Ungrateful Europe. What would have happened should we push Hitler back just to our borders
As part of my 70 YEARS OF THE GREAT VICTORY MARATHON, I am posting this excellent translation of a Russian article by our reader and blogger Nemo (Stanislav).

What would have happened should we push Hitler back just to our borders
On a personal note, I know what would have happened in my life if that’s all Russians did:
I, FOR ONE, WOULD HAVE GROWN UP KNOWING MY GRANDPARENTS!

Happy Victory Day, Fr. Merkel! My Open Postcard to the German Chancellor
Below is a translation from Russian of two historical articles, published in Argumenty i Fakty on the 3rd of April 2015. The main article was written by Georgij Zotov. A subsequent expert opinion is presented by historian Rudolph Pihoj.
On the eve of the 70th anniversary of Victory “AiF” tried to imagine: what would the map of Europe look like, had USSR not given thousands of kilometres of territories as present to those countries that now call us occupiers. And if they would give up these lands now.
Wroclaw – one of the most touristic cities of Poland. Crowds with cameras are everywhere, there’s not a spare spot in the expensive restaurants, taxi drivers ask for ungodly prices. At the entrance to the marketplace there waves a banner saying “Wroclaw – a real Polish charm!”. All seems fine, but as early as in May 1945 Wroclaw was called Breslau and had not belonged to Poland for 600 consecutive(!) years before that. The Victory Day, now referred by Warsaw as “the beginning of the communist tyranny,” added to Poland the German Silesia, Pomerania, as well as 80% of East Prussia. No one mentions this now: in other words that was a tyranny, but we’d still grab that land. “AiF” observer decided to understand, what would the map of Europe look like now, if our former brothers in the East were left without the help of the “occupiers”?
Whole cities as gifts
– In 1945 Poland received the cities of Breslau, Gdansk, Zielona Gora, Legnica, Szczecin, – says Maciej Wisniewski, a Polish freelance journalist. – USSR also gave the territory of Bialystok; with the mediation of Stalin, we acquired a disputed with Czechoslovakia city Kłodzko. Nevertheless, they believe here: the partitioning of Poland by the Molotov – Ribbentrop Pact, when the Soviet Union took the Western Belarus and Western Ukraine, was unfair, but the transfer by Stalin to Poland of Silesia and Pomerania is absolutely fair, you can not dispute this. It is fashionable to say now that Russians did not liberate, but conquered. However, it turns into an interesting kind of occupation, when Poland got for free a quarter of Germany: and on top of it, hundreds of thousands of Soviet soldiers shed their blood for this land. Even the GDR resisted, not wanting to give Szczecin to the Poles – the dispute over the city was finally solved only in 1956, under pressure from the USSR.
Apart from the Poles, the Baltic States express a strong indignation by the “occupation”. Well, it’s worth remembering: the current capital – Vilnius – was also presented to Lithuania by the USSR; by the way, the Lithuanian population of Vilnius was then… barely 1%, with Polish being the majority. USSR returned to the Republic the city of Klaipeda – Prussian Memel, owned by Lithuanians in the 1923-1939, and annexed by the Third Reich. Already back in 1991 the Lithuanian leadership condemned the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, but no one returned neither Vilnius to Poland, nor Klaipeda to Germany.
Ukraine, which by the Prime Minister Yatsenyuk’s words, declared itself “a victim of Soviet aggression on a par with German,” is unlikely to give to the Poles its western part with Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil (these cities were included by the “aggressor” into the UkSSR in 1939), Chernivtsi region to Romania (ceded to the UkSSR on August 2, 1940), and Transcarpathia to Hungary or Slovakia – received on June 29, 1945. Romanian politicians do not stop discussions about the validity of the “annexation” of Moldova by the Soviet Union in 1940. Of course, it’s long forgotten that after the war, it was thanks to Soviets that Romanians got back the province of Transylvania, which Hitler took in favour of Hungary. Bulgaria, by the mediation of Stalin himself, kept South Dobrudja (formerly the possession of that very same Romania), something that was confirmed by the treaty of 1947. But now Romanian and Bulgarian newspapers do not say a single word about it.
They don’t say ‘Thank you’
– After 1991, Czech Republic removed the monuments to the Soviet soldiers, and announced that Victory Day marks the replacement of one dictatorship with another, – says Alexander Zeman, a Czech historian. – However, it was thanks to the insistence of the Soviet Union, that Sudetenland was returned to Czechoslovakia, with the cities of Karlovy Vary and Liberec, where 92% of the population were Germans. Recall that at the Munich Conference of 1938 the Western powers supported the annexation of the Sudetenland by Germany – only the Soviet Union protested. At the same time the Poles grabbed from Czechoslovakia the Cieszyn region and did not want to give it back after the war, insisting on a referendum. Under the pressure of the USSR on Poland, supporting the the Czechoslovak position, a treaty was signed – Tesín returned to the Czechs, secured by the agreement of 1958. No one says ‘Thank you’ to the Soviet Union for this help – apparently the Russians are in debt to us with the very fact of their existence.
In general, we gave away all the lands, not forgetting anyone – and for this they now spit in our faces. In addition, few people know about the pogroms, committed by the new government on “the returned areas” – 14 million Germans were expelled from Pomerania and the Sudetenland. While the residents of Königsberg (which became Soviet Kaliningrad) moved to the GDR over the period of 6 years (until 1951), Poland and Czechoslovakia giving 2-3 months, while many Germans were given only 24 hours to get ready, being allowed to take only a suitcase of things, and forced to walk on foot for hundreds of kilometres. “You know, it’s not worth mentioning it, – they timidly point out to me at City Hall of Szczecin. – Such things spoil our good relations with Germany.” Well, yes, we get poked in the face for every little thing, while it’s a sin to offend the Germans.
What interests me personally in this matter is the question of justice. Things have already reached schizophrenia: when a person in Eastern Europe says that the Soviet victory over the Nazis is the liberation, he is regarded as either a fool or a traitor. Guys, let’s be honest. If the consequences of May 9, 1945 are so bad, illegal and terrible, all the other actions of the USSR are similarly no better. How could the solution by those who brought tyranny into your land be good? Therefore Poland should give Silesia, Pomerania and Prussia back to the Germans, Ukraine should return their western part to the Poles, Chernovtsy to Romanians, Transcarpathia to Hungary, Lithuania should abandon Vilnius and Klaipeda, Romania should give up Transylvania, the Czech Republic – the Sudetenland and Tesin, Bulgaria – Dobrogea. And then everything will be completely honest. But what do we have? They slander us for all it’s worth, accuse us of all mortal sins, but at the same time clutch with a stranglehold onto the Stalin’s “gifts”. Sometimes I feel like imagining: I’m curious what would have happen should USSR push Hitler back exactly to its borders and not look further into Europe after that? What would have now been left of the territories of those countries, that today, before the 70th anniversary of the Victory, are calling their liberation by Soviet troops for “occupation”? The answer is, however, extremely simple – bits and pieces.

How Europe was partitioned after 1945
Expert opinion by historian Rudolph Pihoj
– There is a half-legendary story that during Churchill’s visit to Moscow in 1944, he and Stalin drew the map of postwar partitioning of Europe during a dinner on plain napkin. Eyewitnesses claimed that the “document” contained a series of numbers, which (in percent) reflected the degree of the future influence of the Soviet Union and the West in different regions: Bulgaria and Romania – 90 to 10, Greece – 10 to 90, Yugoslavia – equally …
That napkin was not preserved, but in principle the issue of changing of the borders in Europe was settled by the “big three” – Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill – during the Tehran and Yalta conferences. USSR adhered to the concept that was developed already back in 1944 by the Deputy People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs, Ivan Maisky. It implied that the Soviet Union should establish such a configuration of borders, which would ensure the safety of the country for at least 25, and preferably 50 years.
In accordance with the concept developed by Maisky, USSR annexed the former German Memel, which became Lithuanian Klaipeda. The following cities became Soviet: Königsberg (Kaliningrad), Pillai (Baltijsk) and Tilsit (Soviet), which now constitute the Kaliningrad region of Russia. Also, the USSR secured the part of the territory of Finland, that was attached as a result of the “Winter War”. In general, the Soviet policy of those years was characterised by a surprising consistency in addressing regional issues. The only thing that could not be done – seizing the Black Sea straits, although this issue was discussed in Tehran and Yalta. While Port Arthur again, as in the early twentieth century, became an outpost of the country in the Far East, not to mention the southern part of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, which Russia lost as a result of the Russian-Japanese war.

Ex Ukraine PM: West expected Yanukovich to die like Gadaffi
Emotional ex Ukraine PM under Yanukovich, Nikolay Azarov, presented his new book detailing the February 2014 Kiev coup. Almost crying while talking about the tragedy in Donbass and Odessa, he put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the EU and US; specifically, the former EU commissioner Stefan Fule, who threatened him with regime change if he didn’t sign the EU agreement. He also talked about personal pressure on him by US State Dept’s Victoria Nuland. (And let’s not forget the prominent role in this whole story by the EU chief diplomat Catherine Ashton and other politicians from Brussels, Lithuania and Poland, as I discussed in a number of prior articles – LR.)
Take a listen:
In this piece in Russian Azarov admits that: negotiations with Russia were always difficult because of gas price disputes, but they always proceeded with mutual respect and in the spirit of cooperation. Russia never put pressure on the Ukraine government. It was the opposite with the West. Ukraine government and Azarov personally were under constant severe pressure from US and EU. When Nuland arrived in December 2013, she started pressuring Azarov into forming the so-called “government of national unity,” staffed with people “the nation trusts.” Azarov laments that she was not concerned at all with the fact that his own government received a vote of confidence in both December 2013 and January 2014.
I think the above is self-explanatory, should anyone still need a confirmation that Ukraine was a managed colony of the West well before the February 2014 coup, still under Yanukovich… Incidentally, this should also help those who still think that Yanukovich was a pro-Russian politician. In fact, Yanukovich was never pro-Russian. He was only a bit more balanced than others. But it was Yanukovich who announced 4 years ago that the direction of Ukraine is towards integration with the EU. Russia worked with him, just like they tried to work with Timoshenko when she was PM, trying to keep a bad peace in the family and settling for a lesser evil.
Prediction:
These revelations are just the beginning. As the conflict in Ukraine continues growing and getting out of hand, as the explosion leading to the new, cleansed Ukraine – completely different from today’s nazi regime – nears, more and more revelations will be coming out. Also see my PREDICTIONS for a complete picture.
The artificial entity that is today’s Ukraine, could never self-govern. The fact is, Ukraine in this configuration (frankly, in any configuration) could only be successful being a part of Russia, as history shows. For a complete picture on that read: FREE Earth Shift Report 2: Ukraine, Russia and Falsified History.
The fact that Russia in the past 20 odd years was hands off and looking the other way was used by the West to take over Ukraine quietly via oligarchs, NGOs, MSM, falsified/Soros-sponsored history books, Catholic church and 2004 Orange revolution. The moment Yanukovich refused to do what they wanted him to do, they executed an openly nazi coup and created an area of permanent instability on Russian borders. The problem with this approach is that when you sleep with the devil, be ready to wake up in hell. Eventually, such things backfire. US once created AlQaeda and trained the Taliban against the USSR. Years later, these entities acquired a life of their own and turned on their former handlers.
To add to the picture, here is my response to a reader that resonates with the above. The issues discussed are whether Ukraine may let Donbass leave to save the Kiev junta’s grip on the rest of the territory; and whether, should this happen, the rest of Ukraine will be left anti-Russian for a long time.
My reply:
The revolt is brewing inside Ukraine in many areas, including Odessa, Kharkov and Zaporozhie, and even Western Ukraine. 1.5 million Ukraine citizens already escaped to Russia from mobilization, etc. This means that if Donbass is allowed to leave, others will want to secede as well.
Anti-Russian Ukraine won’t survive for long because it’s unnatural – change is coming. US and EU created a monster they will be very sorry about.
A great example is Chechnya: considering the gravity of a 1990s conflict, it did a rather quick turnaround from anti-Russian rebellion to a staunchly pro-Russian position. These switches of the public mood happen extremely fast, often the moment the status quo changes. This is human nature and there are tons of historic examples of same.
The Kiev junta is finished the moment they admit Donbass is separate.
I will also briefly add that the geopolitical game is much bigger than between the parts of Ukraine. The stakes are between the old and the new and what the future of mankind will look like. What happens in Ukraine is really being decided between Washington and Moscow. I will write about that in the upcoming Earth Shift Reports. Stay tuned!
Wake Up, the Soldier of Ukraine!
This is a video with a very poignant new song by the band called “Alexander Matrosov,” entitled: “To the Soldier of Ukraine.”
The video shows the truth of the new ‘order’ in Ukraine, imposed by Kiev and the West. It is powerful, at times very disturbing, and must be seen to know the truth. I thought it was so important that I decided to translate the whole thing.
Lyrics – English translation:
1
Remember, the soldier of Ukraine,
you swore to protect your people?
Why do you turn Donbass into ruins,
why do you keep shooting at children?
Refrain:
You kill,
You are killed.
What for?
You don’t understand,
but bullets keep flying.
This war is bad for everyone.
EXCEPT…
Those who get filthy rich on war.
They will create any deception,
for them your life means nothing.
In the quiet of their offices,
in stylish designer suits,
they enjoy the whisper of dollars,
while you die in the war…
2
Wake up, the soldier of Ukraine,
stop shooting at your brothers as if they were training targets,
and shell them from Grads,
and send mines instead of presents into every home.
Refrain
3
STOP!
This isn’t a secret any more!
STOP!
Your enemies are in Kiev offices!
The more deaths the bigger their banking account!
STOP!
There is no other reason.
STOP!
They will seduce and scapegoat you.
They are only strong while war rages.
Wake up, the soldier of Ukraine,
Wake up, the soldier of Ukraine,
Wake up, the soldier of Ukraine.
The world is awaiting your decision!
Video with song:
It is very well-known that the lies and zombifying propaganda of the Kiev junta is absolutely numbing. It has turned citizens of Ukraine – those who watch Ukrainian TV and read papers – into absolute zombies and crazed maniacs. Those who understand the truth, report that they can’t watch ukro-TV for 5 minutes because their heads start hurting violently. In others words, their mind, recognizing profound psychological manipulation, starts rebelling.
On another hand, insistent reports continue surfacing, which are being diligently suppressed, that MK Ultra and other advanced, mass-zombifying techniques are used on Ukraine citizens to turn them into Russia-haters. I talked about that in one of my previous YouTube episodes. There is a strong indication that the devices located in the largest in Europe, recently built US embassy in Kiev, as well US ships docking in Odessa, are used to induce anti-Russian hysteria in Ukraine.
But in truth, once a person has been brought up in a specific way (and all young Ukrainians were brought up with Soros-sponsored history books insisting Russia is their enemy No.1), all you have to do is trigger this hidden button you had planted in the dormant mass psyche – and voila! – you get desired mass psychosis. Expensive new technology may not even be necessary. Still, insistent voices continue warning about US testing such devices on Ukraine citizens, for future use on their own citizens and citizens of the EU.
For additional angle on this also read: How US Invaded Europe with Its Army of Manchurian Candidates.
The only country that cares about preserving the lives of Ukrainians is Russia:
Ukraine itself doesn’t give a damn about their people. The Kiev junta is sending its young soldiers to die. The Kiev ministry of defence has purchased a plot of 80 hectares, where they are actively digging graves for their soldiers. This plot is enough to bury 160,000 people. These gruesome images went viral around the net. An image of such dug-out graves is included in the above video.
Losses of the Kiev army in Donbass are 10 to 1 compared to those of self-defence, as reported by Kiev. They send them into battle without training, without food, without proper equipment. Therefore, the rulers in Kiev don’t care how many young people, who could have children, would die. See my recent: False Flag Alert; Kiev Regime Needs War to Survive; Ukrainians Refuse to Fight; Foreign Mercenaries and NATO Weapons.
The only country that cares, the only leader that is concerned about the preservation of the Ukraine’s population and the lives of its young men, are Russia and Vladimir Putin.
When Ukraine men try to escape mobilization, they board busses and run to another country. Seeing that, Poland, Czechia and Slovakia have closed their borders. The only country that hasn’t is Russia.
However, recent changes to Russian law due to Ukraine’s stance of confrontation is that Ukrainians can only stay 30 days on the Russian territory. Vladimir Putin has announced that this law will be modified to accommodate a huge inflow of refugees and mobilization escapees by prolonging their visas beyond 30 days.
Crimea specifically said they would be ready to accept ‘mogilizaion’ (from Rus. ‘mogila’ – grave) refugees. In Russia these refugees are given free room and board in college and factory dorms. Those who want to work to make money in order to take it back home, can find jobs easily in the nearby Belgorod, Lipetsk and other Russian oblasts bordering Ukraine, as robust Russian job market experiences a need in all kinds of workers, from janitors to nurses and other qualified specialists.
Eye-witnesses report that entire western Ukraine villages look deserted as all adult males have left to hide from mobilization. Western Ukraine is the birthplace of ukro-nazis Bandera, Shukhevich and their heirs, ‘the right secror,’ ‘svoboda,’ and other contemporary ukro-nazis.
Where do you think these western Ukrainians, who hate Russia, and who jumped on Kiev maidan promising to ‘knife Russians,’ are running? That’s right, to Russia. They are being checked out as FSB/Russian police work well. If they are clean, they are allowed in.
However, speaking of brainwashing, what is becoming very clear is that when such Ukrainians, even coming from western parts, are taken out of Kiev’s deafening anti-Russian propaganda for a few days, they change completely. They see that while Ukraine is full of hatred towards Russia, Russians address them with kindness and compassion. They see that there is no talk of war in Russia – Ukraine propaganda presents it as if Russia has attacked and is conducting a war against Ukraine in Donbass, and this is why Ukraine soldiers are dying there in such numbers.
According to Kiev MSM, several Russian divisions already perished in Donbass, as the brave Ukraine soldiers continue deflecting the attacks by vicious Russian army that invaded the sovereign Ukraine. These Russian invaders must be invisible as to this day not a single proof was presented of their existence.
How else would Kiev explain to their population the staggering losses they sustain while fighting against tiny Donbass? How will they justify the fact that DNR and LNR small self-defense armies manage to give the much bigger and better equipped Ukraine army a thrashing every time? They can’t possibly admit that their losses stem from their own stupidity and incompetence. They can’t say that they are fighting against the peaceful population of Donbass, which would rather die than live under ukro-nazis.
Ukraine keeps accusing Russia of aggression – with zero facts, of course, but backed in all their lies by the US and EU. When in Russia, Ukrainian refugees discover that Russians are thinking only of how to stop civil war in Ukraine. The parallel is that of a nasty, unreasonable, selfish, and at times violent, teenager, who says to his parents ‘I hate you,’ while parents in response continue loving him, trying to protect him from his own self-destructiveness.
Ukrainians also discover with surprise how well Russians live. For example, Moscow is one of the most modern, well-to-do and best looking capitals in the world. A friend who traveled for New Year’s to the capital of Latvia, Riga, noted that you’d think it was Latvia that was under severe Western sanctions: on New Year’s it’s deathly quiet, streets are dark, people hide out in their homes. This person was born and grew up in Riga, and he was shocked to see the poverty and desolation there. In Moscow, meanwhile, streets and squares are nicely lit up, with beautiful New Year’s trees and street celebrations; people are joyful, they laugh and have a good time. I once showed around Manhattan to my friends from Germany. We walked along Broadway and they thought I was playing a joke on them. They said: ‘This is New York? This is Broadway? Looks like a getto.’
Point is, Russia is being deliberately, systematically and viciously maligned and put down by the West – and now that unfortunately includes Ukraine as well. Black is made look white, and vice versa.
This is nothing new: the massive lies and anti-Russian propaganda were common during Cold War; before WWI and WWII; as we are now starting to re-discover from our suppressed history – this was equally the case during 19th, 18th and earlier centuries. Europe always felt jealous and intimidated by Russia. Not because Russia threatened the West – it was the other way around as we well know from history. It was because of Russia’s role as the great karmic balancer of the world.
There are many forces in the West that need and want to keep the world in grave imbalance. If there is balance and fairness on planet Earth, how will they dupe, enslave and rob the entire world?
Read more about Russia’s global role in PREDICTIONS on top bar. Also, I will be talking about that in my upcoming YouTube videos.
Speaking of West’s jubilation that Russian economy is in ‘tatters,’ as announced by Obama…
Not even close! Russia creates new jobs by thousands, daily. This is why Russia can easily absorb emigration rivaling USA’s, while having only 150 million population. US loses jobs with the same speed, daily. Not counting McDonald’s burger-flippers, of course – that market is booming.
Poland’s unseemly role:
Meanwhile, scandals shaking up Poland: Polish president proposed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory (victory over Nazi Germany in WWII) in Poland, where WWII started. And the logic behind celebrating Victory Day in a place where the war actually started and where no significant battles were fought? Don’t ask. Obviously none, except to spite, insult and try to humiliate Russia.
Russia already announced that this is yet another provocation by Poland designed to dissuade some EU politicians from coming to the traditional Great Victory celebration in Moscow on May 9th, 2015, thus sabotaging the important 70th Anniversary commemorative event.
Nothing new here: remember 1980 Moscow Olympics boycott, attempts to boycott the 2014 Sochi Olympics, present attempts to isolate Russia, turn off SWIFT, sanctions and attempts to blame Russia for the Ukraine disasters.
Poland’s hideous, demonic role in this entire Ukrainian war has yet to fully come out. One of the biggest Trojan Horses of the US in the EU, Poland does US bidding, as well as pursues its own ulterior motives. During recent commemoration of the 70th anniversary of liberation of Poland and Auschwitz by the Soviet Army, Poland snubbed the country liberator of Poland and Auschwitz for an official invitation. President of Russia Vladimir Putin wasn’t invited. Meanwhile, Polish FM made a statement that it was Ukraine that liberated Poland and Auschwitz, and the rest of the USSR had nothing to do with that.
Someone left a comment in my previous post on this topic, saying that Poland made a mistake. Not even close to the truth. Polish FM, who made that statement (for which I hold personally responsible the Polish president and Polish government) is a Soviet trained historian, and US Manchurian Candidate, who knew precisely what he was doing. See my article: How US Invaded Europe with Its Army of Manchurian Candidates.
In fact, in addition to being a US lapdog, Poland is pursuing its own interests. Poland is trying to recreate its failed medieval empire, called Rech Pospolita. While Ukraine is falling apart and everyone is looking the other way, Poland hopes to bite off as big of a chunk of Ukraine as they possibly can. This is why they need to keep everyone’s eyes on Russia, blaming Russia for all mortal sins and keeping Russia fending off attacks.
Other countries that are licking their lips at juicy pieces of Ukraine territory are Romania and Lithuania. As a diversion, they need Russia to be under attack all the time for their plan to work.
Therefore, Ukrainian soldiers, simple people of Ukraine who think that patriotism equals being anti-Russian, and all those who are caught in the web of propaganda, are helping vultures ready to tear apart what’s left of their country.
These silly people don’t understand that only Russia can guarantee the integrity, free cultural development of Ukraine and Ukrainian culture.
LRL1: Inaugural Episode of LadaRayLive Is Here! Crimea’s Scythian Gold; MH17; Russian Sanctions – Global Consequences
We are pleased to announce that the inaugural episode of my new show, Lada Ray Live, is finally here!
Watch on YouTube in HD!
LadaRayLive 1. Crimea’s Scythian Gold; MH17; Russian Sanctions – Global Consequences
We discuss several closely related topics that all have common players: Russia, USA, Ukraine, EU and Holland. What happened to the Scythian gold from Kiev that was shipped off by Yatsenyuk to the US? Why is Holland refusing to give the Crimean Scythian gold back to the rightful owners – the Crimean museums? MH17 false flag with pictures. Global shift as a result of the Russian agriculture/food sanctions. In conjunction with the above, my co-host Az and I also touch upon the situation in Caucasus, including the Nagorny Karabakh Donbass-like conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and how Putin managed to defuse it using peaceful diplomacy. We talk about the history and geopolitics of the Crimea, its aspiration to reunite with Russia, anti-NATO movement in Sevastopol and more. We discuss why the largest in Europe, new American embassy was built in… Kiev. We also talk about how Ukrainian gold was shipped off by Yatsenyuk to the US from the Kiev Borispol Airport.
We also talk about the two poster boys of the Western anti-Russian propaganda: Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the Nobel Prize winner and author of Archipelago GULAG, and his experiences in the US, as well as the fate of Boris Pasternak, the Nobel Prize winner and author of Doctor Zhivago.
Please let me know what you think!

Russia’s Sanctions: Who Wins, Who Loses?
Below is the new breaking info, to supplement the comprehensive info, analysis and predictions I provided in Predictions: Russia Hits West With Return Sanctions.
Russia finalized the list of products and countries banned for import into Russia.
I warned many times that the attempts by the EU to impose sanctions on Russia will backfire on the EU, and will be a long-term positive for Russia. My predictions are playing out now.
Canada, US, Australia, UK foods/agriculture/raw material imports are banned.
There is a full ban on agricultural/food products from all EU countries and Norway. The ban includes meats, fish, milk products, fruits and vegetables – in short, just about everything. Russia is a huge market for the EU. Annual agriculture/food imports from the EU to Russia total 12bln euros. Total trade between Russia and EU is about $500bln per annum. By contrast, Russia’s trade with the US is only $26bln.
Russia banned all agricultural produce from Belgium – Belgium food exports to Russia total over 400 mln euro per year. All agriculture from Poland is banned. Romania, Italy, Greece, France, Holland, and pretty much every EU country, is affected.
This would have been funny, if it wasn’t that sad! Lithuanian government asks the EU to compensate it for losses associated with Russian sanctions and says that “EU must meet the threat together, as a unified front.” THE THREAT? Let me get this straight: Lithuania had no problem jumping on the bandwagon of the EU/US sanctions against Russia; no problem with EU/US threatening and lying about Russia. Lithuanian mercenaries are a large and integral part of the Kiev junta invasion into Donbass. They play a big role in the bombings of the peaceful population, and bear part of the responsibility for the destruction of the once florishing Lugansk and Donetsk. But when they have to pay the piper for their actions – all of sudden they remember that they are threatened?! Lithuanian agricultural exports into Russia, now banned, were a substantial part of Lithuanian economy.
Finland, another (formerly) large exporter of foods into Russia, admits that it will be very difficult to replace the lucrative Russian market. Russian market accounted for 1/4 of Finland’s entire agricultural/food export!
German Association of Wholesalers and Exporters says that it is worried that the loss of the Russian market, with its large capacity, poses a threat to German economy. This loss affects not only agricultural producers, but also the shipping industry and transportation operators.
At the same time, Russia is to dramatically increase imports from Chile – mainly meat, wine and milk/cheese products. Turkey’s supplies of fruits and vegetables are to increase dramatically as well. Belarus delegation is now in Russia discussing a substantial increase in Belarus food/agri imports. It appears, Kazakhstan is also gearing for the increase of its imports into Russia. Generally, this situation is expected to be a stellar opportunity for certain countries that have been anxious to increase their share in the Russian market, but were being squeezed out of it by the fierce competition. Lines are forming and the race is on. Interviewing candidates… 😉
Russia has also announced measures to boost domestic agricultural output, and as I said in the previous piece, the ban of the European agri products is superb news for Russian farmers and food manufacturers, who were at a huge disadvantage in their own country due to competition from the EU, as a result of the imbalanced policies and proliferation of oligarchs in the 1990s. In short, as I warned and predicted previously, and as discussed in Predictions: Russia Hits West With Return Sanctions, the anti-Russian sanctions by the West will turn into a problem for the EU, and will be a HUGE long-term positive for Russia.
The turn of events is such that these will also become a long-term positive for other countries that were at a huge competitive disadvantage compared to the EU/US producers. This is awesome news as well, as it will help restore the overall balance and justice in the world – something, as my readers know, I often love to talk about. Read more about the current global imbalance and Russia’s universal karmic role in PREDICTIONS.
The ban will be for the term of one year, with possible changes and/or extensions; new products may be added. Such long-term ban means that many of the countries that lose the large and lucrative Russian market, won’t be able to get back in as their place will be taken by someone else.
NEW PREDICTIONS: There is another huge positive for Russia: having invested properly into her own agriculture (and this is finally happening due to sanctions), Russia will eventually regain its place as the world’s bread basket. Turn of the 20th century Russian Empire was called the “bread basket of Europe.” Russian agriculture, albeit damaged after the 1990s disasters, can now rise again. Russia is capable of feeding a large part of the planet with her clean, non-GMO foods. Some of the EU agricultural products, having lost their competitive advantage, will be eventually squeezed out and replaced by Russian products. I say nothing about the US, as it isn’t in the running.
In my prior articles and predictions, I discussed the trend of Russia having to take reluctant measures in response to the US/EU behavior, with these measures morphing into a long-term boon for the country. This is the long-term trend I continue forecasting. In fact, it will intensify. EU shouldn’t have poked Russia (of which I’ve also repeatedly warned). Never a good idea and always ends the same way.
Russia’s PM, Dmitry Medvedev, announced that the government will crack down on any attempt to speculate on banned goods, or to create a black market for banned goods. He has also announced that sanctions exclude baby products.
Russia is gearing for the ban on EU and US commercial flights across Russia. See article link below for specific flight time and financial loss numbers associated with such ban. Ukraine is already banned from using Russian airspace. Dmitry Medvedev announced that Russia may change rules of foreign usage of the TransSiberian routes, including tariffs and routes. He also pointed out that closer to winter, Russia may announce additional sanctions.

P.S. I have to warn that the US won’t give up despite the losing position they are in (or maybe precisely because they are in this losing position). More crazy pressure on Russia and EU should be expected. Of course, in the final analysis, this will only expedite the collapse of the US empire, but they don’t seem to be too concerned about it. Follow the link above to read more about that. Also, see my other previous articles and Predictions.
