Moldova Elections: US Will Do Everything to Keep Anti-Russian Government

Moldova elections

Later in October 2016 Moldova will be voting for a new president. The confident leader of the presidential race is Igor Dodon, whose party stands for integration with Russia and Moldova’s membership in the Customs Union (as they still call it in Moldova – in reality it’s now Eurasian Union). Preliminary polls give Dodon 38.3% of votes. Very distant second and third are two pro-EU, or better described as pro-Romania-absorption and anti-Moldavia-sovereignty, parties with 13% and 12.5% respectively.

People are very unhappy with the government and mass protests have never stopped since 2014, when it was first discovered that government stole $1bln from the coffers and laundered it abroad. However, the present government is propped up by the US and Romania, who continue indicating they’ll do anything to keep it in power. The main reason they are so keen on keeping outright thieves in power is the same as always: they are anti-Russian.

A brief report about Moldova elections and protests, by RT (Rus)

How Dodon was swindled out of his previous victory:

I wrote about history, today’s reality and prospects of Moldova and nearby Pridnestrovie, as well as the political conundrum prevalent in those parts, in several past articles on FT. The entire spread is described in EARTH SHIFT REPORT 8: BLACK SEA GAMBIT. I also did an educational video report on Moldova and Pridnestrovie. Links to these are at the bottom of this post.

Pro-Russian Dodon’s Party of the Socialists won previous parliament elections, but was swindled out of its win via a formation of a pro-West coalition. The situation was complicated by the fact that anti-Russian parties, financed by Romania, US and EU, ganged up on Dodon. Another complication was, and continues being, that the pro-Moldova sovereignty and pro-Russia forces are fractured. Further and wider rift among those forces was successfully generated by pro-West and oligarchic forces through paid agents and through CIA intervention. Honestly, the whole story reads like a thriller (and you can read it in ESR8 below).

Old right vs. left stigma – Lada Ray sound advice for those who want to hear it!

Incidentally, I notice that many still operate under the old stigma wherein the world is divided on ‘left’ vs. ‘right.’ Within this stigma a label, such as ‘left’ vs. ‘right’, socialist vs. conservative reign supreme.

I strongly recommend those who still hold this stigma to drop it, in order to avoid much disappointment and confusion in the future. Those were 20th century constructs, and much of what they used to describe doesn’t work any more. These are really constructs designed to lure in the gullible dupes and keep them within a matrix of false reality.

If a very conservative Trump is pro-Russia, if Hungarian right-winger Orban and French right-winger Marine Le Pen are pro-Russian too, how do you reconcile that with the fact that the left-wing German Die Linke and Greek Syriza are equally pro-Russian? How do you explain such phenomenon under the outdated left vs. right stigma? Or take the only honest Ukrainian politician left Natalia Vitrenko, leader of the banned Progressive Socialist Party, of whom I wrote in the previous post.

At the same time, how do you explain the supposed ‘liberals’, whom some silly confused dupes even call ‘communists,’ Obama and Hillary Clinton, being rabidly Russophobic?

Here’s the truth, of which I wrote previously:

1. Old stereotypes don’t work any more – throw them out!

2. Each country is very different in how they consider someone left-wing or right-wing and each country’s politics and politicians need to be taken on their own merits.

3. Most importantly, forget the outdated political labels! The new criteria are: what does this or that party or individual think about Russia, Eurasian Union, China, NATO, US aggression and sole super-power status, to name a few.

My advice, don’t go by old stereotypes and what someone wrote in some book. Go by what a party or individual really stand for. Otherwise, you’ll always be behind the curve.

Back to Moldova:

Last year, Victoria Nuland predictably left her visible trace when during a secret night meeting in Romania she and Romanian top brass picked the new Prime Minister of Moldova, who was then illegally approved under the cover of the night by the Kishinev marionettes. When the population found out about that scheme, the country became engulfed in mass protests.

Couple that with the fact that several months prior, $1 billion – 5th of this poor and tiny country’s budget – was stolen and laundered offshore by powers that be. The country of 3mln+ citizens is bleeding not only money, but also population. At least 700,000, possibly up to a million, Moldavians work and live in Russia; plus 300,000 in Romania and EU. Essentially, half of the country prefers, or has no choice but, to live abroad to make ends meet. Many in this poor country still make only $5 a day.

These presidential elections will be equally divisive. Pro-EU parties continue pushing for euro-integration at all cost. Romania wants to swallow Moldova’s territory very badly, and it doesn’t care about consequences. US supports Romania’s aggressive ambitions because there is one overriding goal US has in this region: create as much turmoil as possible in the Black Sea region, which will continue destabilizing the fringes of EU and Russia.

No, make that two goals! Another one is the oldest in the book: weaken and destroy Russia.

Of course, just like in the case of neighboring Ukraine, neither US nor Romania think of the people. IF Romanian annexation of Moldova ever went through, this would mean a civil war, much worse than the civil war in Donbass. Parts of Moldova will secede for sure. But while US can hide out from this war behind the big pond, Romania is right there. The foolish Romania would be hit by this civil war much stronger than it realizes.

Presently, as I predicted in my past Moldova writings, the country manages to balance in a relative equilibrium of forces. Moldova is currently a smaller and more peaceful reflection of Ukraine. In 1990-92 there was a brutal civil war, when joint Romanian-Kishinev forces attacked the breakaway Pridnestrovie. After Russian UN-mandated intervention and warning, the war was stopped and the lesson was seemingly learned. As a result, the overall distribution of forces in present day Moldova is healthier than in present day Ukraine.

My past predictions about Moldova are materializing:

As predicted since 2014, a relative uneasy equilibrium exists now between pro-Russian and anti-Russian forces. I previously said that this uneasy equilibrium will continue at least till 2016-17, possibly until 2018.

All about the real history of Moldova, Romania and Pridnestrovie, Moldova elections, mass protests, how $1 bln, or 1/5th of Moldova’s budget, was stolen from the banks, how Nuland was secretly appointing the country’s PM (remember how she was appointing Ukraine PM in 2014?), and much, much more… Read:

Now, to the trending topic: Battleground Moldova – November 30, 2014 Elections

Latest updates from Moldova and Pridnestrovie will be posted here as they come up. Eventually, I may create a separate EARTH SHIFT REPORT about Moldova and Pridnestrovie on LadaRay.info (Remember this site! All future EARTH SHIFT REPORTS will appear there, and all present ones will be transferred to it eventually!). My original article, Battleground Moldova, together with analysis and predictions, appears below updates!

12/8/14 update

Link: Igor Dodon, leader of Socialists – majority election winner – says: the first motion by Socialists in the new parliament will be to annul the harmful EU association agreement. Also, Socialists, Communists and CU Block are disputing election results in court due to the fact that 1/3 of Moldavian voters residing as guest workers in Russia  were denied their constitutional right to vote. Dodon and others predicts social unrest in the country unless re-voting happens.

In the above video at 4:00 local village people talk about how their children who work in Russia send them money. $1.5 bln sent home by Moldavians in Russia allow many in local villages to survive. “For us, Russia is like air.” “We don’t want NATO here. Let them have it in the US. We want to live in Moldova, our country, not in the US.”

At 4:38 – footage of the April, 2009 Kiev-style maidan in capital Kishinev, Moldova, in which then government of Vladimir Voronin (Moldavian version of Yanukovich) was overturned and pro-EU forces came to power. Later, the investigation revealed that violence and pogroms you are seeing on video footage above were executed by 200 militants that arrived from Romania. These 200 thugs turned out to be officers of Romanian special forces. Another 100 thugs arrived to Kishinev from Vinnitsa, central Ukraine, by personal order of then PM Yulia Tymoshenko (Ukraine Orange revolution leader together with CIA asset Viktor Yushenko).

In today’s Ukraine, the agrarian Vinnitsa region in central Ukraine, boasts huge numbers of angry, under-educated and unemployed young men due to the county’s catastrophically ruined economy. Vinnitsa is one of the biggest viper’s nests and sources of violent ukro-nazis for the battalions that ship to Donbass in order to kill innocent civilians. During the bloody burning of people alive on Odessa’s Kulikovo Polie on May 2, 2014, 2,000 ukro-nazi thugs from Vinnitsa descended on the peaceful city of Odessa. They threatened local citizens and usurped the city. At midnight they conducted Hitler-style midnight torch marches, while screaming nazi slogans. Moldova 2009, just like Ukraine 2014, are both typical color revolutions, BOTH masterminded by CIA/US/EU and executed by especially trained international terrorists ready to kill and torture.

Link: Shelin (CU Party leader) talks about falsifications, carousel voting, inability of Moldavians in Russia to vote, 6000 written citizen protests that were thrown out by Kishinev government, etc. Customs Union block disputes election results saying citizens have been duped. Customs Union Block failed to pass the 9% barrier (this is the first time my prediction didn’t come true, due to the denial of voting rights to 1/3 of the voters – read below. Election results are being disputed in court and may not stand. My prediction about CU Block getting into parliament may still materialize if elections are annulled.)

On the other hand, pro-Customs Union Socialists received majority. However, not enough to form a government. Socialists were planning on forming a coalition with the Patria party of Renato Usaty, however, Patria party was banned from elections — illegal move by ruling pro-EU coalition consisting of 3 neo-liberal parties, designed to block Socialists from the possibility of forming a government.

And their scheme succeeded as said 3 pro-EU parties, each of which trailed individually, together received just a few percentage points more than pro-CU forces. They will again form a government, leaving the majority party of Socialists in opposition together with Communists (just like before).

Overall, as I say below in predictions, the situation between pro-EU and pro-CU forces is near equal, creating that uneasy equilibrium I talk about, which will persist. Read more in predictions below for a full picture.

12/1/14 update

#moldovaelections First election results in! Pro-Russia and pro-Customs Union #Moldova socialists with leader #Dodon are in the lead. Communists, who used to be the No. 1 party in Moldova (read more about that below) are second. Three pro-EU neo-liberal parties that form present coalition government are trailing behind!

11/30/14 update

Blatant disregard for citizens’ rights, and next to Ukraine, the most anti-democratic elections in recent history!

Fresh info from Moscow: Moldova opened only one polling station for entire Moscow, where most of the 750,000 Moldavian guest workers in Russia reside. Video link – look what is happening at that polling station! 6 thousand people standing in line in the cold; Moscow authorities had to blockade and divert traffic on Kuznetsky Most – one of the central Moscow streets. 1000 policemen had to be brought in to maintain order – but people behaved very orderly, no scandals or disorderly behavior. Everyone in line is angry at Moldovan government for preventing them from voting. Only 5 polling stations were opened for the entire Russia. Meanwhile, in the EU, where less than 300,000 Moldavian workers reside, 125 polling stations were opened.

According to this, earlier update from Moscow, 15,000 people gathered during the day by the Moldavian embassy on Kuznetsky Most in Moscow, trying to vote. The gathering turned into a real protest with people chanting ‘Rossiya’ (Russia) and demanding the right to vote. According to report, Moldova’s government allocated only 3,000 ballots to this (main) voting station!!! Video link.

Trending: #moldovaelections

Great and timely question by one of my readers about Moldova:

Eric8h: ‘Lada,….great blog! My I ask please what your thoughts are on the upcoming Moldova elections. From afar it looks like the authorities are using all the crooked tricks (with EU backing) to fix the election. Yesterday’s news about the ban reaffirmed that to me. It also seems to me that if enough of the Moldovans in Moscow vote over there……then the pro-Russia side should win. Any thoughts?’
*******
Lada says:
Eric is correct, the Moldovan pro-EU coalition government is using all kinds of ‘crooked tricks’ to hang on to power. He is also correct that if 750,000 voting age Moldavian guest workers residing in Russia (with their families in Moldova, well over 50% of the electorate) were allowed to exercise their democratic right to vote, they would have completely changed the Moldavian political landscape. The pro-Customs Union/pro-Russia forces would be guaranteed to win these elections.

Moldova is the poorest and one of the smallest countries of Europe. Moldova is also a new geopolitical battleground. The November 30, 2014 Moldovan parliamentary elections promise to be the beginning of a shift. The pro-EU coalition government is doing everything to remain in power, dragging Moldova kicking and screaming into the EU, and into the absorption by Romania. The means used to hang on to power at all cost are openly anti-democratic and illegal. Meanwhile, according to various polls, the majority of Moldavians are pro-Customs Union with Russia.

To many Moldavians this is the issue of livelihood and even life and death, in addition to any cultural preferences, traditions, and the Russian language many speak at home. In this regard, Moldavia is very much like Ukraine. It is literally a suicide for Moldova to cozy up to the EU when almost all of its trade is with Russia and other countries of the Customs Union and when 750,000 of its citizens are guest workers in Russia. These guest workers, who may be deported back to Moldova should it make further overtures towards the EU, add a huge chunk to Moldova’s GDP by sending their earnings home to support their families.

The most prosperous and industrialized part of then Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, Pridnestrovie (or Transnistria), has seceded in 1992 because the people wanted to keep speaking Russian. Another area of Moldova, the Gagauzia autonomy, recently had a referendum in which over 95% of the population also promised to secede and join Customs Union independently if Moldova keeps moving towards EU and away from Russia. The Russian-speaking north may also secede should the pro-EU momentum not be reversed.

Knowing they are on shaky ground, current pro-EU government uses openly anti-democratic methods to stifle the voice of the people. The party Patria (Motherland) of Renato Usaty has just been banned from participating in the November 30 elections. The new coalition Moldova’s Choice – Customs Union isn’t allowed on TV and kept away from TV debates. In the info vacuum many citizens may not know what voting choices they have.

The most egregious anti-democratic action of the Moldova’s government is the denial of the right to vote to the vast majority of Moldavians living and working in Russia. There are 750,000 Moldavians in Moscow and other cities. The government in Kishinev only agreed to open 5 polling stations with capacity of 4,000 voters each. This happened despite protests, polls and insistence by citizens and the Customs Union block, who demanded 200 polling station to satisfy the need. Obviously the authorities know they will definitely lose if all Moldovans working in Russia, who remain mass supporters of the shaky Moldavian economy and huge contributors to its GDP, are allowed to vote.

According to Renato Usaty, leader of the banned Patria party, Moldova government is sending only 15,000 voting ballots to Russia, which means 735,000 voters are denied the right to vote. In the EU Moldova is opening 95 voting stations (with 300-350,000 Moldavians living there) vs. only 5 voting stations in Russia where 750,000 Moldavians reside. Further, according to Usaty, polls show that 3 pro-EU parties presently forming government coalition only get 35% of support: video link. This effectively means that the ruling coalition will not be able to hang on to power unless the democratic vote is manipulated.

Predictions:

Moldova’s tide is turning. People of Moldova don’t want the violent Ukraine/ Donbass war scenario, but they also start seing that the path towards the EU is a suicide. Only the oligarchs and the ruling political class will benefit – the country at large will lose.

As a result of these elections the new force, which is in favor of the Customs Union with Russia, will enter the parliament to serve as a counterweight to pro-EU coalition. I predict this new political force, including Socialists and those who side with them, such as Customs Union party of Topolnitsky and Gagauz Party of the Regions with Formuzal, will have a surprisingly good showing and will gain between 15% and 20% of votes. For most, it will be especially surprising considering the info blockade and blocking of the voters abroad.

Communist Party, which is communist in name only, is the largest and oldest party in Moldova. Many vote for it specifically because they mistakenly think it’s pro-Russian. Same confusion happened with Yanukovich and Party of the Regions in Ukraine, until they showed their true colors.

Communists, through their head Vladimir Voronin, have recently re-affirmed on public TV their pro-EU position. As I discussed in my earlier article and video (see links below), it appears Voronin has been threatened/ blackmailed by the West to toe the line. It appears the CIA presented Voronin with an undeniable proof of his son’s guilt in crimes committed in the US. Voronin Jr. resides in the USA. His daddy was told to support the EU integration of Moldova if he doesn’t want his son in jail.

It also appears that Voronin’s substantial personal wealth allegedly stored in the EU and/or US-dependent offshores, was also threatened unless the Communist party expresses a pro-EU position. As I said, these are communists in name only.

Voronin used to be the president of Moldova until mid-2000, when he was overturned in a very similar to Ukraine, albeit less violent, color revolution. He was replaced with the present pro-EU, pro-Romania (which in Moldavian terms means they are anti-Moldavian sovereignty) coalition of Western-educated neo-liberals. To this day, about 40% of voters still vote for communists. Each of the three pro-EU parties in power has between 10 and 20 percent of votes, but together they are able to have a slight majority, thus putting the direct majority communists in opposition.

Communists still hold a lot of sway and can influence the vote. From this it is clear how important it was for the West to threaten and compromise Voronin. Voronin proved to be as weak and flimsy a leader as Yanukovich. He put his personal interests above the interests of his country. The result – as expected.

As an afterthought, Voronin hopes to return one day as president of the country. It is very possible that by siding with pro-EU forces he is also positioning himself as a lesser evil. If pro-Russian forces can’t get the majority in the next several years, people may opt to vote for a lesser evil, Voronin – at least this is his thinking. In fact, Voronin isn’t a lesser evil. In order to return to presidency he is ready to sell out his country.

Still, once in the parliament, the Customs Union Block together with other forces, such as Dodon and his Socialists, and certain Communists who’ll vote pro-Customs Union, will be able to serve as a good counterweight to the pro-EU coalition in power. The biggest obstacle the above-described pro-Customs Union forces have is that they are unable to agree on a coalition due to rivalry and mutual disagreements. Seemingly, socialists, communists and the Customs Union Block would make a natural alliance. But as it stands now, they blame each other for mistakes and inconsistencies, sometimes rightly. Taking advantage of these rivalries, pro-EU parties are able to push their agenda through almost without a hitch. Truly, united we stand, divided we fall. Food for thought for the pro-Customs Union forces of Moldova!

Incidentally, banning Patria with Renato Usaty from running seems to be directed against Dodon and pro-Customs Union socialists, who were planning on forming a parliamentary coalition together with Usaty.

All the above notwithstanding, there is a possibility of a loose coalition between anti-EU forces once election results become clear. After the elections it will be extremely important for the Customs Union Block to continue expanding their momentum and influence – this, in fact, is paramount for the success of the Pro-EAU movement in later elections.

My advice: It would have been much better if Voronin stepped down as the leader of communists, since he is a compromised figure, thus stifling the development of his party and diluting voter trust. However, his lust for power won’t allow him to do the right thing, and no one in his party is likely to challenge his authority.

Prediction: for the next couple of years, the compromised Voronin and communists will serve as a dead weight and a brake on the promising development of the pro-Customs Union/ pro-EAU forces in Moldova. Unless and until there is an internal revolution (literally) within the Communist party (which is unlikely so far), the best strategy for other pro-EAU forces is to take away as many votes from the communists as possible. Those who traditionally vote communist (and that’s about 40% of voters in the country!) need to be convinced that the future is with the Customs Union Block and with Socialists instead. These forces should also leave their differences behind and unite.

Incidentally, the analysis and conclusions presented in this article is something you won’t hear in Moldova, nor from Western MSM, nor from Russian analysts. This article constitutes my original analysis and predictions based on my own info and observations.

The above dynamics will establish an uneasy equilibrium in the country for a period. This equilibrium will last until more people start leaning and voting anti-EU. At that point the struggle between opposing forces will intensify and the game will change, likely becoming more violent. However, considering Moldavians are terrified of the violent Ukrainian scenario next door, there is a good probability the overt violence may be prevented. So far it’s been peaceful, at least physically. The political and social fights will continue being intense, dirty and gloves off.

Moldova will be in an undecided state for a couple of years, until the scale is tipped irreversibly towards Eurasian Union. Incidentally, these two neighbors – Moldova and Ukraine – will look at each other and compare each other’s notes in regards to their decision to join the Customs Union, or rather Eurasian Union. The decision to join EAU will happen for both anywhere between 2016 and 2018, as I said in PREDICTIONS. For Moldova it will be around 2017 or 2018.

Joining EAU is unavoidable. But it will only happen when USA is weakened sufficiently so it cannot dictate any more.

Incidentally, joining EAU is the only way for the breakaway People’s Republic of Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) and Moldova to again become friends.

Some borders (including with Romania) may be revised as a result of all these processes. This will start happening towards the end of this decade and into the next. However, this may not be that big of an issue. It is likely that Romania, along with some other Eastern/Central European countries, in the next decade may become a member of Eurasian Union as well – at least an associate member.

BRAGGING TIME AND THOUGHTS: My Predictions Coming True…again. France Admits Putin Is Winning, EU “Blinked”

Many thanks to reader and FT friend Gary . Gary says: “here is a link to sensational remarks by the French ambassador to the US basically throwing in the towel in the war against Russia. He frankly says that Russia has won, game over. This guy is one of the elites in Europe. This is also music to my ears. I love to see these psychopaths and sociopaths in agony.”

Lada says: For those who’ve asked… If you want to see a typical NWO member, look no further – Gerard Araud is it.

Quote from Zerohedge.com:

“While the analogy of Vladimir Putin playing geopolitical chess (while the rest of the world plays checkers) has been a popular one, the French ambassador Gerard Araud has a different – somewhat stunningly honest  – perspective: Putin “is more a poker player really, putting all the money on the table; saying, ‘Do the same’ and of course we blink. We don’t do the same.” As Bloomberg reports, Araud goes on to express entirely un-Juncker-like, how Putin has outmaneuvered his opponents and humiliated Ukraine. Simply put, he adds, the Russian president “has won because we were not ready to die for Ukraine, while apparently he was,” leaving the ominous question, “when is Putin going to stop? Whatever we decide is a disaster for us.”

BRAGGING TIME AND THOUGHTS…

MY PREDICTIONS COMING TRUE!

Chess, poker… sure, why not. It’s all appropriate. But if you want to use the poker parallel, then I can assure you that Putin NEVER put ALL his money on the table – and this is precisely why EU and US blinked. I can assure you, Russia has much more up her sleeve and many more moves the West will never see coming.

Shouldn’t have attacked Russia in her own backyard. Never a good idea – please check your history.

Apparently, they never got a memo from their mommy that Russia’s karmic role is TO STOP any aggression and abuse of world power. No, they wouldn’t know. But you, dear readers, can read all about that in my PREDICTIONS!

Russia today may be smaller than the USSR or the Russian Empire, but it is more stable both politically and economically. Russia and Putin also have more moral and popular support internally and globally than any country or political figure at any time in history. People sense that this is the time of the great shift and that Russia is the one to lead that shift. Meanwhile US support is practically gone; the only remedy remaining is coercion, threats and brute force. This is all part of the natural cycle.

As calculated by the Russian economists, Russia’s ability to withstand sanctions and economic downturn is 10 times the EU and USA’s ability for the same. Russian military shield, after the disastrous ’90s, is now back to optimal. Russia isn’t advertizing some of the most advanced defence and offence weapons she has, weapons that can incapacitate entire US fleet or any rocket directed at Russia. The only thing that can stop those who live to create chaos around the world to suit their private agenda or to enrich themselves at others’ expense is a threat that they will suffer more if they do, whether it is financially/economically or militarily. Russia has succeeded in convincing EU/US in both. I want to emphasize that Russia and Putin succeeded in all this with relatively little blood and loss, and seemingly casually. See below for my predictions on this!

And by the way ‘the willingness to die for Ukraine’ wasn’t a bluff as I was trying to convey many times through my articles. But this is something these stuck-up neocon idiots would never understand… It was US/EU/Kiev junta that stupidly tried, and are still trying, to bluff, which is so obvious for those in the know.

My readers will recall that ever since my first articles and interview about Ukraine back in February/March 2014, I had made important predictions that are coming true one by one:

1. I predicted that US/EU have already lost but they don’t know it yet. Check!

2. I predicted that Russia would NOT send troops to Ukraine, but will remold the situation slowly in her favor ‘by using all quiet and peaceful means at her disposal.’ Check! (Please recall how many ‘experts’ and ‘clairvoyants’ of all sorts had been saying again and again that Russia is about to send troops to Ukraine – some still do! I was the ONLY one who said firmly from the very beginning that it would never happen!)

3. I predicted that this whole decade and beyond is the time of Russia and there is only one outcome possible: Russia becoming more influential and the Western neocon NWO gradually losing ground. Ongoing check after check… but I can assure you, this is only the beginning.

4. I predicted that between 2016 and 2018 Ukraine will be ruled by completely different people and it will become a part of the Customs/Eurasian Union with Russia. This is still to come, but when it does happen – THAT will be the final checkmate! Well, a least as far as the Ukraine geopolitical ground zero goes…

For these predictions and much more see PREDICTIONS by Lada Ray (this page also contains links to some relevant articles you may want to explore). Moldova Explosion Coming 2: Coalition “Moldova’s Choice-Customs Union”

TransnistrianRegionMap

Background

Moldova is a small country in the south-western part of the post-Soviet space, just west of Odessa, populated with simple and friendly people. I grew up in Odessa, while my relatives lived in Bendery (now the de-facto independent Pridnestrovie) and Kishinev (the capital of Moldova), therefore I am intimately familiar with those parts.

Moldova is considered the poorest country of Europe. Out of 3.6 mln population 1 million works abroad; 700,000 or more of these, in Russia.

In 1991-93 the wealthiest and most industrialized part of then Moldova (aka, Moldavia), Pridnestrovie: full name Pridnestrovskaya Moldavskaya Respublica, or PMR (Western name: Transnistria), seceded after Kishinev Moldovan government announced they wanted to become a part of Romania.

Notice, Pridnestrovie kept ‘Moldavia’ as part of the break-away republic’s full name, therefore declaring that they are not against Moldova, as many Moldovan nationalists make them out to be in order create hatred and division in society. In fact, the tiny Pridnestrovie with 500,000 population, has THREE official state languages: Russian, Ukrainian and Moldavian. Just like Crimean autonomy, with 2 million people, which has recently adopted 3 state languages as well: Russian, Ukrainian and Tatar. Compare that to Ukraine and Moldova with only Ukrainian and Moldovan as state languages respectively, despite the fact that 50-70% of the population (or more, in Ukraine’s case) speak Russian and despite popular protest. No comment needed…

Back in 1993, after a short but brutal war, Russian peacekeeping contingent was stationed in Pridnestrovie based on the official UN mandate, and only that stopped the civil war.

Should the Donbass people today be so lucky, the Russian peacekeeping contingent would have stopped today’s war in Donbass as well. But ever since 1993, the UN fell completely under the US thumb, so this is not an option at this time for the long-suffering E.Ukraine (Novorossia). However, just a heads up – my intel says that this may eventually change!

During Soviet times, Moldova, or Moldavskaya Sovetskaya Sotsialisticheskaya Respublica, was in mint condition due to constant infusions of resources by the Russian Federation – the same thing that happened in Ukraine and other Soviet republics. Brezhnev had a soft spot for Moldova as he worked there at one point. Originally Brezhnev was from Ukraine, and he heavily invested in Ukraine as well. The same story goes for ALL 14 republics, including in large part Georgia, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, who took Russian resources gladly for many years, but who are now so keen on complaining about how ‘Russians oppressed them.’

Soon, I will have a new free EARTH SHIFT Report 2: The Roots of Anti-Russian Hatred in Ukraine, which will go into more detail about how it worked.

I also have a soft spot for both Moldova and Pridnestrovie, having spent many summers there as a child. I think these are lovely parts, although many others in Russia looked down on Moldavia, thinking it agricultural, simple and unimportant. Me – since I was about 5, I was convinced it was highly underrated. And incidentally, the mentality in Russia is changing, too. What can I say, I am always ahead of my time ;), which is more often a curse rather than a blessing…

In those days all Russians, Ukrainians, Moldavians, Turks, Gagauzs, Bolgarians, Greeks and everyone else, lived in peace not only in Moldavia and Ukraine, but everywhere else in Eurasia. One day, peace will reign again. Read the rest of this entry

Why US/EU/NWO Can Never Defeat Russia

In my Predictions and many previous articles I have said that despite the US aggressive push against Russia, they were stupid and naive to think that they could ever defeat or destroy Russia. I analysed, dissected, explained, predicted what would happen next. Many of my predictions already came true, and the rest will materialize in due course. I provided examples of the inclusiveness of the Russian culture, this intangible quality that makes the country alive, proving that its life force remains strong despite any ups and downs. See Raising Chi Against Hatred: The Suppressed Story of Russian Songs that Unite World Cultures.

In the West and Ukraine they love to scream that Russia is aggressive and is trying to re-form the Soviet Union. Russia doesn’t need to do anything. It is the choice and the will of the people that is at play here. This is destiny and karma, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. If anything, Russia is a little unsure at this point as to what to do with all these people who want to join in.

Today, I just want to give a very simple demonstration of how this works on the everyday level. We know that despite all the hysterical political circus about Ukraine being separate from Russia, millions of Ukraine citizens work and live in Russia, sending their money back to Ukraine to substantially prop-up the country’s crumbling GDP. The situation is even more dire in Moldova. Anywhere between 750,000 and 1 million Moldavians out of 3.4 million population live and work in Russia; their earnings provide 30% of Moldavian GDP! Similar, or even higher numbers are true for all other post-Soviet republics.

I was just watching KVN, the world’s longest running Soviet/Russian game show, which is older than I am. It is a cult thing and a matter of national pride. In it the young people compete in their wit, artistic talent and humor. The teams from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Latvia, Israel, Kazakhstan, and other countries usually take part. So, in this year’s show, a team from Kyrgyzstan, a small post-Soviet Central Asian Republic, opened their presentation with this joke:

“Kyrgyzstan is a country of 5 million people, out of which 2 million live in The Capital, and 1 million in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.” The Capital obviously means Moscow. In other words, for Kyrgyzs, Moscow is still The Capital. (See this in KVN 1/8 Supreme League at 6:00.) And note, 2 million out of 5 million Kyrgyzs live in Russia!

My point? All those who live in what I call the Greater Russian world, still consider Russia their country. And this concerns not only former Soviet republics, but also countries that were close to Russia traditionally. In my previous post I spoke about Mongolia – see here. It’s just one example out of many.

US/EU/NWO may try to stir up trouble, but they will never reach any lasting results. They might as well give up now. Problem is they won’t give up, and will continue stirring up trouble as they go, just out of their sheer desire to drag everyone into the abyss together with themselves. This is why since February 2014, and since my first articles about Ukraine, I said that “US/EU already lost in Ukraine, but they are so stupid they don’t know it yet.” Unfortunately, it all has to play out to the end before enough people understand the futility of all this fighting. I am very sorry that because of greed, stupidity and ill will of a few, so many have to suffer.

Recently, there was a soft maidan-like coup in Abkhazia, a former part of Georgia that seceded from it together with South Ossetia in 2008. It is presently an unrecognized, de-facto independent republic, along with South Ossetia. The population is almost 100% Abkhazians. The government had to resign due to people’s protests. Do you know what the people were unhappy about? They were unhappy about the fact that their government was… insufficiently pro-Russian. They want to join Russia, you see.

For another vivid illustration of how this works also watch LRL2: LadaRayLive 2. Explosion Coming! Moldova/Transnistria – Eurasian Union vs EU. In this segment of Lada Ray Live I talk about the pro-Eurasian Union movement growing in Moldova, and also, in the Gagauzia autonomy. The breakaway Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) is a separate – and very interesting – story altogether. The forgotten and the poorest country of Europe, Moldova, is becoming another geopolitical fault line. For much more watch my above video!

Live Poll: Moldavians against EU, want to join Customs Union (lots of people speak up and half of them speak Moldavian, half Russian)

Moldavian workers in Russia beg Russian authorities not to deport them before elections as they have no place to go (in their own country!). This is a very passionate plea by a simple Moldavian woman working in Moscow as a cleaner. She also speaks of the desire of Moldavians to be with Russia. Look at how many people give her a standing ovation in the end! I speak much more about the situation in Moldova in my Moldova/Transnistria video above.

GROSS MANIPULATION AND ANTI-DEMOCRATIC ACTIONS OF THE Pro-EU MOLDOVAN GOVERNMENT:

Moldavians living in Russia and the Social-Democratic Party of Moldova are trying to organize 200 polling stations so citizens of Moldova abroad could vote in the November 30 parliamentary elections. The power in the country has been usurped by 3 “democratic” pro-western parties, aided by the corruption of the largest party of Moldova, the Communists and its leader, Vladimir Voronin. People had been supporting Communists because they thought they were pro-Russian, but, according to my sources, communists proved that they were just as sold-out (however bizarre it sounds) as the Moldovan ruling pro-western neo-liberal democrats. It doesn’t help that the parliamentary system in the country favors the pro-western parties. I also talk about all that in my video, which I highly recommend you listen to: LadaRayLive 2. Explosion Coming! Moldova/Transnistria – Eurasian Union vs EU.

So, the present government is refusing the citizens their birth right: 750k-1mln of Moldovan citizens of voting age, who work in Russia, have no possibility of voting in the upcoming election! By excluding over 1/2 of the electorate that is sure to vote against EU association, the pro-western parties try to ensure another 4 years in power. For most of Moldavians these elections are crucial. November 30, 2014 will decide whether Moldova finally does right by its citizens by joining Eurasian Union, or if it will continue pulling them towards a catastrophic EU integration. Most of Moldova’s trade is with Russia. If Moldova joins EU, it will ruin what’s left of its economy.

Gagauzia is sure to secede. The Gagauzia autonomy had a referendum in February 2014 in which over 95% of citizens voted to join Customs Union and secede from Moldova, unless Moldova also joins Customs Union.

The breakaway Pridnestrovie, with 500k population and decent economy compared to the rest of Moldova, has been knocking on Russia’s door for a very long while. Its referendum of 2006 also had predictable results: about 97% of people voted for re-unification with Russia.

LRL2: LadaRayLive 2. Explosion Coming! Moldova/Transnistria – Eurasian Union vs EU

Episode 2 of LadaRayLive. Europe’s Stepchildren: Pridnestrovie and Moldova – Eurasian Union vs EU

Watch this video on YouTube!

Description:

Moldova and Pridnestrovie – I call them the stepchildren of Europe. The unrecognized Pridnestrovie – PMR (aka, Transnistria or TransDniestria) seceded from Moldova in 1990-1992, following a brutal civil war, and it has been knocking on the door of the Russian Federation ever since. In February 2014 Moldova’s other area, the Gagauzia Autonomy, had a referendum in which citizens voted overwhelmingly to secede from Moldova and join Customs Union with Russia. The new party, “Moldova’s Choice – Customs Union” has been formed in the capital of Moldova, Chisinau (Kishinev), and north Moldovan farmers, who are about to be bankrupted because of sanctions, are on the march. Meanwhile, the Chisinau (Kishinev) politicians and elites continue leading the country into EU. In three months, Moldova will have parliamentary elections. The explosion is coming. Will Moldova turn into another Ukraine? Listen to the very detailed and heartfelt analysis and predictions from Lada Ray, who grew up in those parts and who knows them intimately.

Global Consequences: Russia Announces Eurasian Union and New Currency Altyn

On multiple prior occasions I have predicted that any sanctions against Russia by the West will only backfire, expediting Russia’s re-orientation to the East and the unavoidable re-molding of the Western financial/economic model.

Russia’s re-orientation and subsequent creation of the independent financial system is what the banksters of Wall Street and London City fear most. This will eventually result in a catastrophe for the US/UK and EU, except for those European countries that succeed in re-orienting their economies to the East. Meanwhile, Russia, China and other countries in the Eurasian space, will benefit tremendously. Read: Ukraine Part 7: Russia’s Geopolitics, USA’s Bluff and EU’s Big Mistake.

The US and EU can be proud: as a result of their aggressively provocative behavior and the double standards galore, they managed to expedite the process by at least ten years. Read the rest of this entry

Ukraine Part 7: Russia’s Geopolitics, USA’s Bluff and EU’s Big Mistake

Announcement:

On Friday, March 7, 2014 I will be on the Time Monk Radio’s show PLANE TRUTH. We will be talking in detail about the situation in Ukraine, Russia’s role, USA/EU, geopolitics and my predictions.

The interview is here: The Road to Moscow Goes Through Kiev

Latest news: #G7 countries have announced a suspension of preparations for the #G8 meeting that was supposed to be held in #Sochi in June. #USA and #EU also announced they would be imposing sanctions on #Russia for “invading” their own naval base in #Crimea, protecting Russia’s own fleet and millions of Russians that were openly threatened by the #nazis taking over #Kiev.

Those who came here late, may read my prior posts with thorough analysis and video proofs of what is really happening in Ukraine. Particularly Part 4: Nazi coup succeeds. At the bottom of this post also find a link to: Dr. Paul Craig Roberts’ analysis of the Western media double standards and lies regarding Crimea and Ukraine. Also there is a link to the new leaked conversation between EU Foreign Minister and Estonian Foreign minister in which it is revealed that the snipers EU tries to pin on Yanukovich that shot demonstrators and police in Kiev were hired by the opposition.

The above news and their implications I want to discuss in this piece. However, before we start, I want to point out one of many obvious insanities of the US and EU, which will eventually result in a big problem for both. Note: in the Western news this was not reported at all, or it was twisted to appear that black was white and vice versa. Read the rest of this entry

What is Really Happening in Ukraine? Part 3: Ukraine’s Future

“Every country deserves its government” is a quote attributed to Frederich Nietzsche. How true it is looking at today’s Ukraine.

And here is another thought: “A lot of what is currently happening is not a part of the initial script intended for Ukraine. When you play with fire, be prepared for it to get out of control.” Lada Ray

This is part 3 of my “What’s Really Happening in Ukraine?” article with updates related to the fast changing situation in Ukraine, including additional analysis and predictions. Read the rest of this entry

Russia’s role in Ukraine

So, the billion dollar question is: what is Russia’s role in all this? Russia has been extremely, and surprisingly to some, quiet and restrained on the Ukraine issue. Russia had stressed a few times that EU and US interference is unacceptable. Putin also remarked that joining the EU association agreement is Ukraine’s sovereign decision that has nothing to do with Russia. Compare that with constant interferences by the EU and US in internal affairs of sovereign Ukraine.

Russia also said firmly that should Ukraine sign a free trade agreement with the EU, Russia would cancel its own free trade deal with Ukraine to protect its industry. The moment it has been said, the howling that Russia is putting pressure on poor, defenceless Ukraine, from both sides of the Atlantic became so deafening as if Russia just invaded USA and EU combined. A bit of history

I have to interrupt my planned #SochiOlympics post on Lada Ray Blog, which will be posted soon, due to the fresh wave of madness enveloping #Ukraine.

I was born in Moscow to a Russian father and Ukrainian mother. In Russia and USSR, mixed marriages were absolutely normal and happened all the time. We all thought we were a part of one great Russian culture – and therefore, there was nothing to divide and nothing to fight about, there was no score to keep… Read the rest of this entry
