THIS IS NOT AN EXCERPT!

IT’S A BRAND NEW COMPARATIVE REPORT, DRAWING ON THE BOOK AND EXPANDING ON IT!

In my new book Geopolitical & Geo-Economic Quantum Calibrations (ebook and paerback), among many other things, you will read about peer groups and peer-to-peer comparisons.

And in my free Sunday article, UKRAINE ELECTIONS REPORT, expanding on my new book, I have talked about Ukraine and how much it deteriorated since 2014.

The book makes all the developments taking place in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, together with over 100 other countries, territories, governments and world organizations, clear through calibrations and a unique blend of geopolitical, Earth Shift and multidimensional analysis.

In this exclusive post I want to go further! Let’s compare the three formerly very close sisterly republics, which have been developing as separate, yet still very much linked states. Just pure factual comparisons in this article, along with some multidimensional stuff (please see the extensive calibrations of all three, together with expanded chapters, in the book)!

Let’s find out how exactly and why a massive divergence between the three occurred in the past 27 years.

Sisters: Russia and Ukraine (and Belarus, too)

I think this article makes for a very educational, and almost mystical, case study. By reading it in conjunction with the book’s calibrations, you’ll get a full and truly fascinating picture of evolution – or when applicable, devolution – of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus!

LET’S DIVE IN!

You’ll find that EURASIA/Russian World/Post-Soviet Space is grouped as a separate segment in the book. Historically the closest peers in it have been Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Included are expanded chapters analyzing all three.

I still remember how it was during the USSR days: there were differences, of course, but we all were very close. To this day, people throughout the post-Soviet Space and beyond listen to the same Russian music, watch same Russian movies and read same Russian books. They speak the same language, celebrate same holidays, even if in some places they are denied their birthright. They root for the same athletes. Their mentality is still very close, and many of them have relatives and friends across borders.

Russian and Ukrainian athletes are friends, no matter what (many such pics from 2016 Brazil Olympics appeared on the Internet, in defiance of the Kiev junta).

The map of the USSR

When you read the book and this post, pay attention to how different these former sister republics of the USSR have become since its collapse! The divergence in directions of development, the differences in their lists of accomplishments and the gaps in calibrations are so epic that it almost seems unreal.

(Next closest to the three sister republics are Moldova and Kazakhstan, whose stories you’ll also read in the book!)

COMPARE RUSSIA, BELARUS & UKRAINE TODAY, 2019!

To start with, as a striking comparison from the book I am posting Current Calibrations (QC & CHI) for all three countries as a whole and calibrations of each leader! In the book each of the three boasts its own expanded article, analysis and predictions, together with a full battery of calibrations for country, leader, economy, army, solvency and sovereignty. The Russian chapter also includes bonus calibrations and interpretations for Moscow, which is one of the world’s highest calibrated capitals today, and for Russian PM, Dmitry Medvedev, the world’s highest-calibrated PM.

You will find huge and eye-opening gaps between the three countries’ values. These differences will be confirmed by the detailed comparative analysis in this brand new report!

G20, Putin, Trump, Ivanka, Merkel, Xi, Lukashenko, Poland, BRICS: Lada Ray Quantum Calibrations and Predictions!

Sept 16, 2020. This FREE report is a classic and is as relevant today as it was when it all happened! My 2017 quantum calibrations and predictions reflect today’s events and personalities, as if in the mirror! Great for students of geopolitics, global events, dark state and deep state, human behavior patterns, and for learning more about Lada Ray’s quantum calibrations and Earth Shift predictions!

Much has been written; many videos and pics have been taken of the Hamburg G20 on July 7-8.

I have decided not to repeat what has already been said. Rather, my intention is to put my absolutely unique signature perspective on the whole thing. I have accumulated many thoughts and observations surrounding these topics, this is why this all-encompassing article turned out so substantial. This is exclusive material you won’t find anywhere else; I hope you enjoy it.

On July 7 I tweeted the following:

G20, Putin, Trump, Ivanka, Merkel, Xi, BRICS: Lada Ray Quantum Calibrations and Predictions

In this article I want to lift the veil over the quantum calibrations of various events and meetings, which in turn will give you a pretty good idea as to what really went on and how the participants of G20 fared in Hamburg.

As usual, the legend is:

QC = Quantum Calibration, or cosmic energy available to object or subject

 CHI = Chi or earthly energy of manifestation in 3D, of object or subject

Overall calibrations for G20, July 7-8, 2017, Hamburg, Germany

QC 180 (pride), CHI 150 (anger) — Rather low calibration; Chi is notoriously low, considering all the protests, as well as tensions and cold shoulders happening between various parties.

Trump was unhappy being sidelined during the G20 ‘family photo’ and never showed up at the gala banquet. Melania was there alone, sitting next to Putin and having a lively and all-smiles discussion with him, as if such situation was orchestrated on purpose. Next day Trump sent Ivanka in his stead for the formal G20 session.

The infamous G20 2017 ‘family photo.’ Trump appears sidelined all the way to the left, between Macron and president of Indonesia. In reality, the protocol supposedly demanded that the newest-elect leaders would be standing furthest from the center. However, I can tell you that these protocols are routinely tweaked to promote a specific agenda, and our dear Western ‘partners’ play this game to perfection.

Recall how the seating at a similar G20 banquet event in Australia was arranged in such a way that Putin was seated all alone at one of the round tables, while other tables were overcrowded, making it appear as if he was being shunned by others.

In the G20 2017 case, considering Trump’s pride (and yes, he calibrates at the level of PRIDE), this caused much damage to his ego, and in turn prompted his further actions — read more on that below.

By comparison, look at the position of Putin, between Chinese leader Xi and Turkey’s Erdogan. This is very significant, per alliances being formed. This is the message being sent, whether German organizers intended it or not – or whether they were trying to deliberately stick it to Trump. Today’s events in 2020 are a direct development of those events in 2017. The US never forgets.

BRICS meeting on the sidelines of G20

The informal BRICS session – a traditional gathering of the BRICS during each G20 – also didn’t get anywhere. Brazil, under the new pro-US Temer government, is trying to slowly distance itself from the organization. This is a separate discussion, for another time. Today, let’s look at the informal BRICS meeting calibrations.

QC 48 (guilt), CHI (185) — Very unproductive, dismal, in fact.

As I noted previously, QC suggests that there is a big problem; this problem I believe is the behind the scenes attempt by the US to drag Brazil out of the BRICS. Similar attempts are made regarding other weak links within the BRICS: India and S. Africa.

There is a clear attempt being made to isolate Russia and China. Of course, ultimately this is impossible. But what it possible, and being attempted, is this: the slowing down of the Great Earth Shift and of the rebalancing of the world towards a more equitable multi-polar world solution. We are presently observing a global give and take struggle, with a lot of positioning among several main global players and hidden forces, such as Deep State/Dark State, with drastically different visions of the future.

This is an absolutely typical struggle for this ongoing GREAT EARTH SHIFT.

PUTIN – TRUMP G20 MEETING

It was the most watched and covered event of G20. The rest has paled and was basically a flop. The word is that Putin and Trump turned G20 into G2. By far the most anticipated event of G20, Putin – Trump meeting was the only bright spot of this dismal event. Arguably, Trump was at G20 specifically to meet with Putin. I believe he used the G20 cover to arrange the conversation with Putin.

This meeting, which met with a huge resistance and sabotage in the US, is basically a rehearsal for the formal meeting between the two, which is being prepared. However, the resistance will always be enormous. Remember the STRAITJACKET I predicted for Trump?

That notorious STRAITJACKET and Trump’s attempts to push back against restrictions, was visible in everything.

The tension, struggle and overcoming resistance shows in the calibration of the Putin-Trump meeting:

QC 210 (confrontational courage), CHI 210 (confrontational courage)

The pre-announced sidelines talk was supposed to last 30 minutes. Instead, it lasted 2 hours and 16 minutes. Only Putin, Trump and respective FMs, Lavrov and Tillerson, as well as translators, were present.

Conspicuously excluded were Trump’s national security adviser, Russophobe McMasters, various aides, and the press.

Trying to disrupt the meeting, the American side sent various envoys into the closed room, attempting to lure Trump away. At the 1+ hour mark Melania Trump was sent in, with words, ‘Can I have my husband back?’ That didn’t work either. The meeting continued well overtime, and except for Putin and Lavrov official pressers, the parties aren’t sharing what was discussed.

Incidentally, during his G20 presser, Lavrov was uncharacteristically annoyed at the press and their dumb questions. Let’s recall that during earlier Trump’s meeting in Washington DC with Lavrov, American MSM was also excluded, while Russian press was allowed in.

Of course, this is part of Trump’s revenge against US MSM, and it also coincides with the wishes of the Russian side. Lavrov, this consummate and impeccable lifetime diplomat, has been lately noticeably pissed at the crazed and ill-bred American ‘journalists’ — something he let being known publicly.

I recently tweeted this:

I don’t know what the big discovery is, to be frank. I’ve known what US MSM was really about since the ’90s, and happily unsubscribed from all American papers, magazines and turned off all TV channels since. If you remember, it was still the time when there really was no internet and papers/magazines/TV were kings.

Back to Putin-Trump meeting. The detail noted by everyone was the handshake. No sign of the usual Trump’s aggressive handshake. Let’s not forget, Putin is martial arts Black Belt – such handshake could be quite risky. 😉

You all recall Trump’s signature handshake, during which he would pull his partner in various directions, in order to disorient and dislodge him. A habit from his tough business-dealing days, this handshake made a very uneasy splash among worried world leaders. Recall how he pulled and tagged on Japan PM’s Abe hand, not letting it go, and when he finally did, Abe winced in pain and exhaled with relief. The same kind of handshake disoriented Canada PM Justin Trudeau to such a degree that he had to brace himself against Trump to avoid toppling over. France’s Macron had to enter into a bona fide wrestling match with Trump, accompanied with a vicious stare, in order to assert himself.

It was unmistakable this time. Trump offered a completely uncharacteristic handshake to Putin. Open hand, palm up. The body language was clear: I have nothing to hide, let’s be friends. For a moment camera caught Putin looking at that hand a bit skeptically. Don’t blame him: Russia has a long history believing the word of Americans and the West in general, only to see it routinely broken. Putin is a student of history, and he is former KGB. He knows exactly what’s going on. Even if Trump himself has good intentions, he is surrounded with too many dark forces who’d spent lifetimes working on one single mission: to prevent any real breakthroughs between Russia and US. (Also, towards the bottom of this article see about Trump’s Polish faux pas).

Will this ever change? I am overall optimistic: it can, but it will take a lot of time, much work and much global rebalancing.

Putin hesitated for only one second – he extended his hand and they shared a very nice, even and mutually respectful handshake. Both displayed some very subtle and, unlike Trump’s normal behavior, inoffensive signature alpha male moves. But Trump’s hand being at the bottom is clearly a somewhat submissive gesture. It sort of says, “I recognize you are the leading alpha male here.”

This takes us back to my original Twitter prediction ‘don’t expect too much from this Putin-Trump meeting.’ Basically they have achieved the main thing: they met and spoke for as long as possible, considering all the pressures Trump has against him. This is already a huge breakthrough. More contacts will continue, but they’ll continue being laced with provocations and sabotage.

This is not to say that positive changes in US-Russia relations aren’t possible. They will be happening, albeit slowly and in small, incremental steps.

Please recall my prediction made in Earth Shift Report 16: US Elections, and in Webinar 1: Will Trump Survive his First Term? These predictions were made in October 2016 and February 4, 2017. Some even earlier. As you’ll see, they are materializing.

1. I said that Trump would be put in a straitjacket, allowed only to move in a narrow channel of possible actions, directed into certain actions and steered away from others. This prediction has been re-confirmed so quickly, so many times an in such spectacular fashion that even I didn’t expect that.

2. I said that US really has very little to offer Russia at this point because Russia is not ready to accept Ukraine back and carry it as dead weight, after it has been utterly destroyed by the 2014 Nuland subversion. I also said that The the Kissinger Ukraine and Post-Soviet Space Plan implies that US will begin slowly and secretly disengaging from Ukraine, as well as certain other areas.

Trump-Putin discussion confirmed all that: Kiev has to observe Minsk agreements; a special envoy has been designated by the US for further talks in Moscow to end Ukraine crisis. Never mind that this envoy is considered McCain’s man — most likely this is yet another move to bide time, until a better solution is found. This better time and better solution will begin in mid-2018 and into early 2019.

Overall, this move indicates Russia wants to include Trump/US in informal negotiations on Ukraine, which in turn indicates the terms of the abandoning of the Ukraine project are on the table.

Meanwhile, the Normandy format met on the sidelines of G20, with only 3 our of 4 parties present. The original Normandy format implied 4 parties: Russia/Putin; Germany/Merkel; France/Hollande (now Macron) and Kiev/Poroshenko. Poroshenko was snubbed for invitation to G20 at Putin’s request, and excluded from negotiations. None of the new developments have been discussed with Kiev by any of the parties.

In reality, both US and EU leaders can’t wait to get rid of Poroshenko and the whiny Kiev junta — they just don’t know how.

As I said, Russia is absolutely not in a rush to accept Ukraine in this condition, or in any shape or form. Russia will hold off on any decisions until at least mid-2018, in other words, past Russian presidential election. It is likely that Russia will hold this position, watch what happens and do nothing until spring of 2019, after Gasprom shuts down all gas traffic through Ukraine. This is a separate discussion and we’ll have it later.

3. I said that the only possible real cooperation between Russia and USA, which may result in some moderate breakthroughs, is Syria. As we have seen, Putin and Trump agreed on ceasefire and 3 de-escalation zones in Syria. It’s interesting that for now the order in these areas will be maintained by the Russian military police, in coordination with Jordan and US. The roadmap for this de-escalation has been developed during Astana Assad-opposition talks, facilitated by Russia and Kazakhstan. Trump has agreed to this roadmap.

Of course, Russians are reasonably skeptical about this agreement. The previous agreements with Kerry and Obama were all quickly broken by the US. It is clear that Trump (per my original predictions) doesn’t control much of his government and underlings. There are leaks and revolts here and there. This will, unfortunately, continue – again per my predictions.

How Merkel met her guests

Merkel greeted each of her guests on the red carpet. You may have seen that footage. It was pretty remarkable how different her reactions were to various leaders. Let’s calibrate how she felt about some of them!

Merkel greets Trump: QC 85 (grief) – very bad relationship, no wonder Trump sabotaged G20 meeting by sending Ivanka in his stead.

Merkel greets Putin: QC 185 (pride) – Merkel has been basically told the following: Germany needs Nord Stream 2 yesterday, or there will be trouble. Siemens desperately needs fat Russian contracts and big orders to survive. Therefore, suck it up, granny, stop playing your silly games, forget Ukraine and Crimea – it’s time to make up with Russia. As I predicted in 2014: they huff and puff for 2-3 years, and then it’s business as usual.

Merkel greets Erdogan: QC 45 (guilt). Hardly tolerating him – after all, Turkey did boot out German military from its NATO bases.

Merkel greets Macron: QC 210 (confrontational courage). They kissed, Macron is Merkel’s best friend nowadays, especially when it comes to countering Trump or dealing with Ukraine.

PUTIN MEETS CHINA’S XI IN MOSCOW PRIOR TO G20

Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Putin met for two days in Moscow, just before the G20. This was done to compare the notes and so that both countries would present a unified position at the G20 summit. See more here: Xi Jinping meets Putin in Moscow and Giant Putin in Italy cornfield.

As I previously noted, the relationship between the two has been the closest it has ever been. Moreover, by his actions, Trump has been pushing China closer and closer towards Russia. Admittedly, not only China. This concerns even traditionally US-vassal countries such as Japan and S. Korea.

Let’s calibrate the Putin-Xi meeting in Moscow prior to G20:

QC 280 (friendliness/neutrality), CHI 290 – same.

This is very good and considering the shifting times we are in, rather productive. So much higher than any other international events we’ve calibrated! Lately we hardly see this kind of calibration in international relations. The positions were successfully coordinated and a number of major trade deals were signed.

TRUMP’S FAUX PAS IN POLAND

Meantime, before G20 Trump chose to go to Poland. It’s understandable. Poland was the only EU country that met Trump with some sort of admiration — something Trump has been looking for and couldn’t find in the EU. Of course, there was that awkward moment when Poland’s first lady ignored (didn’t notice?) Trump’s extended hand and went straight past him to first greet Melania. And of course, all those Trump-admiring and US-flag-waving Poles were bussed in for the pretty picture…

However, the true reason for Trump’s Poland visit is this. Since Putin was meeting with Xi in Moscow pre-G20, Trump’s Russophobic advisers obliged him to counter that by visiting the most Russophobic country in existence – Poland.

Trump’s trip to Poland: QC 90 (grief); CHI 181 (pride)

Poland, with its unfulfilled imperial ambitions, has been doing everything to grow exponentially the animosity between Russia and EU. Poland secretly was very much behind the 2014 Kiev Maidan and coup. Just like secret CIA jails, the training camps for the Bandera ukro-nazi militants and post-Soviet space opposition activists are located all over Poland. It was Poland’s long-standing aspiration to create a belligerent Russia-hating clone of itself out of Ukraine.

I had been too lenient on Poland for a while, giving them too much of the benefit of the doubt, and rarely talking about Poland’s hideous role. Poland has been known to hide behind the backs of bigger and stronger countries, where they would in the dark, quietly, do their ugly deeds.

They once hid behind UK’s back to quietly sabotage Russian Empire and then early USSR, including the killing of the Soviet ambassador. Then they hid behind Germany/Hitler’s back to invade Czechoslovakia. Later they hid behind USSR’s back to chop of a chunk of Germany. Today they are hiding behind USA’s back, trying to chop off chunks of Ukraine and Belarus, and swallow Lithuania whole.

However, I did warn about Poland at least once. My very mild 2014 prediction that Poland is turning into a bona fide Euro-fascist state, while at the same time trying to resurrect its failed medieval empire by absorbing Ukraine, Lithuania and parts of other countries, met back then with backlash from some Polish shills. Otherwise, it went unnoticed by my readers, probably because no one takes Poland seriously. This mistake had been made before. Hitler was once also not taken seriously.

It is completely hushed up in the West, therefore, very few know this. Several days ago the Russian Duma has considered a proposal to sever all diplomatic ties with Poland, expelling Polish ambassador and recalling Russian ambassador. This proposal has not been given green light yet. However, Polish ambassador has been conveniently absent from Moscow for a while, denoting an all-time low in bi-lateral relations.

You may ask: what’s going on?

At this time Poland is engaged in the wholesale destruction of over 500 monuments to Soviet soldiers who liberated Poland in 1944 from fascism. Over 600,000 Soviet/Russian lives were lost while liberating Poland during WWII. Now they are exhuming the bodies of these soldiers, including Russian POWs killed in Auschwitz, in order to ‘de-communize,’ as they put it. Russians asked for the remains of their people to be given to Russia for proper re-burial in the Russian land, but Poland refused.

Incidentally, did you ever wonder why the two most deadly and gruesome Nazi concentration camps were located on the territory of Poland? I can tell you why: because the energy of Poland was a good match for them.

Are there normal Poles, who disagree with what the government is doing? Undoubtedly. I do follow what’s happening there, and I’ve seen some honest and brave people trying to stand up to injustices. But, much like in the neighboring fascist Ukraine, I’ve seen time and again how these people are jailed, fired and viciously maligned. This is not the topic of this post, so I won’t give examples here.

I’ll just say that Poland, member of the EU and NATO, whose ex-PM is now the president of the EU, has developed into a full-fledged closet Euro-Nazi state. And Germany, EU and the West are simply looking the other way. The reason they don’t notice what’s happening under their very noses in either Ukraine or Poland is that they NEED Poland (as well as Ukraine) as a convenient ram against Russia. This started in medieval times, when the Vatican converted Poland into Catholicism, after which Poland became that notoriously violent ram. Nothing has changed since, and Poles seem to be enjoying this unseemly role.

The truth is that while normal people do exist in Poland, like in Ukraine, they are frightened and suppressed. Meanwhile the history is being re-written and the new generation is taught rabid Russophobia. It pains me to say this, but the majority of Poles are in fact crazed and violently xenophobic, Russia-, Ukraine- and Germany-hating ultra-nationalists.

I won’t go into any more gruesome details. Instead I highly recommend you visit the comment section under my recent post June 22, 1941: Nazi Germany attacked USSR. The ghost of Bandera. Who’ll decide the future of Ukraine. This comment section contains a very good expose of Poland’s true nature and real historic role, written by me and Nemo. This expose will give you a good perspective of the issue.

Back to Trump in Poland: let’s look at the logic of events. So, Trump is planning to meet with Putin for the first time the next day; he plans to establish bridges with Russia; he plans to discuss Russian cooperation is Syria, N. Korea and Ukraine… And knowing the whole background, just before that Trump goes to Poland.

While in Poland, Trump has talked about how much Americans love Poles (he forgot to mention all those American Polish jokes, lol). Trump also lauded Poland on striving for independence from its past, while re-writing its history in the process. Finally, Trump expressed support for Poland trying to get rid of its ‘dependence on Russian gas’ and solemnly promised that US will replace Russia as Polish gas supplier soon. Sure it will: American fracking LNG gas is only about 4 times more expensive than Russian. It’ll be a very profitable deal for Poland indeed.

Did Trump really understand what he’d gotten himself into, was he able to calculate the implications? Most likely, not. And very probably, he had no choice.

Therefore, I am making a very smooth and logical conclusion that the trip to Poland — filled with Russophobic agenda — was orchestrated by Trump’s straitjacket creators (his jailers, in fact) in order to derail the meeting with Putin. And how unfortunate that Trump in fact holds so little true power that he couldn’t get out of it.

Now you see why I said ‘don’t expect too much from the Putin-Trump meeting,’ and why I predicted long ago that the only true cooperation between US and Russia is possible in Syria, and only in small, incremental steps.

Sure, Putin was his usual diplomatic and polite self; he and Lavrov made the best out of Trump meeting at G20. But gestures like visiting Poland before the meeting and promising them ‘liberation from Russian gas’ won’t be forgotten. This is something that will continue being a thorn between Trump and Russia for as long as he is president, unless USA makes visible concessions elsewhere. Where – I’m sure we’ll discuss that eventually.

Sure, in a true Great Balancer fashion, Russia will still make every peaceful attempt to keep the relations with US going and to keep Trump out of harms way. No matter what, Trump is a lot better as US president than any alternative. Russia must continue re-balancing away from the brink of WWIII, to which Obama almost brought the world, and which Hillary would have escalated. Trump and Tillerson understand the need to step away from that brink. This is why Russia will continue talking with them.

But the trip to Poland was an unforgivable faux pas. It effectively derailed any proper cooperation. My prediction is that it will be very hard for Trump to get a true Russian cooperation when he’ll really need it. This has drained the last remaining shreds of Trump’s credibility.

And as I said, the Trump’s straitjacket creators engineered this scenario with this specific purpose in mind. Too bad Trump didn’t have the smarts and foresight to get out of it. After all, he was able to get out of G20 meetings and banquet, didn’t he? Overall, however, his straitjacket seems to be pretty tight.

Ivanka substituting for Trump at the G20 meeting

I am actually curious myself as to the calibration of this event. My immediate reaction is a distaste towards such open nepotism. Don’t get me wrong: I don’t dislike Ivanka; I think she is very good-looking and probably smarter than most of those ‘world leaders.’ Trump also has very few people he can trust and lean on – she is one of them. That said, the way it was styled and executed, the questions and aftertaste remain.

But let’s see what the calibration says!

The result of Ivanka sitting in for Trump: QC and CHI both 80 (grief).

Therefore, it was a very bad idea, on all levels. Obviously, Trump wanted to mock the proceedings, after having been snubbed, as he interpreted it, for the G20 ‘family’ photo. Still a bad idea. Nepotism never works. It reeks of a lack of integrity, and shall we say… desperation. Hence GRIEF as the calibration result.

Lukashenko of Belarus and his nepotism

Is this the sign of the times?

Incidentally, this reminds me of how Lukashenko of Belarus behaved during the recent New Silk Road Summit in Beijing (One Way, One Road Forum). He was invited there due to the fact that the main Silk Road through Russia into Western Europe must go through Belarus, in order to bypass Ukraine.

An interesting detail is that the Silk Road, in order to reach its main target Germany, must after Belarus go through Poland. Not only Poland has been openly hostile towards Russia, and by extension, to China, but Polish representatives were conspicuously missing at the Beijing One Way Forum. As a matter of fact, ALL European leaders were conspicuously missing, except two. The president of Czech Republic, who always openly styles himself as the only Russophile in the EU, and Greek PM Tsipras.

Czechia wants the lucrative New Silk Road to go through its territory, but you still need Poland, or alternatively western Ukraine. Now it’s especially clear why both Ukraine and Poland had to become Russia-hating entities, recreating the Iron Curtain. The southern branch can go through Turkey, Greece and into the Balkans, to connect with Austria and Germany, but it also has obstacles along the way.

Probably thinking himself indispensable for the success of the New Silk Road, the puffed up from pride Lukashenko broke all protocols by bringing with him his teenage son, whom he kept by his side at all times during meetings with other world leaders. He placed his son in the Beijing summit ‘family’ photo, next to over 20 world leaders.

Lukashenko placing his son in the midst of the world leaders calibrates at: QC 40 (guilt), CHI 8 (near death).

Generally, Lukashenko has completely lost any semblance of perspective and any sense of reality. I hate to predict it, but he is putting his poor son in danger by displaying such nepotism and openly pushing him into the limelight, as if grooming him for the next ‘tsar of Belarus.’ Again, hate to predict this, but due to his crazy behavior, Lukashenko’s days at the helm are numbered. He may be allowed to quietly retire, but that’s about it. Give him 2-3 years tops. Could be less. Russia in very interested in a peaceful transition of power in Belarus, so everything will be done so there is no violence.

PUTIN AND NEPOTISM

And here is a clear contrast for you: this is how Putin feels about nepotism. First, let me just say that Putin, by all polls and measures is consistently recognized as the most powerful world leader. Not only Belarus’s Lukashenko, but even Donald Trump isn’t in the same leagues.

When asked, Putin said that he never wanted his daughters and grandsons to grow up as princes and princesses. It was important that they had privacy and developed away from the limelight as their own people, true to their own path.

Calibrating Putin’s position on this: QC 481 (humanity and compassion) CHI 290 (neutrality/friendliness).

Very wise, and almost off-the-charts high calibration. That’s the real world leader for you.

In it we discussed the St. Petersburg bombing, how it’s linked to the preceding ‘anti-corruption’ protests in Russia and Belarus, Dmitry Medvedev, Lukashenko’s blunders, and Putin-Lukashenko meeting in St. Pete.

Today, FT contributor Nemo (Stanislav Sokolov) is offering us a very telling glimpse into what was happening in Russia during the ’90s, before Putin came to power. This is a must know in order to put contemporary events into proper perspective.

Tomorrow’ I’ll offer you a third article of this cycle, in which I’ll tell you more about Russian anti-corruption protests and the truth behind them!

Dear Lada,

After the events in Moscow, when kids were abused by the “opposition” and the overall anti-Russian/anti-Putin rhetoric, I got angry – it hit too close to home. I published now a new article: The ”Wild 90s” in Russia, as reflected in people’s memory. Part 2.
http://stanislavs.org/the-wild-90s-in-russia-as-reflected-in-peoples-memory-part-2/

Which is part my take on the events, part my own recollection from the 90s, and part translations of people’s testimonials. You are welcome to use the materials in it if you are going to write an article about the recent unrest in Belorussia and Russia.

All the best,

Stanislav

With his kind permission, I am offering you Stanislav Sokolov’s article about Russia’s Wild ’90s, and how Vladimir Putin changed that!

Two years ago I published an article The ”Wild 90s” in Russia, as reflected in people’s memory, where I translated one testimonial of a survivor of the Yeltsin’s Wild 90’s in Russia. Such survivors are many, yet many more perished – in Russia more people died during Yeltsin than during WWII. In that article I also detailed Yeltsin’s coup d’etat of November 1993.

Now, a few days ago, the ignominious Navalny organised an “anti-corruption” rally in Moscow and several of Russia’s cities. I am not going to go into the details of how only 8000 people out of the 12 million population of Moscow was seen at this colour revolution attempt. I will not go into details of how Navalny turned to the political paedophilia, luring school-aged kids onto the streets with the promise of paying them €10000 if they manage to get arrested, and how the “political speeches” of said kids said that they want to buy sneakers. The use of kids seems to be in the instruction book of any colour revolt worth its name (see “protests” against Charles de Gaulle). I will not go into the details of how Navalny – a jobless man – manages to own expensive car, finance organisation of revolts and produce Hollywood-class films, and why this corruption fighter has several criminal corruption cases over him regarding illegal forest deals.

What I want to go into detail about, is the main chant of Navalny and co., of all the anti-Russian, Russophobic traitors organising such revolts: “Putin must go”. That’s all of their agenda. They say absolutely nothing about how Russia should be governed or about the future. At best they position themselves as the next presidents and say a few abstract words about how there’ll be no corruption and everyone will be equal. Aha! The same manifestos were proclaimed in 1917. And in 1991.

And this is what I am coming towards. All the Navalny-class “liberals” are aiming to bring Russia to the condition of the Yeltsin’s 1993-1999 era. The Desolation of Yeltsin as I like to call it, referring to the Desolation of Smaug.

By 1999 the “progress and democracy” in Russia reached such levels that the population was dying out from hunger, military and statehood all but destroyed. Foreign NATO-sponsored Islamic insurgency in Chechenia was at its peak. Here is a link to an article from Lenta.ru from 29.09.1999 with the telling title “Russia begs USA for a little more food”. Sad and detrimental, yet it fully reflects the reality of those days.

My family and I were touched by those events before we emigrated in 1993. I remember well how I had to stand at the entrance to a market, selling toys, books, plastic bags (yes, the Western plastic bags, if you could get your hands on them, were worth a few kopeks), various small items from home – anything, just to get some money so as to buy food and set something aside for the vague plans for the future. We were a middle-class family, my grandfather forked in the 50s at the Far East, where the Soviet government paid the so-called “Northern money”, so were well-off, until 1992, when the whole country and its population got robbed over night. By the likes of Berezovskij, Yeltsin, Kuchma, Nemtsov, Khodorkovskij, Navalny, Kudrin, Yavlinskij and other “communists” cum “oligarchs” and “democrats”.

The upper right corner in the image below illustrates what it was like from my point of view, selling your last things.

Do you remember the 90s? All of the “civilised West” are our friends, while USA is the best pal.

Below I want to translate testimonials from several people of that time, as they recall it now, warning the youth of today not to repeat the same naïve mistake as the one that brought chaos on their own heads.

The first collection of testimonials starts as an open, public domain letter, titled “Anyone, who remembers well what happened in the 90s, should be grateful to this man…”, and it originally appeared at LiveJournal here.

I turned 17 in 1991.

All the trash that is now criticizing Putin was in power back then.

I don’t remember anything good of what they did. I remember how they destroyed my country, I remember how people were not paid wages for years, how a professor of nuclear physics worked with me and cleaned animal skins with a scythe, how my mother, having worked for 23 years as a head nurse of the paediatric intensive care unit and revived many a dozen children, became a “shuttle trader”. (Translator note for the Westerners: people went to China or West and bought some cheap goods, smuggled them and tried to make a living reselling)

I remember the gangs of bastards, collecting tributes, even from old ladies selling sunflower seeds. (Translator note: market gangs, the utmost dregs of society. Berezovskij came from that “environments”.) I remember how kidnapping for ransom in my city of Nalchik was turned into an industry, and how the filth that did that was considered respectable people.

I remember how happily Americans were let into the most secret military facilities, how for their sake aircraft, missiles, submarines and other achievements of my homeland were cut to pieces.

I remember the poor old people begging. I remember the downtrodden Afghan war veterans, who were mutilated in battles, served the orders of their Motherland, are now spat upon by today’s “liberasts” (Translator note: common in today’s Russia folk by-name, combining the words for “liberal” and “homosexual”).

Shall I continue???

I also remember how, two weeks after Putin came to power, the kidnappings stopped. I remember how the Chechens, whom I personally always respected, from the enemies of Russia were reborn into her faithful warriors.

I see how my country began again to build gas pipelines, aircraft, ships and so on. I see how my sons, like I in my childhood, become proud of their country. Everything is relative.

Hence is the question: How can “liberasts”, who sold their Homeland, have the audaciousness to blather all sorts of nonsense about Putin? What have they left after themselves to him, to bark that “Putin ruined” something?

It is, first and foremost, their fault in what is going on in Ukraine today, it is they, who have created this situation in 1991. Nemtsov and his ilk… there must be no monuments to them, least of all in the centre of Moscow. (Translator note: “Liberals” push for that after the Western sacrificial murder of Nemtsov in Moscow). They need to be burned and the ashes scattered to the wind.

Appeal to the young people: do NOT believe the “liberatst”, don’t look up at the “stars” (what a retarded term), like Ksenia Sobchak, do not take the example from prostitutes and bastards. They are all lying.

We are the greatest country in the world. Ask how many achievements ranging from military exploits and to science, sports, and everything else, belongs to our compatriots.

Do not let those, whom we taught to wash, teach us culture. (Translator note to the Westerners: Russian Anna Yaroslavna (born in 1024), when she became the Queen of France, brought with her the tradition of frequent washing – banja, which is common in Russia, yet was viewed as strange in the then W.Europe., as well as introducing at the French Court the custom of eating with silverware, of reading, and many other civilisational traits.)

Don’t let those who begot fascism, the Inquisition, and other atrocities, teach us the love of mankind. Those who marry perverts in the Churches, teach us human values.

We are Russia, and our path is different from theirs.”

Comments from the post with additional testimonials:

Tatiana Potapova: “I, too, remember the gangs of bastards who held the markets in fear. Snickering masters of life. And I also remember homeless children, lousy, dirty, hungry, who raided the trading rows of the markets and would grab from the shelves anything edible. I pushed food into their hands. There were so many of them! The officials were not interested in their fate. Where they lived? If they had parents? Nobody picked them off the streets and into boarding schools for approximately ten years. Since Putin came to power, children were rounded up and sent to the boarding schools. Now, those officials who ruthlessly robbed the people and as a result small children ended up on the street, hungry, unwashed, not having seen any kindergartens or schools… now these officials hate Putin and call him a thief… They project their sin onto Putin. Probably because they can get neither sleep nor rest.”

Olga Malinova: “I remember the 90s. My brother and I wanted to eat one day, went to the kitchen, found only the millet and vegetable oil. We pulled our last few rubles, and spent them on a loaf of bread.”

Valery Vishnyakov: “We borrowed money from the neighbours for a half of a black bread. And our father was an oil industry worker. He was just not paid the money. I used to give my food to the younger brother. Parents still do not know about that… Give us back Stalin. The iron curtain. The Soviet Union…”

Liliya Karimova: “I Remember how bad it was. I went to the post office for aid money, but the money were not transferred for more than six months. Used to come home crying not knowing what to cook, it was good that the collective farm gave grain that we would bring to the mill – at least we got bread, and had our own cow, otherwise I would have died of hunger. Writing this now and crying.”

Maria Glova: “I was unable to go after the school to Institute, as parents – doctors – had their wages delayed and they were afraid that I would not be able to find food in another city. In those days we lived off the garden, planted potatoes, ploughed field 5 days in a week and spent 2 days in the garden.”

Eketerina Yasakova: “And I remember only too well the 90s. Terrible years. My children then were just toddlers”

The second testimonial article is titled “The answer to those, who say they live badly in Putin’s Russia”. This material is much more down to earth, gritty and grim, like the years it describes.

Subtext: “How I was surviving in the ’90s, in Russia without Putin”

A young man in his 20s wrote to me from his iPhone from Russia about how his life sucks “under Putin”. I briefly described to him how I lived without Putin in the late 90s.

I will write this again, maybe it will come in handy to someone from Ukraine.

Morning.

Woke up, thank God that I’m alive. Had breakfast, tea with jam from my grandmother. That’s all the food. There is nothing more to eat.

Later in the morning.

There is no work, the factory was bankrupted by Nemtsovs-Kasyanov and other f*ing privatizers, nothing to do… But the tea, even with jam is not food. It is necessary to find food. Mobiles did not yet exist, so I go to a friend who is in the same position, but worse, because he has a wife and a son. What are we going to do, where to look for food? Decided to go fishing.

Morning, closer to dinner.

Threw in the net from a boat probably constructed during Lenin’s time. Waited. While waiting, caught some frogs, made a campfire, roasted frog legs, ate them. Wanted to smoke, but have no money… walked down the street, collecting the “butts”, nearby others like us harvested, started swearing at us, saying that’s not our territory. We calm them down. Will not go into details of how… you survive however you can.

Dinner.

Rummaged through all of the waste dumps already, not a single thread of metal left. (Translator’s note: People scavenged any metal and sold it to collectors. Pipes, machinery, anything got melted. The same process is going in Ukraine now. If anyone wants a glorified fictitious parallel, think Rey from Star Wars, The Force Awakens.) Telling my friend – let’s go to the village nearby. We went. Knocked at the first house. Explained why we came to a grandmother, age 80. We collect metal, if you have any, we can help to dig up the garden lot as the payment of it… Grandmother asked to plough up 3 acres, flooded in the spring. We did that. Plus I, as a radio hobbyist, repaired antenna on her TV. She gave us 8 kilogrammes of aluminium pans, and even money!!!

After dinner.

For the money we immediately bought a pack of cigarettes and 2 Snickers. We ate the Snickers right away, to at least have some strength, had a smoke and went to deliver metal to the collectors. Delivered, got a few kopecks… But at least that’s something. Went to the nets.

Afternoon snack time.

Came to nets, and there see some blokes pulling them out and taking our fish. Without hesitation, we beat them up very very seriously, although we knew that they are in the same situation as us. But to steal at the time of hunger from your own people is worse than being a liberal! Took out fish and went home.

Evening.

Gave part of the fish to the wives, carried the other part to the market. Sold for a penny, but at least that’s something. Bought pasta and sugar. Brought that home. Bought for the remaining money 0.5l of homebrew from a local hag.

Late in the evening.

Sitting at the porch, drinking, smoking and looking to a brighter future. A radio of Chinese make says: An unknown to anyone Vladimir Putin may possibly become a temporary figure after the ailing Boris Yeltsin…

So, young people of 20-30 years. If your life is shitty in Russia, under Putin, look at Ukraine now, or at my personal experience of survival in the ’90s. Although, all the same, you’ll learn nothing.

Sincerely, Pavel Smirnov.

Putin’s promise in 2000: “I shall be with the Army, I shall be with the Fleet, I shall be with the people. And together we shall rebuild the Army, the Fleet and the Country.” And he didn’t lie. Thank you, Vladimir Vladimirovich.

25th Anniversary of Destruction: USSR Breakup and its Fallout

ussr-breakup-yeltsin

Today, December 8, 2016, the world marks 25th anniversary of the event the vast majority of the Russian World considers a tragic date. On December 8, 1991 leaders of three Slavic Soviet Republics, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, called the Three Sisters, signed the infamous Belovezhskaya Pushcha Accords, which effectively dissolved the USSR, establishing instead the still-born Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The accords sanctified what Putin later called ‘the largest humanitarian catastrophe of the second half of the 20th century.’

The internet, Russian and post-Soviet media have been flooded with various videos and articles, which explain and judge, from their point of view, the events of that day. Many still try to come to terms and understand what happened; many have condemned this day and those who signed the breakup: Russian SSR head Boris Yeltsin, Ukrainian SSR head Shevchuk and Belorussian SSR head Shushkevich.

Between December 7 and 8, 1991, the host of the secret event, Shushkevich, received the other two at his Belovezhskaya Pushcha hunting residence. The gathering and the document signed were so hush-hush that to type up the text of the breakup agreement the trio needed to bring in a typist from the nearby village, along with her typing machine.

Shushkevich later recalled that as soon as the three shook hands, Yeltsin called the US President George Bush. He reported (!): ‘We did it. The USSR is dead.’ But none of the three called legal head of the Soviet Union, President Gorbachev.

Doing its job, Belorussian KGB found out about what amounted to treason, and reported the situation to Moscow. Gorbachev told them to await his command and do nothing. The command to arrest the conspirators never arrived. Four days later, Gorbachev resigned his post as the first and only president of the USSR.

How different the fates of the three signatories of the USSR breakup have been!

Yeltsin is no longer living; in 1999, he publicly apologized to the Russian people for everything he’d done and named Putin as his successor.

Kravchuk, using his position as the first president of Ukraine, managed to steal many millions, but nothing like today’s oligarchs. The ex-leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine, he betrayed his party and his people and turned into a prime Russophobe, creating, with Soros financing, the first version of falsified Ukrainian history – but again, nothing like today’s Kiev junta. Kravchuk continues living very comfortably in today’s ukro-nazi version of Ukraine, which he supports.

Shushkevich still lives in Belarus, hated by his country’s citizens and afraid to show up in public. Belarus President Lukashenko personally authorized the pension for Shushkevich, as ex-president of Belarus, in the amount of… $1.

The condemnation and demands for trial have been leveled against the three Belovezhskaya Pushcha signatories. The accusations of treason are also leveled against then president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev. Gorbachev has been the darling of the West, rewarded many times over for his role in the USSR breakup and many disastrous for Russia political decisions. Hated by many Russians, today, he spends his time justifying his actions in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

My readership is mainly English-speaking and very international, and I love it this way! Most of my readers live in North America and generally in the West, although much of the world is represented. So, the question becomes, why should something that happened 25 years ago in the now defunct USSR be interesting to an average person, when there are crucial events happening in the US and EU as we speak: Trump election, vote recounts, Hillary scandals and the uncertainty of the Electoral College vote on December 17; various anti-EU forces may come to power in Italy and the Netherlands, Brexit may have a continuation in Italexit and more…

Considering this, why would any of my readers be interested in ‘ancient’ history? Why would anyone, apart from historians, be looking back?

Very simple: what happened in the USSR in the late 1980s-early 1990s – in other words, Russia’s past – is in fact the West’s future.

trump-yeltsin-etc

Smart people learn from the past? They learn from others’ mistakes so to avoid making their own? Yes, this is true. When you have control over your future… However, there are things in this world that are set in stone. Call it karma or destiny – the two esoteric, spiritual notions that always go hand in hand. Many are afraid of such words, believing only that which they can touch and see.

But here, on FuturisTrendcast and on LadaRay.com, we go well beyond the obvious. This is the basis for Lada Ray’s Spiritual Geopolitics and Multidimensional Universe theory. And this is how I predict the future.

I want to tell you that I agree and disagree with much of what Russian and post-Soviet analysts say about the breakup and the ’90s. I understand very well the emotional response and the desire to go back to those times, to the inviting, albeit maligned in the West, country, now remembered by many with nostalgia and longing.

However, my view is multidimensional and original. You won’t be surprised that it goes well beyond what others tell you. I’ll share my view on what really happened in the USSR in 1991, why it was pre-destined and how it is connected to today’s Earth Shift and the slow collapse of the US and EU, in the upcoming live webinars.

PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT!

Due to the fact that I foresee many important changes happening in the West and worldwide in the next 3-5 years and beyond, in 2017 I am preparing some very important Lada Ray Webinars. During these live events I’ll spell out in detail what I foresee. I’ll also talk about how the USSR and Western collapses are different, and why so many gurus have been wrong about the timing, nature and details of the US and dollar collapse. Will Trump be able to prevent the collapse, and much more will be discussed.

Please stay tuned for official announcements about my webinars, to be posted in January 2017!

To mark this black calendar date, as they’d say in Russia, I’m posting excerpts from ESR2 and ESR3.

25th Anniversary of Destruction: USSR Breakup and its Fallout

EXCERPT 1 (ESR3) published in April, 2015

For Russia, Ukraine isn’t a far away, god forsaken land that could be thrown out and forgotten after it has been used up. It is something that is very close and important indeed. US understood that, and that was the reason they latched on to Ukraine.

Certainly, US wanted revenge for Snowden and Syria, as well as for other fiascos, such as the Georgia war and failed Iran invasion, prevented by Russia in 2008. It is also a preemptive strike against Russia and China developing the BRICS and shifting away from the dollar. Most importantly, it is the strike against the new Eurasian Union, launched on January 1, 2015, now joined by Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia, with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan slanted to join soon. Despite the fact that all these countries, apart from Russia, have small economies, it is the Eurasian space that counts. Remember: “He who controls Eurasia, controls the world,” per Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Russians never made any secret of the fact that without Ukraine there can be no fully functioning Eurasian Union. Ukraine had a standing invitation to join. US had to do everything to prevent Ukraine from joining. This was the most important reason for the 2014 euro-maidan and subsequent violent Kiev coup.

USSR BREAKUP AND ITS FALLOUT

Russians also never made any secret of their firm belief that the Russian people are the biggest divided ethnicity on our planet as a result of the 1991 split up of the USSR. The split-up is widely acknowledged to be an illegal handshake agreement between Yeltsin and the two ‘leaders’ of Belarus and Ukraine. Most others, except the Baltics, which seceded before that, just followed suit.

After the hand-shake split up of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in 1991, the initial idea was to re-create the Commonwealth of the Independent States where the republics would be able to interact and continue enjoying the same economic, cultural and political relationships as before, but voluntarily and without being obligated to do so. This was extremely naïve. In reality, once you destroy something – expect external interests and personal ambitions of local powers that be to move into the void left behind. Western interests were in immediately. Local politicians and the newly born class of oligarchs finally felt free from centralized oversight that kept them in check. Together these forces began the process of trying to separate from the “Mother Russia.” The reason for that is very easy to understand: for those who crave power at any cost, and who don’t care for the well-being of their people and country, it is better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond.

Myths were invented, as we are seeing now in Ukraine, that they were separate, and never even close to Russia in any shape or form. But that wasn’t enough, since the influence and pull of the Russian and Soviet culture continued being overwhelming.

For the many people living on the territory of these republics, and not just Russians, Belorussians and Ukrainians, but also members of other ethnicities who didn’t plan to break up, it became an utter shock and something they never made peace with. It became a gaping wound and severe confusion and abandonment issues, together with resentment against Russia, developed out of it. That gaping hole of confusion and resentment, plus severe money shortage as a result of the ‘90s crisis and oligarch privatization was quickly filled by the US/EU/Polish propaganda, Islamic fundamentalism, extreme nationalism, and fascism – depending on the area of the former USSR. This was in fact unavoidable.

Many have been blaming Russia for not taking care to stay in the former republics, at least informationally. But the truth is that Russia really never left the republics informationally. Russian presence remained in cultural form, primarily through TV, radio, movies and papers. Russian TV programming was, and continues being, offered in most former republics, except perhaps the Baltics, and as of 2014, also Ukraine. Even in the Baltics it hasn’t been absent entirely, since those interested could always catch some shows from nearby St. Petersburg.

And we can confidently say that the pull and influence of the Great Russian culture was, and continues being, very strong.

However, Russia, since the ‘90s was fighting demons of her own. And that generated even more confusion for the rest of the republics. All of a sudden the underpinning of their mutual relationship, that thing that united everyone: the common past and common achievements as part of the USSR, the common language  and culture – suddenly all that became a big question mark as Russians themselves questioned their own heritage.

This was the incredibly fertile ground for the blossoming of the extreme and sometimes violent nationalism in each of these territories. Depending on the region, such nationalism would often turn into a violent denial of anything to do with the USSR and Russia. The best known forms of such violent ultra-nationalism are: the ‘mild euro-fascism’ of the Baltics; the ukro-nazis together with the Kiev junta in Ukraine; Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism fed by al-Qaeda and financed by US/UK/Saudis in Chechnya and Northern Caucasus; roaming bands of drug traffickers in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, who seep through porous Afghani borders, covering up their activities with extreme Islam slogans.

Understanding all that, US targeted the vulnerabilities and vices. Confusion, resentment, greed, pride and deep-seated unresolved issues are the weapons the US uses all over the world. Ukraine proved to be an extremely easy target.

Why Ukraine?

After the breakup of the USSR, the majority of Ukrainians had identity confusion, some feeling abandoned by Russia, others angry and violent, yet others trying to find an alternative vision for their country. As the dark forces in the form of oligarchs and various criminals took over, the western Ukraine nazis started a slow crawling invasion. More and more of them were moving into the traditionally Russian speaking and Russian thinking areas, such as Kharkov, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk. Extremist Jewish organization called Chabad moved into Ukraine and started spreading its influence as well.

MSM, NGOs, school history books were changed to reflect the ‘Russia is the invader and enemy of Ukraine’ hoax. Before long, a new generation of Russia-hating Russians and Malorussians (often referred to as Ukrainians) emerged. But even that didn’t convert enough people as still in 2007 the Gallup poll indirectly confirmed that Russian was the native language and first language choice for over 80% of Ukrainians.

Still, the mass pre-programming was quietly sitting, waiting to be activated. This Manchurian Candidate programming was turned on like a switch when the signal was given. The signal was the Kiev euro-maidan and the February 22, 2014 coup. After that, the relatively reasonable Ukrainians quickly turned into Russian-speaking, Russian-culture Russophobes and Russia-bashers.

The shadow CIA chief, George Friedman (Stratfor CEO) has recently openly admitted that pitting different countries against each other with the idea of weakening other countries in order to advance US interests worldwide was the US weapon of choice. The good old divide and conquer.

TRAITORS WANTED! BIG MONEY FOR SELLING OUT YOUR COUNTRY

Next, a new class appeared in these republics. They still cared about being a big fish in a small pond, but even more so, they cared for big, big money – and for something else.

Enter the US. According to Victoria Nuland, Assistant US State Secretary in charge of Eurasia (US State Dept) and well-known neocon, US spent $5bln so subvert Ukraine. She bragged about that during the Washington Press Club meeting in December 2013. The videos of her bragging were initially posted all over YouTube, but soon they disappeared. However, millions managed to see them and spread the word before they vanished.

Note, $5 bln is just the official number! How much was paid quietly, under the table, through slush funds? How much was funneled through NGOs? How much went through the Soros foundation? How much went through Chabad? Who did the US pay these astronomical amounts to? The names aren’t a big secret.

EXCERPT 2 (ESR2) first published in Febr. 2014; expanded and updated in Febr. 2016

Collapse: Post-Soviet Republics vs Russia

To understand the background of the Ukrainian situation and its artificial Russophobia, it’s useful to look at other post-Soviet republics.

During Soviet days, the neighboring Moldova was in mint condition due to constant infusions of resources by the Russian Federation – the same thing that happened in Ukraine and other Soviet republics. Brezhnev in particular had a soft spot for Moldova as he worked there at one point. Originally, Brezhnev was from Ukraine, and he heavily invested in Ukraine as well. Russia promoted local cultures and heavily invested into industrialization of ALL 14 Soviet republics, including in large part the Baltics: Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.  The same ones who love to talk about how “Russians oppressed them.”

After the USSR collapse, Russia withdrew from all former republics to deal with her own problems, and as a result most republics quickly became poor and destitute.

Moldova’s elections are coming up and the country is being torn between the EU and Eurasian Union. While the majority of the population wants to be a part of the Eurasian Union, the elites are dragging the country towards EU and towards absorption by Romania. The amount of anti-Russian propaganda in Moldova is mind-boggling as well. In 1990-1992 Moldova went through today’s Ukraine scenario, on a smaller scale. The result was that the richest, most industrialized and productive part of then Moldavian SSR, Pridnestrovie, seceded. Presently, other parts of Moldova are threatening to secede, especially Gagauzia and the north. (Find more on that in Lada Ray YT Channel videos).

Incidentally, neither Latvia nor Estonia ever existed as separate states. These were territories that passed from Germany and Sweden to Russia as a purchase or based on a peace treaty. I could go much deeper in history, but suffice it to say that it was Lenin, who for the first time gave Latvia and Estonia a status of independent ‘states.’ These ‘states’ only exist thanks to Lenin’s decree. Others, such as Ukraine, only existed as ‘Soviet Socialist Republics’ in the context of the Soviet Union. Lenin was the ‘founding father’ of their respective nations. It’s interesting that instead of adoring Lenin, all these ‘independent and democratic nations’ hate him pretty viciously and destroy his monuments. Just shows the level of reasons and lucidity of these people.

Out of 14 republics (excluding the Russian Federation), only Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, and perhaps also Turkmenistan, managed to preserve their Soviet-built enterprises, making them pay in the new era. Belarus also managed to build and expand on its Soviet heritage, creating the so-called ‘Belorussian miracle.’ Belarus succeeded due to a cozy relationship with Russia, therefore getting gas at heavily discounted prices, making its exports very competitive. The latter three did well enough due to their own huge reserves of oil and gas, previously discovered and industrialized by Russia.

Another location that managed to preserve its Soviet inheritance is the break-away republic of Pridnestrovie (formerly part of Moldavia) – but without any oil or gas.

The rest squandered their Soviet inheritance to various degrees. However, like spoiled brats, some of them blamed Russia for their own mistakes and thievery. The spoiled brats in this case are Georgia, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine. These are all former republics that look to the West. When the USSR fell apart they lost Russia as that ‘parent’ that took care of them, oftentimes spoiling them by giving them more than leaving for herself. Now brats want to latch onto the next ‘surrogate parent’ – EU. The goal is to take, giving little in return. However, the West doesn’t work that way. They won’t give anything for free, in fact they like to take more than they give. Meanwhile, Russia also learned her lesson and doesn’t want to squander her resources for nothing any more.

Thus, the countries that are used to latching on to someone stronger are left in the cold. This breeds irrational hatred that can be maliciously manipulated.

Here is a crucial point to understand about Russia! Unlike the Western empires, such as UK, US, Spain and France, who looted and drained resources of those countries they conquered, Russia drained herself to give to her satellites. Such imbalance had to end badly: on Russia’s side, due to the resentment of the core Russian population; on the side of the republics, due to their sense of absolute entitlement.

As a result, in the 1990s – 2000s, a very strange situation developed, when Russia still supplied Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova with gas, based on the heavily subsidized Soviet-entitlement-style prices, and in return, Russia got bashing, backstabbing and direct provocations from said republics. At the very same time, large parts, if not most populations of these republics spoke Russian and lived off Russian tourism and banking.

A great example of this is the Baltics: Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The same three Baltic republics, plus Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia, while displaying animosity and openly threatening Russia with NATO expansion, happily continued exporting massive amounts of their products to Russia. This ended recently when Russia adopted a new import policy and embargo.

Subsidizing all these republics was all fine and good while USSR was doing well, but since it took away the resources from Russia proper and gave them disproportionately to the periphery, discontent grew in Russia just before and during the USSR collapse. This generated a desire to be separate from the former ethnic republics in Russia proper, which didn’t help with the general relationship with said republics. Russia eventually recovered and started doing on average better than during Soviet times, thus proving that Russian resources had been indeed drained by the periphery subsidies.

But at the same time that Russia withdrew from the republics, US advisors, Soros, NGOs and NWO neocon/neoliberal influences moved in. Presently, we are observing the disastrous results of Russia’s withdrawal from the geopolitically important territories.

However, eventually the pull of Russia, affinity with her culture and worldview, combined with the economic benefits of working in Russia, proved to be so enormous that before long, massive numbers of immigrants from former Soviet republics flooded Russian cities and countryside.

The ignorant president of the USA, Obama, in a speech designed to calm down the Baltics (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania), recently stated that Russia is so bad that no one wants to live there.

In reality, Russia is #2 country in the world for immigration after USA. At this rate, it will become #1 pretty soon. Massive numbers of residents of various post-Soviet republics work in Russia as guest workers. This especially concerns Ukraine (5.5mln Ukrainians out of arguably 39 million population: 45mln minus 2mln in Crimea and 4 mln in DNR and LNR) and Moldova (700,000+ out of 3.6 mln population). Kyrgyzstan and Armenia numbers are even higher as 1/2 of the population or more work in Russia. Large numbers immigrate from Georgia, Korea, and Central Asia. There are over 3 million Chinese immigrants in Russia. There is growing immigration from the West as well.

Meanwhile, up to 1/2 of the population of the Baltics immigrated to the West. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are empty.

Western Propaganda in Ukraine; how Hatred Was Ignited and Maintained

The Western style propaganda war was unleashed in the oligarch and Western NGO-controlled Ukrainian media throughout the 1990s and 2000s. It has culminated between 2004 Orange Revolution and now. Soros-sponsored history books rewrote the entire history of Ukraine to prove that Ukrainians were completely separate from Russians. Western-trained journalists and Western-sponsored newspapers and TV have been promoting “western values’ and bashing anything Russian for over 20 years.

Most journalists from Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries were trained in Poland. Poland acted, and still does, as the massive training camp for anti-Russian media, opposition politicians and color revolutionary training (meaning how to throw Molotov cocktails more effectively and how to set buildings on fire). Trainers in these training seminars and camps are almost exclusively American, Canadian or British. Russian TV did some stories on these secret seminars held oftentimes in an inconspicuous Polish neighborhood. They obtained the lists of instructors with clearly English-sounding names. When they tried to film the inside through the window or glass door, the curtains would be drawn immediately or the door barricaded – all that caught on film.

As some of you may recall, just recently Poland was also implicated in the secret CIA prison and illegal torture scandal. CIA kidnapped people by thousands and shipped them to Polish secret prisons, where US torture laws didn’t apply, in violation, I might add, of the EU laws.

As a result of this massive subversion of Ukraine, the old spites have been brought out of the woodwork and spun in the media to suit agendas alien to simple Ukrainians. Most of these spites belonged to the western-Ukraine nazis, humiliated as a result of their defeat in WWII together with Hitler; others were the old spites of Poland or Lithuania whose past imperial ambitions were defeated more than once by Russia. These irrelevant spites were imposed on the rest of Ukraine.

It is clear that $5 billion Victoria Nuland was bragging about that US spent ‘to subvert Ukraine,’ wasn’t all they spent over the years. They had to pay off the sell-out journalists, fiction ‘history’ book creators, politicians, and let’s not forget the equipping, training and financing the ukro-nazis from western Ukraine.

The West also had to feed the greediest of them all: Ukraine oligarchs who have been controlling and strangling the poor Ukraine since 1991. Poroshenko – real name Valtsman – is one of them. Valtsman Sr., the father of the Ukraine president, was an underground millionaire and crook from Odessa, who served several years in jail for stealing goods by the trainload during Soviet times. Greed runs in the family.

Incidentally, Ukraine’s president Poroshenko is one of the oligarchs controlling the media. He famously said that he would never sell the Channel 5 he owns. Here is the fact he doesn’t even try to hide: through his Channel 5 he had been influencing the public opinion during the 2004 Orange Revolution, throughout the 2014 Maidan and subsequent presidential election. So do a handful of other oligarchs controlling the country.

The scale of the lies of the Ukraine media can only be compared to the German Nazi propaganda. Some believe they have gone much further. As much as the Western MSM propaganda is mind-boggling, Ukraine today takes the cake. Russians are constantly accused of invasion, despite the fact that to this day, not a shred of evidence, nor a single picture, footage, or any other conclusive document has been presented. Ukraine MSM routinely lies, showing the Donbass self-defense, consisting of local citizens and volunteers from other countries, including Serbia, France and Spain, and calling it Russian troops. Kiev MSM routinely lies that the Donbass self-defense has shot at local citizens (their own families, in other words) and blew up their own houses. With that, the footage shown would be that of the destruction caused by the Ukraine army shelling. According to the Kiev media, the mass graves found in Donbass occurred because those people killed themselves with their hands tied behind their backs, then neatly dug out graves and buried themselves. Why hasn’t Himmler thought of this! Yeah, I forgot, Himmler was a bit smarter than that.

Meanwhile, Ukraine army openly hired well-paid mercenaries, including those from Poland, Georgia, Romania, Sweden, and other Western countries. Some of these mercenaries bombed innocent civilians in Donbass. Per reports, various US advisors still work by thousands in Ukraine.

At the same time, Ukrainians started officially referring to Russians as ‘Moskali’ – derogatory ‘from Moscow.’ By that logic, citizens of Siberia are also from Moscow. This is a direct attempt to incite hatred. This is also done to diminish anyone who is Russian – after all, Moscow is rather small compared to the entire Russian territory.

Despite ban, Belarus Team Clandestinely Carries Russian flag into Rio Paralympics

9/11/16: NEW FACTS EMERGE! READ ON FOR THOSE & FOR ADDED LADA RAY INSIGHT!

It’s the ‘Belorussian conspiracy,’ as the West immediately touted it! But even if banned for their act of defiance, Belorussain athletes have already won something that no money can buy: they won the admiration of their country and they won the hearts of Russians for their bravery! And isn’t it what the TRUE spirit of Olympics supposed to be about? Too bad the TRUE spirit of sport is conspicuously absent from #Rio2016 Olympics and Paralympics.

It’s one of the most inspiring moments I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks to FuturisTrendcast contributor Nemo-Stanislav @ Stanislavs.org for this image!

Paralympic whistleblowers reported that president of Paralympic Committee, a British national and first-rate Russophobe Lord Craven (and note how well his name depicts his essence!), admitted that the overriding goal of banning Russian Paralympians was that ‘Russian flag would not fly at Rio Paralympics.’ Craven also remarked that if IOC was unable to ban entire Russian team, he was determined to finish the job.

In other words, like in the old fable about a wolf  preparing to eat an innocent lamb, the only fault of Russian Paralympians was that the wolf was hungry.

Surely, there is a very good reason for any Russophobe to be afraid of the Russian flag flying at Paralympics: Russian para-athletes rose to the top very quickly and won hands down both London and Sochi Paralympics. If Russian team isn’t there, then US and UK teams are on top and medals for them become easy pickings. But as I asked before, how much are such cheat-medals worth without top para-athletes competing?

Of course, this is just a cherry on top. The real reason for banning Russian team is to destabilize Russian society by creating an element of discontent (along with other elements of discontent through sanctions, ruble and oil price drop, etc.). The ultimate goal is to hurt United Russia’s chances of winning September 18 Duma elections, thus weakening Putin’s support just over one year before Russian Presidential Elections of 2018.

But so far previous plans of the US/UK/West have backfired. So did this one.

In the absence of Russia at Rio Paralympics the Belarus team has picked up the torch, so to speak, and carried Russian flag at the opening ceremony.

Oops, so much for the ‘Russian flag not flying at Rio Paralympics.’

Way to go, BelaRUS!

russian-flag-at-rio-paralympics-carried-by-belarus

ADDED: I just learned from Life.ru that Belarus Paralympians advised in advance the Belorussian President Lukashenko of their intention to bring Russian flag to the Opening Ceremony of the Rio Games, despite direct ban of Paralympic Committee. Lukashenko reportedly supported the idea: ‘If they decide to punish us, we are ready. We won’t sell out our brothers (Russians),’ said Lukashenko. The Russian flag was brought into the opening ceremony in secret by Andrey Fomochkin on his body. He unveiled the flag when Belarus team entered the Rio stadium. Belorussian papers touted Fomochkin’s act as a real man’s deed.

Newest info: Paralympic Committee confiscated Russian flag and began investigation into the incident. It already punished the Athletic Director of Belarus team Andrey Fomochkin, denying his Rio accreditation.

However, both Andrey Fomochkin and Belorussian Paralympians won something already, which no money or status can buy: they won the hearts of Russians. Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Fomochkin a hero. Belarus government spokesman said that the country was 100% behind its athletes. There is no proof of any wrongdoing by Russian para-athletes, he added.

Meanwhile Russia is preparing a number of lawsuits and personal damages legal actions in European courts against Paralympic Committee, WADA, USADA, Lord Craven and McLaren. Russia also repeatedly said that Paralympics and WADA took the wrong turn and that they need to be reformed.

ADDED! More new details emerge: Andrey Fomochkin was only able to carry the Russian flag for 1/4 of the Rio stadium when it was taken away from him and he was banned on the spot. Too late: it was enough for a ton of pics to get taken and to flood the net! Later, one more Belarus team member’s accreditation was taken away. So far most of the team is still there, but the members brace themselves for more sanctions!

This is why I have said all along: ONLY the alternative competition and alternative games, such as Eurasian or Friendship Games will solve the problem. Or resurrect the once mega-successful Good Will Games!

But again, I must stress that the pressure on Russia will continue until after the 18th – the date of the Duma elections (see below re. my upcoming Russian Elections Earth Shift Report!).

More pics of the Russian flag carried during opening ceremony by Belarus team:

Another inspiring moment: earlier during Rio Olympics Russian and Ukrainian athletes posed and embraced together to demonstrate their friendship and solidarity. For that Ukraine athletes were threatened by their government officials upon return home. More about that in: Earth Shift and 4D Hybrid War: #RioOlympics Lessons and Next Moves by Russia.

Excerpts from the newly added piece to Earth Shift Report 1:

Is Putin Part of NWO – BONUS: LUKASHENKO’S BLUFF

Urgent update! BELARUS ELECTION RESULTS:

Belarus just had presidential elections, which were probably the quietest elections the world has seen for the longest time, bypassed for attention by world MSM, as if they didn’t exist. Surprisingly – or not – no one in the West seemed to have noticed how easily and with what stellar result Lukashenko was re-elected. It wasn’t the case in the past.

Belorussian opposition, so trumpeted by the West in the past as being suppressed, this time was practically non-existent. And not because someone was suppressing them – just the opposite. They were allowed to congregate freely. Yet, hardly anyone came and hardly anyone voted for them.

What happened? Wasn’t Lukashenko for years labeled in the West as the last dictator of Europe?
Why such sudden silence?

Lukashenko, that sly fox. He just won his re-election for another five years without a hitch. Moreover, the pro-Western opposition in the country is the weakest it has been for the past 25+ years. Why, you ask?

Very simple. The sly fox Lukashenko has skillfully capitalized on the differences between EU, Ukraine, US and Russia to prop up his regime and his country. First of, I don’t blame him; this is what any smart leader would do. Second, do you hear Russia complaining?

Well, to be precise, Russia doesn’t complain, apart from the ‘little misunderstanding’ last year when Belarus suddenly became the Smuggling Central of the banned European foods and sanctioned products to Russia. They would slap Belorussian labels on these items and re-export them as if they were produced in Belarus. More about that below.

This is free market for you – that’s how it works: they saw an opening and they went for it.

Usually in the past, term-after-term re-election of Lukashenko, who is holding on to power for dear life, had been accompanied with Western-sponsored opposition riots and anti-Belarus sanctions. A few years ago the ‘protesters’ tried to start a Ukraine-like maidan in Minsk; they broke the glass doors and tried to storm the parliament building. Scores were arrested, including heads of the openly financed by the West Belarus opposition and some violent thugs from Ukraine and Baltics. After that a vicious anti-Lukashenko campaign started in Western MSM. This time – silence.

Here are the main reasons for such stellar and smooth re-election.

This is the time for Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and others to lay low and pretend. Everyone does it the way they can. Last year, Russia advised all these former republics that Ukraine-like scenario was coming and color revolution attempts would occur. Armenia went through an attempted maidan based on electricity rate hikes, and it was successfully stopped.

Maidan attempts continue in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, where a virtual war rages on the border (More in ESR 5: Syria Game Changer).

Kazakhstan addressed the problem in its own way. As we’ve seen above, they had early presidential elections, which the West didn’t have the time to prepare for. Nuland didn’t have the opportunity to organize a violent maidan there. I am sure one was being prepared for next year, but Nazarbayev preempted it by the unexpected snap elections.

This leaves Belarus, the western-most of all and most exposed by virtue of porous borders with Ukraine and Poland.

(……)
I was asked: if Lukashenko is such an ally of Russia, why did he refuse to host a proposed Russian military base?

(…..)

Lukashenko is now capitalizing on the fact that everywhere US/EU are engaged in a conflict, the situation is deteriorating and they have their hands full. The West is stretched to the core in conflicts involving Syria, Ukraine, China and Russia. Lukashenko understands that compared to all these hotspots Belarus is a pussy cat presently to the West, especially if they sit quietly.

Let’s again underscore this very important point:

IT IS THE WEST THAT ALWAYS STARTS CONFLICTS, OR SUPPORTS THEM, ALL OVER THE GLOBE. Other countries are relegated to the role of either being quiet slaves – like much of the world; or defending themselves – like Syria, Belarus, China; or fighting back and fixing them – like Russia, the Great Balancer of the World has to do regularly.

(……)

Before these elections, 200 heavily armed with bats, Molotov cocktails and heavy chains ukro-nazis tried to get in from Ukraine. They were detained on the border and sent back, weapons taken away from them. Various groups tried to stage rallies, which gathered just a few dozen people, most of them Western press, who immediately would zero in on some ‘protester’ throwing a tantrum. The militsia (police) was given order not to come near them, unless they were causing real trouble. By ignoring such public tantrums, police avoided being photographed next to ‘protesters.’ Such photos would undoubtedly be spun later in the West as Lukashenko suppressing the voice of opposition.

The thing is that Belarus opposition is starving.

(…..)

Meanwhile, compared to what is happening in surrounding countries, Lukashenko to his people looks like a veritable Prince of Peace, a messiah incarnate, so to speak.

(…..)

In reality, my article below provides the complete picture of how the BELORUSSIAN MIRACLE WAS REALLY MADE – and it’s not just Belarus leader’s wisdom, although his ability to maneuver and survive in turbulent times cannot be underestimated!

(…..)

Oh, and about the Russian base. First of all, this could have been a targeted info dump by Russia – a message to the EU, if you will. Lukashenko saying no before elections also feels like an orchestrated info dump (do read my comprehensive article on how to tell a hoax from targeted info dump on FuturisTrendcast). In reality, neither Russia, nor Belarus share with the West their real intentions any more. This was shown well by the Kazakhstan snap elections and by Russia’s actions in Crimea and Syria. The element of surprise is the most important element in the current global spread.

I know – we, the peaceful and good people of the world don’t want to hear this. But the truth is this: the West has declared a war against Russia and the Russian world, as well as against China. You don’t openly share your REAL plans in a war.

That’s where Putin’s genius for surprise and brilliant moves comes in.

70th session of UN General Assembly: LIVE UPDATES https://www.rt.com/trends/unga70/

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Putin’s interview to American TV channels CBS and PBSVladimir Putin gave an interview to American journalist Charlie Rose in the run-up to his address at the UN General Assembly’s 70th session.
Transcript:
Full text of the interview will be published on http://en.kremlin.ru September 29.
* * *
CHARLIE ROSE: You will speak to the United Nations in a much-anticipated address on Monday. It will be the first time you have been there in a number of years. What will you say to the UN, to America, to the world?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Since this interview will be aired prior to my speech, I do not think it reasonable to go into much detail about everything I am going to speak about, but, broadly, I will certainly mention some facts from the history of the United Nations. Now I can already tell you that the decision to establish the United Nations was taken in our country at the Yalta Conference. It was in the Soviet Union that this decision was made. The Soviet Union, and Russia as the successor state to the Soviet Union, is a founding member state of the United Nations and a permanent member of its Security Council.
Of course, I will have to say a few words about the present day, about the evolving international situation, about the fact that the United Nations remains the sole universal international organisation designed to maintain global peace. And in this sense it has no alternative today. It is also apparent that it should adapt to the ever-changing world, which we discuss all the time: how it should evolve and at what rate, which components should undergo qualitative changes. Of course, I will have to or rather should use this international platform to explain Russia’s vision of today’s international relations, as well as the future of this organisation and the global community.
CHARLIE ROSE: We are expecting you to speak about the threat of the Islamic State and your presence in Syria that is related to that. What is the purpose of your presence in Syria and how does that relate to the challenge of ISIS?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I believe, I am pretty certain that virtually everyone speaking from the United Nations platform is going to talk about the fight, about the need to fight terrorism, and I cannot avoid this issue, either. This is quite understandable because it is a serious common threat to all of us; it is a common challenge to all of us. Today, terrorism threatens a great number of states, a great number of people – hundreds of thousands, millions of people suffer from its criminal activity. And we all face the task of joining our efforts in the fight against this common evil.
Concerning our, as you put it, presence in Syria, as of today it has taken the form of weapons supplies to the Syrian government, personnel training and humanitarian aid to the Syrian people. We act based on the United Nations Charter, i.e. the fundamental principles of modern international law, according to which this or that type of aid, including military assistance, can and must be provided exclusively to legitimate government of one country or another, upon its consent or request, or upon the decision of the United Nations Security Council. In this particular case, we act based on the request from the Syrian government to provide military and technical assistance, which we deliver under entirely legal international contracts.
CHARLIE ROSE: The Secretary of State John Kerry said that the United States welcomed your assistance in the fight against the Islamic State. Others have taken note of the fact that these are combat planes and manpad systems that are being used against the conventional army, not extremists.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: There is only one regular army there. That is the army of Syrian President al-Assad. And he is confronted with what some of our international partners interpret as an opposition. In reality, al-Assad’s army is fighting against terrorist organisations. You should know better than me about the hearings that have just taken place in the United States Senate, where the military and Pentagon representatives, if I am not mistaken, reported to the senators about what the United States had done to train the combat part of the opposition forces. The initial aim was to train between 5,000 and 6,000 fighters, and then 12,000 more. It turns out that only 60 of these fighters have been properly trained, and as few as 4 or 5 people actually carry weapons, while the rest of them have deserted with the American weapons to join ISIS. That is the first point.
Secondly, in my opinion, provision of military support to illegal structures runs counter to the principles of modern international law and the United Nations Charter. We have been providing assistance to legitimate government entities only.
In this connection, we have proposed cooperation to the countries in the region, we are trying to establish some kind of coordination framework. I personally informed the President of Turkey, the King of Jordan, as well as the Saudi Arabia of that, we informed the United States too, and Mr Kerry, whom you have mentioned, had an in-depth conversation with our Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on this matter; besides, our military stay in touch and discuss this issue. We would welcome a common platform for collective action against the terrorists.
<…>
CHARLIE ROSE: Are you ready to join forces with the United States against ISIS and is it why you are in Syria? Others believe that it might be part of your goal, that you are trying to save President al-Assad’s administration because they have been losing ground and the war has not been going well for them, and you are there to rescue them.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: That’s right, that’s how it is. We provide assistance to legitimate Syrian authorities. Moreover, I strongly believe that by acting otherwise, acting to destroy the legitimate bodies of power we would create a situation that we are witnessing today in other countries of the region or in other regions of the world, for instance, in Libya, where all state institutions have completely disintegrated.
Unfortunately, we are witnessing a similar situation in Iraq. There is no other way to settle the Syrian conflict other than by strengthening the existing legitimate government agencies, support them in their fight against terrorism and, of course, at the same time encourage them to start a positive dialogue with the “healthy” part of the opposition and launch political transformations.
CHARLIE ROSE: As you know, some coalition partners want al-Assad to go before they can support the government.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I would like to advise or recommend them to forward this suggestion to the Syrian people. It is only up to the Syrian people living in Syria to determine who, how and based on what principles should rule their country.
CHARLIE ROSE: Do you support what President al-Assad is doing in Syria and what is happening to those Syrians, to those millions of refugees, to hundreds of thousands of people who have been killed and many – by his own force?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: And do you think that those who support the armed opposition and, mainly, terrorist organisations just in order to overthrow al-Assad without thinking of what awaits the country after the complete destruction of state institutions are doing the right thing?
Time and again, with perseverance worthy of a better cause, you are talking about the Syrian army fighting against its people. But take a look at those who control 60 percent of Syrian territory. Where is that civilised opposition? 60 percent of Syria is controlled either by ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other terrorist organisations, organisations that have been recognised as terrorist by the United States, as well as other countries and the UN.
CHARLIE ROSE: Would Russia deploy its combat troops in Syria if it is necessary to defeat ISIS?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Russia will not take part in any field operations on the territory of Syria or in other states; at least, we do not plan it for now. But we are thinking of how to intensify our work both with President al-Assad and our partners in other countries.
CHARLIE ROSE: As we come back to the problem of many people considering that al-Assad is helping ISIS, that his terrible attitude towards the Syrian people and the use of barrel bombs and other actions are helping ISIS, and if he is removed, the transition period would be better at some point for the purposes of fighting ISIS.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: In secret services’ parlance, I can say that such an assessment is a blatant act by al-Assad’s enemies. It is anti-Syrian propaganda.
CHARLIE ROSE: This wording is very broad, among other things, it can mean new efforts by Russia to take up the leadership role in the Middle East and it can mean that it represents your new strategy. Is it really a new strategy?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: No. There are more than 2,000 militants in Syria from the former Soviet Union. So instead of waiting for them to return back home we should help President al-Assad fight them there, in Syria. This is the main incentive that impels us to help President al-Assad.
In general, we want the situation in the region to stabilize.
CHARLIE ROSE: You are proud of Russia and it means that you want Russia to play a more significant role in the world. This is just one of the examples.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: This is not an end in itself. I am proud of Russia. We have much to be proud of. But we have no obsession that Russia must be a super power in the international arena.
CHARLIE ROSE: But you are a major power because of the nuclear weapons you possess. You are a force to be reckoned with.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I hope so (laughing), otherwise what are these weapons for?
The Ukrainian issue is a separate huge issue for us, I will tell you why. Ukraine is the closest country to us. We have always said that Ukraine is our sister country and it is true. It is not just a Slavic people, it is the closest people to Russia: we have similar languages, culture, common history, religion etc.
Here is what I believe is completely unacceptable for us. Addressing issues, including controversial ones, as well as domestic issues of the former Soviet Republics through the so-called coloured revolutions, through coups and unconstitutional means of toppling the current government. That is absolutely unacceptable. Our partners in the United States are not trying to hide the fact that they supported those opposed to President Yanukovych.
CHARLIE ROSE: You believe the United States had something to do with the ousting of Yanukovych, when he had to flee to Russia?
VLADIMIR PUTIN.: I know this for sure.
CHARLIE ROSE: How can you know for sure?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: It is very simple. We have thousands of contacts and thousands of connections with people who live in Ukraine. And we know who had meetings and worked with people who overthrew Viktor Yanukovych, as well as when and where they did it; we know the ways the assistance was provided, we know how much they paid them, we know which territories and countries hosted trainings and how it was done, we know who the instructors were. We know everything. Well, actually, our US partners are not keeping it a secret.
CHARLIE ROSE: Doyou respect the sovereignty of Ukraine?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Certainly. However, we would like other countries to respect the sovereignty of other states, including Ukraine, too. Respecting the sovereignty means preventing coups, unconstitutional actions and illegitimate overthrowing of the legitimate government.
CHARLIE ROSE: How does the renewal of the legitimate power take place in your judgment? How will that come about? And what role will Russia play?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: At no time in the past, now or in the future has or will Russia take any part in actions aimed at overthrowing the legitimate government.
CHARLIE ROSE: Did you have to use the military force to accomplish that objective?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Of course, no.
CHARLIE ROSE: Russia has military presence on the borders with Ukraine, and some argue that there have been Russian troops in Ukraine itself.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Do you have a military presence in Europe?
CHARLIE ROSE: Yes.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: The U.S. tactical nuclear weapons are in Europe, let us not forget this. Does it mean that the U.S. has occupied Germany or that the U.S. never stopped the occupation after World War II and only transformed the occupation troops into the NATO forces? And if we keep our troops on our territory on the border with some state, you see it is a crime?
CHARLIE ROSE: As you know, you are very much talked about in America.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Do they not have anything else to do? ( Laughs.)
CHARLIE ROSE: Or maybe they are curious people? Or maybe you are an interesting character, maybe that is what it is? They know that you were the KGB agent, who retired and got into politics. In St. Petersburg you became deputy mayor, then moved to Moscow. And the interesting thing is that they see these images of you, bare-chested man on horseback, and they say there is a man who carefully cultivates his image of strength.
You enjoy the work, you enjoy representing Russia, and I know you have been an intelligence officer. Intelligence officer knows how to read other people; that’s part of the job, right?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: It used to be my job. Now I have a different job and for quite a while already.
CHARLIE ROSE: Someone in Russia told me, “There is no such thing as a former KGB man. Once a KGB man, always a KGB man.”
VLADIMIR PUTIN: You know every stage of your life has an impact on you. Whatever we do, all the knowledge, the experience, they stay with us, we carry them on, use them in one way or another. In this sense, yes, you are right.
CHARLIE ROSE: Once, somebody from the CIA told me that the training you have is important, that you learn to be liked as well. Because you have to charm people, you have to seduce them.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Well, if the CIA told you so, then it must be true. They are experts on that. (Laughing)
CHARLIE ROSE: The popularity rating you have in Russia, I believe, makes every politician in the world envious. Why are you so popular?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: There is something that unites me and other citizens of Russia. It is love for our Motherland.
CHARLIE ROSE: It was an emotional moment at the time of the [World War II Memory], because of the sacrifices Russia had made. And you were staying with a picture of your father with tears in your eyes.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Yes, my family and my relatives as a whole suffered heavy losses during the Second World War. That is true. In my father’s family there were five brothers and four of them were killed, I believe. On my mother’s side the situation is much the same. In general, Russia suffered heavily. No doubt, we cannot forget that and we must not forget, not to accuse anyone but to ensure that nothing of the kind ever happens again.
CHARLIE ROSE: You also said that the worst thing that happened in the last century was the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the Soviet empire. There are those who look at Ukraine and Georgia and think that you do not want to recreate the Soviet empire, but you do want to recreate a sphere of influence, which, you think, Russia deserves because of the relationship that has existed. Why are you smiling?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: (Laughing) Your questions make me happy. Somebody is always suspecting Russia of having some ambitions, there are always those who are trying to misinterpret us or keep something back. I did say that I see the collapse of the Soviet Union as a great tragedy of the XX century. Do you know why? First of all, because 25 million of Russian people suddenly turned out to be outside the borders of the Russian Federation. They used to live in one state; the Soviet Union has traditionally been called Russia, the Soviet Russia, and it was the great Russia. They used to live in one country and suddenly found themselves abroad. Can you imagine how many problems came out?
First, there were everyday issues, the separation of families, the economic and social problems. The list is endless. Do you think it is normal that 25 million people, Russian people, suddenly found themselves abroad? The Russians have turned out to be the largest divided nation in the world nowadays. Is that not a problem? It is not a problem for you as it is for me.
CHARLIE ROSE: As far as we know, you are very popular, but, forgive me, there are many people who are very critical towards you in Russia. As you know, they say it is more autocratic than democratic. They say that political opponents and journalists had been killed and imprisoned in Russia. They say your power is unchallenged. And they say that power, an absolute power corrupts absolutely. What would you say to those people who worry about the climate, the atmosphere in Russia?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: There can be no democracy without observing the law and everyone must observe it – that is the most basic and important thing that we all should remember.
As for those tragic incidents as losses of lives, including those of the journalists, unfortunately, it happens in all countries around the world. But if it occurs in Russia, we take every step possible to ensure that the perpetrators are found, identified and punished. We will work on all issues in the same way.
But the most important thing is that we will continue improving our political system so that people and every citizen will feel that they can influence the life of state and society, they can influence the authorities, and so that the authorities will be aware of their responsibility before those people who gave their confidence to the representatives of the authorities in the elections.
CHARLIE ROSE: If you as the leader of this country insist that the rule of law be observed, if you insist that justice be done, if you because of your power do that, then it could go a long way eliminating that perception.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: A lot can be done, but not everyone immediately succeeds in everything. How long has it taken the democratic process to develop in the United States? Since it was founded. So, do you think that as regards democracy everything is settled now in America? If this were so, there would be no Ferguson issue, right? There would be no other issues of similar kind, there would be no police abuse.
Our goal is to see all these issues and respond to them timely and properly. The same applies to Russia. We also have a lot of problems.
CHARLIE ROSE: Are you curious about America more than simply another nation that you have to deal with?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: It is interesting for us to know what is happening in the US. America has a strong influence on the situation in the world in general.
CHARLIE ROSE: What do you like most about America?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: America’s creative approach to solving the problems the country is faced with, its openness and open-mindedness which make it possible to unleash the potential of the people. I believe that largely due to these qualities America has made such tremendous strides in its development.
CHARLIE ROSE: What do you think of President Obama? What is your evaluation of him?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I do not think I am entitled to assess the President of the United States. This is up to the American people.
CHARLIE ROSE: Do you think his activities in foreign affairs reflect a weakness?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: Why? I do not think so at all. The point is that in any country, including the United States, may be in the United States even more often than in any other country, foreign policy is used for internal political struggle. An election campaign will soon start in the United States. They always play either Russian card or any other.
CHARLIE ROSE: Let me ask you this question: Do you think he listens to you?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I think that we all listen to each other when it does not contradict our own ideas of what we should and should not do.
CHARLIE ROSE: You said Russia is not a super power. Do you think he considers Russia an equal? Considers you an equal? Which is the way you want to be treated?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: (Laughing) Ask him, he is your President! How can I know what he thinks?
CHARLIE ROSE: Are you watching the republican political debates?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: If you ask me whether I watch them on a daily basis – I would say no.
CHARLIE ROSE: Marco Rubio is running for a Republican nomination and he said you were a gangster.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: How can I be a gangster, if I worked for the KGB? It is absolutely ridiculous.
CHARLIE ROSE: Are people in Russia fearful of you?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I do not think so. I assume most people trust me, if they vote for me in elections. And it is the most important thing. It places great responsibility on me, immense responsibility. I am grateful to the people for that trust, but I surely feel great responsibility for what I do and for the result of my work.
CHARLIE ROSE: As you know, some have called you a tsar.
VLADIMIR PUTIN: So what? You know, they call me different things…
CHARLIE ROSE: Does this title fit you?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: No, it doesn’t. It is not what your supporters, friends or your political adversaries call you that matters. What is important is what you think you must do in the interests of the country, which put you in such position, such post as the Head of the Russian State.
Transcripts of Putin’s meetings in NYC, September 28, Monday:
Meeting with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe
Meeting with President of Iran Hassan Rouhani
Meeting with President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro
Meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
Putin also did meet with Barack Obama (see Putin’s press conference for more).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For comparison’s sake, here is President of the USA Barack Hussein Obama’s Full Speech at 2015 UNGA. While Putin spoke for 23 minutes, Obama spoke for 44 minutes – almost twice as long, disregarding the allotted 15 minute limit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another interesting one: President of Belarus Alexandr Lukashenko’s speech to the 2015 UNGA (Russian), which I’ve translated below.
(LR: The standard of living in Belarus is twice as high as in the neighboring Ukraine, especially after the US/EU-sponsored coup of 2014. The population of Belarus is still intact due to Belarus continuing to develop its industrial-agricultural base and close cooperation with Russia. This is the opposite of the catastrophic loss of the population in Ukraine, with millions of refugees and migrants to Russia, and the neighboring Estonia/Latvia/Lithuania (EU members), where half of the adult population emigrated to richer EU states and to Russia to find work. See my comprehensive article about Belarus, Lukashenko and neighboring countries: Bluff or Ukraine-2 Disaster? Why Lukashenko and Belarus Are Cozying Up to the WestBy comparison, the standard of living in Russia is 4 times that of Ukraine.)
Lukashenko has also said that the world is more imbalanced than ever; since the collapse of the USSR, the world has failed to regain the true balance and stability. If there is no stability, there is no peace and no balance of power. In any system where there is one single power left, that power will try to gain unfair advantage and increase its own prosperity at the expense of all others. The politics of the US hegemony and national egotism leads to unprecedented pressure on all other countries, sanctions and military interventions.
On the surface and for all to see, we have examples of extreme political arrogance, lies and crimes against humanity. Recent examples are how certain countries decided to democratize Iraq, using the excuse of the non-existent weapons of mass destruction. So, where are those weapons of mass destruction? Where is the Iraq democracy? Why was the president of Iraq killed? What’s left of the country once called Iraq? You’ll say they have made a mistake. Then they should have stopped. But no, they went on to destroy Libya. Maybe enough is enough? No, Syria is next on their agenda.
Same with Ukraine, said Lukashenko. If we don’t stop civil war in Europe, where brothers kill their brothers, the entire world ‘will plunge into a hot crisis, leading to a global war in the very center of the civilized and developed world’ (that’s verbatim what he said). ‘In thousands of years we still fail to understand how fragile peace and stability are. I say this to remind the rulers of this world that God sees what you are doing. You all commit crimes against humanity, while you all appear to be religious people, all attend church. But what if God gets angry enough at your actions and decides to punish your countries. Your innocent people will then have to pay for your crimes’ (again, verbatim).
