This is today’s video from the #Euro2016 in #France. It shows how drunk British fans, holding beer in their hands, throw coins to the begging refugee children and laugh as several of them roll in the dirt, fighting over one coin. Then, a French LADY shows up, who tells them “Shame on you!” As she admonishes them for their behavior, laughter continues – the lady’s attempt to teach them some manners obviously goes right over their heads.
This, incidentally, is a typical behavior of various psycho-sociopaths and invaders of all time and it reminds me of the episode I described in Earth Shift Report 3: OLIGARCH WARS. It was about young Victoria Nuland in 1982 Odessa. A Russian writer recalls how she spotted Nuland back then in Odessa, who laughed, throwing food into the dirt for little children to pick up, and how that Russian LADY gave her a good thrashing, which got her expelled from the camp.
You can read about the infamous Nuland episode here, posted here on FT: Real source of Victoria Nuland’s Russophobia: ‘Exceptional’ American in 1982 Odessa.

P.S. As an afterthought: This video shows how English football fans curse at and interrupt RT reporter, who incidentally also happens to be British. From what I am seeing, French police and special services are NOT doing their job and are ill equipped to keep order, considering the scope of what’s going on.

SPRING 2016 UKRAINE REPORT! Nuclear Disaster, Elenovka Tragedy, War Against Memory, What Russia Wants
May Holidays and the dangerous spring 2016
This is a cold and dangerous spring of 2016. At least in Ukraine it is. So much is going on that I’ve decided to publish this new UKRAINE report in two parts.
Part 1 addresses a number of crucial new events and important threats facing Ukraine. These are:
1 The shocking Elenovka tragedy – a clear proof of Kiev breaking Minsk-2 peace agreement.
2 Polish and Ukrainian war against Russian monuments and their own history.
3. Chernobyl-2 in the making: persistent dire warnings of possible new nuclear disaster in Ukraine!
Also in this report:
4. The whole truth about Hitler and Nazi Germany.
5. What does Russia really want in Ukraine?
6. How Putin and Lavrov, through peaceful means and reason, outplayed Merkel and Hollande and why Poroshenko won’t be able to attack DNR and LNR.
7. A concise Lada Ray guide to Ukraine’s parts (See additional maps and complete explanation in ESR6: NEW KHAZARIAN KHAGANATE.)
8. Why the pristine Kherson Oblast I once knew is being turned into a disaster zone, being invaded by ISIS militants and the ‘right sector.’ More in the future Earth Shift Report: CRIMEAN AGENDA.
9. Worrying news from Odessa! City’s bracing for possible civil war on May 2 and May 9. The world’s eyes are on Odessa! Part 2 of this report, SPRING 2016 ODESSA REPORT, will put in perspective the dangerous events expected there.
10. Plus, a pre-announcement: upcoming surprise Earth Shift Report re. big changes in EU!
We are approaching May Holidays (RUS: Maiskie prazdniki)
What is that? Maiskie prazdniki is the cumulative name for two holidays: May Day on May 1, which is celebrated as both the day of spring and nature and as the international day of worker solidarity, and May 9, or Victory Day, marking the end of WWII and the Russian victory. Both are very widely celebrated in the entire Russian World / post-Soviet space.
During this period the provocations and clashes in Ukraine are widely expected. Also expected are provocations in other post-Soviet and Eastern Europe countries.
Poland’s war against monuments to Soviet soldiers, those who died liberating Poland from fascism
Polish government is descending more and more into fascism. It has announced the dismantling of something like 500 monuments to Russian soldiers, who liberated Poland during WWII. Hundreds of thousands of Russian and other Soviet soldiers who gave their lives for Poland, had been buried on Polish land. In the past several years vandals desecrated many Russian burial sites and Polish authorities dismantled many Russian monuments. In fact, those local mayors who resist dismantling monuments experience threats from the government and Polish nationalists.
It has to be noted that some simple Poles have been writing to the Russian Foreign Ministry with apologies for the actions of the Polish vandals destroying the Russian soldiers’ graves all over the country and the Polish government destroying monuments. Some try to restore and protect them. I’ll refrain from posting the graphic images here, but you can find them online, or search for videos on YT.
In this post I wasn’t planning on invoking the obvious word: karma. But there will be consequences for such actions. I’m not talking about any ‘Russian vengeance’ here. Not at all. I am talking about divine justice.
Incidentally, I warned about Poland’s descent into madness, isolation and hatred since 2014. Back then, a Polish woman indignantly wrote to me that I had no idea what I was talking about, that Poland would never, blah, blah… And, oh, look: just a couple of years later – as predicted!
Their biggest fear is the United Eurasia: the plan to keep Europe and Russia separate
The campaign of dismantling Russian monuments and other anti-Russian hysteria in Poland is accompanied with the usual BS about ‘Russian occupation.’
This convenient mantra was slapped together by the Transatlantic handlers for their current Eastern Europe vassals back in the 1960s-1980s. At that time it was used to tear as many countries as possible away from the USSR. Today it serves the purpose of artificially keeping the people of Eastern Europe and Russia apart. By stoking a fire wall of animosity between Russia and EU’s Eastern Europe members, the puppet masters are able to keep the Iron Curtain between Western Europe and Russia alive and well.
This is all a part of the same global game of weakening and isolating Russia from the rest of Europe. The creators of this lie are the same as the creators of anti-Russian sanctions and the ‘subversion’ of Ukraine. They will do anything to keep Russia and Europe apart. The thing they fear most is the re-unification of Eurasia into one continuous cooperative and mutually beneficial space – as it historically was and as it’s supposed to be.
In ESR8: BLACK SEA GAMBIT I talk at length about Stratfor Baltic-Black Sea Plan and how Poland is being used to erect a new Iron Curtain between EU and Russia.
Please read ESR8 for a full picture, tying together the worrying events in Poland, Odessa, Pridnestrovie, Moldova, the Balkans and Caucasus. Nothing that happens in those convoluted for the Westerners parts, happens by accident!
The whole truth about Hitler and Nazi Germany
The destruction of Ukraine on all levels continues. A big part of it is the destruction of human memory, re-writing of the genetic code and own history. As Ukraine descends into fascist madness, it is simultaneously ‘decommunizing.’
Hmm… we’ve seen this before in one nice European country, called Germany. The outcome of the German Nazis’ all-consuming thirst for denial and destruction of others is well-known: it caused the near destruction of Germany itself.
It’s amazing to me how short and selective human memory is! I hear everywhere – even heard it a couple of times from my own readers – that Hitler was a good guy and that it was UK and US that made him take the slippery road to destruction. Frankly, I have very little patience with people like that, so I’ll just say it this once.
One: these are the kind of people who think they are independent thinkers because they read this in some obscure book and because they think it’s unconventional to think this way. In reality, they simply regurgitate someone’s hidden agenda.
Two: Yes, it is true that Hitler and Germany were manipulated into starting World War II. Simultaneously, they were pumped up with credits and technology by UK and US. The ultimate goal of this scheme was to unleash Hitler on Russia/USSR in order to destroy the only country that always stood, and continues standing, in the way of Anglo-American globalist expansion and the complete takeover of the world. Along the way, they wanted to destroy another rival – Germany itself.
However, the whole point of being a national leader is to be smart enough to see the pitfalls and traps prepared for you and your country. I am leaving aside Hitler’s hideous national-fascist Nazi ideology, which is partially explainable by Germany’s defeat in WWI. But only just. Again, who was forcing Germany to BEGIN WWI? Yes, they were manipulated by the same forces. But where was the wisdom and common sense?
There, obviously, was none. Incidentally, a German philosopher said: ‘Every country deserves its government.’ Germans ELECTED Hitler and watched indifferently as he prosecuted those who had a different opinion inside the country. The people of Germany also watched and participated(!) as Hitler invaded and looted country after country. Incidentally, the same was true for Japan, which invaded and brutally killed millions of Chinese, Mongols and other Asians.
IF national leadership and the people of Germany allowed themselves to succumb to outside manipulation, if they knowingly benefited from the tragedy and suffering of millions of others, if they CHOSE to purposefully and willingly participate in inflicting terrible destruction on the peaceful people all over the globe – they are responsible and there is nothing that can change that! Hitler and all those who were a part of the German/Japanese/Romanian aggression against other countries are war criminals and their crimes can never be forgotten, unless humans want a repeat of 1914, 1939 and 1941.
Some may say there was no choice. There always is a choice! Some Germans went to concentration camps or were killed because they spoke up. Others became anti-fascists and resistance partisans, or surrendered to Russian troops because they refused to participate in the massacre of Russians, Soviets and Europeans.
Three: I just have one simple number for you – 27 million lives. This is what Hitler’s and Romanian aggression (in Odessa and Moldavia) cost Russia and the entire USSR. Primary losses were in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. Two members of my family died and more were wounded during the Great War of 1941-1945.
36 million Chinese were massacred by the Japanese aggressors during WWII period.
Incidentally, I have absolutely no problem with German people. Two of my best friends in school were Germans; I love Germany and German culture. Same goes for American, Polish, Japanese, or any other people anywhere on the globe.
It’s not about anyone’s culture or nationality – it’s about world view and civilizational choice. It’s also about one’s conscience.
That said, on this site we have zero tolerance for anyone who promotes Hitler or Nazis/fascists of any sort. Permanent ban will be implemented against anyone who posts such comments. See BLOG RULES on top bar.
What Russia really wants in Ukraine
Ukraine won’t be able to repeat the German fate, no matter how much Kiev ukro-nazis try, because Russia won’t let that happen. If Russia weren’t doing everything to keep Ukraine from descending into ultimate madness and complete self-destruction, if Russia played by the same devious rules as the West, by now we would see the entire territory of Ukraine in the midst of civil war. The loss of life, coupled with the destruction of most infrastructure, would be much more widespread.
As it stands, Ukraine is doing an excellent job of imploding all by itself, even when others try hard to cushion the fall.
I wrote in ESR8: BLACK SEA GAMBIT that the West has no idea how many means of secret influence, intel gathering and sabotage Russia does possess in Odessa. The same exact thing is true for all of Ukraine. The reason Russia isn’t using these means is one and only: Russia is trying to preserve the lives, infrastructure and psyche of Ukrainians.
Russia is doing everything humanly possible to gently neutralize the US plan: turning one part of the Russian people against another part of the Russian people.
The West is using Ukraine as a puppet and a disposable tool to manipulate and weaken Russia.
Meanwhile, Russia’s goal is to keep Ukraine as intact as possible in the midst of self-inflicted destructive psychosis, activated and supported by foreign entities. Feel the crucial difference!
As I predicted back in 2014: Russia continues carefully and patiently remolding the situation in Ukraine, which eventually will lead to Ukraine’s turnaround. To do that, Russia is absolutely correctly treating Ukraine with kid gloves, even when it doesn’t deserve them.
Russia is Ukraine’s only hope for survival. Russia treats Ukraine and Ukrainians with kindness and forgiveness of a mother or father, who, despite the cruelty and bad behavior of a prodigal child, knows that one day that child will learn its lesson and return home. No one else needs or wants Ukraine, with all its problems.
Despite all difficulties, this, only correct, strategy is starting to bear fruit. Look at how different some European countries’ position is today, compared to 2014! Remember my 2014 predictions? More and more people in Ukraine and West will be awakening to the understanding of what’s going on; slowly, gradually, Ukraine will be turning back towards Russia and away from the West.
But the task ahead is truly monumental. After 25+ years of Soros/US/ukro-nazi brainwashing, coupled with oligarchic infestation and socio-economic disaster, some younger Ukrainians had forgotten who they were, succumbing to anti-Russian propaganda. It will be very hard, but possible, to rehabilitate this lost generation.
As it is, Ukraine had lost its way 25 years ago and it must go through this cleansing process. When health has been neglected for so long, the cleansing never looks pretty. There is no way of going forward without getting rid of old problems first.
But on the surface, it seems the opposite to my hopeful forecast is taking place. Today’s situation in Ukraine resembles the expression ‘it’s darkest before the dawn.’
Chernobyl 2: New nuclear disaster in the making!
On the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, the loud expert warnings sound that the remaining functioning Ukrainian nuclear stations are a disaster waiting to happen. They have begun replacing the compatible Russian nuclear fuel with American Westinghouse fuel, which proved to be incompatible. This fuel was previously rejected by other Russian-built nuclear stations, for example, in Slovakia and in Ukraine itself.
Kiev’s severing ties with Russia means that stations are not being properly maintained and Russian-made parts are not replaced on time. All four stations are getting old, approaching a point of no return. Using the incompatible Westinghouse parts may lead to a catastrophe.
The biggest worry is the reckless exploitation schedule. Due to power shortages after Ukraine refused to maintain the unified power grid with Russia, operators are forced to constantly speed up reactors to maximum capacity during peak hours. Such experiments led to Chernobyl catastrophe 30 years ago.
The Elenovka tragedy
Two days ago Kiev executed a targeted bombing against peaceful civilians. Six people were killed, including a pregnant woman, and scores wounded, in Elenovka village. These people were sitting in their cars near border control post between DNR and Ukraine, waiting in line to cross to the other side. Some of them were retirees forced to drive to Ukrainian side to get their pensions, others – on their way to visit families or tend to their fields stuck on the other side.
Because Kiev continues shutting down border crossings, more and more have to use the same crossing, resulting in long lines. People sometimes have to spend the night in their cars, waiting for their turn to cross. Just before the shelling, locals reported hearing a Ukrainian drone, and shortly after, the Minsk-agreement banned heavy Ukrainian artillery began shelling cars with sleeping people inside.
Link to video with the aftermath of the Elenovka tragedy. Warning! It’s very graphic!
In my recent post Poroshenko Prepares New War in Donbass? Why US, EU and OSCE are Blind and Deaf? I said:
“If Kiev can’t attack directly, what can Ukraine do? Instead, they are attempting to provoke DNR and LNR. To accomplish that they continuously shell peaceful citizens and villages near frontline. The idea is to anger the republics so much that they lose their cool and begin retaliating, thus breaking Minsk 2 agreement. After that Kiev, US and EU get to blame DNR/LNR and, of course, Russia in violating cease-fire. If that should happen, Kiev and US will immediately demand new sanctions against Russia and attempt to vilify Russia and Putin yet again.
This is why DNR/LNR can’t respond to obvious provocations. The especial cruelty of the situation is in the fact that innocent people and animals suffer under shellings, with no recourse.”
This new provocation falls in line with Kiev tactics of trying to provoke DNR/LNR into retaliating. Poroshenko is desperate. He is being pressured by EU, and now even by US due the election year, to start fulfilling Minsk agreement’s demands. He can’t do that because his own Rada will tear him apart. His only choice is to re-start armed conflict in Donbass to delay Minsk-2 fulfillment. This is why provocations, targeting peaceful civilians, will continue.
My prediction is that the Elenovka tragedy won’t go as planned by Kiev. The plan to provoke DNR into retaliating is needed to distract Ukraine’s public from internal problems, to re-ignite animosity against Russia, to delay the implementation of Minsk 2, to blame the republics for breaking the truce, and to instigate renewed sanctions against Russia in the wake of EU gearing up for their removal. However, all this will backfire.
Instead, the brutal killing of innocents will serve as yet another clear international proof of Kiev breaking the Minsk agreements. This event will put yet another nail in the coffin of the Kiev junta and its support by the West (many more nails still required, but it’s a start). If not, then EU, US, Canada, IMF and NATO will publicly demonstrate to all that they condone the slaughter of innocent civilians. Before some crucial referendums and elections, and in view of recent EU and US criticisms, this won’t look good.
The revolt in the EU has already begun: French parliament votes to lift anti-Russian sanctions imposed by EU. Recently, the people of the Netherlands have voted ‘NO’ in a referendum on Ukraine’s EU association. These are the first harbingers of spring, more to come soon!
Ukraine’s war on monuments – war on its history and genetic memory
Scores and scores of Lenin monuments have been destroyed all over Ukraine. Let’s recall that ‘Ukraine’ as a state-like entity was first created by Lenin as part of the USSR. Before that, there was no country called Ukraine, not even an autonomy.
The destruction of Lenin and other monuments all over Ukraine is accompanied with the wholesale looting and re-sale of parts of these monuments. The video below shows how many such monuments were destroyed and how the enterprising ukro-nazis posted ads all over the internet to sell parts of ‘Illich.’ A whole bust of Lenin, painted in blue-yellow Ukrainian colors, slightly dented: $35,000. Another internet ad about a sale of parts of what used to be a Lenin monument: ‘own a piece of history: made out of rare material, the same used to build the Red Square Mausoleum, price depends on body part.’ Disgusted yet? I am.
If Ukraine’s president, parliament, oligarchs and army can sell the entire country, why can’t these small ‘wheelers-and-dealers’ sell pieces of their history and heritage?
Video (The map of destroyed monuments reads: ’25 monuments to Lenin were destroyed, 5 – attempted to be destroyed.’ By now, I’d say there are many more):
This is the newest one, which happened yesterday: in Kiev, Ukraine, Ukrainian fascists from ‘the right sector and ‘azov’ tried to destroy Soviet monument to Chekisti – RUS: чекисты. The monument is to the first Extraordinary Commission’s servicemen circa Russian Civil War and first years of the USSR (1918-1925). The abbreviation ‘чк’ (pronounced as ‘chekah’) was used to designate the counter-intelligence investigative unit, establish by Lenin in 1918. Later it would be called NKVD and after that, KGB.
Again, let’s remember that without Lenin the entity we today call Ukraine would NOT exist. The territory was slapped together of a number of different areas of South Russia (Yuzhnaya Rossia, aka, Novorossia) and Malorossia (below see my guide to the parts of Ukraine).
VIDEO: ukro-nazis attempting to destroy the granite monument, with hardly a dent.
While not everyone agrees with the methods used by the Chekisti, it is still a part of Russian, Soviet, and therefore Ukrainian, history. Its role was often viewed as controversial, but also necessary, for as long as the country was in the deathly fight for its very survival.
The right thing to do is to accept what happened as part of the country’s history. Only by making peace with the past can one move forward. If you deny your past, your history, you deny yourself. In this regard, Russians are wisely accepting all facets of their past, good and bad. This is why Russia today is where it is, and Ukraine is where it is.
The Chekisti monument was built to last. As you see from this short clip, despite many days of efforts to destroy it, the monument was hardly dented. As one person commented: ‘The Chekisti are just looking down with disdain on these morons.’
The destruction of monuments in Poland and Ukraine are manifestations of the same darkness-induced craze that we are observing in Syria, where ISIS destroys priceless, UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as ancient Palmyra.
Normal people build. The urge to destroy what others have built is a manifestation of an overwhelming darkness experienced by the confused, undereducated and zombified minds, with violent tendencies.
Ukraine is a large country. A small minority of these thugs keeps in fear the majority. But I have to emphasize yet again that none of this would have been possible if these dregs of society were not supported and encouraged by the West! The West, especially and specifically the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Brussels, as well as their stooges in Poland and Lithuania, actively supported and nudged these crazies.
During Kiev maidan, Victoria Nuland and US ambassador Payet personally blackmailed Ukraine president Yanukovich and PM Azarov, threatening them with forced removal from power and personal harm, if the government tried to resist maidan violence and restore order. Similar pressure was put by the EU governments and politicians.
Under any normal circumstances and in any normal society such people would have been in jail, which would deter others. Instead, they were touted as heroes. The all-permissiveness always breads more violence.
The biggest criminals are those from the West who came to Ukraine with the expressed goal to generate violence, hatred and death.
Due to severe imbalance, which the world has experienced in the past 25 years since the collapse of the USSR, the weakened Russia was unable to fulfill her global balancing and stabilizing role. Large numbers of the world’s young people have succumbed to propaganda. This propaganda could be Western, emphasizing Russophobia. But it could be extremist Islamist just as well. It could also be fascist propaganda, stressing the resurgence of the popularity of Hitler and Nazi ideology of hatred and destruction. All these may have a different wrapper and flavor, but their essence is always the same: aggression, hatred, destruction and harm to others, while enriching yourself.
Putin for president and Azarov for PM of Ukraine
Since 2014, most Ukrainians lived in shock and fear. Some were zombified and confused. But the change is coming, the awakening is happening, slowly but surely.
In BLACK SEA GAMBIT I said that if a referendum to join Russia took place in Odessa today, 90% would have voted ‘YES.’ Very similar numbers would be true for the entire South and East. Even Kiev and sane parts of western Ukraine may surprise us.
Kiev just swapped the inept PM Yatsenyuk, who presided over the 2014-2015 destruction of Ukraine’s economy, for the equally inept PM Groysman, who is Poroshenko’s puppet. A poll conducted in Kiev showed that only 29% approved of Groysman as PM, while 58% wanted back Nikolay Azarov, who was PM under Yanukovich. Some now say that ‘Azarov was the best thing that happened to Ukraine in 25 years.’
An earlier poll conducted in Ukraine showed that 82% of Ukrainians wanted Putin as their president.
Renaming of streets, factories and cities – another maniacal epidemics sweeping Ukraine
As part of ‘decommunization,’ streets, factories and major enterprises are being renamed. The citizens are resisting it as much as they can. There are instances when the new name sounds suspiciously similar to the old one. Example: under pressure, a factory in Donetsk oblast (the part located on Ukraine side), was renamed from the ‘Illich Kombinat’ to… the ‘Illich Kombinat.’ Illich is Lenin’s patronymic and he was often called by this alternative name. ‘We renamed it after a worker of this factory, whose patronymic was also Illich,’ explained the locals.
They made an attempt to rename Odessa and call it ‘Kotsyubiyivsk’ (try not to break your tongue). Of course, if they succeeded, that alone would have caused Odessa to secede.
Wholesale destruction of Russian monuments
Under the guise of decommunization, ukro-nazis are destroying monuments to Russian scientists, writers, artists and also generals, who liberated Ukraine during WWII. In 2014, under the cover of the night, they removed the Odessa monument to General Chernyakhovsky, who commanded the army liberating Odessa. I bet Chernyakhovsky’s bust has already been sold to the highest bidder. Just like the ancient monuments of Syria, Ukrainian monuments, or their pieces, end up on the black market, often being sold to Western ‘collectors.’
Odessa, monument to Pushkin on Primorsky Boulevard
This greedy and senseless destruction of everything in sight is happening all over Ukraine. Recently, the famous monument to the 19th century writer Pushkin was under threat in Odessa. Ukro-nazis are continuously threatening to destroy the gorgeous monument to Katherine the Great, founder of Odessa. Obviously, aristocrat Pushkin and the Empress of Russia were ‘damn communists’ and had to be purged. Both monuments are a part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and were saved due to the widespread international indignation.
LADA’S GUIDE TO UKRAINE
End of 19th century English map of South Russia and Malorossia (Little Russia)
Ukraine was slapped together out of several parts, of which the majority was, and continues being, completely Russian-speaking, despite all the brainwashing. This was done by Lenin in 1922 for several reasons: geopolitical, internal political, psychological and ideological. I explain in detail what those reasons were in ESR2: UKRAINE and ESR3: OLIGARCH WARS.
While we all were a part of one big Soviet Union, no one was bothered by it that much. People were prepared to tolerate being a part of Ukraine even after the breakup, as long as they were able to easily commute to Russia for better jobs, sell their stuff to Russia, and be a part of the Russian culture through TV, books and concerts. But now they are unable to do any of that: Russian TV, journalists, artists, writers, cultural icons and political figures have been banned in Ukraine.
I believe I’ve mentioned this in Black Sea Gambit: Kiev is so afraid of the truth that they have banned me and my blog, FuturisTrendcast! Ukrainians can’t read my blog directly, but of course, there are many methods to bypass the ban in a roundabout way.
As soon as these bans began happening, this is when everyone suddenly began remembering that in fact they were never supposed to be a part of Ukraine, that Kiev usurped power and that they really wanted to go back to their roots.
Parts of Russia that became parts of Ukraine in 1922 and later:
Donbass (spelled out as the Donets Basin – RUS: Donetskiy Bassein) – presently Donetsk/DNR and Lugansk/LNR.
South Russia, basically consisting of the historic Tavria and Bessarabia. The Black Sea coast, including Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson. Pridnestrovie (breakaway Transnistria) and pars of Moldova are included. The famous Tavrian steppes stretch along Black Sea from Odessa to Kherson and into Crimea.
Crimea (aka, Tavrida) – now a part of Russia again.
True Russian territories, including the ancient Chernigov, Kharkov/ Slobozhanshina (the area which was part of the lands gifted by Empress to the South Russian Cossacks), Dnepropetrovsk and more – what is often referred to as ‘Eastern Ukraine.’ Dnepropetrovsk, located next to Zaporozhie, is also a part of the traditionally Cossack territory.
Original Zaporozhie Cossacks territories – presently the industrial city of Zaporozhie and Zaporozhie Oblast. I talk at length and explain everything about the amazing, colorful culture of the South Russian Cossacks in ESR6: NEW KHAZARIAN KHAGANATE.
Everything I listed above is historically referred to as Novorossia (New Russia), although of course Russians (Russo-Arian Slavs) lived on these lands for millennia.
Present capital Kiev and poor, agricultural center and north of today’s Ukraine 1000+ years ago were called Kievan Rus, and 300-100 years ago – Malorossia.
Today’s Western Ukraine is correctly called Galitskaya Rus and Podkarpatskaya Rus. These are the lands of the Galician and Carpathian Rusins (RUS: Rusini; incorrect English: Ruthenians). During medieval times there was a pretty large Galitskaya Rus state there, which was invaded at different times by Poland, Lithuania and Austria-Hungary, who eventually destroyed it.
How Putin/Lavrov Outplayed Merkel, Hollande, Obama
& Why Poroshenko Cannot Restart Donbass War
In the midst of today’s gruesome Ukrainian landscape, there is something that has, perhaps, a more positive tone.
Donetsk warns of imminent Kiev attack on DNR and LNR
Donbass braces itself for the new offensive by Kiev. Eduard Basurin from DNR ministry of defence and the head of DNR, Alexander Zakharchenko, continue to warn that Kiev is amassing troops and hardware in order to attack both republics.
However, as I said previously, I simply do not see how they may be able to pull it off (read my analysis in Poroshenko Prepares New War in Donbass? Why US, EU and OSCE are Blind and Deaf?
Additional analysis and predictions
The thing is that Poroshenko has to make certain noises to appease the radicals and ukro-nazis. But as far as real actions go, he really is tied up pretty tight. Besides, as we have determined previously, Ukraine is being slowly but surely ‘flushed down’ by the US and EU (as I predicted since 2014).
The Dutch referendum on Ukraine’s EU association sent a clear message. So did Biden’s advice to Kiev Rada to begin federalization process ASAP. So did yesterday’s French parliament’s vote to lift anti-Russian sanctions (French parliament votes to lift anti-Russian sanctions imposed by EU). And this is just the beginning!
But there is more:
The more information comes out about the atrocities and lies of the Kiev junta, the more EU citizens question the position of their governments. Europeans question more and more the propaganda that told them that Russia was bad, Kiev maidan was good and that EU did the right thing backing Kiev together with USA. The longer anti-Russian sanctions last, the more EU farmers, shippers and industrialists get impatient. Meanwhile some notice that while EU trade with Russia shrunk dangerously, US trade with Russia INCREASED! And that’s in the midst of sanctions! Slowly, US companies are taking over EU business with Russia.
More and more Europeans are realizing they were simply duped and the revolt is brewing.
Merkel, Hollande and other former advocates of anti-Russian sanctions now have no choice but to support Minsk-2 peace agreement at all cost, since the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions has been tied to its fulfillment. In a way, EU as a whole has cornered itself by imposing sanctions on Russia and tying them to Minsk-2 fulfillment.
Neither DNR/LNR nor Kiev are really planning to fulfill Minsk 2 in full. It is actually impossible to do so while this Kiev junta is in power. Poroshenko and his government can PRETEND to implement only certain points. The entire Minsk-2 in principle cannot be implemented until after the ukro-nazi Kiev junta is gone.
This signifies that:
1. What I said from the beginning of 2014: EU elites are inept and don’t understand at all what they are doing, which European citizens are finally beginning to grasp.
2. Merkel, Hollande and others will have to support Donbass truce at all cost. They are being watched by opposition and electorate. The alternative means they and/or their parties will lose the next election for sure. Recall my 2012 prediction about Hollande betraying the hopes of his electorate! As to Merkel, the recent 11% drop in her ratings will continue accelerating. All in all, her political career is finished. It’ll take time, but she’s on her way down.
3. EU supporting Poroshenko’s new offensive on DNR/LNR will give additional ammunition to eurosceptics and accelerate the breakup of the EU.
4. As I predicted in 2014, Putin and Lavrov were absolutely right not to antagonize Europe, continuing to patiently work with them throughout Ukraine crisis and despite their openly provocative, anti-Russian attitudes. This patience and lack of antagonism looks a little toothless to some. I had said that it was the only correct approach.
We’ve already been through this in 2008 with Georgia and several times during 2000s, when Ukraine shut off Russian gas to EU. They yell and scream, and stomp their feet. Then they calm down and recognize that Russia isn’t a monster and that, may be, just may be, they jumped the gun.
I know, I know. Putin, Lavrov, and Russia in general, are the only adults in the room and their patience is truly angelic. While Obama and US destabilize everything they get their hands on, Russian foreign policy is the only thing that keeps the world from plunging into a new global war.
VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!
Odessa’s cold spring 2016: city and oblast are bracing for blood and violence on May 2 and May 9!
This spring is especially hard for Odessa. After Crimea and DNR/LNR, Odessa is the biggest symbol of resistance against the Kiev junta. May 2, 2016 is the 2nd anniversary of the terrible tragedy, when 48, or likely more, people were burned alive on Kulikovo Polie. Kiev and ukro-nazis, together with Saakashvili, are determined to make a bloodbath out of the May 2 and May 9 in Odessa. Thousands and thousands of trained ukro-nazis from ‘azov’ battalion and western Ukraine have descended on Odessa. Provocations are expected everywhere. Tensions are the highest since 2014. Basically, people are gearing up for civil war and fear the repeat of May 2 massacre.
What is happening can be big and is also a harbinger of important changes in Ukraine and around the Russian World.
On Monday, May 2,
I’ll publish part 2 of the UKRAINE report: The ODESSA Report!
Read it in conjunction with my timely ESR8: BLACK SEA GAMBIT,
dedicated primarily to Odessa & Black Sea events and conspiracies!
Kherson Oblast is dying — and Crimean Agenda ESR
As I remember it growing up, Kherson once was a quiet sleepy hollow, complete with untouched, contemplative nature, robust agriculture and down to earth people.
Kherson is dying: it is experiencing a disastrous invasion of ukro-nazis and Islamists from ISIS, Turkey and Crimean Tatar Mejlis, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. The damage to the environment is terrible and the damage to the population is catastrophic.
Their ultimate goal is to squeeze out the native, Slavic population and replace it with Muslim transplants. It may sound crazy and bizarre, but it’s not so incredible if you look at the map and notice that Kherson Oblast borders Crimea to the south – the only land connection to the Crimean Peninsula.
Having lost Crimea, US, Turkey and Kiev have concocted a plan to destabilize it through Kherson. All this is a part of the bigger agenda to destabilize Russia by creating zones of instability all around Black and Caspian Seas. To those who plan all this, people’s lives don’t matter.
All this is the topic of the upcoming new Earth Shift Report
It’s an explosive and eye-opening Earth Shift Report, crucial for understanding the Russian and global geopolitical situation. However, due to urgent May events surrounding Odessa, Russia and EU, I’ll be postponing it till further notice. Since Crimean – Kherson situation is still in development, CRIMEAN AGENDA will come a little later. Please stay tuned!
The present focus is on hot EU developments!
New, surprise Earth Shift Report coming your way!
I received a lot of questions from readers regarding TTIP, Brexit, the possibility of the breakup of the EU, the Dutch, German and French revolts, etc. Therefore, I am preparing a surprise Earth Shift Report in which I’ll address all that, and more!
Formal announcement coming! Stay tuned!

This is just the first step. More to come…
The world we live in is full of negativity and unpleasant news, on which we are forced to focus every day in order to shine the light of truth on grave problems and injustices. However, today I want to focus on something, perhaps tragic, but still inspiring and rather positive in a very profound way.
Lieutenant Alexander Prokhorenko (left) with dad
This is a very touching story of Lieutenant Alexander Prokhorenko and his heroic death in Syria. Facing imminent capture, he called the Russian fire upon his own hidden position after being surrounded by ISIS jihadists, thus taking many islamists with him to the grave. He was posthumously awarded the Gold Star of the Hero of Russia. Lieutenant Prokhorenko has left behind his pregnant wife.
Alexander Prokhorenko and wife Ekaterina
Incidentally, Prokhorenko is a typical Ukrainian name. You’ve probably heard me say before that there are millions of Ukrainians living in Russia, since essentially ‘Ukrainians’ are, simply put, Southern Russians, and most of the normal ones don’t consider themselves separate from the Great Russians in any way.
With great dismay, I often talk on this blog about the embarrassment that today’s Kiev junta-ruled Ukraine has turned itself into. This young man proves that there are good Ukrainians left in the world.
But the story of the Russian hero doesn’t end there. A French couple, in protest against the French media and government’s silence about Prokhorenko’s act of heroism and Russia’s role in Syria, decided to donate their cherished WWII medals to his family.
I’ve said that today’s Ukraine is an embarrassment. However, in truth, today’s collective West’s behavior and manipulation is an even bigger embarrassment, especially that of the US and EU.
But while the West is silent, trying to ignore facts and twist the truth to suit its agenda, ordinary people do speak up. It’s people’s diplomacy at work: Prokhorenko family has been getting letters and donations from all over, through Russian embassies and organizations. These tokens of support won’t replace their beloved husband and son, but they do confirm the family isn’t alone, as many grieve with them.
Touching video with details of Lieutenant Prokhorenko’s Syria act and the French couple’s gift:
Жерар Депардье на пресс-конференции в рамках Берлинского кинофестиваля рассказал о своем новом фильме. Французский актер также поделился впечатлениями о России, ее жителях и президенте Владимире Путине.
During Berlin Film Festival Gérard Depardieu talked about his new film. He also shared his impressions of Russia, Russians and President Vladimir Putin.
Gérard Depardieu: I don’t just have a romance with Russia. I deeply love her. When I am abroad, I feel as a true Russian. With the kind of president we have in France there is no surprise I feel more Russian than French. You can’t even compare the two. I don’t want to talk about politics, I am indifferent towards it, but I immeasurably respect President Putin and what he is doing, and I truly respect the Russian people.
I’m not trying to offend the French intellectuals, including my friends, who often criticize me. But I don’t care. I am the best judge of how I feel, what I see and how I live. In Russia there also are certain people who are against me and who are unhappy how easily Vladimir Putin gave me the Russian passport. Primarily, it is those who call themselves ‘pro-Western liberal opposition.’
Marine le Pen’s National Front wins the first round of regional elections with a national total of about 30%. It’s ahead of Sarkozy’s Republican Party and the trailing ruling Socialist Party of Francois Hollande. National Front gained sharply in the past 3 years and is expected to win again in the second round of these elections. The result has stunned the two traditional parties.
Even if National Front doesn’t win (and barring some huge and almost impossible surprise, such as Sarkozy and Hollande uniting against le Pen, it will win round 2!), Marin le Pen’s star is clearly rising very quickly and definitively, while Hollande’s is plunging, as I predicted in 2012. Back then I also predicted the turnaround of the French policy – and it’s coming. When French policy changes dramatically, it will sweep the change into the rest of the EU. Of course, fully this will happen later, but it’s a good start!
If you think that French regional elections don’t decide that much, it’s true. Regional elections are not very significant per se, but they are considered an important litmus test and dress rehearsal in the run up to the French National Elections of 2017.
Marine Le Pen, Member of the European Parliament:
Videos with more details
Marine le Pen’s National Front:
I want to note that what passes for ‘far right’ in France, in fact is a tough, but sensible and reasonable conservatism. What’s important is that it’s outside of either neocon or neoliberal ideology presently dominating the West.
Marine le Pen wisely took steps to soften the image of her party by dismissing her party’s tough far right ideologist, who, interestingly enough, happens to be her father and the founder of the National Front. This attracted scores of new voters. Le Pen is a consistent proponent of good relations with Russia, who’s also for France’s sovereign and independent policy. She is a huge critic of the EU in general and Angela Merkel’s policies in particular; USA and NATO skeptic.
In 2012 I had predicted the rise of Marine le Pen and her party.
Here is a quote from my French Presidential Elections 2012 article in which I predicted that Sarkozy would lose and Francois Hollande would win elections.
Excerpts from April 28, 2012 article:
In a very funny twist, I am predicting that in the second round socialist Hollande (left) will take some of Marine Le Pen’s (far right) votes, along with the fourth place finisher votes (far left).
Seemingly, it doesn’t make any sense. But: the vote for Hollande is a vote against Sarkozy. This is a protest vote, pure and simple. Because, as I said in my January 2012 prediction: “[Sarkozy is] deeply disliked in his country and [that’s why he] will lose.” The French simply don’t want another five years with him.
In addition to Sarkozy’s ineffectual domestic policies and his foreign policy that is both too America-centered and too bellicose for the liking of the French electorate, there is also another reason. As mentioned before, the crisis in the EU continues to deepen and that spells disaster for the incumbent Euro leaders. So far, 9 governments have been ousted due to the European crisis, including Greek, Italian and Dutch. There are more to come. For Sarkozy, this spells the perfect storm.
On May 6, Nicolas Sarkozy will lose the election (which, based on his reaction after the first round has been a surprise only to him, but no one else). The next President of France, breaking with the long-standing French tradition of allowing a president 2 terms in the office, will be… Francois Hollande.
Most importantly, with the new man at the helm, the direction of French politics will undergo a certain change. There will be SOME change in the French attitude towards the EU and Eurozone. However, I wouldn’t expect TOO MUCH of a change at this time. Real change will come later.
Some change to the emigration policy from the poor countries, which is a big problem in many European countries, as well as in Russia. The European countries will attempt to coordinate their emigration policies and certain border controls will be introduced very soon. But the emigration mess will take a very long time to sort out.
Perhaps most notably, with the new president France will change some of its foreign policy. For one, France will stop playing, forgive the expression, “The French poodle” to the US foreign policy, the role it’s been playing during Sarkozy’s neocon tenure. France will re-acquire its more independent stance on foreign affairs, which it used to enjoy under various other presidents since Charles De Gaulle. And hopefully, France’s policy will acquire a more peaceful flavor, as support for invasions and bombings of other countries wanes.
However, if Francois Hollande fails to fulfill these deep-seated hopes of his electorate, the French people will likely vote him out of the office five years from now.
In that case, Marine Le Pen, the rising star of the French politics, emphasizing pride in France, its roots and culture; who is anti-emigration and anti-war, is likely to win the following elections in 2017.”
In 2012 I also predicted Barack Obama’s win, as well as Vladimir Putin’s win with the exact percentage of votes.

President Vladimir Putin says he’s shared Russian intelligence data on Islamic State financing with his G20 colleagues: the terrorists appear to be financed from 40 countries, including some G20 member states.
Putin talks anti-ISIL cooperation with the West and relations with Turkey.
When talking about previous G20 2014 summit in Austalia I think Putin was exceedingly gracious when he said that the event was organized well and it was conducive of work, adding that he left early because he needed to beat the departure lines.
The reality was of course a little different, when ex-PM of Australia Tony Abbott snubbed Putin and announced ahead of the event that he would ‘frontshirt him’ – Australian slang for tackling him and beating him up. On a group photo from the preceding summit Abbott appeared to have been glaring like a shark at Putin, undoubtedly preparing to devour him. Similar behavior was displayed by Canada’s ex-PM Stephen Harper. We have already discussed on FT the reasons Harper was ousted, one of the biggest of them being his dissatisfactory foreign policy.
But in Australia it was much more hush-hush. In mid-September 2015 Abbott was quietly ousted by the internal coup led by Malcolm Turnbull, both as Prime Minister and leader of Liberal Party. Abbott, born in the UK to British father and Australian mother has seen the image and popularity of his party deteriorate in the past year, co-incidentally, right after he showed himself as an un-welcoming and un-gracious host at G20 2014. Abbott was also known among other things, for his anti-women remarks. It has been recognized that Abbott’s policies were a total failure. It remains to be seen what we can expect from Turnbull, but surely, it can’t get any worse than Abbott.
You may think this is a co-incidence, but there aren’t casual co-incidences in this world. The line-up of those who are losing their credibility, popularity and grip on power right after their attempt to snub Russia or Putin is quite representative. Canada’s Harper, Australia’s Abbott; look what’s happening to Obama and his ratings – he is becoming irrelevant very quickly; Merkel lost a huge amount of popularity and went from the completely respected leader of Germany to the one regarded with suspicion in her own country. Just food for thought…
Putin also talked about conflict in Donbass, Ukraine’s impending bankruptcy covered up by the West, and the fact that Russia is agreeing to restructure Ukraine’s debt, but will need West’s guarantees.

ISIL (ISIS) Destroys Priceless Cultural Heritage. Refugee Invasion of Europe. Middle East Predictions
The contents of the first video below is chilling. To me, the most gruesome part is the senseless and brutal destruction of local and worldwide heritage that IS (ISIL/ISIS) brings with them. They already destroyed the ancient cities of Palmyra and Nimrod. Some of the cities mercilessly destroyed and looted to the bone are UNESCO World Heritage sites, whose museums house priceless historic treasures of global significance.
But note what kind of cars and SUVs these armed to their teeth thugs are driving!
We all know who created these forces, deliberately, or just out of sheer stupidity: those who invaded and bombed Afghanistan and Iraq, who later destroyed Libya and who now is trying to destroy Syria. Those who in the ’70s trained Al Qaeda and Taliban to escalate tensions and lure the USSR into Afghanistan. Al Qaeda and others morphed into the so-called Islamic State (IS, aka ISIL), also financed and protected by the same Western forces.
Now we all have to pay the price for what they have done…
MIDDLE EAST PREDICTIONS
To answer a recent remark/question by a reader, whether the Middle East is calming down and the geopolitical battleground is being moved to the Black Sea area.
Can’t say anything comforting, sorry.
Yes, the geopolitical ground zero is spreading to the entire Black Sea – Eastern Mediterranean area, but there is no calming down of the Middle East at all. I predict further escalation of the Middle East tensions and further destructions and spreading of IS. We are nowhere near the end. The situation in the Middle East will continue spiraling out of control and it will be very difficult to calm it down for years. There are too many unresolved issues that will continue coming up as more and more truth and injustices are revealed. The injustices and truth have been suppressed in the Middle East for too long. The whole huge region is simply sizzling and cooking in controversy and painfully bleeding sores. It is very far from the end – it’s just the beginning.
It’ll only end after the very deep-seated internal problems of the Middle East have been resolved.
People of the no man’s land:
One of the problems is the refugee crisis, when hundreds of thousands from Syria, Libya and other countries of the Middle East try to reach EU. The most recent scandal is on the border of Greece and Macedonia. After thousands of refugees attempted to cross by trains from Greece to Macedonia as the most convenient bridge to the rest of the EU, Macedonia deployed army and police to the border to prevent that (so much for the EU policy of open borders). Similar situation recently happened at the la Manche tunnel connecting UK and France.
Presently, crowds of refugees are camping out on the border between Greece and Macedonia. Videos:
We are at a point when EU has no idea how to handle the crisis they helped generate.
The heads of the EU are proposing the following. Why not relocate 100,000 of no man’s land refugees from Greece to…. Ukraine. I’m not kidding, this is the official proposal on the table!
These refugees from Africa are hard-working people, say the authors of the proposal. There are many abandoned or decaying villages in central and western Ukraine. Why not resettle these refugees in those villages, they will rebuild the villages and work the land. Everyone will be happy. Ukraine is trying to join EU, why don’t they start showing their loyalty by helping out and alleviating the EU burden. We are talking about Ukraine here, the country in pre-default state and in the middle of a civil war!
Ask Lada 2. Russian Asset Seizure in Belgium and France: Does It Mean War?
All posts in this series will appear under CATEGORY: Ask Lada
Our reader and fellow blogger Nemo has asked this question in one of the previous articles.
Pre-history: Shortly before the Sochi Olympics Putin personally pardoned a former Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was serving a sentence on official charges of tax evasion and money laundering. Charges that didn’t make it into the court verdict were much more serious: Khodorkovsky and his crony Lebedev were about to secretly sell-out strategic Russian oil assets over which they took control in the ’90s, during the wholesale looting of what was all of Russian people’s common property.
Khodorkovsky was literally about to board the plane to the US, where he was to make the deal of the century – sell his company Yukos to the US oil interests. In exchange, he was promised an easy election and post of the Russian president. The idea was for him to preside over the completion of the demolition of Russia. The process of the demolition of the country was stopped in its tracks by Putin, and Khodorkovsky’s handlers couldn’t wait to get back on the destructive mode.
However, in his arrogance Khodorkovsky didn’t realize how much the Russian government knew about his plans. He was arrested and tried on the superficial and easily provable money laundering charges.
The real story of Khodorkovsky’s plan and his exposure constitutes one of the main themes of my mystical thriller THE EARTH SHIFTER. Read the book here. Excerpts are here. I also write about Khdorkovsky and other Russian oligarchs in ESR3: OLIGARCH WARS. A Russian oligarch is also one of the main characters in my thriller GOLD TRAIN.
The biggest proponent and intermediary for Khodorkovsky’s early release was Germany, including personally Merkel, citing Khodorkovsky mother’s poor health and other humanitarian reasons. The condition for his release was that he wouldn’t go back into politics. Both Khodorkovsky and his German guarantors swore to that. But then again, Germany swore in 1989, as Gorbachev allowed Germany’s reunification (over USA’s objections!) and as Soviet troops pulled out of Germany, that the unified Germany wouldn’t be a part of NATO…
Of course, the moment Khodorkovsky was out of jail, he immediately started talking about running for Russian presidency, interfering in Ukraine and rejoicing over anti-Russian sanctions.
Another thing he and his cronies, some of whom are hiding in Israel and others in London, have done was to re-initiate a multi-billion-dollar lawsuit against Russian Federation for restitution to Yukos shareholders.
This lawsuit was attempted several times before and EU courts threw it out every time. This time, however, the entire EU and US jumped on it as if it was an anchor to which they needed to hang on for dear life.
What was different this time? Simply put – Ukraine, Crimea, Donbass and anti-Russian sanctions. Yukos ‘shareholders,’ in fact a lot of shadowy entities, most of which were hiding behind bogus fronts, have their own interests. Their goal is to try to squeeze as much money as possible out of Russia after the nationalization of Yukos, following Khodorkovsky’s conviction. They have judged correctly that this time the Hague court would look favorably upon their claim for political reasons, and they were right.
No question, this lawsuit was suggested by the US and coordinated with the EU – the US fingerprints are all over its timing. Shortly after filing, the court in Hague delivers verdict: Russia is to pay Yukos shareholders $50 bln. Russia’s reply: we won’t abide by the decision of the court we don’t recognize.
As a result, Russian property and asset arrests and seizures began in France and Belgium. The amount cited is so far $1.3 bln. These include: arrests of bank accounts of the Russian companies with any stake by the Russian State, such as Rosneft; Russian Orthodox Church properties; Russian embassy, EU/Council of Europe representation diplomatic accounts.
Diplomatic accounts are illegal to seize in any country. If Russia wanted to escalate, such act could be construed as a declaration of war. Both France and Belgium ‘apologized,’ saying they have an absolutely and totally independent legal system; as such, they ‘didn’t know’ of the diplomatic accounts being seized and that they would release them.
Seizure of the Russian Orthodox Church property (such as Russian Orthodox places of worship) isn’t just illegal, since it’s not a property of the Russian State, but also despicable from the human and spiritual standpoint. It’s low even for them. Let’s recall that a similar war on Russian Orthodox Church property and threats against priests are taking place in Ukraine. All this appears to be a very well-coordinated action – and as my readers know, I am non-religious and therefore my point of view is neutral and detached. Read: Pope Francis and World Religions – Karma and Consciousness.
As to the property of the Russian banks and Russian companies, it’s more complicated. At present, Lavrov and other ministers announced they will use all legal means necessary to protest this decision and that companies can feel free to file claims in the Russian court, in return for which Russian court can seize appropriate assets of foreign countries in Russia.
Why Belgium and France?
This is a trial run, for now. They want to see how far they can get and what Russia’s response will be.
It’s interesting that at the very same time during the St. Pete Economic Forum, dozens of business leaders from all over Europe tripped all over themselves to assure Russia they wanted to continue doing business. Afraid for their properties in Russia? German business, as usual, was some of the most active during St. Pete forum.
Why is it being done?
Let’s face it, my early 2014 predictions that US/EU won’t achieve their goals in Ukraine, are coming true. Ukraine isn’t working out for them the way they wanted. Moreover, anti-Russian sanctions aren’t working either. Recall my prediction that in the long-run sanctions will be beneficial to Russia as they will stimulate sovereign innovation and production.
Let’s also face it, certain forces in the US and EU are livid. They can’t accept that things didn’t go their way and they want revenge. The pinprick of the Yukos decision is one of those pinpricks Russia, unfortunately, has to endure. Certainly, $50 bln isn’t a huge blow for Russia. Pinprick it is. It’s also a test: how will they respond? Can we dislodge them by doing it? Will Putin lose his cool?
And what if there are many other pinpricks coming at Russia at the same time? Can we make Russians completely lose it if we prick them from all directions? Let me remind everyone that that’s how WWI and WWII started – lots of humiliating pinpricks, resulting in countries losing their cool.
But Putin’s Russia isn’t Hitler’s Germany or Austria-Hungary.
That’s why all these NATO drills, deployment of thousands of tanks and other heavy machinery to Russia’s borders in Eastern Europe. It’s a bigger pinprick. Macedonia’s (FYROM) recent announcement that it will only allow Turkish Stream through its territory if EU agrees to it – is another pinprick. For more on what happened lately in Macedonia see: Macedonia Coup Attempt – War Against Russia & China (LRL12) and my upcoming LRL14 episode about Camp Bondsteel and Kosovo. Subscribe to Lada Ray Channel to keep on top of new videos.
However, this is still not all. The new attempted ‘electric maidan’ in Armenia (under the pretext of 16-17% hike in the price of electricity!) is yet another pinprick.
And the crowning pinprick achievement: Saakashvili as the governor of Odessa and subsequent attempts by Ukraine and Romania to re-ignite the Pridnestrovie conflict! I will soon have new LadaRayLive analytical episodes about that. Stay tuned for these new revelations.
Everything is going the way I predicted. I warned from the start that US would not accept defeat, and wouldn’t look quietly as its power and dollar dominance are slipping away. Unlike the USSR in 1991, which disbanded quietly and peacefully, It would fight tooth and claw, trying to drag everyone with it into the abyss. I also said that USA’s prime directive is not only to weaken Russia and EU, but also put a wedge between the two, especially, between the what was a newly thriving relationship between Russia and Germany.
Will Russia lose her cool because of these pinpricks? Nope. Russia, as predicted from the beginning, will again achieve a slow change in her favor through quiet and peaceful means.

Vladimir Putin Interview: “I Don’t See the Apocalyptic Scenario Materializing” (with my English translation)
Vladimir Putin: “I Don’t See the Apocalyptic Scenario Materializing.”
On February 23, Russia celebrated the traditional DAY OF THE PROTECTOR OF THE FATHERLAND. On this day, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave an interview to the talk show host Vladimir Solovyov, whom I mentioned previously in my piece about Russian analysts and geopolitical shows: My recommendations: Top Russian Geopolitical Analysts.
Vladimir Putin said that:
He doesn’t see materializing the apocalyptic scenario of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine. Volatile statements such as Poroshenko’s promise to get back Crimea at any cost don’t help. Crimean land does and always will belong to Russians, Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, as well as Greeks and Germans – together with the core population, there are Greeks and Germans living in Crimea as well. As to what country Crimea belongs with, the vote to secede and join Russia was the choice of the Crimeans, and such choice must be respected. Russia certainly can’t ignore or disrespect it. “Hopefully, our partners abroad will soon come to respect the people’s choice as well.”
A large European country such as Ukraine must first focus on how to normalize life and how to stop bloodshed on its territory. Ukraine needs to fix its economy and social sphere, and start talking in a civilized way to the South-East of the country. Ukraine also needs to respect its people’s rights. To make all this happen, Minsk agreements must be implemented.
Those who follow the statements by Putin and Lavrov, would be interested to know that in this interview the always careful Putin for the first time uses the words ‘our opponents’ when talking about US. Before that, both Lavrov and Putin always used the words ‘our partners’ when referring to Americans. This is in stark contrast to the US customarily referring to Russia as ‘axis of evil’, one of the three threats (per Obama) the ‘world’ faces today, the other two being ‘Ebola and ISIS.’
Putin still uses the words ‘our partners’ when referring to the EU/Germany/France, thus signalling the differentiation in approach and acknowledging a rift between US and EU.
Putin also notes that the West doesn’t see the obvious, namely, that there is a civil war in Ukraine, not Russian invasion, because it doesn’t want to. “World-wide MSM monopoly allows our opponents to behave the way they do.”
Putin continues: “The recent hostile remarks by Kerry and Poroshenko may be a reaction to my, not very careful, remark during my recent visit to Hungary. I said that it was embarrassing to lose to former Donbass miners and tractor drivers. It would be bad if they lost to Russia, but not nearly as embarrassing as losing to the simple Donbass citizens.”
In conclusion, Putin very diplomatically remarked that he personally got an impression that Merkel and Hollande were genuine in their desire to avert war and to bring peace to Ukraine. Although the relations between Russia and Germany/France aren’t fully back to normal and trust hasn’t been re-established yet, there is an improvement.
Watch Putin’s video interview in Russian

Episode description: Results and underlying motivations of Minsk2 Ukraine peace negotiations. What do Putin, Merkel, Hollande and Poroshenko want? Is peace in Ukraine possible? What is happening to Ukraine economy? What is the roadmap for Donbass/Novorossia (DNR and LNR). Lada Ray explains and predicts.
Lada Ray is known for her accurate global predictions, as well as for her articles and interviews on the geopolitics and global role of Russia and the Russian world. Among other things, Lada speaks and writes extensively about Ukraine, Europe, Eurasia and other regions of the world.
Thank you, Mr. President! In his recent interview with CNN, Obama admitted that US ‘brokered’ Kiev ukro-nazi coup and Ukraine regime change.
Not that it is a secret to anyone, but it’s nice to hear it straight out of the horse’s mouth.
The world does need to hear this slip-of-the-tongue admission by the Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama that USA in fact was behind the violent ukro-nazi coup of February 22, 2014 in Kiev that unseated Yanukovich and created the bloody civil war in Ukraine. Just one day prior, on February 21, 2014, the EU and foreign ministers from Poland, Germany and France put their signatures under a deal between Yanukovich and Kiev maidan leaders, guaranteeing a stop to violence. One day later, based on the direct US order, as was revealed first in the leaked tape by US State Dept’s Victoria Nuland, and now by Obama, the violent coup overturned Yanukovich, which resulted in the civil war with tens of thousands dead, Donbass infrastructure bombed into oblivion and Ukraine economy destroyed. See RT video with admission: Obama’s guilty conscience talking.
On nother note: notice how hurt Obama sounds during his State of the Union Address and in this interview, towards Putin. Obama comes across as having a fixation on Putin and feeling personally jealous. Not a good thing for a US president, in which he demonstrates both his weakness and insecurity.
In his State of the Union address, Obama said that when in 2014 ‘Putin took Crimea,’ as he put it, everyone touted that as a brilliant chess move. But where is Russia now, he added. Russian economy is in ‘tatters.’
I’ll leave outside the scope of this piece the fact that Russian economy is hardly in tatters and that mid-to-long-term the EU/US sanctions will benefit the Russian economy tremendously. I talked a lot about that in my various articles and YT videos throughout 2014. Also, see my new videos: LRL5: Manufactured Russian Crisis, US Manipulation and Medvedev Plan and LRL6. Secret Connection: Russian Gas to Turkey – Greek Election – EU Breakup.
In the above interview, Obama is back to justifying what were spectacular fails by the US in 2014, namely, Crimea and Donbass. No, Crimea wasn’t any grand master plan by Putin, says Obama. It was merely a reaction to the circumstances AFTER WE BROKERED THE POWER TRANSFER IN KIEV (read: ukro-nazi coup of February 22, 2014 that led to bloody civil war that continues destroying Donbass and killing thousands of people).
Mr. Obama, you bet Putin was reacting to circumstances you and your friends created. If not for the US, there would have been no bloody mess in Ukraine, Donbass would have not rebelled, and Crimea would have still been a part of Ukraine. Read: US Planned to Turn #Crimea into Military Base Against Russia and Striking Geopolitical Similarities: Georgian War – Beijing2008 and Ukraine – Sochi2014.
So, for what it’s worth, the citizens of the Russian Crimea are saying: “Thank you, Mr. Obama!” Thanks to you and your government’s miscalculations, Crimean people’s 23-year-old dream of re-uniting with Russia came true.
Citizens of Russia are also very grateful to you. They are thankful for the sanctions, which allow them to develop their own industry and agriculture that was disadvantaged by the proliferation of the Western produce on the Russian market. Given time, these sanctions will also allow Russia to properly rebuild its financial and monetary system, nationalize Central Bank and re-gain full sovereignty of the Russian currency. This is the beginning of the end of the dollar system.
Citizens of the world are grateful to you, as well. Thanks to the US government’s over-reach and ignorant arrogance, people not only in Russia, South America and Asia have woken up. The rebellion is now starting in the EU. The first country to rebel is Greece; Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, Slovakia, and eventually France, UK and Germany to follow.
Europe’s natural trade partner is Russia. Eurasia, with countries like China and India, is growing fast. Russia is a natural bridge between Europe and Asia. It is through Russia that Western Europe can connect with the booming Asia. Western Europe, Russia and Asia are a natural alliance, allowing people all over the entire continent (Europe + Asia = Eurasia) benefit from each other’s strength and borrow each other’s expertise.
The development of Eurasia, based on the new cooperative principles, will change the balance of our planet. Abandoning behind today’s predatory capitalism, people of our planet need to move to the cooperative society of the future.
America, both North and South, Africa and Australia can then also become the equal and productive partners of the new, stable and cooperative planet Earth. However, to achieve that, first we need to change the imbalanced situation that exists today when single, overly aggressive country tries to dictate to the rest of the world.
The Eurasia story is very important. Stay tuned to my upcoming Earth Shift Reports in which we will discuss it in detail!
US vassals and ‘allies’ are rebelling all over the world. A loyal vassal and NATO member of many years, Turkey, has effectively switched sides. I remember the Cold War days, when Turkey was the place from where NATO/US bases threatened Russia and the city of Odessa, where I grew up, from the south. Today’s Turkey signed the Turkish Stream agreement with Russia and is in line for ascension into SCO. One of the latest occurrences: when Ukraine announced their US sponsors were building LNG terminal in Odessa to replace Russian gas, Turkey that controls the straits announced they won’t let US tankers into the Black Sea.
Meanwhile in Greece: after winning the Greek elections, the Syriza party already announced that they would consider exiting NATO and EU. I said in my recent LadaRayLive video about Turkish Stream and Greek elections (see link above) that Cyprus would follow Greece, should Greece decide to exit EU (and NATO). Interesting news crossed the wires from Zerohedge. Cyprus, reportedly, has offered its territory for a Russian navy base. The strategic importance of such location cannot be underestimated.
France is being threatened by the US repeatedly because the French are trying to break the mold and serve as a bridge between Russia and the West. See related articles: Who Benefits from the Death of the French Oil Giant Total’s CEO Christophe de Margerie? and Secret Link Between French False Flag Attacks and Ukraine and How US Invaded Europe with Its Army of Manchurian Candidates.
US manages to keep Angela Merkel of Germany in line, but the German people are not fooled. The latest trip to Kiev and Moscow by Merkel and Hollande are a signal of EU’s dissent as well. Future will tell us how far this dissent will go, but it’s the beginning.
Even Israel and Saudis are starting to rebel.
It’s not going very well for Mr. Obama on the international arena, which is why his rating keeps dropping and is at an all-time low for his presidency. Meanwhile, Putin’s, already high rating, has jumped up in the past year. Putin’s general approval rating is between 83 and 88. Another recent poll showed that if presidential election were held today, 74% of Russians would have voted for Putin, which is a record number. In 2012 almost 64% voted for Putin, in 2004 – 68%.
Seems like all Obama is doing lately is scrambling to catch-up to Putin all over the world. Putin goes to Cuba – several months later Obama announces that 50 years of anti-Cuban sanctions have been an epic fail and that US needs to re-establish relations with Cuba (check out my articles about Cuba and Putin’s trip to Latin America on this blog). For years, Russia has been working with Iran, lessening the impact of Western sanctions and brokering various agreements between Iran and the West. Suddenly, Obama remembers that anti-Iran sanctions are also a fail and announces that Iran, after all, does have the right to nuclear energy.
Putin recently went to India, signing $20bln worth of trade agreements. Barely a few weeks later, Obama followed in Putin’s tracks. He tried to convince India to leave the BRICS, offering some perks that weren’t fully disclosed.
Signs are important. A red carpet was rolled out for Obama in India. But as Obama descended from his plane, his tank-like limo drove onto the red carpet and blocked Obama’s path. To shake hands both Obama and Indian president had to walk around the limo.
Later, Obama watched a military parade in his honor, while chewing gum, which Indians took as an insult. They should have pitied him instead as chewing gum actually denotes discomfort and nervousness.
I can certainly see why Obama had felt nervous while watching that military parade. For one, Indians were demonstrating rockets, tanks and other serious military hardware. The polite Indians would always make their guest welcome, but in this case, this demo of the Indian military power was no doubt meant as a subtle (well, not so subtle, perhaps) hint not to try anything funny as India would be capable of defending itself. But the clincher was that Indians made Obama sit through the parade filled with latest Russian technology recently purchased by India. Anyone would start chewing gum at such humiliation!
After Obama’s visit to India, China issued a rare official warning to India that they shouldn’t get too close to the US and that they should stick with their BRICS friends. China is obviously acting here on behalf of other BRICS countries. But in reality, China needn’t worry. US won’t get anywhere with India. Same goes for Iran and Cuba.
For all these countries US overtures are too little too late. These jerky moves by Obama denote desperation and admission of the fact that power is slipping away from the world hegemon wannabe.
In the very beginning of 2014 I predicted that US getting involved in Ukraine and orchestrating the illegal nazi coup in Kiev would not get them anywhere long-term. I said that they already lost, but they don’t know it yet. Unfortunately, the energy that is clearly set in stone in the cosmic sense; in other words, something I can clearly see as already manifested as a mystical futurist, takes a long time to play out in 3D. 3D is the three-dimensional reality of the physical dimension in which humanity exists. Therefore, what was clearly visible to me since February 2014, is only now starting to manifest in the physical reality.
I also said that at this time of massive Earth Shift and re-building of the entire human econo-political system, smaller countries and countries that are in-between (the ones whose allegiances could be divided) could benefit by negotiating preferential deals with both sides. It’s sort of like children of divorced parents, who can get twice the presents and ice cream from both. But such things only go so far. At some point everyone will have to decide which way they go.
As to India, I hear my Indian friends saying that Russia is their most loyal friend that had proven time and again their friendship. Therefore, there is no question in their mind which way to go.
Incidentally, FM of India has met with FMs of China and Russia in Beijing to discuss their common affairs, following Obama’s visit to New Delhi. Link to press conference in Chinese and Russian. Translating from the diplomatic tongue it means: “Sure, we met with Obama, but it was all for show. We are with you all the way, rest assured.”
Neither Indians, nor Iranians or Cubans, not to mention Greeks, Italians, Kazakhs, South Americans and Chinese have any illusions about the US. They know very well who their friend is, and who isn’t. When I traveled in Asia in the early 2000, I was amazed at how people felt towards the US in countries such as Malaysia. The past 12 years and latest Malaysia Airlines false flags only reinforced their opinion.
This information is diligently suppressed in the West, but the rest of the world understands very well that it was US, together with its vassals, who orchestrated the bloody nazi coup in Kiev for the purpose of destroying Ukraine, destabilizing Russia and EU, and in order to put a wedge between Russia and EU (for details see my 2014 articles about Ukraine and PREDICTIONS).
People don’t buy the official US lies. The old US playbook has stopped working.
So, Mr. Obama, as they say in Russia, don’t dig a grave for someone else – you’ll fall in it yourself.

Very worrisome urgent news from #Ukraine and #Donbass, secretly linked to the recent multiple false flags in France!
It has become known that the Kiev junta is planning a new massive offensive on Donetsk and Lugansk around January 15. According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Kiev is announcing a new mobilization to recruit anywhere between 50 and 200 thousand additional soldiers. Some of these are foreign mercenaries, including from Poland, US, France, Lithuania and Israel, among others.
Link to Sergey Lavrov’s announcement: Сергей Лавров: Украинские силовики готовят попытку силового решения конфликта в Донбассе. Lavrov said: “We have a very worrying information being presently double-checked, that Ukrainian army is preparing soon a new attempt of resolving the Donbass problem by brute force. This attempt will be a catastrophe. Ukraine isn’t denying that a new mobilization is supposed to draft anywhere between 50 and over 200 thousand new troops. In addition to this new problem, we still have no clarity on the status of various so-called ‘oligarchic battalions’ with no clear chain of command; there are still the illegal bands such as the right sector, roaming free. Today we discussed with German FM the fact that EU is sending a mission to Kiev, which we hope will help correct the problem with the illegal bands of well-trained, well-armed people who control a large part of Ukraine’s territory, many of whom are suspected of committing serious crimes against humanity, such as the mass graves found in Donbass.”
How is the #falseflag in France connected with this worrying announcement of a new offensive on Donbass?
If you watched the “Unity March” in Paris in response to the Charlie Hebdo and other attacks, you have noticed that Ukraine’s Poroshenko marched in the first row next to the French president Hollande and German chancellor Merkel. You would have also noticed Israel’s Netanyahu as well, one of the world’s biggest neocons and NWO pointmen. It is rumored that Hollande asked Netanyahu not to come, but Bibi came nevertheless. Video here.
Poroshenko, the head of the illegal Kiev junta government, whose hands are up to his elbows in blood of the Donbass and Odessa people, came to show his solidarity with what exactly in Paris? And Netanyahu?
The timing of the whole thing is very, very suspect yet again. Let’s recall that last July, when the EU bulked at the new round of sanctions against Russia, the #MH17 catastrophe promptly happened. This was immediately, despite all indications to the contrary, blamed on Russia and Donbass, which caused the ‘indignant’ EU to adopt a new harmful round of anti-Russian sanctions. Read: Ukraine’s Snowden: Whistleblower confirms MH17 was shot down by Ukraine, and my other articles on the issue, links to which you will find inside this link.
Let’s see what happened this time:
Recently, French president Hollande announced he wanted to play peacemaker between Donbass and Ukraine, Russia and EU. He flew to Kazakhstan and then made a surprise visit to Moscow; he also hinted that perhaps anti-Russian sanctions, damaging to both Russian and EU economies, could be lifted.
The pro-Russian, anti-sanctions moods have been growing in Europe as simple Europeans get sick and tired of the status quo.
I have shown how some Germans feel in my last piece: World Beware! What is Really Behind Angela Merkel’s Subservience to the US? In this piece I have also shown that Merkel of Germany is a completely sold-out and very dangerous agent of the Anglo-American NWO elites.
Honest Europeans don’t want war and animosity. It’s natural for people to want to live in peace and cooperation. As Europe again starts doubting the wisdom of sanctions and of alienating Russia, THE NEW REMINDER is necessary. Enter #CharlieHebdo massacre and other French false flags.
It is clear to me that #Poroshenko’s real goal in Paris was to meet with Hollande and Merkel in order to obtain EU’s green light for the massive new attack on Donbass, to begin around mid-January. As of the beginning of January 2015, based on the mood of their people, it appeared that EU leaders wouldn’t easily acquiesce to this new attack, nor would the EU people close their eyes to it. That mood was changed by the French false flags. The French false flag game changer was especially necessary in order to convince Hollande, who was wavering the most based on the feelings of his electorate.
I have said before that the US/NATO/NWO are a wounded, rabid beast painted into a corner, desperate to save its dying petrodollar system. Change is coming swiftly and it’s coming from Russia. Therefore, Russia and Putin have to be vilified, weakened and destroyed. This is their prime directive and primary goal.
I also said in previous articles that due to certain fiascos they suffered in Ukraine in 2014, US/NWO is now using better masterminds and a more creative approach. The false flags in France were meant to accomplish several things at once:
1. EU needs to curb muslim emigration and restrict free movement across borders – making people afraid of terrorism is the best way to justify doing that.
2. More surveillance and other controls will be authorized as a result of the French attacks; this time Europeans, like Americans after 9/11, won’t protest.
3. Hollande’s approval ratings were slipping badly. He felt he needed to play the ‘better relations with Russia’ card to improve them. The US/NWO masterminds are offering him an alternative here. As a result of the nation rallying against attacks, his ratings should go up. And look! No improvement with Russia is needed. I predict though that this fake rating improvement won’t last long for Hollande. People aren’t that stupid.
4. Since direct false flags involving Russia or Donbass won’t work any more as the majority of the world’s population is already on to them, this roundabout false flag is so much more useful! Here is how it works: create an image of a potential terrorist in the minds of Europeans, then superimpose this image onto several million of the Donbass people, and especially the Donetsk and Lugansk self-defence. Make them all look like terrorists. Make them seem similar to those who committed murder of the Charlie Hebdo journalists and other false flags.
Except, call them Russian terrorists. Tell Europeans that Russian terrorists, together with Chechen terrorists (remember the “Chechen terrorists” Boston bombing false flag?), invaded Donbass. Also, twist history and tell Europeans that it were Russians who invaded them in 1944…
This was the plan designed for Poroshenko by his handlers and successfully accomplished:
Dispatch another US puppet, #Nuland’s favorite disciple #Yatsenyuk, to Berlin. Have him say on the main German STATE TV CHANNEL ARD that “Russia attacked Nazi Germany and that Russia also attacked Ukraine.” More about this stunt here.
Then, have the same ARD TV channel, controlled by Merkel and her government, for the umptieth time say that it was Russia that downed MH17 in Ukraine, despite all facts to the contrary.
At the same time, have your Western handlers organize multiple false flags in France. Then have them organize a 3 million people march in Paris. Go there for a magnificent photo-op, happily wave to imaginary ‘fans’ in the crowd during a somber day of grief; register yourself next to Merkel, Hollande and Netanyahu as a dove of peace, while old women are starving and children are dying of bombings back home. Video of Poroshenko waving to the crowd in Paris.
After that, have your handlers equate the Donbass people fighting to protect their homes from the ukro-nazi invasion with fake muslim terrorists in France; have them spread fear of Russia invading Europe again… just like in 1944.
Just like it happened 1000, 300 and 100 years ago, they are again attempting to re-write history. Was it Russia that invaded Europe? Or was it the other way around? I must be hallucinating when I clearly recall that it was specifically GERMANY that invaded Russia/USSR in 1941. I must also be hallucinating when I recall that it was specifically FRANCE that invaded Russia in 1812. And these are specifically the ‘leaders’ of these two countries that are now huffing and puffing about Russia??!
Last step: Poroshenko meets with Hollande and Merkel to get an okay for the new round of destruction and killings in the long-suffering Donbass. Mission accomplished.
MY DIRE WARNING: Europeans, if you don’t want to learn, then don’t cry later, when it’s too late. You are being pushed in all the wrong directions by psychotic and evil forces that want to drag the world into the last war. Remember my predictions: Russia can always protect herself. It will be the EU that will be caught in the crossfire.
It appears Poroshenko has received his okay from the EU, hence the new mass mobilization campaign. Many in Ukraine hide from draft or even cross into neighboring countries to avoid it. The moral in the army is very low as for the most part Ukrainians don’t want to kill their brothers and sisters. But that doesn’t mean that these reluctant soldiers still can’t inflict new untold damage on the poor Donbass, while being threatened with their lives by the armed national guard nazis stationed behind them to watch their performance on battlefield. This is how ukro-nazis and their handlers turn the entire nation into killers.
The Donbass people are also worried that when NATO sees that Kiev army can’t accomplish the task of destroying the stubborn Donbass, they will start sending their own troops to Ukraine to squash Donbass. Interview with more in Russian.
I do see a problem with this scenario.
Looking into the future – as I said from the beginning of 2014 – Russia will not send troops to Ukraine, neither I see any possibility of a direct military confrontation between Russia and NATO/US.
That said, should NATO ILLEGALLY send troops to Ukraine, Russia will not sit idle. NATO/US simply won’t dare. Instead, they will continue making Russia’s life extremely difficult, inventing new acts of sabotage and false flags, trying to strangle Russian economy and the economy of Donbass, and do other despicable and vicious things they are masters of.
Another thing not to be discounted is Russian diplomacy. Lavrov and Putin are very hard at work trying to smooth out the situation. Larvov is diplomat from god – literally. His ability to create a more favorable reality cannot be underestimated.
Those readers who wrote to me that diplomacy is dead, think again. If not for Putin and Lavrov’s diplomacy last year, the world may have been tipped into the hot war already. Think of diplomacy as a way of resolving any crisis with much less blood and much cheaper than without it.
The worst case scenario will be avoided yet again. However, the festering wound that is Ukraine will remain until the people there are awakened sufficiently and until they take their power back. Unfortunately, this won’t happen for another year or two – at different times in each part of Ukraine. See Predictions for more.
The uprising leading to change has to mature internally. There is no other way. The people have started rising in key cities, such as Odessa, Zaporozhie, and especially, Kharkov. The Kharkov underground has made an announcement that they would be beginning an active stage this year, but that they also want to avoid the bloodshed and mistakes of Donbass. The new mass mobilization and plans to squash Donbass are undoubtedly related to this announcement and the most recent Odessa explosions.
Added! Video – Ukraine peace talks: Foreign Ministers of France, Germany, Russia & Ukraine finish meeting in Berlin. Includes announcement by Lavrov about the danger of mass mobilization and a new strike in Donbass!

Ohhh…seriously, I am getting a tiny bit tired reiterating time after time: ‘I TOLD YOU SO!’ From the beginning of the Ukraine crisis, in my articles about Ukraine, Germany and German Chancellor Merkel, I said time and again that Ukraine would never be admitted into the EU – and forget NATO. That US would try to push Ukraine’s memberships through, with no result whatsoever, except creating more animosity and crisis on European continent, which in fact is their goal to begin with. As usual, see much more in PREDICTIONS and related articles below.
I also said that after yelling and screaming (and sanctions), EU will cool off eventually and recall that really, truly, honestly…they want to be friends with Russia. Interesting how it happens every time the heating season starts in earnest.
On referenced video (watch on YT in Russian) – German Vice Chancellor Zigmar Gabriel: ‘Germany will never allow Ukraine to be admitted into NATO. US has been putting pressure on Germany, but on the Federal level at least such decision will not pass as this would destabilize the situation even further. Germany needs to do what Austria is suggesting – engage new channels for negotiations with Russia. Internal Ukraine conflict is aggravated by Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. Ukraine’s internal conflict cannot be solved without solving a conflict with Russia. It seems to me that we all in Europe, Germany can’t do it alone, have to formulate a new policy towards Russia. We are not giving up on the idea of a European Russia. We have to be united in this and we are very interested in Russia being a part of Europe. We can’t afford Europe’s division because of the Russia issue.’
Why has this statement from German VC appeared now? Division within Merkel’s ruling party? Are her own people angry at her? Perhaps to a degree. I’d be, if I were them. But even more so, I think these are the true underlying reasons:
1. Note, this statement is by Merkel’s underling. Merkel is on the hook with NSA, who have massive dirt on her after listening in on her phone conversations. This keeps her on a short leash. I wrote about that issue in a couple of earlier articles. This is why Merkel suddenly stopped demanding that German gold held (or rather, that ‘used to be held’) at the NY FED be repatriated. Besides, Merkel has already made so many aggressive and threatening remarks about Russia that she couldn’t possibly switch to a conciliatory tone – you need a fresh face to make a statement such as this.
2. Clearly, winter is upon us and all of a sudden Germany remembered why they need to try to be friends with Russia. That’s right, Gazprom and Russian gas.
3. Not only the population, but also German business class is rebelling. Merkel, reportedly is ‘tired of receiving calls from industrialists asking her to reverse anti-Russian sanctions.’
A few days ago a curious news crossed the wires. One of the prominent German industrialists who was a long-time donor of Merkel’s ruling Christian Democratic Union, announced he was forming a group of industrialists who would stop supporting Merkel and CDU and would instead invest in the opposition.
4. Ukraine in today’s configuration and with this government is a loose cannon, whose only desire and goal is siphoning as much money as possible from the EU and the West in general (since Russia refused to subsidize it any more), while Ukraine oligarchs, armed thugs and politicians continue the wholesale demolition and looting of the economy. The biggest donor to Ukraine would be Germany. For terrified Germany (and EU) Ukraine is becoming a financial weight that is dragging them to the bottom.
To me this outcome was clear from the beginning – question is, why wasn’t it clear to EU politicians? Those who haven’t yet, may want to check out: FREE Earth Shift Report 2: Ukraine, Russia and Falsified History.
5. EU today cannot exist peacefully and prosperously without good relations with Russia. Unfortunately, EU politicians are too slow or too sold-out to grasp any of this. They only start seeing the light when crisis is staring them personally in the eye. In my new video ProjectEarthShift 1:Universal Scale of Consciousness (life-diminishing calibrations 0-199) I explain how this works. The example I provide is Angela Merkel. Her calibration is 184 – the level of pride. On this level people (and countries) are so self-centered and so egotistical that they start acting only when there is a threat to their own stability. They are utterly disinterested in truth, justice and saving or helping others. Their moral and truth compass is so off that they see black as white and vice versa, until it hurts them personally.
There are a few politicians in the West that are different, one of them being Milos Zeman, President of the Czech Republic, who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Read: Desperate Obama, A Voice of Sanity from Czechia and Anti-Russian Sanctions. There are sane politicians in Germany too. They speak up against this madness, which only benefits the Anglo-American elites. Incidentally, it has been shown time and again by honest German journalists that German MSM is in bed with the US, doing their bidding by spreading propaganda.
By contrast, see what the world looks like, and what can be accomplished, when people calibrate at life-affirming levels: ProjectEarthShift 2: Universal Scale of Consciousness (life-affirming/ life-creating calibrations 200-1000).
6. The division and rebellion within the EU is growing. Czech and Hungarian leaders are making statements of dissent. Austria isn’t happy about sanctions. Finland said: don’t even come to us with sanctions any more. Greece, Italy and Spain are trying to quietly, on country to country level, circumvent sanctions. Serbia (non-EU, but being dragged in) said they were being pressured to join sanctions, but they wouldn’t.
7. And how do you like this precious latest bit! I seriously think you couldn’t invent it if you tried! Turns out the reason France couldn’t deliver the Mistral carriers to Russia, thus incurring billions in penalties and contract losses, as well as a loss of business credibility and future deals with Russia, is because POLAND leaned on France and made them forfeit. This incredible bit of news was confirmed by the Russian newscast Vesti on Channel 1 Russia. Is it because Poland is now so strong, or is it because France is becoming so weak? Recently, France had to swallow the insult from the US, when US fined BNP Paribas close to $10 bln for violating US sanctions. As my readers know, I call Poland one of the ‘US Trojan Horses in Europe.’
This is what a catastrophic loss of sovereignty looks like! It is when a country formerly considered one of the Great Powers would sacrifice national interests to please its boss. De Gaulle isn’t just turning – he is spinning in his grave. France is made to be an example and a warning for others. All this is being closely observed, and the alarm bells are going off in all EU capitals.
8. And here is the final, and very strong, worry for Germany and EU. They see that Russia is successfully pivoting to the EAST, again as I predicted from the beginning. Read more in Predictions and related articles. Since February-March, 2014 I said that ‘if Russians feel even slightly inconvenienced by sanctions, off to the East they go.’ Since then we saw Russia sign massive deals with China, Central Asian countries, Iran, South American countries. I also have predicted that EU will start experiencing gas shortages after Russia transitions to the new markets. This is confirmed by the latest news:
Just in! While in negotiations with Turkish President Erdogan, Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia withdraws from the South Stream project, which would supply gas directly to Europe bypassing Ukraine (also as predicted: I said, I believe in March, that South Stream wasn’t important to Russia any more and that she didn’t care if it continued or not). Putin announced together with Erdogan that instead, Russia will concentrate on expanding the gas pipeline to Turkey and in creating in Turkey and Greece an international gas hub for further gas deliveries elsewhere. Putin specifically said that if Europe isn’t interested in Russian gas, it will be sold to other countries, hinting at future gas shortages for the EU.
The above breaking news is noteworthy. I will either have a separate article about that, or I will include this in my upcoming THE PUTIN ENIGMA Report.
THE PUTIN ENIGMA REPORT IS COMING SOON.
I AM PRESENTLY WORKING ON IT, BUT WITH MANY OTHER THINGS GOING ON IN LIFE AND THE WORLD, IT IS TAKING ME A LITTLE LONGER TO COMPLETE. I WANT TO DO A VERY THOROUGH JOB. THE REPORT WILL DELVE BOTH INTO GEOPOLITICS AND INTO SOME VERY INTERESTING METAPHYSICS AND HIGHER REALMS.
IF YOU DON’T SEE ME ON THE BLOG FOR A FEW DAYS, IT MEANS I AM WORKING ON THE REPORT.
STAY TUNED! IT’S WORTH IT!

“There is no reason to pay for oil in dollars.” Christophe de Margerie, CEO of Total
October 21, 2014. Tragic news: The private transcontinental jet carrying Christophe de Margerie, CEO of the French oil and gas giant Total, crashed in Moscow Vnukovo-3 Airport. Vnukovo-3 isn’t your average overcrowded commercial outfit; it is an airport designed to receive the international VIPs and their private jets. The jet in question is Falcon 50, French made, cost $170-200 million. According to experts, it is one of the most reliable jets in existence, and it is designed for long-distance flights. Such a jet carrying a VIP such as Total’s CEO would be kept in excellent condition and the pilots would be top-notch. The crew on such jet is usually paid much more than commercial pilots.
What happened based on early reports: Moscow had a heavy snow aggravated by fog. Snow clearing ploughs were operating. The jet’s wing on take-off clipped the snow plough operating nearby, but the plane took off nevertheless. The driver of the plough was unharmed, but the Russian investigators announced that he was drunk. After 40 seconds in the air, the pilot sent distress call and attempted to land, but the plane burst in flames, killing all four aboard: three crew members and one passenger, Total CEO Christophe de Margerie. Here is a report about the main investigative points on RT Russia.
The questions investigators ask are: how could a drunk person be allowed to operate a snow plough? How could a dispatcher authorise a take-off with a plough present? What role did the snow and heavy fog play in all this? Did the pilot make a mistake? Did he, for example, drive off his course in the fog, resulting in the collision with the plough?
If I were them, I would also ask these questions: 1. Who and why gave the order to the snow plough operator to clean up the snow in the take-off area at that specific time? If the take-off area needed to be prepped first due to snow, then perhaps it was the correct order. Then, the Total jet needed to wait until the area was cleared of snow. Perhaps it was a lack of coordination between maintenance, dispatch, and the pilot? Did the pilot get pressured by the VIP to take off immediately, despite bad weather?
Also, I looked at the video with the plough operator and he seemed very shocked and distressed. One thing he didn’t seem at all was being drunk. Sure, the shock could have sobered him up, but I still have serious doubts he could have been that drunk. Summary of the event video, including the plough driver.
It appears Russian authorities decided to admit their fault even before the investigation and assign the blame internally due to the delicate political situation and in order to keep peace.
But let’s take a look at what went on behind the scenes geopolitically in the run-up to the event. What was the Total CEO doing in Moscow?
Total’s CEO Christophe de Margerie took a different position on world events, USA, and Russia than the prevailing neo-liberal position of his government. He was against USA interference and dictate in European affairs, and for the expanded cooperation with Russia.
Total is the French oil and gas giant, ranking #6 in the world. As a result of the US sanctions, primarily the ban on dollar-denominated loans to companies operating in Russia, American oil giant Exxon Mobil was recently forced to fold its joint operations in Russia’s north. This is a big hit for Exxon’s bottom line. The company announced that they didn’t want to leave and planned to return as soon as the sanctions were over.
At the very same time, Total, which took a position of defiance against the US and EU sanctions, re-affirmed its participation in Russian projects. Moreover, Total was negotiating stepping in and replacing Exxon and other Anglo-American companies in the $27 billion Yamal liquefied natural gas project, and possibly, in the Arctic oil project as well. To accomplish that, Total was planning on using a combined euro, ruble and yuan financing. Total was in the process of securing a Chinese financing to replace the American loans. At the bottom of this article you will find a telling quote from a NASDAQ article of 9/22/2014 about Total’s negotiations with the Chinese banks.
Total CEO was in Moscow to discuss and negotiate the expanded deal. He was scheduled to fly back to Paris at 12:10 am, after the meeting with Russian PM, Dmitry Medvedev.
Total management appears to indicate that nothing will change in Total’s position and plans in regards to Russia as these are long-term plans that get drawn for 20-40 years forward. However, having taken a bold bet on the expanded cooperation with Russia, Total’s CEO didn’t get the chance to groom a successor. “He planned to, but never got around to it.” This leads some experts to believe that now that Total’s CEO Christophe de Margerie is gone, the US will apply enormous pressure on the company to change its course towards Russia.
According to this expert (link to interview in Russian), “the death of Total’s CEO will impact the future not only of Total, but of the entire French economy.”
The above leads some to suspect a foul play in the death of Total’s CEO. Whether his death was the result of a tragic coincidence, poor coordination or bad weather, or whether a more sinister scenario was at play, the geopolitical circumstances paint a very different picture of the event than seems on the surface.
If we also take into account the other events: strange disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines flight over the Indian Ocean early this year and the recent MH17 false flag downing in Ukraine, the picture becomes even more tainted. We should also remember the strange recent failures of the Russian Proton-M cargo rockets. Strangely, all the failures of Russian rockets occurred when they were carrying foreign satellites . These rockets use American made electronics.
Incidentally, a new Proton-M rocket was just launched from the Baikonur in Kazakhstan without a hitch: the blast-off video. I could have predicted that there would be no problem with this launch because it was carrying a domestic Russian satellite. It should be clear that the reason only foreign satellite launches of Russian rockets fail is because someone is trying to discredit Russia as a reliable business partner. Before these mysterious recent failures, Russian space industry had no failures for over 40 years. I wrote about this problem in my prior articles, where I pointed out that in my opinion the reason behind failures was the Trojan software that could be activated or de-activated when necessary. Read more: Damning Eye-Witness Video of MH17 False Flag; Plus, Strange Failures of Russian Rockets.
Add to that the fact that since General De Gaulle, France has been one of the most pro-Russian countries in the EU, plus the fact that historically, France was more willing to do business with Russia than many other Western countries, often serving as a bridge between the West and Russia. France is supposed to deliver two Mistral carriers to Russia and if it doesn’t, it will be a huge loss for the French economy. Presently, US is putting enormous pressure on France not to deliver the Mistrals, which would result in a broken contract and huge penalties.
France’s BNP Paribas earlier this year already fell victim to the US sanctions, having to pay a $10 billion penalty, essentially bankrupting the bank. Various representatives of the French government and industry have been registering timid protests against EU’s US dollar dependence and US interference in the EU affairs. CEO of Total was a very influential voice in France for cooperation with Russia.
What does all the above have to do with the Total CEO jet crash in Moscow? Perhaps nothing, perhaps everything. Time will show.
One thing is very clear: the death of Total’s CEO Christophe de Margerie was against the interests of Russia, France, or Total itself.
One of the easy ways to damage a plane is sabotage. Who and why told the worker to snow-plough the take-off area at that time? Incidentally, the snow plough’s operator name is Vladimir Martinenko, a typical Ukrainian name. Is he from Ukraine, and what part thereof? How does he feel about what’s happening there? Where do his loyalties lie? Could he be bought, or convinced to do something illegal? These are all very good questions. He did survive the accident without a scratch, despite the plane’s wing getting so damaged by his plough that the jet burst into flames 40 seconds after takeoff. Does the plough operator’s name and origin have anything to do with the event? There are lots of Ukrainian citizens working in Russia, most in maintenance, cleaning, construction, driving and other blue-collar positions. Most Ukrainians are pro-Russian, but there are no guarantees. This may mean absolutely nothing, or it may mean everything. If I were investigating this occurrence, I would look into that.
Vladimir Markin, Head of the Central Investigative Commission of the Russian Federation, called the work of the airport authorities “sloppy,” and revealed the steps the investigation is taking. The snow plough driver has been arrested and the airport management may be temporarily suspended to prevent them from influencing the investigation. Interview.
Quote: Total Looks to China to Finance Russian Gas Project — 2nd Update
By Selina Williams. Published on nasqaq.com, 9/22/14 – Link to post.
“French oil major Total S.A. on Monday said it was in talks with Chinese banks to help fund a major natural-gas project in Russia in a move to get around tightening Western sanctions over Ukraine.
Chief Financial Officer Patrick de la Chevardière said the company was looking at financing its share in the $ 27 billion Yamal liquefied natural-gas project in Chinese yuan, Russian rubles and euros.
“The effect of U.S. sanctions was that Yamal LNG will be prevented from raising any dollar financing,” Mr. de la Chevardière told a news briefing in London. Total is developing the onshore Yamal project in Russia’s Arctic north with independent Russian gas producer OAO Novatek and China’s CNPC.
Total would first look for financing for Yamal from export credit agencies such as France’sCoface and Italy’s Sace and then add Chinese and Russian finance, Mr. de la Chevardière said.
Total’s move comes as U.S. oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. said last week is it winding down its drilling campaign in the Russian Arctic because of sanctions announced by the U.S. and European Union this month. The setback to Exxon’s $3.2 billion deal to explore for oil with Russia’s Rosneft in the Arctic could represent the biggest corporate casualty of sanctions so far.
Earlier this month, Russian officials said that restrictions on western technology for drilling in hard-to-reach areas such as the Arctic Sea could hurt future oil production if they persist.
Russia relies on oil and gas to provide the bulk of its revenues and Yamal is vital to Kremlin plans to increase the country’s share in the fast-growing global LNG market.
Total is in turn relying on Yamal, which is expected to start up in 2017, to provide a chunk of the French’s company’s future production growth. Yamal is estimated to hold proven reserves of 800 million barrels of oil equivalent.”
Predictions Coming True! Russia Pivots to Asia: Putin goes to Mongolia and Opens Power of Siberia Pipeline to China
I have said since February 2014 that should Russia feel even slightly inconvenienced by the US/EU sanctions or restrictive attitudes, off to the East they go. I pointed out that the immediate and sweeping result of any Western anti-Russian sanctions will be Russia’s decisive turning away from Europe and West in general, and focusing on Asia. I also warned that Europe will eventually start feeling the pinch, not to mention, the US dollar’s demise will be expedited.
And here it is!
Since May 2014, Putin already signed mega-deals with China, including the Holy Grail multi-year gas deal and various trade, transportation, and tourism deals. Eurasian Union with Belarus and Kazakhstan (Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tadzhikistan on the standby) was officially formed. Eurasian Union will be gradually expanding and it will be interesting to see when the stampede to join the EAU starts. I have some predictions about that, which I may share with all eventually. Add to that all the trade deals Putin signed in Latin America – another region symbolizing the ‘global South’ and the alternative to the US; the increasing drive by various coutries to ditch US dollar in bi-lateral trade and the formation of the BRICS Bank to counter IMF; Russia developing its own credit system + joining the Chinese credit system, while phasing out Visa and MC (also as predicted).
1. Putin and China’s First VP have inaugurated the largest pipeline in the world «Сила Сибири» – the POWER OF SIBERIA. This pipeline will send gas to China from Russia starting 2019. This is the largest construction project in the world. Video link. 3:23 Putin signs the pipeline.
2. Yesterday, Vladimir Putin also visited Mongolia – see the video below.
Some quotes and my thoughts: “Putin was greeted in Mongolia by the crowds gathered along the entire length of his route from the airport to the capital, Ulan-Bator. Putin and Mongolian president Elbegdorzh met as old friends – this is their third meeting this year. Discussed were: the possibility of the Power of Siberia pipeline going through Mongolia, which is the shortest distance to China.”
Therefore, Mongolia may become the Russian gas transit country! Can you imagine the volume of gas to China? The gas transit fees will really boost Mongolia’s tiny GDP!
“The visa regime between Mongolia and Russia is being cancelled. Russian Railways will be modernizing the Mongolian railroads.”
Railroads are very important in these parts and they have to stay very much “up to speed” as they constitute the best way to get around most of Asia, including Siberia, Mongolia and China.
“In addition, the Mongolian president asked Russia to remove restrictions on agricultural produce imports from Mongolia.”
These restrictions have been put in place when US attempted to make Mongolia its semi-colony. However, this trend has now been reversed, as it’s being reversed elsewhere on post-Soviet space. It appears Russia will again allow Mongolian agricultural products provided they adhere to the Russian health codes/norms.
Sure enough – exactly as I predicted in my earlier articles about Russian agricultural sanctions and re-orientation to the East and Latin America, there is a stampede to take over the food/agricultural shelf space lost by Europeans in Russian super-markets. Take a number – now interviewing candidates…
Mongolians still remember very well how the Red Army and the still young Russian commander Zhukov (future Marshall Zhukov, credited primarily with winning WWII) demolished Japanese troops in the battle of Khalkhin Ghol, thus saving the unprepared Mongolia from Japanese invasion. In 1937-45, China wasn’t this lucky.
See Ulan-Bator city footage – 2:30; monument to Marshall Zhukov considered a national hero of Mongolia/veterans/ Zhukov house memorial – 2:45. Mongolian military singing Russian song Den Pobedi (Victory Day) – 3:32.
On a more personal note: Mongolia is a country with a spacious territory and small population that for as long as I can remember had very strong and close ties with Russia. Mongolians always spoke Russian well, and they still do. When I started school, we had several Mongolian students in my class who were sent to Russia to study foreign languages. They spoke Russian practically with no accent whatsoever. One of them was very upset that she was told by her government to study Spanish, instead of her preferred English. Her Russian was awesome though. As soon as she graduated, she became her government’s interpreter from Russian, making a pretty good career. I was living in the West by then and I lost touch with my former classmates, but once in the 1990s I was watching TV news from Russia and I noticed her translating for the Mongolian president who was meeting in the Kremlin with Boris Yeltsin. Not bad for a little girl from Mongolia! I can only boast of translating in a meeting with Fidel Castro. 😉
P.S. While this is happening in Asia and Russia, France has announced that they have suspended the delivery of the first two Mistral helicopter carriers to Russia over Ukraine. Of course, who would have doubted they would be pressured by the US and EU! It will be a huge financial loss for France, although of course they will try to wait it out, hoping the tide changes and they can still fulfil the contract.
I sympathise with France and even with Hollande, although I think France deserves better. But – well – where is Charles De Gaulle, with his courage and independent policies, when you need him? The pressure is enormous, and unfortunately, it will continue, as I said in my many previous articles. Can’t give you any good news here – sorry. The pressure/threats/arm twisting/scare tactics against individual EU countries that attempt to do business and be friendly to Russia will continue until the people of Europe decide that enough is enough and muster their courage to stop being a US colony.
A new comment left by the FuturisTrendcast reader from France in PREDICTIONS: “Now unfortunately my government is a US lap dog too but fortunately my compatriots are not. I was amazed to see how many of them understand the US game and recognize its falsehoods. I really hope that the time you said Russia needs to buy, will bring us justice! Pls. let’s avoid a Worldwar III for the sake of our children and other beloved ones! By the way; the Sochi Olympics were great; everything progressed so smoothly!”
Another interesting article and another great episode from Lada Ray Live is coming shortly. Stay tuned!
Poland has been firmly in bed with the USA for years. I call Poland, together with the neighboring Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, the “Trojan Horses of the US in Europe.” Polish government has been known to support the Kiev maidan and the ousting of president Yanukovich. Polish officials both former and present, including former president of Poland, made ardent speeches on Kiev maidan, expressing extreme anti-Russian views and fostering hatred towards anything Russian.
The Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski was always considered anti-Russian and pro-American. In the 1980s he was fighting in Afghanistan on the American and the Taliban side against the Soviet forces and Afghanistan government. Since then, he exchanged his gun for the diplomatic suit, becoming an exemplary US Trojan Horse…
All of a sudden, it turns out Sikorski has been saying officially not exactly what he’s been thinking, and doing not exactly what he’s been wanting to do. The leaked tape published by a Polish publication shows Sikorski speaking with a former colleague. In the tape he says that Poland has been giving ‘the Americans a blow job’ for years in return for nothing. This, says Sikorski, has lulled Poles into a false sense of security. Meanwhile, Poland is sacrificing for the sake of the relationship with the USA the most important relationships it has, those with Russia and Germany – creating enemies out of neighbors.
Indeed, Polish ultra-nationalism has been completely out of control for years, both on state, and every day, level. It is very visible in the media and in the statements of politicians. Polish ultra-nationalists sometimes turn violent. A couple of years ago during the football World Cup in Poland, the Polish mob attacked Russian fans. As a result, many received injuries.
In light of all this, the leaked tape is quite scandalous and revealing. As such, it has made the first pages of all Polish publications.
Sikorski went on Western TV to deny that he ever said anything of the sort. While denying the tape, he nevertheless stated that the “Old World” has to unite, and stop listening to America. Europe has to decide its own policy and take care of its own security; it has to stop relying on the US.
This seems like a shocking and almost revolutionary statement coming from a Polish politician. It is known that 48% of the Polish population disapprove of the pro-American government of Donald Tusk. We all remember a scandal when it turned out that Polish territory was used (still is?) by the CIA for its illegal prisons. It is known that Polish territory is widely used by the US and UK to train opposition bloggers, pro-Western media, NGO and Fifth Column specialists, who would then go to their respective countries to undermine regimes US wants changed. These specialists are primarily trained for Russia. We also see the results of their handiwork in today’s Ukraine. Of course, they also infiltrate Belarus, Baltics, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, as well as Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, etc. The main goal of the Fifth Column is to promote “American and Western values” and undermine – read bash, malign, vilify – Russia; to foster hatred towards Russia, re-write history and create animosity. They must do very good business.
Can it be that the realization of what Poland has turned itself into is slowly dawning on the natives? Could it be that some Poles are beginning to realize at least some truth? Let’s hope so. Although after 20+ years of Poland’s sleeping with the devil, I am understandably cautious about such supposition…
In any event, I do strongly suspect that Poles are secretly terrified of the monster they helped create in Ukraine, together with the US and EU. They probably are shocked (if I were them, I would be) at what became of Ukraine after they had actively trained and financed the opposition, including the ukro-nazi ‘right sector’ militants. Those same nazis that burned people alive in Odessa, and those who kill people in Donbass. Poland still maintains a claim on part of western Ukraine with the capital in Lvov. The ‘right sector’ are the descendants of the Hitler era ukro-fascists from SS Division Galichina, the so-called ‘banderovtsi,’ who killed hundreds of thousands of Poles in western Ukraine. I don’t know how any decent Polish people can possibly feel good about what ukro-nazis are doing today.
I had several Polish friends and I had been to Poland at least four times. But this was over 20 years ago. At the time, I didn’t notice any anti-Russian sentiment or animosity; quite the opposite – my Polish friends were always extremely warm and hospitable. In this regard, I didn’t feel any different than in Russia. Poles were always opinionated and high-strung, but they were still a great company to hang out with. I very much enjoyed our friendship – we had a lot in common, much more than Poles admit to themselves today. Yes, there were some historic tensions, but they were kept in check by the conscious efforts of both sides to remember similarities before differences.
All this ended in the 1990s. Differences and problems is what USA exploits best. This is the old, time-tested strategy of divide and conquer. Once American NGOs moved in, and once the willing politicians were found, who did everything the US told them to do, Poland became progressively more and more anti-Russian and pro-American. Remember the 2003 Iraq invasion and the “coalition of the willing” the US formed out of its vassals through threats and coercion? Poland was a very willing part of it.
For many Russians, what appeared to be a sudden Polish turn to Rusophobia caused a shock similar to what they had experienced when they woke up one day to discover that Ukrainians became anti-Russian practically overnight. This shock wasn’t as painful; after all, Poles are not as close to Russians as Ukrainians are. And of course this didn’t happen overnight – it took about 10-15 years to nurture this hatred. The work started still in the 1980s and culminated in the early 2000s. Not every country succumbed to propaganda. Bulgarian, Serbian and Slovakian people, no matter how much anti-Russian propaganda is dumped on them, remain pro-Russian; but unfortunately, not their governments.
Poland succumbed very easily. In Ukraine it took a bit longer, but not by much.
Hatred destroys something very important in people’s hearts and minds. Can the trust be rebuilt? Perhaps. Russians tend to forgive easily. I don’t know about Poles. In any event, looks like the wind is changing and people are starting to come to their senses. Let’s just say I am cautiously optimistic. I have to say, it will take much longer, and much more evidence, to change my present scepticism regarding Poland into something truly positive.
After years of… how do I say it without getting into the sex terminology… umm… In other words, of doing you-know-what with the US, Poland is finally acknowledging what has been obvious to others. Poland’s future is in cooperation, not confrontation, with Russia and Germany, among other neighboring countries. It’s future isn’t so much in bed with someone’s uncle from across the Atlantic.
Sometimes a leaked tape is not a bomb, but rather a political signal. The conversation in question actually happened in the beginning of 2014, but the tape was only leaked a few days ago. I believe that Poland is ready for regime and political wind change. The leaked tape by Polish FM, a known Rusophobe, serves as a signal meant for Russia and Germany, as well as France, that Poland will play ball.
Considering how actively Poland was pushing US agenda in Europe for years, oftentimes clashing and overriding its bigger neighbors France and Germany, this is an interesting signal. Will it amount to anything, or will “uncle” McCain now appear in Warsaw, as he just recently materialized in Sofia, after which Bulgaria promptly froze its participation in the Russian South Stream pipeline project? Or they could send Victoria Nuland to “subvert” Poland, like she did with Ukraine. It does appear very easy for the US to scare any “European leader” into doing the US bidding.
Let’s see for a moment what’s happening in the EU. France announced that it will deliver two Mistral carriers to Russia over the US objections; one of the major French banks formed a partnership with Russia and is ready to pay $8bln in sanctions to the US for doing business with Russia. US is putting a lot of pressure on France regarding anti-Russian sanctions. The French are very angry at the US. They are suffering massive business losses because of these sanctions.
It helps that Marine Le Pen won Europarliament elections, defeating the incumbent French president Hollande’s Socialist Party. I predicted Marine Le Pen rise back in 2012, in the same article where I predicted Sarkozy’s presidential election loss and Hollande’s win. I also said that Hollande is likely to fail the deeply cherished desires of his voters, and could eventually lose to Marine Le Pen. See my 2012 France predictions: 2012 Predictions Update: French Elections and Eurozone.
Incidentally, watch Marine Le Pen! She is only warming up. I see her as the only hope for constructive change in Europe this decade. Considering Angela Merkel has completely dropped the ball, and most others are bought-and-paid-for, she is the only big politician who can really influence the whole Europe.
Speaking of Germany. As I said before, it reminds me of a deer caught in the headlights. In one of my previous articles about Merkel I said that she is scared of something, possibly of the responsibility she can’t handle, but also possibly, of some scandals that can come out – remember, she was (still is?) the subject of a massive NSA surveillance. What secrets of hers did NSA record during their illegal wire-tapping? On this blog we deal with facts. One such fact is that at times, Merkel acts as if she is on the US payroll. Otherwise, how does one explain her latest statement that the German gold is perfectly fine at the NY FED? Merkel withdrew Germany’s request that US delivers some of German gold it holds in trust for Berlin. That’s after US failed to deliver more than 5 tons out of 1400 tons of gold it holds in trust for Germany, practically admitting to the entire world that all foreign gold has been squandered! Why would Merkel do that? Blackmail and threats come to mind.
At the same time, German business has been screaming bloody murder over the anti-Russian sanctions. A quiet revolt is brewing in Germany and some other EU countries.
Slowly, Europe is starting to muster a tiny bit of courage to express its desires. This incredible timidness demonstrates vividly how much Europe really is under the US thumb.
Even American companies are starting to seriously worry that US anti-Russian sanctions will undermine American economy. US-Russia annual trade is only $20bln. Russia-EU trade is $420bln. If US companies are protesting, imagine what EU companies feel!
Of course, it’s easy for the US to manipulate Europe for historic reasons. Having started two World Wars in the 20th century alone, western Europe is mortally terrified of a new massive conflict on the continent. They don’t trust themselves, it seems. Remember what I said – fear, greed and other lowly emotions is what US exploits best. Therefore, Europeans have to snap out of their fearful ‘deer caught in the headlights’ mode and start behaving on the level of reason! Only then the situation can be resolved.
Just yesterday, US Secretary of State John Kerry again threatened Russia. He said that Russia must disarm(!) rebels in eastern Ukraine, otherwise there will be a new round of sanctions. He probably means that Putin MUST go to Ukraine and PERSONALLY disarm anyone who US disapproves of, to please Kerry, Obama, McCain, and other imbeciles in Washington. That does not concern ukro-nazis from the ‘right sector,’ because these SOBs are “US approved” SOBs.
Can anyone even begin to imagine the level of imbecilism of the idiots like Kerry? I think he attended Harvard? Bravo, he totally lives up to the elite American ivy-league education!
Jokes aside, the Washington idiots are extremely dangerous because they are holding the financial and military levers, through which they can ruin any country they please. The US is threatening to block Russia from using the SWIFT system – the US and petro-dollar controlled international system of payments, which is the world monopoly. Just imagine the levers in the US hands! US can threaten any country to be cut off from SWIFT, resulting in a serious damage to that country’s economy. What a perfect blackmail position! As an example, Iran is cut off from SWIFT as part of US-imposed sanctions.
No single country must be allowed to hold such unfair advantage over others.
SWIFT is what a country uses to pay for imports and international trade. If Russia cannot use SWIFT, she can’t sell gas to Europe. To this day, Russia sells gas to Europe for dollars(!), despite trying to transition to rubles for years. Do you know why they can’t? Because US is putting huge pressure on the EU. If Russia is suddenly cut off from SWIFT monopoly, it can be catastrophic for both Russian and EU economies. Russia would be forced to halt the gas flow until EU agrees to pay Russia in rubles. This will take time, and massive sabotage by the US has to be expected.
The way gas pipelines work is that the pipe has to maintain a substantial pressure in oder for gas to continue flowing. This is achieved by a number of measures. If you stop gas flow cold turkey, it’s very hard and expensive to re-start it. That’s why Gazprom prefers not to do it. Turning off the switch is a very cumbersome and costly proposition.
EU countries will be threatened not to agree to the ruble-based trade. It is clear why: this is a direct threat to the dollar. If dollar collapses, this threatens the very existence of the US Empire. Of course, the collapse of the dollar is a matter of when, not if. But US will be trying to delay it for as long as possible. As I discussed many times before, US will try to drag down with it everyone it can. Russia is first on the list. EU – including Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and poor Poland, too – second.
Next, US will say: see, we told you so! Russia is a very unreliable business partner. It stopped the flow of gas to Europe, just as we warned you! Instead, we will sell you OUR OWN shale gas! We are your old allies and biggest partners. We are all a part of NATO! Work with the US! And if you don’t… And then, there will be threats, which may, or may not, convince the EU countries to fall in line.
What will happen next: EU economy will be undermined. Russian economy will be undermined. Who wins? US and Canada, as it happens every time there is a war or crisis on the European continent. I have warned about this same in my previous articles. The saga continues.
On a more optimistic side:
Austria just signed a deal with Russia to build the Austrian section of South Stream. In an interview a few days ago, a Hungarian journalist said that in truth, everyone in Eastern Europe wants to have Gazprom pipeline go through their territory. This provides lots of badly needed jobs, money flows into the country, gas gets cheaper; there are many other benefits, including possible future projects with Russia. But at that very moment, Uncle Sam comes in and starts steamrolling through these small countries, intimidating and buying up politicians and businesses. Call it US mafia, invasion, or slavery – it doesn’t get any less disgusting.
Other moderate positives: Czechia and Slovakia said they will not place US AMD missiles on their territory, directed against Russia. Hungary has been vocal against some of the policies they don’t like in the EU, including the Ukraine crisis. Although Hungarians succumbed to the pressure to stay in the EU, these first timid steps can be considered an attempt to regain sovereignty. By how a country behaves in such circumstances we can easily see how much independence and sovereignty this country has.
For example recently, Senator McCain visited Bulgaria, after which Bulgaria promptly announced that it was freezing its participation in the South Stream project with Russia (gas pipeline being built to bypass the uncertainty of Ukraine in order to deliver Russian gas directly to southern and central Europe). This pipeline would be a life-line for the fledgling Bulgarian economy. Therefore, such announcement after the McCain visit means only one thing: Bulgaria has no sovereignty whatsoever. It does what its masters in Washington tell it to do. Romania agreeing to place American AMDs on its territory, despite Russia’s objections, is another indication of the same.
In this regard, we can see clearly how little sovereignty Poland has, if in order to signal the change, they need to resort to a leaked tape. Still, better than nothing…
Therefore, I am making this cautiously optimistic prediction: Europe is waking up little by little. The US influence in Europe is slowly waning. Russia and EU must, and will, continue getting closer. US will try to sabotage this process, so brace yourselves.
Here is my advice to the EU politicians and media. If you are scared, remember this: US can only cause trouble and get to you, if you yourselves have ulterior motives, or if you are not acting in good faith. They are masters of exploiting fear, anger and greed. Don’t allow them access to these lowly emotions. Plus, work with, not against, Russia – and there is nothing they’ll be able to do.
For as long as I can look back, Russia has always carried the biggest load, and paid a disproportionately heavy price for getting the world back into balance. Russia single-handedly won WWII (allies only opened the second front in 1944, when it wasn’t necessary any more as Soviet troops had already chased Hitler almost back to Germany). Peace prevailed, but 27 million Soviet people had to die for that; the country was practically destroyed. I was just having a discussion with a Chinese friend. I reminded him that if not for Russia, Chinese might have been speaking Japanese today. It was only thanks to Russia’s massive help, know-how, troops, equipment and money that Chinese were able to liberate their country from brutal Japanese occupation during WWII.
For years, Russia had been the No.1 exporter of talent and brains. The rise of the US science, art and sport is all thanks to the emigration from Russia, as well as other countries. For example, one of Google founders is from Russia. How many Russian scientists emigrated to the US since 1990s (thanks to Soros grants)? I lived in Princeton for many years. The entire famed Princeton University’s Institute for Advanced Studies, where Einstein worked, is staffed with Russians. How many Russian classical musicians and ballet dancers have elevated the art in the West? The rise of the American and European gymnastics and figure skating is all due to Russian athletes and coaches, some of whom I have known personally. Russian oligarchs – fronts for Rothschilds, BP, Exxon and others – siphoned enormous wealth out of the country and passed it on to their Western bosses, thus enriching the West and impoverishing Russia (and Ukraine too).
Now, Russia and Putin are trying to keep peace, when US is trying to drag the world into the last war, and Europe is timidly hiding behind mommy’s skirt.
Enough already! Start taking responsibility for your own future, people!
This is in addition to my earlier predictions on this topic, which you can find on my Predictions page, as well as previous articles.
RT video about the Polish FM leaked tape: ‘Gave the Americans a blow job for nothing’: Polish FM in tape leak scandal
On June 6, leaders of various European countries met in France for the 70th anniversary of the 1944 Normandy landing during WWII. Among others present were Russian President Vladimir Putin, US president Barack Obama and president-elect of the Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. In his usual diplomatic manner Russian President Vladimir Putin gave an interview to the French press at his Sochi residence before his visit to France.
Overall, I believe the French President Francois Hollande has to be commended for inviting President Vladimir Putin. France in general often plays a role of a connector between Russia and the West, and it seems Hollande wants to continue in the footsteps of his predecessors. Even Sarkozy managed to play this role in 2008 during the Georgia crisis, although Francois Mitterrand and Charles De Gaulle were undeniably much better at this. But of course it was also during those times when France was still a sovereign and independent state that wasn’t a part of NATO. Very diplomatically, President Putin hints at that during the interview.
Hollande faced a logistical challenge during Putin’s and Obama’s visit, as the US president Obama seems to be unable to handle being in the same room with Putin. Can’t bear looking him in the eye after what US has done in Ukraine (like spending $5bln+ to destabilize Ukraine as publicly admitted by Victoria #Nuland)? Or resenting that Putin again outsmarted him (as in the case of Crimea, which US planned on turning into a massive US military base against Russia, but failed)? Most likely – both. See Hilarious! Putin – Obama Split Screen at 70th D-Day Anniversary in France
To keep Putin and Obama separate, Hollande was ready to eat two dinners. He hosted two dinners in one night – one for Obama, another for Putin, which for a French may not be a problem.
But jokes aside, as I predicted, EU finds itself on some serious crossroads of history. EU has massive past relations with the US – economically, politically and militarily. But more and more people in the EU are realizing that their future lies in distancing themselves from the US and getting closer to Russia and the East.
This appears to be the first time a Russian President is attending this event held each year in France. In diplomatic terms such invitation is a signal that, despite tough rhetoric and cancelling of the G8 meeting in Sochi due to events in Ukraine, the EU leaders want to continue talking to Russia.
This confirms what I’ve talked about from the very beginning of the Ukraine crisis. EU is realizing – very slowly and reluctantly – that it is facing a major historic choice. We are going through a tectonic shift of directions and priorities, and of course the EU doesn’t want to give up its cushy and stable past, which it believes, it has earned during the past 70 years of relative peace on the European continent. Europe sees the unfolding crisis of the Western world and fears what the future may bring. However, holding on to the past effectively means siding with the dying dollar and crumbling US Empire. This means that the EU would have to give up its cushy past no matter how hard they try to hang on to it.
This also means that the future for the EU lies in closer integration with Russia and the East. Despite the logic and necessity of such actions, the EU is agonizing over switching gears. It seems paralyzed at the moment due to the massive political, economic and military pressures from the US, and partially from the UK.
However, the UK is at its own crossroads. Britain faces its own economic crisis, Scotland secession, and rising euro-scepticism. Interestingly enough, some in the UK would like to distance themselves from the US even more so than the rest of Europe. Moreover, the win of the euro-skeptics in the euro-parliament elections, indicates that the UK is poised to distance itself from the EU as well.
Unfortunately, 2/3 of the European politicians and media side with the US, while the EU business prefers Russia. In fact, the EU business is screaming bloody murder as the threat of sanctions against Russia makes Russia turn more and more decisively towards Asia. As a consequence, EU companies may be squeezed out of the Russian market, losing billions in investment.
Russian rep to the EU, Vladimir Chizhov says that EU companies are begging Russia not to adopt return sanctions against the EU, motivating it this way: “we are already losing a lot of money from the EU sanctions against Russia, Russia’s return sanctions will be really bad for us.” Hmm… What Russia is losing is not their concern obviously. Sounds grotesque, right? Source – interview by V. Chizhov: Чижов: Европейские компании просят Россию не применять против ЕС ответных санкций
Make no mistake: the consequence of weakening of the European economy, along with Russian, is undoubtedly intended by the US.
Eventually, the EU will have no choice but to get closer to Russia and Asia, and distance itself gradually from the US. This will be a very slow and reluctant process. EU will not want to do anything drastic that may lead to a confrontation with the US. Let’s remember, Europe is an occupied continent. There are 50,000 US troops in Germany alone. EU fears destabilization more than anything else, and it cannot afford any conflict with the US.
US knows that long-term the EU is poised to distance itself from its old Transatlantic ally. It’s a historic process, which cannot be avoided. US knows that it may be marginalized – and it fears being isolated. This is why US is desperate to delay the inevitable by binding EU to itself via the Transatlantic agreement; increasing US troop count in the EU; forcing on the EU its expensive shale gas, extracted via barbaric fracking, which harms the environment and decimates the American land; and by demanding from the EU more sanctions against Russia.
To get the US off its back, EU adopted some token sanctions against a number of Russian individuals. But the US keeps demanding economic sanctions, which are bound to harm the EU economy. Contrary to its usually politically meek and conciliatory position, the EU’s large business is sending SOS signals that by pressuring the EU into economic sanctions, the US companies are trying to weaken their European competitors.
Examples are the restrictions on the Russian gas supply to the EU, which, due to the Trojan horses of the US in Europe, such as Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, have partially succeeded. One example is the constant turmoil with the Russian gas transit via Ukraine. The US deep interference in Ukraine and continuing prodding of the Kiev junta to act in an aggressive manner towards Donbass, Odessa and other Russian-speaking regions, is part of the US plan of destabilizing Ukraine and sabotaging Russian gas supply to Europe, thus damaging both Russian and European economies.
Another example is the EU insistence on minimizing the flow of gas though the Gazprom Opal pipeline designed to bypass Ukraine. To any independent observer it would seem logical that if the flow of gas to Europe through Ukraine is under constant threat, then it would be logical to bypass Ukraine. Despite that, Opal runs only at 50% capacity.
US insists that France must cancel the delivery of the two Mistral carriers they are supposed to deliver this year to Russia. They go as far as suggesting NATO should buy these carriers to partially cover France’s losses from the broken multibillion euro contract. What this will do to France-Russia relations, the potentiality of future contracts, and to France’s economy… this is not the concern of the US. Or rather, it is precisely the concern of the US – US would love to damage France-Russia relations!
As I said many times previously, driving a wedge between Western Europe and Russia, sabotaging Russian and EU relations and economies are very important goals of the US foreign policy.
Understanding all that, Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to visit France, where during the Normandy event he had an opportunity to meet privately with various EU leaders. The true value of events such as these is that the country leaders can meet on the sidelines and discuss any important and pressing matters candidly and quietly. Without such meetings, there would be much less interaction, and hence understanding, between leaders. In order to foster understanding, constant communication and interaction is as necessary between states as it is necessary among ordinary people.
The fact that Putin has attended the event in France signals that the EU quietly wants to work with Russia, although overtly it is afraid to anger the big boss. Hence two different dinners.
Grotesque and sad, isn’t it? But to avoid international confrontation, it’s still better than the alternative.
Below are the best quotes of Putin’s interview, as well as the link to the video of the full interview. The French journos were rude and aggressive, attempting to trip Putin, which of course didn’t work. I would have liked to see them try talking like this to Obama or Merkel. The interview would have been cancelled in no time. Obama’s questions are always very carefully vetted ahead of time, and a journalist can’t deviate an inch from the script.
Putin looked relaxed, and at times amused, as the French journos kept interrupting himself and each other.
On that note, someone recently “accused” me of being a “Putin admirer.” I find that amusing. Some people’s tiny understanding of how the world works really amazes me. I’m not into “admiring” of any humans, although I respect some.
What I do admire is this: the natural beauty of our planet Earth and the Harmony, Beauty and Truth in general.
Putin is not my boyfriend to be in love with. When it comes to statesmen, I assess them according to the intention and results of their work. If they are doing what a statesman is supposed to do, then they earn my respect; if they fall short, I cannot respect them. Then for me, they are not “statesmen.” They become mere politicians, and that’s what most of them are.
After observing Putin’s actions for years, he has earned my respect of the highest order. He is the only leader of the modern world who makes perfect sense and who is not afraid to stand up to the Western aggression going hand in hand with the unreasonable and juvenile behavior. And he does it in such a way that the world keeps spinning, despite frantic attempts by certain powerful interests to start WWIII. Putin manages to pull wins out of the seemingly no-win situations, check-mating his opponents against all odds, and doing it without any bloodshed. Compare that to how USA acts!
This is because Putin is not only much more than a politician – he is also much more than a statesman. Of that I will talk in one of my future pieces.

Putin’s best quotes from French media talk
Edited time: June 05, 2014 12:08
Vladimir Putin faced a barrage of tricky questions from French media ahead of his meeting with world leaders at the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Here are his best replies on key issues: Ukraine, Crimea and relations with the US.
On Ukraine, its sovereignty and Russian troops:
The ongoing crisis in Ukraine has been occupying the center of international attention since the end of last year. While the coup-appointed government in Kiev is carrying out a military crackdown on the southeast of the country, the US said that Russian troops are allegedly involved in the crisis and they have proof of that.
“What about proof? Why don’t they show it?” Putin told French media.
“The entire world remembers the US Secretary of State demonstrating the evidence of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, waving around some test tube with washing powder in the UN Security Council. Eventually, the US troops invaded Iraq, Saddam Hussein was hanged and later it turned out there had never been any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. You know – it’s one thing to say things and another to actually have evidence.”
“After the anti-constitutional coup in Kiev in February, the first thing the new authorities tried to do was to deprive the ethnic minorities of the right to use their native language. This caused great concern among the people living in eastern Ukraine.”
“I wouldn’t call them either pro-Russian or pro-Ukrainian. They are people who have certain rights, political, humanitarian rights, and they must have a chance to exercise those rights.”
“When [the coup] happened some people accepted this regime and were happy about it while other people, say, in eastern and southern Ukraine just won’t accept it.”
On Crimea, its referendum and historical ties to Russia:
After Crimea voted in its March referendum to join Russia, the West voiced concerns that the people in the region voted at gunpoint.
“Russian troops were in Crimea under the international treaty on the deployment of the Russian military base. It’s true that Russian troops helped Crimeans hold a referendum 1) on their independence and 2) on their desire to join the Russian Federation. No one can prevent these people from exercising a right that is stipulated in Article 1 of the UN Charter, the right of nations to self-determination.”
“We conducted an exclusively diplomatic and peaceful dialogue – I want to stress this – with our partners in Europe and the United States. In response to our attempts to hold such a dialogue and to negotiate an acceptable solution, they supported the anti-constitutional state coup in Ukraine, and following that we could not be sure that Ukraine would not become part of the North Atlantic military bloc. In that situation, we could not allow a historical part of the Russian territory with a predominantly ethnic Russian population to be incorporated into an international military alliance, especially because Crimeans wanted to be part of Russia.”
One journalist asked the president whether he wants to recreate the old borders of the Soviet Union.
“We want to use modern policies to improve our competitive advantage, including economic integration. This is what we are doing in the post-Soviet space within the Customs Union and now also within the Eurasian Union.”
On US relations and its aggressive foreign policies:
“Speaking of US policy, it’s clear that the United States is pursuing the most aggressive and toughest policy to defend its own interests – at least, this is how the American leaders see it – and they do it persistently.”
“There are basically no Russian troops abroad while US troops are everywhere. There are US military bases everywhere around the world and they are always involved in the fates of other countries, even though they are thousands of kilometers away from US borders.”
“So it is ironic that our US partners accuse us of breaching some of these rules,” Putin said, apparently referring to Hillary’s Clinton’s statement on Russia’s foreign policy in Eastern Europe, comparing it with Hitler’s in the 1930s.
“When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.”
On Russia, defense, sovereignty, and opposition parties:
Amid the tensions concerning the latest $1.6 billion military deal that France will supply Russia with two Mistral helicopter carriers, Putin said he hopes the two countries will continue to develop their ties.
“Overall, our relations in this area are developing well, and we would like to continue strengthening them – in aviation, shipbuilding, and other sectors.”
“A policy of expansionism and conquest has no future in the modern world. We’re confident that Russia can and should be a partner with its traditional allies, in the broad sense, now and also in the future.”
“Any country that becomes a member of a military alliance gives away some of its sovereignty to a supranational body. For Russia, this would be unacceptable. As for other countries, it has nothing to do with us. They have to decide such matters for themselves.”
“And there’s another example: François Mitterrand, who spoke of European confederation, with Russia as its member. I think this opportunity still exists and we will have it in the future.”
Speaking about internal policies Putin said that Russia is a common democratic state and its “current regime is not connected to any particular person”
“The overwhelming majority of Russian citizens tend to rely on their traditions, their history and, if I may say so, their traditional values. I see this as the foundation and a factor of stability in the Russian state, but none of this is associated with the President as an individual. Moreover, it should be remembered that we only started introducing standard democratic institutions recently. They are still in the process of evolving.”
“Some of our opponents say there are unacceptable restrictions. What kind of restrictions do we have? For example, we have banned the promotion of suicide, drugs and pedophilia. These are our restrictions. What’s wrong with that?”
“In the United States, since we talked about it, homosexuality is illegal in some states. We impose no criminal liability whatsoever. We banned only promoting homosexuality among minors. It is our right to protect our children and we will do it.”
