I confess, in the title I initially wanted to call Dodon ‘The Trump of E. Europe.’ In many ways he is like Trump: he was brought to power by people’s vote, despite powers that be who were in staunch opposition; he tries to implement change in direct opposition to the parliament and elites, not to mention the US and EU. But he also doesn’t act like Trump in many ways. Where there is conflict he seeks peaceful resolution and reconciliation, where there is a problem he personally tries to find a good compromise and mutually profitable solution. He doesn’t start wars, he loves Russia and is proud of having been born in the USSR; he is tough on the West and he wants Moldova to join Eurasian Union.
Unlike Trump, and much like Putin, he tends to surprise on the upside. He does things beyond what anyone expects of him, and this is the true mark of a leader.
In many ways, such as desire for cooperation instead of confrontation, peaceful tendencies and pragmatic approach, working quietly and steadily on the country’s future, despite having to withstand constant threats and opposition from oligarchy and elites, current president of Moldova Igor Dodon reminds me of Putin in the beginning of his tenure as Russia’s president.
MOLDOVA ELECTIONS Lada Ray Feb 11, 2019 Update
Parliamentary elections in Moldova sneaked up quietly. They take place on February 24, 2019 and they are more important than most realize. These elections will essentially decide which way Moldova will turn in the next few years, towards Russia or the West.
This map shows Moldova (or Moldavia). The long sliver on the left is the breakaway, pro-Russian and Russian-supported Pridnestrovie (Transnistria), which was the only industrialized area of the Moldavian SSR. Near the bottom is Gagauzia, the autonomous republic within Moldova, populated with Russian Orthodox Turkic language people. Gagauzia has its separate special relationship with Russia, and it proclaimed that it will secede and join Russia if Moldova is absorbed by Romania/EU. Gagauzia remains a balancing factor within Moldova, not allowing it to become absorbed by Romania.
Despite a small size and economic weakness of Moldova, its super-important geopolitical position between Russian Pridnestrovie, Ukraine and Romania/Balkans makes Moldova a big prize, true harbinger of change and a swing state bar none! The Moldavian choice may influence Ukraine, post-Soviet Space, the Balkans and Europe! At the very minimum it will influence the Russian-leaning Odessa and Southeast of Ukraine. For Russia, Moldova suddenly became an important country, as relations with Ukraine soured. How important is evident from the number of times in the past couple of years Moldova’s President Dodon has been in Moscow, meeting with Putin, Medvedev, Gazprom’s Alexey Miller, and participating in international forums at Russian government’s invitation.
Dodon is known not only for his firm desire for Moldova to become a part of the Customs Union with Russia through Eurasian Union, but also for his balanced, pragmatic and practical approach to Moldova’s affairs. He wants Moldova to be a bridge between EU and Russia, but rejects Euro-integration, saying that no one needs Moldovan agricultural produce in Europe, where there is an overabundance of its own cheese, wine, grapes, plums and apples. Russia is Moldova’s traditional market, which was developed through centuries of living and working together. This is in addition to the natural affinity through Orthodox Church, common history, Russian culture and language. Out of over 3 million country’s citizens, anywhere between 700,000 and 1 million live and work in Russia. Moldova adds billions of dollars annually to its GDP through the money sent back from Russia by migrant workers.

Russian Railways is working on the concept of a cargo train, which will be capable to carry from 300 to 600 tonnes of cargos at a speed up to 300 km per hour.

Cargo transit shipments from Europe to China by Russian high-speed railway will take two days instead of 60 days by sea, President of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov said speaking at a meeting of the United Russia faction.
“We plan to reach China via Kazakhstan and to carry special high profit cargos to Europe via Russia, because a ship sails now 60 days, which is a long time. It sails round India and only than arrives to Europe. With a high speed (railway) transport we will be able to deliver goods in two days, and to earn extra money for our country,” he said.
Russian Railways’ main task for 2017 is the launch of the project and the start of the construction of the Moscow-Kazan high speed railway.
The Moscow-Kazan High Speed Railway’s total length will stand at around 770 kilometers. Trains may go at a speed of 350-400 kilometers per hour, and the time en route between the two cities could be 3-3.5 hours against the current 14 hours. According to Belozerov the railroad may be commissioned before 2022-2023.
The total cost of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway line is estimated at 1.068 trillion rubles ($16.8 bln). The Moscow-Kazan section may later be extended to China, connecting the two countries across Kazakhstan. According to the Russian Railways, the length of Moscow-Beijing railroad will be 7769 km, travel time – 32.8 hours (four times faster compared to current 130.4 hours). The average annual passenger traffic is estimated at 195 mln people.
China intends to provide 400 bln rubles ($6.5 bln) for the project of Moscow-Kazan high speed railway as a credit for 20 years and more than 100 bln rubles ($1.6 bln) as a contribution to the charter capital of the special project company.
The German Initiative Consortium (includes Siemens, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Bahn and other companies) is ready to allocate 2.7 bln euros to finance the construction of the high-speed railway line and to attract up to 800 mln euros for the project.

Uzbekistan was always famous for its cotton and its food: cotton harvest
Famed Uzbek Plov, a very delicious dish, consisting of rice, meat, garlic and spices; carrots, raisins or other dried fruit could be added as well.
Vibrant Central Asian / Uzbek bazaars haven’t changed much since the times of the old Silk Road: local breads, vegetables and spices are sold.
The only difference: now women sell produce, while in medieval times only men were allowed to trade. A woman’s place was at home, cooking, cleaning, rearing children, while her face and body had to stay hidden at all times underneath a burqa.
It has to be strongly emphasized that this was a life of a woman in Central Asia before the 1917 Russian Revolution.
With all its shortcomings, the Revolution and new ideas by Lenin brought a true social revolution to backwards areas like Central Asia. Women suddenly could go to school, vote, gain professions and work outside of home.
Per Muslim custom, only males are allowed at President Karimov’s lavish funeral ceremony inside the historic Samarkand cemetery
PM Dmitry Medvedev, who has represented Russia at the late President Karimov’s funeral, consoles Karimov’s wife Tatyana Karimova and younger daughter Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva.
Notice that Karimov’s wife is Russian, and his daughter is married to a Russian, which we can tell by their names. Like in Kazakhstan, despite 25 years of ‘independence’ and attempts to distance away from Russia, national elites remain Russian-speaking and largely connected to Russia via education, culture, wives and various relatives.
The USSR invested untold billions into meticulously restoring and preserving the historic Silk Road city of Samarkand and another gem, Bukhara. If not for Soviet restoration and preservation, today little would be left of both.
Today, Samarkand is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

On September 2, 2016 the government of Uzbekistan officially announced that Islam Karimov, continuous Uzbek president of 25 years, who had been in this post since 1991, suddenly passed on after a massive stroke. There were rumors that he, in fact, had died earlier but the real date was concealed.
The significance of what happened is three-fold.
1. Uzbekistan is a pivotal crossroads of Eurasia. In medieval times, its famous cities of Samarkand and Bukhara served as key connector points on the ancient Silk Road to Russia and Europe.
Today, this former Soviet Republic has a different significance. Still the richest and most influential state in Central Asia (except Kazakhstan), it serves as a key connector between republics which are in line for ascension into Eurasian Union. Therefore, it is a lucrative strategic location to stage a color revolution in order to prevent the re-unification of Eurasia.
2. It is a tough test for the legacy left by Karimov and for the sturdiness of structures he was able to build after this Soviet republic literally fell in his lap during the breakup of the USSR.
Will his power and state security structures be able to deal with the aftermath of his death? There will definitely be attempts to create Islamic State (IS) and/or nationalistic Maidan in Uzbekistan. Some called Karimov ‘a dictator.’ Others consider him a Western sell-out. Whatever one may think of him, it is undeniable that he managed to preserve the republic he received 25 years ago intact, and didn’t allow it to descend into the chaos of Muslim fundamentalism.
Uzbekistan has been primed for the Kiev-style Maidan since 1991, where many failed color revolution attempts took place. This activity in the past 2 years has intensified dramatically, coinciding with Ukraine 2014 coup and subsequent moves by Russia and Putin to expand Eurasian Union. I’d warned of the upcoming attempts at color revolutions in Central Asia and Caucasus in ESR9: ATTACK ON KAZAKHSTAN – WHO DESTABILIZES EURASIAN UNION.
Like its neighbors, Uzbekistan began its progress towards EAEU, while distancing itself from the former ally USA. And that’s when Karimov suddenly passed on.
3. Was his death natural, or was it a foul play? At 78, Islam Karimov was the oldest of the post-Soviet space leaders. What has happened exposes a massive weak link in the power structures of Russia and post-Soviet / Eurasian states.
This glaring weakness has been known for years; however, to this date a fool-proof solution hasn’t been found yet. I am talking about the fact that unlike in the West (say USA), where the country’s leader is mostly, or entirely, a figurehead, with real puppet masters hiding in the safety of the behind-the-scenes obscurity, there is no shadow government in Russia and former republics. The real, and usually very strong leader is on top, for all to see. Consequently, such leader becomes a lightning rod for attacks.

New Armenia Color Revolution Attempt Begins!
This happened on Sunday, July 17, 2016:
One person was killed when armed men stormed a police station in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on Sunday. Police have surrounded the building and are negotiating with the group, who took several hostages. The Yerevan’s and country’s deputy chiefs of police were taken hostage, among others. The internet in the country is also currently down.

Ruptly is LIVE from Yerevan on the fourth day of a hostage siege on Wednesday, July 20, after an armed group stormed a police station in the Armenian capital and took control of the building on Sunday, July 17. One person was killed and several injured during Sunday’s attack. Soldiers have been dispatched to surround the building and police have continued negotiating with the group.
Armenia’s Deputy Police Chief General Major Vardan Egiazaryan and Yerevan’s Deputy Chief of Police Valeri Osipyan are believed to be among the hostages. Two hostages were reportedly freed on Tuesday, July 19, with seven or eight believed to remain inside. Local media are reporting that the group, which calls itself the ‘Daredevils of Sassoun,’ is demanding the release of jailed opposition leader Jirayr Sefilyan, who was arrested in June for illegal arms trafficking, as well as the release of other political prisoners, including Gevorg Safaryan, Valodia Avedisyan, and Shant Haroutynyan.

This post should be read in conjunction with my previous Deadly Extremist Attack in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The situation in Armenia and Kazakhstan – previously two of the most stable members of Eurasian Union – is escalating. The events in these two former Soviet republics, one located between Central Asia and Siberia and another in Caucasus, mirror each other and are connected. The real target in both cases is the weakening of Eurasian Union, and consequently, weakening of Russia.
The events in Armenia are retaliation for Armenia joining Eurasian Union, coupled with the goal of destabilization of Caucasus and punishment of Russia for successes in Syria, Turkey and the Middle East. Kazakhstan is being punished for being a founding member of EAEU, plus Nazarbayev’s key role in bringing to fruition the reconciliation of Russia and Turkey.

We are witnessing the continuation. Unfortunately, my prediction is that such attempts to destabilize EAEU and its members will continue. Those who organize such events, namely USA/CIA and other Western entities, have an uncanny talent for seeking out the weak links: violent sociopaths, terrorists, traitors, disgruntled or greedy employees, etc. At this moment in the process of the Great Earth Shift every weak link is a major risk. Each and every country better head this warning!

Deadly Extremist Attack in Almaty, Kazakhstan
This is the continuation of attacks in Kazakhstan, which we discussed in Earth Shift Report 9: ATTACK ON KAZAKHSTAN. WHO DESTABILIZES EURASIAN UNION?
On July 17, 2016 armed group of extremists attacked the city center and police station in Almaty. Per reports, 4 policemen are dead.
In Earth Shift Report 9 you’ve watched my video compilation for the previous attacks in Aktobe earlier in June and the attempted color revolution in May. The compilation was composed of raw amateur videos shot by various citizens and then uploaded on YouTube. This new compilation is similar.
The new events confirm that the attempts to destabilize Kazakhstan – one of the important support elements of the Eurasian/global rebalancing system and the support system for Russia, the Global Balancer – will continue.

All-Ukraine Krestniy Khod (pilgrimage) for Peace in Donbass: a beautiful and heroic event – very much needed, which is completely ignored in the West. Tens of thousands of people walk on foot across Ukraine from both west and east to converge in Kiev, despite their lives being threatened by ukro-nazis and Kiev junta. While all this goes on – guess what! The West is completely silent, which only means one thing: it is complicit. I have a tight schedule, but I’ll try to have a comprehensive post about this important event around July 27-28, when it’s scheduled to converge in Kiev.

Eurasia and EAEU Developments: Goodbye Belorussian Millions (Belarus Monetary Reform); Moscow – World’s Most Dynamic City; Armenia Joins Russian Air Defence Network
Since there is a demand among my readers for the positive and noteworthy news from Russia and Eurasia, here are some breaking news of interest. I am combining these three items in one as they are loosely related.
The news are: 1. The long-overdue Belorussian ruble monetary reform; 2. the recognition of Moscow as the world’s most dynamically developing city; 3. Armenia Joins Russian Air Defence Network
Why are they related? It’s clear to me that despite Russian sanctions, despite attempts to destabilize Eurasia and EAEU, despite US attempting to generate color revolutions and conflicts between members of the EAEU, the big Eurasian ship is continuing its steady movement forward. And that’s good news.
I do recommend, for those of my readers who never got the chance, to go ahead and read/watch my Earth Shift Reports dedicated to the topic at hand (ESRs are donation-based and you’ll find full instructions on report page). These reports summarize and pull together all the relevant intel, plus my analytics and predictions, thus giving you a complete and diverse picture of everything surrounding EAEU and Eurasia. Goodbye Belorussian Millions! (Belarus Monetary Reform)
Till today, in order to do some basic shopping Belorussians had to carry large wads of cash. Say, a kilo of meat would cost you 120,000 Belo-rubles (incidentally, Belo-rubles is my own witty abbreviation for Belorussian rubles). In reality, the whopping 10,000 ruble banknote has been small change, while the actual metal coins haven’t been seen in Belarus since Soviet times. I traveled to Belarus in 2015 and I can tell you that trying to figure out what costs what in real terms while pulling out of your wallet banknotes worth ‘millions’ to make a minor purchase was awfully awkward. Other than that I enjoyed my trip tremendously. Belarus has problems of its own, but overall it looks pretty good, especially in comparison with neighboring Ukraine and Baltics. I describe how it all compares in ESR1.
For a moment and a half I even considered moving to Minsk, the capital of Belarus, after a lucrative advisory offer I received.
By far the biggest problem Belarus has is rampant inflation and lack of confidence in the national currency. I told my contacts in Belarus that this problem isn’t Belarus’s fault. Moreover, it simply cannot be fixed under today’s global economic and financial conditions, until 4 things change globally:
1. There is no way to correct this problem for as long as the US dollar is the dominant and practically only global reserve currency;
2. In order for Belo-ruble to stabilize, a new multipolar world has to emerge and take hold;
3. Belarus has to integrate much more into the Eurasian Union and the new common currency has to emerge;
4. The new global economy must be based NOT on money, as the Western-centric model does today, but on resources and production. In other words, the predatory Western economic/finance model has to be replaced.
All these processes have to develop together, and once the critical mass is reached the stabilization will occur naturally.
The above 4 conditions apply in different degrees to Russia, Brazil, China and absolutely all economies of the world. Some, due to added political factors, are hit harder than others. So add to the above list the change in the political system of the West.
However, Belarus can’t wait that long. Monetary reform was planned in 2008, yet it was postponed due to the global crisis. The money printed and coins stamped in 2008 sat in the vaults. This new money is being released tomorrow, July 1, 2016.
Belarus is saying goodbye to the easy ‘Belorussian millionaires’ whose real assets would be meager compared to small potatoes in nearby Russia. June 30 was the last day the astronomical multi-million ruble store prices were in effect. Starting tomorrow Belo-ruble slashes four zeros and what has been 10,000 rubles will become just 1 ruble.
It has to be noted that Belorussian ruble is not the same as Russian ruble, although it shares the name. The traditional Russian ruble got divided as a result of the 1991 USSR breakup. In the ’90s the worst plunge the Russian ruble experienced was $1 to 600 rubles, and that was a catastrophe. At the very same time Belo-ruble fell by hundreds of times against the plunging Russian ruble.
The Belorussian monetary reform will be gradual and old money will be accepted for a while next to the new ruble. Here is a video in Russian, showing Belarus and some of the Belorussian money – the old and the new rubles:
Moscow as the world’s most dynamically developing city
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has announced that Moscow tops the global list of seven most dynamically developing cities. A number of new high-profile city development projects were presented at today’s Moscow International Urban Development Forum. Moscow also has been named one of the world’s ten cities with best investment climate – VIDEO.
So much for sanctions, ‘international isolation’ and all that jazz.

(Just recalling Obama’s last year’s pronouncements that ‘Russia’s economy has been blown to pieces’ and that ‘no one goes to Russia any more.’ Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama: what a fabulous match they are, and talk about being a laughingstock.)
Armenia Joins Russian Air Defence Network
Armenian parliament voted to join the Russian air defence network. The development is especially noteworthy because it happens after relentless attempts by US to create a rift between Russia and Armenia, plus multiple attempts of color revolution and political regime change, in order to tear Armenia away from Russia and Eurasian Union, which this post-Soviet republic joined in 2015. I describe all these subversive attempts and how Russia managed to fend off the attacks in ESR9.
Another interesting coincidence of Armenia joining Russian international air defence system at this very moment is that it happens within one day after Erdogan/Turkey issued official public apology to Russia for Su24 fighter jet downing last year. As I discussed in ESR9, Turkey and Armenia are mortal enemies, who happen to share a border. The timing is, therefore, significant and sends a specific message to Erdogan/Turkey and to the West.

Mini-documentary 1: Foiled Color Revolution in Kazakhstan

It directly names the culprits of the color revolution attempt: Soros, Endowment for Democracy, USAID and other US NGO’s, as well as US government. Other connections named in the documentary are: Ukraine’s fascist ‘right sector’ Islamist fundamentalists and ISIS. Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev announced that Kazakhstan ‘won’t allow ‘Ukraine Maidan’ scenario in the country,’ thus indicating he knew very well where the wind blew from and was prepared to deal with it.
My EXCLUSIVE eye-witness mini-documentary 2: AKTOBE ATTACKS
Complete, packed with action, on-the-ground coverage of what went on on June 5 in Aktobe. Several terrorist groups were involved, some of which attacked 2 gun shops, others – the military installation, yet others hijacked a bus with hostages and a police vehicle.
Panic in the city: note that this amateur footage was shot from different vantage points from lay people’s windows, balconies and from ground level. The whole thing is especially troubling because everything is happening in densely populated areas, where civilians could have been easily hurt, which, thankfully, didn’t happen.
The footage shows the gunmen, attack on gun shop Pallada, the hijacking of the bus with hostages, etc. The opening footage was uploaded on YT by the terrorists themselves. It shows them in one of the hijacked vehicles, being chased by and shooting at police.

Color Revolution Technology and 4 Armenia Destabilization Attempts

“Armenia is now in the Eurasian Economic Union”
January 2, the Treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union EAEU came into force. Armenia became the fourth full-fledged Member-State of the Eurasian Economic Union together with Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
By this Treaty Armenia has become a part of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, signed by the Presidents of the EAEU Member-States – Alexander Lukashenko, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin on May 29, 2014 in Astana, as well as other international treaties forming the EAEU legal framework. From now on, Armenia undertakes corresponding obligations, and therewith gets access to the EAEU single market with 170 million citizens.
By joining the Eurasian Economic Union, the state gets fully involved into implementation of the Eurasian project aimed, on the one hand, at forming of four freedoms: free movement of goods, services, capital and labour force. On the other hand, – at creation of one of the key economic centers of evolving architecture of the multipolar world.
The fourth partner expects a number of positive effects form integration. Among the key ones there are an increase of goods turnover due to elimination of barriers and minimization of administrative expenses,an increase of mobility of labour force due to introduction to the single labour market, an increase of stability of economic development due to reduction of economic isolation effect, development of infrastructure projects, participation in drawing up of the agenda using the mechanisms of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Treaty on accession provides for full involvement of Armenia’s representatives into the activities of the EAEU governance. Upon entry of the Treaty into force the President of Armenia becomes a full-fledged Member of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, and the Prime Minister becomes a Member of Intergovernmental Council; the full-fledged representative joins the Eurasian Economic Commission. Armenia will be represented by three Board Members in the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as other EAEU Member-States.”
Lada’s notes: As of June 11, 2016, EAEU has 5 full members: following Armenia, Kyrgyzstan joined EAEU in May 2015. Tajikistan is next in line.

2015 Armenian ‘Electric Maidan’
Between 2014 and 2016 there were 4 very serious attempts to ignite color revolution, instigate regime change and put a rift between Armenia & Russia/EAEU.
Remember: the mega-goal, the primary target and the biggest prize is ALWAYS RUSSIA!
US cannot allow the very possibility of a multipolar world!
So, on January 2, 2015 Armenia officially became a member of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Before that happened and ever since, there have been relentless attempts to destabilize Armenia by all means possible.
I have been warning about it since 2014.
Following a successful subversion of Ukraine by the US, all post-Soviet space leaders, as well as many other heads of state ,have been on high alert, knowing they could easily be next, and their country could be plunged into chaos and bloody war just as easily.
Armenia, due to its isolated and vulnerable geographic position, weak leadership and poor economic situation was the primary target. Since then, four very serious attempts to introduce color revolution, war and chaos were made in Armenia.
Chronologically from 2014 to 2016, these were:
1. A false flag ‘killing by a Russian soldier’ from the nearby military base of an Armenian family: needed to compel Armenia to boot out the Russian base – the only protection Armenia has against Turkey, its eternal enemy.
2. The so-called “Electric Maidan,” during which electric rates hikes were blamed on Russians (who else?), and where Ukrainian nationalists tried to infiltrate protests.
3. Sudden change of Armenia’s political structure from presidential republic to parliamentary republic, thus introducing additional instability.
4. The latest: April 2016 4-day Nagorno-Karabakh war between Armenia and Azerbaijan – quelled almost immediately due to Sergey Lavrov and Russia’s prompt peacemaking efforts, resulting in renewed truce. This attempt aimed at destabilizing both Armenia and Azerbaijan, and at creating an additional rift between Russia and Armenia. Further, it was designed to push Azerbaijan away from Russia and closer to Turkey and radical Islamism.
And what an interesting coincidence! The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict escalation happened DURING the visit of both heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the USA, where they attended Nuclear Summit hosted by Barack Obama!
Incidentally, did you know that 160,000 Armenians reside in Los Angeles, USA (the largest Armenian enclave in North America) and that George Clooney is Armenian?
