incidentally, this is a timely reminder, since we are approaching Victory Day on May 9th, marking 71st anniversary of the end of WWII. Human memory is short – many have already forgotten the devastation of World War II. Some advocate re-writing history, while the resurgence of fascism/Nazism is on the rise (WWII & Great Victory).

Inspiring Story! French couple decorates ‘Russian Rambo’ hero of Syria op with family’s WWII medals

The world we live in is full of negativity and unpleasant news, on which we are forced to focus every day in order to shine the light of truth on grave problems and injustices. However, today I want to focus on something, perhaps tragic, but still inspiring and rather positive in a very profound way.

Alexander-Prokhorenko-the-Russian-Rambo

Lieutenant Alexander Prokhorenko (left) with dad

This is a very touching story of Lieutenant Alexander Prokhorenko and his heroic death in Syria. Facing imminent capture, he called the Russian fire upon his own hidden position after being surrounded by ISIS jihadists, thus taking many islamists with him to the grave. He was posthumously awarded the Gold Star of the Hero of Russia. Lieutenant Prokhorenko has left behind his pregnant wife.

Alexander-Prokhorenko-the-Russian-Rambo-with-his-wife-Ekaterina

Alexander Prokhorenko and wife Ekaterina

Incidentally, Prokhorenko is a typical Ukrainian name. You’ve probably heard me say before that there are millions of Ukrainians living in Russia, since essentially ‘Ukrainians’ are, simply put, Southern Russians, and most of the normal ones don’t consider themselves separate from the Great Russians in any way.

With great dismay, I often talk on this blog about the embarrassment that today’s Kiev junta-ruled Ukraine has turned itself into. This young man proves that there are good Ukrainians left in the world.

But the story of the Russian hero doesn’t end there. A French couple, in protest against the French media and government’s silence about Prokhorenko’s act of heroism and Russia’s role in Syria, decided to donate their cherished WWII medals to his family.

I’ve said that today’s Ukraine is an embarrassment. However, in truth, today’s collective West’s behavior and manipulation is an even bigger embarrassment, especially that of the US and EU.

But while the West is silent, trying to ignore facts and twist the truth to suit its agenda, ordinary people do speak up. It’s people’s diplomacy at work: Prokhorenko family has been getting letters and donations from all over, through Russian embassies and organizations. These tokens of support won’t replace their beloved husband and son, but they do confirm the family isn’t alone, as many grieve with them.

Touching video with details of Lieutenant Prokhorenko’s Syria act and the French couple’s gift:

LADA RAY REPORT: Putin Announces Russian Troops Withdrawal from Syria – Reasons Revealed!

Destiny of Russia and Spectacular Show on Red Square

Don’t miss! May 9th, 2015, Moscow. Tastefully masterminded and beautifully performed Great War re-enactment and spectacular concert on Red Square. Includes some of the best and most famous Russian songs and dance – must see! Праздничный концерт «Дороги Великой Победы» на Красной Площади.

Please note, what is customarily translated to English as the “Great Patriotic War” is, like so many others, a bad translation. The right translation is: The Great War for Fatherland (Russian transliteration: Velikaya Otechestvennaya Voina). I simply call it “The Great War,” which gives it the right meaning, too – to match with the “Great Victory.”

Geopolitical message to the world

Throughout the entire day of May 9, 2015 Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were seen together, talking all the time, while watching the parade and concert – you will see them again in this video of the Red Square concert. This is a clear geopolitical message to the world! Some analysts have said that a new anti-fascist coalition was formed on Red Square on May 9th. Those leaders who came to Moscow celebrations and brought their troops with them are in it. Those who didn’t come… you do the math. This may be correct on some level.

But it goes beyond that – far beyond. The fact that leaders of China, India and a number of other EURASIAN countries arrived, while only Serb and Cyprus presidents were present from Europe, sends another signal. As is well-know, Serbia is a very close-knit part of the Russian world, considering Russia their mother-culture, while Cyprus is the most pro-Russian part of the EU. While the island is primarily ethnically Greek, geographically it’s located next to Turkey, thus being a part of the Middle East, or more broadly – Eurasia. (Added: I am also told that Macedonian president was there as well – same story as Serbia. Please see much more in Comments).

Like I said back in the beginning of 2014: Russia is forced to rebalance to the East. Actually, destiny and the West are pushing Russia towards such rebalancing, whether Russia wants it or not.

Please recall my PREDICTIONS and multiple articles/videos: Russia is the Great Balancer of our planet. The previous great rebalancing started 1000 years ago, a process that was completed by Russia about 300 years ago, during the reign of Peter the Great. This rebalancing gave the West (first Western Europe, and later North America, as well) a huge advantage over the rest of the planet. Such rebalancing happens roughly every 1000 years, although there are also different timelines involved as well. Russia is now starting the process of rebalancing back to the East and Global South.

“The Roads of Great Victory” Re-enactment of the Great War and spectacular concert. Don’t miss it!

Victory Day fireworks with gorgeous views of the Kremlin and Moscow:

And don’t miss the Victory Day parades marathon, including the Immortal Regiment March. The Red Square parade was spectacular. But the Immortal Regiment March stole the show. 12 million people in Russia, post Soviet republics, and beyond took part in the Immortal Regiment March. 500,000 took part in Moscow alone. The entire initiative was grass-roots. I am told that many people from the UK, US, France and elsewhere in Europe came to the march as well, carrying portraits of their relatives who perished in WWII. I literally have never seen anything like this! And I’d been to 30 countries and seen lots of mass marches and parades growing up in the USSR. Victory Day Parades Marathon and The Immortal Regiment March.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon showed up for the May 9th celebration in Moscow. He said that when he saw that sea of people approaching Red Square, he first thought it was anti-Putin protest. But it turned out it was actually pro-Putin and pro-government celebration. You deserve all the love of your people, mr. President, concluded Ban Ki-moon. Whether it was meant as a pretty awkward joke, or he really is that misinformed – you decide.

MOLDOVA and ODESSA: Hundreds of Thousands Come Out for May 9 #Victory70 Celebrations Despite Attempts to Ban Holiday

In the run up to the Victory Day, Moldavian government in Chisinau made an attempt to ban Georgievskaya Lentochka (St. George Band), which is widely considered a symbol of the Great Victory and generally, a Russian symbol of valor. The mayor of the Moldavian capital also decreed to ban any parades, marches or rallies on May 9th.

But wait till you see what happened instead!

den pobedy5

History of Georgievskaya Lenta (‘Lentochka,’ if small):

It was first introduced in 1764 by Russian empress Katerina Velikaya (Catherine the Great). Georgievskiy Orden (the Order of St. George) was the highest order awarded for soldiers’ valor during the Russian Empire days and it was distinguished by its striking golden (variation: orange) and black stripes, known as Georgievskaya Lenta (band). In 1945 USSR awarded the new medal, “For the Victory over Fascism” to all Soviet soldiers who fought in the war. The medal included the Georgievskaya Band. As a result, the band became associated with Victory Day.

The colors represent the tiger stripes, hence the valor symbolism. The ancient Russian mystical knights, Vytyaz’s, wore tiger pelts to imbue themselves with the valor and bold energy of the tiger. Read more about this symbol in FREE Earth Shift Report 2: UKRAINE: TRUE HISTORY. More about Vytyaz’s and Bogatyrs in Forbidden History: Are Scandinavians Slavs?

What is Victory Banner? This is the red banner placed on top of Reichstag on May 2, 1945. This banner is now another symbol of Victory Day. Replicas of this banner are carried in many rallies and parades; you will see them in the videos below.

The same way as in Ukraine, the pro-West Moldavian authorities also attempted to morph the holiday into a “Europe day.” None of it worked.

It’s worth mentioning that last year Moldovan government attempted to remove and destroy the monument to the Soviet Soldier Liberator in the center of the capital city Chisinau, saying that instead of it they would erect a monument to Romanian language! Let’s recall this is happening in the ‘sovereign’ country of Moldova, not in Romania. Thousands came out to defend the monument, which was then left alone. Video.

The winner of the last year Moldovan elections was the pro-Customs Union Socialist party. Despite that, socialists were unable to form a government as the coalition of 3 pro-Western parties had the majority. Read Analysis and Predictions: Battleground Moldova – November 30, 2014 Elections.

Just like Ukraine, politically Moldova is ruled by oligarchs. There are two local oligarchs controlling the government, parliament, police and judiciary. The government of Moldova signed the EU association agreement and is close to fully ratifying it. However the resistance to the EU is high, which has come out quite clearly during #Victory70 celebrations on May 9, 2015. In the above article about elections in Moldova I said that the country is now in a state of fragile equilibrium, during which they won’t be able to move either towards the EU or Russia for a couple of years. Everything will change and the new balance will be established in 2-4 years.

In defiance of the attempts to ban Georgievskaya Lentochka, in Kishinev (Chisinau) people spread out the world’s largest Georgievskaya Band and a huge banner with words ‘Za Rodinu’ – ‘For Motherland.’ Same kind of huge banners and bands were carried out in Beltsi, the capital of northern Moldova (Balti) and other cities. This was done by the movement ‘Motherland-Eurasian Union.’ A sight to behold! Video:

Another video of the mega-Georgievskaya Band and banner. Plus, the video includes live Victory Day hello from cosmonauts at the ISS especially for Moldavians – at 2:15 (Марш Победы в Кишиневе и видеосвязь с МКС – За Родину!):

May 9, 2015, Kishinev (Chisinau), Moldova. A sea of people and lots of replicas of the red Victory Banners and Georgievsky banners. Over 100,000 people marched through Chisinau. This is especially impressive considering the entire population of Kishinev is 664,000, and that’s before we subtract a large percentage of people working abroad.

According to the rally organizers, hundreds of thousands came to the Great War Memorial in Chisinau, Moldova, on May 9, 2015. People kept arriving all day long. I am being told that when that sea of people you saw on previous video suddenly approached the memorial, they were first not let in by police. Turned out that the country ‘leadership’ was there, laying wreaths (official story), or… I don’t know, stealing valuables, perhaps. I would love to see the looks on their faces when they saw that 100,000+ strong mob with red banners and banned Georgievskaya Bands. The ‘leadership’ quickly finished their business and left the site, after which people could enter. Video of the Memorial rally:

Meanwhile in Ukraine…

Georgievskaya Bands, Victory Banner and any other Victory/Soviet/communist symbolism were banned throughout the country.

However, in Odessa people still came out with all that. Thousands came to the monument of the Unknown Sailor. According to the official police data, 42,000 people went through police controls throughout the day.

Odessa was the only city in Ukraine which had Victory Day fireworks. Actually two fireworks! People privately prepared their own fireworks, but the city administration made a last moment decision to have fireworks as well.

The monument and the surrounding memorial cemetery on the Alley of the Glory was drowning in flowers. People chanted: “Russians are our brothers,” “Odessa – Hero City,” “Victory will be ours,” and “Ukro-bandera devils, out of Odessa.” The rally turned into the anti-Kiev-junta manifestation. Odessa became the only city in Ukraine where thousands came out on May 9th. Everywhere else people were scared. Odessans are so furious at the May 2nd that any little spark could ignite an uprising; therefore, ukro-nazis didn’t dare interfere.

Kharkov and other Ukraine cities didn’t fare nearly as well as Odessa: the May 9th celebrations, symbolism, any marches or gatherings were forbidden and those vets who dared to come out were in danger of being attacked or humiliated by ukro-nazis.

Odessa, May 9, 2015, Monument to the Unknown Sailor, Alley of the Glory, the Shevchenko Park:

It’s good to see that there is a mass awakening in Moldova. The fact that Moldavian citizens are able to successfully defend their view of how holidays should be celebrated means that my prediction that the pro-EU and pro-Romanian forces in Moldova are gradually weakening and pro-Eurasian Union forces are getting stronger – is coming true.

Happy Victory Day!

Today, on May 9th, a massive Victory Parade takes place on Red Square and in other 25 cities all over Russia. See my coverage here: #Victory70 May 9th Red Square and All Russia Victory Day Parades Marathon

These parades are full of well-trained troops and impressive new hardware, as well as historic T-34 tanks from the Great Patriotic War. Also, there is a new tradition, called “The Immortal Regiment.” Overall 12 million people in Russia and beyond took part in the Immortal Regiment marches. This was a sight to behold. A boundless sea of people participated in Moscow, carrying pictures of their relatives who perished in the war. Putin joined, carrying a photo of his father.

‘Immortal Regiment’ march: Putin joins huge crowd paying tribute to WW2 soldiers

#БессмертныйПолк #ImmortalRegiment

While big battles with many casualties, tragedy and loss played out for six difficult years on the fronts of the most devastating war humans have ever known, I want to talk about another war – the war that was invisible to all but a few; the kind of war that dramatically shifted the balance of power on the planet. It was the war that helped ensure Victory Day.

You all know that I love to write spy thrillers. In fact, my thrillers are about spies by accident and out of necessity. GOLD TRAIN (Accidental Spy Russia Adventure) is about American journalist Jade Snow who goes to Moscow to re-discover her deep Russian roots and to get that bomb of a story; instead she finds herself between the rock and the hard place when duty and curiosity draw her to unravel a major conspiracy. THE EARTH SHIFTER, usually called a mystical thriller, has a significant spy thriller component. Sasha’s father Professor Maxim Elfimov happens to also be a master remote viewer and unbeknownst to him, he is husband to a spy. He becomes a spy in order to avenge his wife and protect his daughter, whose destiny is to become the Earth Shifter.

What can I say, I love spies. When I was barely 10, I often found myself inventing spy thriller stories in my head. I also love watching very intelligently made spy movies. Probably the best movies I’ve even seen in this genre were Soviet ones. Today, I want to share two of the best TV mini-series ever made.

Seventeen Moments of Spring (Russian: Семнадцать мгновений весны).

semnadzat mgnoveniy vesni

It was filmed at Gorky Film Studio, directed by Tatyana Lioznova and based on the book with the same title by the novelist Yulian Semyonov. The series comprises 12 episodes 70 minutes each. Starring Russian screen legend Vyacheslav Tikhonov. Other leading roles were performed by Leonid Bronevoy, Oleg Tabakov, Yuri Vizbor, Yevgeniy Yevstigneyev, Rostislav Plyatt, Vasily Lanovoy, and Mikhail Zharkovsky.

When the new episode of this film was on, streets got empty as everyone – young and old – were glued to their screens. Crime was generally very low in the USSR, but police reported that during Seventeen Moments of Spring it became non-existent, as even criminals had taken to watching it. The movie made an indelible impression, especially when it first came out. It painted a realistic and profound picture of Germany and Europe during the burning hot Spring 1945. It includes some real documentary footage of WWII battles, as well as Hitler and other historic figures of that time, embedded in the film. Real documents of those days are presented, as well as fictional documents based on real historic events. The film was masterminded in such a way as to seem like a documentary, therefore, it was originally black and white, to coincide with the documentary footage and appear more realistic. A color version was also made.

Historic Fact: As the Russian army approaches Berlin, in March 1945 Soviet leadership finds out that someone in Hitler’s closest inner circle is trying to sign a unilateral surrender with the supposed Soviet ally USA, bypassing USSR, who has done most of the work and suffered by far most casualties in the war against fascism. The secret negotiator for the US was Allen Dulles and negotiations did take place on March 8, 1945 in Switzerland. It becomes clear that many of the Nazi criminals who committed despicable acts on the territory of the USSR and who, according to the allied agreement, are supposed to be tried by the international tribunal, may avoid retribution as they will be quietly whisked away to the USA, while most of the Nazi power structures are kept intact behind the Russians’ backs. The operation was codenamed both Operation Sunrise and Operation Crossword (“Sunrise Crossword” in the film).

Berlin is already being bombed. Soviet leadership contacts the deep cover agent implanted into the Nazi regime since 1920s, who goes by the name Standartenführer SS Otto von Stierlitz, known to only a few in Moscow as Colonel Maxim Isaev. He was probably the highest placed Russian agent in Nazi Germany and Schellenberg’s protegé. Stierlitz must find out who exactly is behind these secret negotiations. As the news get more and more alarming, the Russian agent must also derail unilateral surrender plans. How, that’s the question.

As Stierlitz tries to figure out whether it’s Himmler, Goebbels or Bormann who are attempting to sign the surrender, there are unforseen complications. During US/UK bombing of Berlin, Stierlitz’ radio-criptographer is killed and his pregnant wife, his second radio specialist, is wounded and captured by Gestapo. As he attempts to solve the mystery of who is behind the negotiations, derail American plans and at the same time save his assistant, Stierlitz must find alternative ways of delivering his messages. A multi-layered cat and mouse game begins as he is also being investigated by Gestapo. The plot thickens…

As we know from history, the unilateral surrender never happened, thanks to that Soviet officer whose true name will never be known. Seventeen Moments of Spring is a fictionalized account; names and circumstances have been modified. However, the events described in the film did take place and the unilateral surrender almost became a reality.

This movie, like most Russian movies, has great songs and music score. Watch clip and listen to the famous song, Somewhere Far Away.

Shield and Sword (Russian: Щит и меч)

Filmed at Mosfilm in 1968, it consists of 4 episodes. Starring Russian screen legends Stanislav Lyubshin as deep cover Russian agent Johann Weiss (aka Alexandr Belov) and Oleg Yankovsky as a spoiled rich brat turned anti-fascist Heinrich Schwarzkopf. Also made in black and white to represent the era.

A modest and helpful auto mechanic Johann Weiss is a so-called Volksdeutsche, or ethnic German living in Riga, Latvia circa 1940. But that’s only his cover. In reality, he is Russian Alexandr Belov. Many Germans living in Latvia are thinking about repatriating to Germany as the smell of the upcoming war is getting stronger. Johann’s best client is wealthy engineer and inventor Schwarzkopf. His son Heinrich is also a client and an unlikely friend, despite the difference in social stature.

Engineer Schwarzkopf is very valuable to both sides. Germans are convincing him to move back to Germany to help out arming and equipping the growing German army. Suddenly, Schwarzkopf Sr. is killed. Johann learns that a day prior engineer received Soviet citizenship and was planning on moving to Moscow. Afraid that the formiddable knowledge and secrets in his head would become Russian property, local leader of German Nazis has ordered him killed; however, aloud he says that it was USSR that took him out because he was planning on moving to Berlin.

Devasted Heinrich decides to move to Berlin and Johann follows. Heinrich’s influential uncle gets Johann a lucrative placement in German intelligence, Abwehr. Johann’s career skyrockets as he proves to be a very helpful and level-headed officer.

Johann (Lyubshin) left, Heinrich (Yankovsky) right

Meanwhile, as Heinrich observes Nazi atrocities, he gets more and more disgusted. He starts doubting the official story of his father’s death. Eventually, Johann’s friends show him proof of his father’s Soviet citizenship and his assassination by Germans. Heinrich becomes double agent now working directly with Johann.

The movie includes a universally beloved song “Where does the Motherland Begin?” as well as others. I wish I could post the song here, but Mosfilm doesn’t allow the embedding of its videos. It’s a very beautiful melody, and lyrics are simply stellar. Here is the video of this song, with a great clip from Shield and Sword, in memory of Oleg Yankovsky (С чего начинается родина – памяти Олега Янковского).

Unfortunately, I could only find Shield and Sword in Russian:

Episode 1   Episode 2    Episode 3    Episode 4

Both films are based on true stories of real Russian spies.

Devastating Tragedy of WWII: Blockade of Leningrad and How Vladimir Putin’s Family Survived It

animation den pobedy 2

Tomorrow is May 9th. HAPPY VICTORY DAY!

This post is part of the 70 YEARS OF THE GREAT VICTORY MARATHON

They say there was no family in the 250 million Soviet Union that didn’t experience a loss in the Great Patriotic War, usually referred to in the West as World War II. This is why the Great Victory celebrated on May 9th is called ‘a holiday with tears in our eyes.’

Leningrad, presently St. Petersburg, a city of unsurpassed beauty and treasures on the Neva River, was one of the hardest hit during that brutal war. It is one of the original four Hero Cities for the heroism and spirit displayed by its troops and citizens (later, more cities were given the Hero City title). The other three were Stalingrad, Moscow and Odessa. Each had a unique and devastating story to tell.

Among them, Leningrad stood out by the amount of tragedy, sacrifice and starvation inflicted on simple citizens through the inhumane blockade, which left the multi-million city without food for almost 900 days.

Odessa had a different story to tell. Due to the city’s location, its siege, perpetrated by Germany and Romania together, was punctuated with severe water shortage. Thirst, not hunger, was what killed people in southern steppes. During sieges of Stalingrad and Moscow the killers were bombs and bullets. But undeniably, the most devastating and tragic story of the entire WWII was the Siege and Blockade of Leningrad (Russian: блокада Ленинграда).

It is something Russians remember very well… even those of us who were born decades after, even those who had never been to Leningrad. It is imprinted in our collective psyche.

It is also something that unfortunately those who live in the US, Canada, EU, Poland or Germany probably could never understand. Perhaps that’s why they have such immature and cavalier attitude towards WWII, Russia’s role and sacrifice in it. Or perhaps they are simply afraid of the Russian spirit and ability to withstand such hardship for the idea. Perhaps, this is why they need to do anything they possibly can to diminish and malign the country that saved the world from fascism.

Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia. I am usually very careful about quoting Wikipedia as much of its info is biased and inaccurate, to put it mildly. But this piece seems one of the few telling the truth. Link.

Wikipedia quote:

“The Siege of Leningrad, also known as the Leningrad Blockade (Russian: блокада Ленинградаtransliteration: blokada Leningrada) was a prolonged military operation undertaken by the German Army Group North against Leningrad—historically and currently known as Saint Petersburg—in the Eastern Front theatre ofWorld War II. The siege started on 8 September 1941, when the last road to the city was severed. Although the Soviets managed to open a narrow land corridor to the city on 18 January 1943, the siege was finally lifted on 27 January 1944, 872 days after it began. It was one of the longest and most destructive sieges in history and overwhelmingly the most costly in terms of casualties.

The capture of Leningrad was one of three strategic goals in the German Operation Barbarossa and the main target of Army Group North. The strategy was motivated by Leningrad‘s political status as the former capital of Russia and the symbolic capital of the Russian Revolution, its military importance as a main base of the Soviet Baltic Fleet and its industrial strength, housing numerous arms factories.[12] By 1939 the city was responsible for 11% of all Soviet industrial output.[13] It has been reported that Adolf Hitler was so confident of capturing Leningrad that he had the invitations to the victory celebrations to be held in the city’s Hotel Astoria already printed.[14] Yet, although various theories have been forwarded about Nazi Germany‘s ultimate plans for Leningrad, including renaming the city Adolfsburg (as claimed by Soviet journalist Lev Bezymenski) [15] and making it the capital of the new Ingermanland province of the Reich in Generalplan Ost, it is clear that Hitler’s intention was to utterly destroy the city and its population. According to a directive sent to Army Group North on 29 September, “After the defeat of Soviet Russia there can be no interest in the continued existence of this large urban center. […] Following the city’s encirclement, requests for surrender negotiations shall be denied, since the problem of relocating and feeding the population cannot and should not be solved by us. In this war for our very existence, we can have no interest in maintaining even a part of this very large urban population.”[16] Hitler’s ultimate plan was to raze Leningrad to the ground and give areas north of the River Neva to the Finns.”

Piskariovskoye Cemetery

I visited Leningrad – St. Petersburg several times in my life. It truly is the most beautiful and impressive historic city in the world. I took the time to go to the Piskariovskoye Memorial Cemetery where the victims of the 872-day blockade found their final resting place. It’s a huge field filled with alleys, flowers, and rows and rows of granite stones listing the names of those buried underneath – 500,000 in total. The entire toll of the blockade was over 640,000.

The Piskariovskoye Cemetery museum has photographs, documents and diaries of those who perished. There was a girl’s diary that struck me most. The little girl named Tanya documented every day things like: “Auntie died today, my little brother died, mommy died.” Then her hand was getting less steady as more people around her passed. The final entry was, “Tanya all alone.” The girl Tanya was buried with others on that cemetery.

Immortal stories of the people’s spirit during the Leningrad Blockade

Leningrad is home to some of the most beautiful museums and architecture in the world, filled with treasured art, science and literature. When Germans advanced, workers of the museums and libraries tried to save their treasures, aided by locals and soldiers. A lot of priceless art from Leningrad museums was evacuated, some under severe shelling and German aviation bombings.

Leningrad is full of gorgeous bridges and statues. To attempt to save them from bombings, the starving, exhausted citizens would wrap the statues in anything protective they could find, often building protective shields around them. That way they saved for posterity many, many priceless works of art.

See my post for more great pics of the magnificent Leningrad treasures saved for posterity: Tsars, Oligarchs and Imperial Treasure: ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA.

The great Russian composer Dmitry Shostakovich survived the Leningrad Blockade and wrote some of his most striking music during that time. He refused to leave his city; during the blockade, Shostakovich along with other artists, would play for the starving people and troops. These radio concerts would be broadcast via loudspeakers placed all over the city, bringing hope and lifting the morale.

Shostakovich – Symphony No 7: The LENINGRAD SYMPHONY, 1941 (Gergiev). The symphony became a symbol of anti-fascist resistance.

Amber Room

One of the most famous Leningrad treasures was the Amber Room, once given to empress Katerina Velikaya (Catherine the Great) by Prussian king – a feat which, according to historic accounts, bankrupted him. The Amber Room was so unique and beautiful that it was called the Eighth Wonder of the World. The value of the Amber Room? Simply priceless. The gorgeous, but fragile, amber panels were mounted onto a room at the Catherine Palace in the town of Pushkino, on the outskirts of St. Petersburg. Additional panels and paintings were created by Russian artisans in order to complete the room. The empress could sit in it for hours, forgetting about time and space. Anyone who saw the Amber Room is purported to have been awed by its beauty and otherworldly energy.

During the 1941 German advancement, the workers of the Catherine Palace museum managed to wrap up and evacuate practically all of the treasures. But they were afraid to move the fragile Amber Room, fearing it could get damaged if they tried to dismantle the panels. Instead, the decision was made to camouflage it by painting something on top of the panels and building fake walls around it. They hoped Germans would overlook the Amber Room.

When Pushkino was taken their hopes evaporated. Germans arrived with blueprints and drawings. They brought specialists with them, ready to dismantle the treasure. They also arrived with transportation and packaging. They knew exactly where to find the Amber Room; in fact, taking the Amber Room was one of their major goals in Leningrad, orders coming directly from Hitler.

Some of you may know the story: the Amber Room was taken to Königsberg (now Kaliningrad) and stayed there until Soviet troops approached the city. Then it was loaded onto a ship, which may, or may not have, drowned. The Amber Room vanished to never be seen again. Its mystery remains unsolved.

Several years ago the Russian artists and scientists completed the painstaking duplication of the Amber Room, after many years of research and work. The Amber Room 2.0 is now open to the public.

How Vladimir Putin’s Family Survived the Siege and Blockade of Leningrad

Excerpts from Nemo’s own translation of the original story by

the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, published in Russian Pioneer 4/30/2015

Read the entire post: “Life is such a simple, yet cruel thing”

“Father worked at a military enterprise when the war started, being exempt from conscription. But he wrote an application to join the party, and then another application – that he wants to go to the front. He was dispatched to the subversive detachment of the NKVD. It was a small detachment. He said that there were 28 people in it, and they were deployed behind the enemy lines to carry out acts of sabotage, undermine bridges, railway tracks… But they were almost immediately ambushed. Someone betrayed them. They came to a village, and then went out, and when after a while they returned, the Nazis were already waiting for them there. They were chased through the woods, and father survived because he climbed into a swamp, and spent a few hours in that swamp, breathing through a reed. While sitting in the swamp and breathing through the reed, he heard how the German soldiers were passing nearby, just a few steps away from him, how the dogs were yapping…

It was the beginning of autumn, in other words – already cold… I also remember how he told me that the leader of their group was a German. A Soviet citizen, but a German.

And here’s what’s curious: a couple of years ago, the archives of the Defence Ministry handed me the case of this group. There is a copy of the case in my home, in Novo-Ogaryovo. A list of the group, names, patronymics and brief descriptions. Yes, 28 people. And at the head – a German. Everything as it was told by my father.

Of the 28 people, only 4 crossed the front line back to ours. 24 were killed.

They were re-assigned to the active army, and sent on to Nevsky Pyatachok. It was probably the hottest place during the whole of the Leningrad Blockade. Our troops held a small bridgehead. Four kilometres in width and some two kilometres in depth. It was supposed to be a springboard for the future breaking of the blockade. But it never got used for this purpose. They broke through the blockade elsewhere. Still the spot (Nevsky Pyatachok) was held, held for a long time, there was heavy fighting there. Very heavy. There are commanding heights above and all around it, it’s shot at throughout. The Germans were, of course, also aware that it’s there that a breakthrough may be attempted, and tried to simply erase the Nevsky Pyatachok  off the face of the earth. There is data about how much metal there is in each square meter of the land. There’s still metal all over the place there.

Father explained how he was wounded there. The wound was heavy. All his life he lived with shrapnel in his leg: not all fragments could be taken out. The leg ached. Foot didn’t bend since then. The medics preferred not to touch the small fragments so as not to shatter the bone. And, thank God, the leg was saved. They could, after all, amputate it. He got a good doctor. He had the second group disablement. As a disabled veteran, he was eventually given an apartment. It was our first separate apartment. A small two-room apartment. (Translators remark: Before that the Putins lived in a communal apartment, where several families share the facilities, corridor and kitchen, and sleep in separate rooms.) However, before that we lived in the centre and now we had to move. True, not quite to the outskirts, but to a new-built area. And it happened, of course, not immediately after the war, but when I already worked in the KGB. I was not given an apartment then, but my father finally got his. It was a great happiness. And here’s how he was wounded. He, together with a comrade, did a little sortie into the rear of the Germans, crawling, crawling… And then it becomes both funny and sad at the same time: they got to a German bunker, and, father said, out of it comes a man, a huge guy, and looks at them… and they couldn’t get up while they were staring into the barrel of a gun. “The man – he says – looked at us very carefully, then he took out a grenade, then another, and threw those grenades at us. Well… ” Life is such a simple, yet cruel thing.

By chance, father’s neighbour from Peterhof was nearby. And that neighbour pulled him over without hesitation and managed to drag him to the hospital. The neighbour waited for him at the hospital, made sure that he was operated, and said, “All right, now you’re going to live, and I am off to die.”

My mother told me how she visited father at the hospital. They had a small child, a three-year-old. At that time there was blockade, hunger… My father would give her his hospital ration, secretly from doctors and nurses. She hid it, took it home and fed the child. When father began to faint from hunger in the hospital, doctors and nurses understood what was happening and didn’t allow her to visit any more.

And then the child was taken away from her. It was done, as she later explained, in a compulsory fashion in order to save small children from starvation. They were collected to the orphanages for further evacuation. Parents were not asked.

He fell ill there – my mother said that it was with diphtheria – and didn’t survive. They were not even told where he was buried. They have never learnt where. And then, last year, completely unfamiliar to me people worked on their own initiative through the archives and found documents about my brother. And that’s really my brother. Because I knew that they lived then, after fleeing from Peterhof from the advancing German troops, at their friends’ place – and I even knew the address. They lived, as we call it, on the Water Channel (Vodnyj Kanal). It would be better to call it a “Bypass channel” (Obvodnyj Kanal), but in Leningrad it’s called “Water Channel”. I know for sure that they had lived there. And not only the address, where he was taken from, coincided. Name, surname, patronymic, date of birth coincided as well. It was, of course, my brother. And there was stated the place of burial: Piskaryovskoye Cemetery. And even the specific area was given.

Parents were told nothing of this. Well, apparently, other things had higher priority back then.

So, everything that my parents told about the war was true. Not a single word was invented; not a single day was moved. About my brother, about the neighbour, about the German, commander of the group. Everything matches. And all this got later confirmed in an incredible way.

After her child was taken away, mother was left alone. When father was allowed to walk, he stood up on crutches and went home. And when he came to the house, he saw that the medics were carrying corpses out of the entrance. And he saw my mother. He came up, and it seemed to him that she was breathing. He told the medics: “She’s still alive!” – “She’ll pass away along the way – said the nurse. – She won’t survive.” He told that he pounced on them with crutches and forced them to lift her back into the apartment. They told him: “Well, we’ll do as you say, but know that we will not come here for another two or three or four weeks. You’ll have to sort it out yourself then.”

He nursed her back to life. She survived and lived until 1999. He died in late 1998.

After the lifting of the blockade, they moved to the homeland of their parents, in the Tver oblast, and lived there until the end of the war. Father’s family was quite large. He had, after all, six brothers, and five of them were killed in the war. This is a disaster for the family. And my mother’s relatives also died. I was a late child; she gave birth to me when she was 41.

There was not a family where someone didn’t die. So much grief, misfortune and tragedy… But they had no hatred for the enemy, that’s what’s amazing. To be honest, I still cannot fully understand this. My mother was a very gentle, kind person… She said, “Well, what kind of hatred can one have toward these soldiers? They are simple people and also died in the war.” It’s amazing. We were brought up on Soviet books, movies… and hatred. But she somehow did not have it in her. And I remember very well her words: “Well, what can you have against them? They are also hard workers, just like us. They were simply force-driven to the front.”

I never forgot those words.”

Lada’s 2 cents:

It’s a tragic and beautiful story. There is only one thing on which I would disagree with President Putin. Quote: “We were brought up on Soviet books, movies… and hatred. But she somehow did not have it in her.”

Yes, we were brought up on Soviet books and movies, but not on hatred. My family didn’t have any hatred towards Germans either, although they lost a lot – see post. Neither do I.  In fact, I personally love German culture and as a student I had two close German friends. It was a common thing. There was no hatred then, and there isn’t any now.

But there is memory – memory which must be kept at all cost. When those old Soviet movies were made, they were created by those who either experienced war themselves or those who remembered it from direct participants. There are fewer and fewer such people left today. We must do everything to preserve the real truth about those events in order to avoid this kind of madness in the future. This is why attempts by some to re-write history cannot be tolerated.

Mysteries of Siberia and Amazing Shamanic Singing from Khakassia

Reblogged from Lada Ray Blog:

This post is about Khakassia, Siberia – a hidden cultural and archeological gem, full of treasured forbidden history monuments and home to incredible shamanic throat singing. Khakassia is now being rebuilt, while struggling to overcome tragic consequences of the recent forest fire.

khakassia-republic-map

Khakassia is a small autonomous republic in southern Siberia, Russian Federation; population about 500,000. It’s located between the large metropolises of Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk.

russia-khakassia

Map of the Russian Federation – Khakassia is in red

Just like the nearby Tyva and other mystical stretches of Siberia and the Far East, Khakassia is the realm of ancient shamans, famous for its one-of-a-kind throat singing. This land of steppes and forests resembles an open-air museum, the keeper of mysteries of our true past. It is called the archeological Mecca of Siberia, with 30,000 stonehenges, remnants of ancient cities and fortresses, kurgan pyramids as burial sites, and rock engravings strewn all over Khakassian steppes.

The primordial rocks dotting the landscape are sacred ancestral energy portals commonly found in Siberia, Crimea, Caucasus and all over Russia. The British Stonehenge was made famous, but you could say that the entire Russia is one giant Stonehenge. Some of these ancient portals are still awaiting their discovery.

Recently, Khakassia experienced a terrible tragedy. An unusually dry and warm weather for this time of year resulted in a giant forest fire. This fire was carried by the improbably strong winds, reaching 30 m/second. Since the traditional construction material of choice in the forested northern parts of Khakassia is wood, a number of local villages burned down, leaving thousands displaced.

Meet Ruslan Gurude, amazing shamanic singer from Khakassia.

Ruslan Gurude (Ivakin) is a multi-talented economist, singer and composer from Khakassia. During the first show of the New Star («Новая Звезда») All-Russia singing competition, he amazed both audience and judges with his powerful performance of a Khakassian shamanic song. His incredible throat singing, common for these parts, but interpreted by Ruslan in a fresh and unique way, left his audience in awe.

I think our only salvation from the mindless, mind-numbing pop that is flooding stage and TV screens all over the world is this kind of genuine, authentic folk singing. The future is the kind of singing that is encoded with our genetic memory. This is what the world needs to listen to in order to awaken and recall our real roots. It is up to us to decode it and remember the truth…

LadaRayLive 11. Germans Are Coming to Crimea (in German w. English/Russian subs) – my authored English translation.

Some in Germany are awake…and singing. Two spunky German retirees didn’t believe Western MSM and decided to see for themselves what’s really going on in Crimea. ‘Around Crimea in 20 days’ cycling tour and a cool song that went viral, were born. The tour (May 9 – 29, 2015) is planned to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in WWII over fascism, which will be celebrated on May 9 everywhere in Russia and many other countries. It will be celebrated with a great parade in Sevastopol, where our German friends will begin their tour. Want to join? You are invited – more in the video.

Striking WWII Footage and Inspiring Song of the Great Victory

Don’t miss this video!

This is a very nice song about the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and the Great Victory. The real documentary footage from 1941-45 is a revelation, including battles, the historic Victory Banner over Berlin’s Reichstag, but especially, the striking footage of how those who were lucky to survive were greeted back home.

“For all those who are alive, and who are already gone – and for those who are still to be born…”

For that Moscow became one of the first 4 cities to receive the title of the “Hero City.” Each carriage is dedicated to one of the Hero Cities, including, Odessa, Leningrad, Stalingrad, Fortress Brest (Belarus), Sevastopol (Crimea), etc. One can freely walk between carriages to see the entire exhibit.
