I just can’t get enough of these videos from Crimea, 2014.
You can’t fake that! Watch below!
Kiev February-March, 2014: burning Ukraine, police clashes with violent thugs masquerading as protesters. This was Kiev Maidan 2014 and subsequent junta takeover. Most people were in shock and couldn’t understand how something like this was possible in Ukraine. Many had to flee because their lives were threatened, and some disappeared to never be heard from again.
Crimea, March 2014: they were ready to wait through the night on Sevastopol’s main square, because they were celebrating. In the past 23 years, this day was their happiest! Crimean referendum just voted to secede from Ukraine and join Russia. They were waiting for the final count, which will turn out to be 93-95%. Later, there will be historic vote by the Duma and decision by the Russian President Vladimir Putin to accept Crimea and Sevastopol as two new subjects of the Russian Federation.
Recall that the fact that Russia will never allow Crimea to fall into the hands of Kiev ukro-nazis and of the US was one of my earliest key 2014 predictions! I also predicted (of course) the outcome of the Crimean referendum. And in 2014 I wrote about how US tried to turn Crimea into its mega-base against Russia. ALL RIGHT HERE, ON FT! My predictions and prophecies came true!

5th Anniversary – Unforgettable March 2014: How Russian ‘Polite Men’ Saved Crimea! Amazing Moments Captured in Pics!
5th ANNIVERSARY OF CRIMEA’S REUNIFICATION WITH RUSSIA!

The Unforgettable March 2014: How Russian ‘Polite Men’ Saved Crimea
Amazing Moments Captured in Pics!
Following the Kiev Maidan and anti-government coup in Ukraine, in March 2014 the popular referendums in Crimea and Sevastopol voted overwhelmingly to secede from Ukraine and re-join Russia.
Within days a massive number of photos and videos appeared on the Internet. They depicted Crimean residents and children enthusiastically hugging and smiling at people with guns and in balaclavas.
Dubbed ‘the polite men’, Russian servicemen became a highly desirable addition to wedding and kids’ photos. The fashion to take selfies with the Polite Men spread through Crimea like fire.
Quite a few images depicted the Polite Men with happy children and cats.
Indeed the number of such unrehearsed, spontaneous images, including cats, was so great that grateful residents made a statue commemorating them. The statue depicts Polite Man with a gun and a young girl handing him flowers; at their feet is a cat. This statue stands in Simferopol, the capital of Crimea:
The remarkable presence of the Polite Men in unmarked uniforms, or the ‘little green men,’ as they were also called, made a miracle possible. While a short distance away, Ukraine burned and violence spread throughout, not a single shot was fired and not a single casualty took place in Crimea. The Polite Men were just there: unobtrusively, quietly. They didn’t interfere, but they watched over the peninsula, while people voted and later, while Crimea transitioned peacefully to Russia.
Also, a large collection of these photos in this video, made in March 2014: ‘Finally Russians Came to Crimea’

Russian painting: 1854 Siege of Sevastopol, Crimean War.
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, who also happens to be the President of Russian Geographic Society, takes journalists on a tour of newly restored Sevastopol’s legendary Konstantinovskaya Battery Fort. It was built by Russia 240 years ago and it withstood two sieges of Sevastopol. But it took the ‘independent’ Ukraine, ruled by greedy oligarchs and foreign interests, only 20 years to nearly demolish it. With it, the ancestral memory and true history would have been destroyed as well. It all changed in 2014, when Crimea returned to Russia. After 3-years long massive reconstruction, the fortress is like new. Take a look:
**Kiev often laments that ‘Crimea left.’ To that the response should be that Crimea didn’t simply leave, it escaped — it ran away as fast as its feet would carry it!
The title of the video below in Russian is: ‘Dear Ukrainians, this video is especially for you: Crimean tourism infrastructure flourishes.’ Such title because Kiev MSM and politicians insist that Crimea is falling apart under ‘Russian rule.’ Of course, this is silly and reality cannot be further from the truth. But some people in Ukraine, completely zombified by propaganda, actually believe this. In fact, Crimea was falling apart and dying a slow death under Kiev. Presently, even despite excruciating water, food, transport and energy blockade, Crimea is being fixed up and rebuilt.
It is surfacing every day that those navy and army officers who believed Kiev and left Crimea in 2014 to continue serving in Ukraine army, are now little by little defecting and returning to Crimea. Sometimes whole units defect.
Crimean attractions are world-famous: Yalta’s beaches, gorgeous nature and imperial palaces (say, Levadia Palace where Stalin, Rosevelt and Churchill met in 1945); Swallow’s Nest; world’s largest children’s recreation resort/summer camp Artek,; Sevastopol’s Black Sea fleet base and underground Soviet mega-submarine base; various historic palaces, beaches, parks, rock climbing, natural caves and ethnic food.
On this short video: Crimea is being fixed up from the neglect and abuse it endured during 23 years of being looted by Kiev oligarchs/ nationalistic politicians, and re-styled as an all-year round sea resort with emphasis on rejuvenation spa, health tourism and all-inclusive tours that Russians prefer.
Some gorgeous Black Sea views on this video!
On video: Crimean Bridge projected look – the construction has begun, to be completed by the end of 2018. February off-season Crimean hiking and famous Marble Caves, where natural stalagmite castles and palaces have been built by nature itself.
Next on video: various hotel accommodations with off- and on-season all-inclusive pricing. Next: budget/ inexpensive private sector pricing. Simferopol Airport now receives 5 mln passengers a year, more than during Soviet times. After reconstruction scheduled for 2018 more flights from Russia and abroad will be received.
Kerch Strait option by car or by plane from mainland: you can leave the car in designated parking on mainland side and buy 1/2 price subsidized ticket to a city in Crimea: Yalta, Simferopol, Sevastopol, Feodosia, etc. The bus takes you to ferry and then to your destination. Tickets really do sound very cheap: from Krasnodar to Sevastopol/Yevpatoria/Yalta – about 810 rub.
In the end: Bakhchisarai (the capital of Crimean Tatars) has a park of minis: main architectural attractions of Crimea, with various historic palaces, etc. Crimean Tatar national cooking is shown. Crimean tourist expo in Yalta will choose the best all-inclusive tour route for Crimean season 2016. These are offered by various tour operators. Winner will be chosen by tourist vote.

Despite it’s abundant natural and man-made beauty, Crimea rarely new lasting peace. It has for centuries been a geopolitical hot spot and a bone of contention for great powers vying for control of Black Sea. The real reason has always been the control of Russia’s soft underbelly.
The only time Crimea had any chance for peace and prosperity was when it was an integral part of Russia. Today, it is regaining what it once lost.
Not all is rosy in Crimea, which is natural as a manifestation of the growing pains, magnified as a result of relentless sabotage and acts of terrorism by Ukraine, Turkey, ISIS and US/EU.
The worrying vestige of the ‘independent’ Ukraine’s past – remaining local corruption, neglect, lack of caring for one’s own land and understanding how to govern for the good of all – are also heavy burdens on those who are working extremely hard to return Crimea to its former glory.
However, despite all these difficulties, the general direction is towards optimism, stability, prosperity and hope. Crimea is again beginning to blossom.
External threats continue and they are close by: one of them is the US naval super-base, being secretly built in Odessa, not too far from Crimea, also on the Black Sea shore. Read all about it, along with dire futurist’s predictions in ESR8: BLACK SEA GAMBIT.
Another threat is even closer to home: attempts to create a Kosovo-like Muslim enclave in neghboring Kherson and Nikolaev oblasts on the Ukrainian side, populating it by Turks, Crimean Tatar Mejlis and escaped ISIS terrorists. The Odessa Black Sea Gambit story is directly related to the noise around Crimea and clandestine attempts to subvert Nikolaev and Kherson. It is an attempt by the same forces who subverted Ukraine to preserve geopolitical control of the entire Black Sea coast, in order to weaken Russia.
Map below shows Crimean peninsula (in pink) in relation to the Russian mainland (pink) and the rest of northern Black Sea coast: Odessa, Kherson and Nikolaev (in green, as part of Ukraine). Click on map to enlarge.

Following the February Ukraine coup, on March 16th, 2014, Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to secede from Ukraine and reunite with Russia. 95% to 97% voted for reunification, depending on the area. Simultaneously, a referendum whether to accept Crimea and Sevastopol as two new subjects of the Russian Federation took place in Russia. 95% of Russians said ‘yes.’
On March 18-19, Crimea and Sevastopol joined the Russian Federation as two newest subjects. The transition went smoothly and peacefully, not a single shot was fired and only two casualties were registered on both sides, shot by a provocateur Ukrainian sniper sent there to attempt inciting violence (by the old CIA playbook).
At the time, 16,000 Russian troops were stationed in Crimea, based on the Black Sea Fleet Sevastopol base lease agreement with Ukraine. Simultaneously, 20,000 Ukrainian troops were stationed on the peninsula as well. Out of these 20,000, about 18,000 Ukraine troops pledged allegiance to Russia, while only 2,000 chose to leave back to Ukraine. They were allowed to leave peacefully and with dignity.
As a result of professional actions of the Russian troops, fleet and politicians, they received a nickname ‘vezhlivie lyudi’ directly translated as ‘the polite people,’ aka, ‘real gentlemen.’
However, none of that mattered. Russia was accused by the West of aggression against poor, weak Ukraine and annexation of part of Ukraine’s territory, Putin was called Hitler and crippling sanctions were imposed on Russia.
The West supported the bloody ukro-nazi Kiev junta against Russia, Crimea and against the people of Donbass, who were also fighting for their independence from the regime that wanted to take away and rewrite their memory, their history and their way of life. The West also supported ukro-nazis and Ukraine ultra-nationalists in their quest to create a fascist state with thousands of political prisoners, torture, kidnappings and lynching, where the rights of the largest, Russian-speaking part of the population were denied.
The West, together with its stooges in Kiev, did everything to isolate and humiliate Russia and its leaders. Vladimir Putin was always the most visible target. But many others were targeted, as well. For example, in 2015 the Head of the Russian Duma Sergei Naryshkin was illegally denied visa to Helsinki, where he was invited to the anniversary of the Helsinki Accords, of which Russia, as the legal heir to the USSR, was a founding member; The Head of the Soviet of the Federation chamber of the Russian Duma Valentina Matvienko in 2015 was illegally denied USA visa, and was unable to come to New York, where she was invited to speak at the UN General Assembly and at the global inter-parliamentary symposium. The exceedingly ultra-nationalist and Russophobic Poland snubbed Putin for an invitation to the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz – the camp that the Soviet Army liberated along with all of Poland!
For 2 years, Ukraine, US and EU did everything to sabotage and stunt Crimea. In 2014 Kiev ukro-nazis destroyed the Russian-built (like most everything that ever was built in Ukraine) North Crimean Canal, which supplied with badly needed water most of the peninsula, leaving it in dire straits.
In 2015, Ukraine began the food blockade of Crimea; in December 2015 Ukraine, aided by some foreign governments (I will disclose who in the upcoming ESR9: CRIMEAN AGENDA) blew up power lines and left 2.5 million people and the entire peninsula without power during the winter.
Two years later, Russia and Crimea survived all the attempts at humiliation, blockade, attacks and sanctions, emerging with flying colors.
As a matter of fact, Russia’s prestige and clout are the highest they have been since the breakup of the USSR. Putin’s global and all-Russian popularity is through the roof at 90%+ approval. Russia’s Syria operation further advanced this clout, making Russia the one and only go-to peacemaker in the Middle East (read upcoming Syria withdrawal article, ESR5 & ESR7).
Call it karma or justice… Let’s compare that to what has happened in the past 2 years to those who tried to isolate and humiliate Russia and Putin. Obama is a disappointment even to his formerly ardent supporters – and as I predicted last year, democrats will pay dearly for their behavior towards Russia during these elections (more on that in my future US elections prediction). Australian and Canadian PMs, who were nasty to Putin and Russia, are gone (does anyone even remember their names?..). Extremely popular before 2014, Merkel is hated in her own country and abroad, and I project her to gradually lose her remaining support soon.
Ukraine PM Yatsenyuk has 0% approval rating; Poroshenko, who has been drowning his sorrows in vodka, holds no power and is hated just as universally; Ukraine has made a nuisance of itself, always complaining about Russia and begging for handouts, which both Europeans and Americans are sick of hearing.
Someone tweeted me recently that Ukraine filed a complaint with WTO that Russia is preventing them from trading with her. This insane asylum, this ‘idiocracy+’ in Kiev, suddenly woke up to realize that they needed trade with Russia after all, since EU imposed strict quotas on Ukraine imports as their rightful reward for signing the ‘EU association and slavery agreement.’ Ukraine’s complaint to WTO about mean Russia, who doesn’t want to trade with them, comes after Ukraine itself broke all ties with Russia, joined sanctions, blockaded Crimea, banned Russian air traffic and blockaded truck traffic, called Russia aggressor, announced that Ukraine was at war with Russia, threatened Russians and Russian-speakers in Ukraine, and applauded ukro-nazi attacks on Russian embassy and consulates.
Happy Holiday, dear Russians!
Happy Holiday, Sevastopol and Crimea!
Hope the rest of the territories occupied by ukro-nazis and their foreign masters
will also celebrate their liberation soon!

In response to my latest video: WHO REALLY RULED USSR? The Secret of Brezhnev’s Passport
Lada’s Guide to the 85 Subjects of the Russian Federation
If located in the densely populated European part, oblast in size could be between a US state and county. It’s typically bigger than any US county, but sometimes smaller than a state. If it’s located in Siberia, it tends to be bigger than many of the world’s countries.
Sometimes oblast is incorrectly translated as a ‘region.’
Russia’s administrative structure is federative, which means that there is a federative agreement between various parts of the country. This is due to the multi-national, multi-confessional and multi-cultural composition of Russia. In fact, Russia is the most multi-national country in the world, with about 100 nationalities living on its territory. It is also one of the few truly multi-confessional countries, although the main religion is considered Russian Orthodoxy.
Presently, Russian Federation has 85 subjects, including the latest two: Crimea and Sevastopol (the map below is several years old and doesn’t include them).
Many, but not all, of the 85 federation subjects are oblasts. Oblasts are generally the predominantly and traditionally Russian-populated territories within Russia, directly subordinate to the capital, Moscow. Most oblasts, with a couple of exceptions, have a large central city as their capital. Usually, oblasts are called by the name of the capital city.
Example of an important oblast without a large central city is Moskovskaya Oblast (area around Moscow – excluding Moscow proper, which is a separate subject of the Federation). Examples of oblasts headed by large cities: Lipetskaya Oblast (capital Lipetsk) and Voronezhskaya Oblast (capital city of Voronezh), both in central Russia; Novosibirskaya Oblast in Western Siberia (capital Novosibirsk).
Another administrative subdivision in addition to oblast is kray. A great example is Krasnodarsky Kray, which includes some of the most fertile agricultural lands in Russia, as well as the famous Black Sea resorts, such as Sochi. Kray (krai) means a parcel of land, or alternatively, ‘the end, edge or outskirts.’ Incidentally, the word Ukraine ‘ u-krai-na’ is a derivative of the word kray.
Black Sea resort of Sochi (Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 venue), Krasnodarsky Kray
Normally, krays are those lands where the cossacks traditionally settle. They were given land and special rights by the Russian Empire, and later, by the Russian Federation. Their administration was a little different. Kray is often bigger than oblast, although some are comparable in size and population. Other examples are Krasnoyarsky Kray in Eastern Siberia (capital Krasnoyarsk) and Dalnevostochniy Kray (the Far Eastern Kray).
Beautiful Lake Baikal, Eastern Siberia. Shared administratively by Irkutsk Oblast to the west and Buryatskaya Autonomous Republic (Buryatia) to the east.
Next, there are autonomous oblast, autonomous okrugs, and autonomous republics.
Autonomous oblast and autonomous okrugs are governed much like any other oblast, but they have more of an ethnic flavor, with more school subjects in small native languages, celebration of small ethnic cultures, etc. There are a few autonomous okrugs, but only one Jewish Autonomous Oblast (capital Birobidjan). They all are in Siberia, Far East and the European north, where small native populations reside. As I said in previous articles, their heritage is meticulously preserved.
Incidentally, the word ‘native cultures’ is a misnomer – the situation in Russia was completely different from that of the USA or Australia. However, since we don’t have a different word to express this notion in English, I am still utilizing it for the ease of reference.
Although there is a lot of debate about this, presently, the governor of any oblast, autonomy or kray is elected locally. There are a lot of voices advocating that all governors should be appointed by the Russian President.
It has to be noted that the territory of the krays, oblasts and okrugs in Siberia and the Far East are larger than most countries. Meanwhile, the population of these is usually very small.
Autonomous republics are a whole different thing. They have their own head of state, called president or something else. A good example is Ramzan Kadyrov in Chechnya. There is a big debate whether it’s appropriate for an autonomous republic’s head to be called president, since there can be only one Russian President. I believe Kadyrov himself raised this issue and said he wouldn’t call himself ‘president,’ choosing instead the title of the ‘Head of the Chechen Autonomous Republic.’ Meanwhile, Tatarskaya Autonomous Republic (Tatarstan) and Bashkortostan preserve the title of president. As we see, autonomous republics have a lot of say in how they self-govern.
Regardless of size, autonomous republics are those that have a predominantly or partially different population than ethnic Russians. Usually the core population is Muslim and they are mostly concentrated around the Black Sea/Caucasus and Volga/Urals regions. Exceptions are in Siberia, such as Buryatia, which is Buddhist, not Muslim.
Each autonomous republic has its own state language (together with Russian), own flag, troops and anthem. Their chain of command is different. First they respond to their own head of autonomy, who also has more pull and influence over local laws. Only then they respond to the federal center.
In addition to Chechnya, some other well-known autonomous republics are: Crimea (capital Simferopol), Tatarstan on Volga (capital Kazan), Bashkortostan (capital Ufa). There is also Dagestan in Caucasus, Buryatia near Lake Baikal in Siberia, etc.
Moscow, capital of Russia, city of federal significance
Finally, Russian Federation has 3 cities that do not belong to any oblast, kray or autonomy. Instead, they are separate subjects of the federation, answering directly to the Russian President, aka, ‘cities of federal significance.’
These are: Moscow (governed separately from Moskovskaya Oblast), St. Petersburg (also separate from the surrounding Leningradskaya Oblast). The newest city of federal significance is Sevastopol, base of the Russian Black Sea fleet, which is governed separately from the Crimean Autonomous Republic.
St. Petersburg (former Leningrad), city of federal significance
(More data can be found on Wikipedia.)
A bit of history
Russian Federation was established by Lenin in 1918-22. The structure remains very similar since then. In addition to the largest republic called the Russian Federation (Rossiyskaya Federatsia), USSR consisted of 14 other republics (15 in total), some of which had only oblasts and others, autonomies as well.
Before the Soviet Union, the Russian Empire existed within the borders of the USSR, plus several other, presently independent countries, such as Finland and Poland. The Russian Empire’s administrative borders were very similar to the present day oblasts, krays and autonomies, plus the former Soviet republics. However, there were no formal autonomies, although local style of governorship, customs and laws were honored. Each territory was formally called ‘guberniya,’ meaning governorship. Each governor was appointed by the Russian Emperor.
The situation in former Soviet republics
Incidentally, the now independent countries of Ukraine and Belarus both consist exclusively of oblasts. They have no autonomies or krays. Moldova has oblasts and one autonomy – Gagauzia (population: Orthodox Turks), which threatens to secede any moment, preferring to join Russia. Pridnestrovie seceded formally from Moldova, trying to re-join Russia for the past 23 years. Georgia lost its 2 autonomies, Abkhazia and S. Ossetia, after having mistreated their population.
Of course, Crimea seceded from Ukraine to join Russia. Donbass (Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts) has also de-facto seceded from Ukraine, although the civil war so far rages on.
Ukraine is refusing to adopt federative structure, insisting it is a unitarian country, although many forces inside and out push Ukraine towards federalization. Kiev authorities rightly feel they would swiftly lose their grip on power, should federalization occur.
While ethnically and linguistically extremely close, ideologically and culturally Ukraine has one of the most diverse populations. For such situation as in Ukraine, it seems federalization is the only solution in order to keep peace. But then the question immediately becomes: why be separate from Russia? Kiev rightfully fears that once Russian language is officially recognized as official, all of East and South of Ukraine will recall their Russian roots and ask to be re-united with Russia.
At the same time, parts of western Ukraine may drift off to Hungary, Slovakia or Poland. The danger is very high of the artificial state of Ukraine – created within present borders by Soviet leaders Lenin, Stalin and Khrushchev – disintegrating at the seams.
From the above we can see that in the post-Soviet space only Russia is able to keep its extremely diverse and multi-cultural population working together in peace and stability.

New documentary alert! Another recent Russian documentary that is highly recommended and must watch. This film is so good that I simply have to tell my readers about it!
Крым. Путь на Родину. Документальный фильм Андрея Кондрашова
Crimea. Road to Motherland (aka, Way Back Home). Film by Andrey Kondrashov
The film includes an eye-opening reconstruction of the events on Kiev maidan and how the participants of the Kiev anti-maidan from Crimea, who came to express their viewpoint, were brutally hunted down and eliminated (very little known and remembered violent suppression of an alternative point of view by the Ukrainian beacon of Western democracy). Events leading up to Crimea’s vote for independence, including attempts by well-trained thugs from Kiev maidan and groups of radical local Tatars to take over Crimea, how unarmed people rose against armed Ukrainian SBU and army, the appearance of the “little green men” and their role, how Ukrainian army switched to the Russian side; to top it all off, operation ‘Yanukovich’ – how Ukraine president had 30 minutes to live and how he was whisked away. The whole movie is punctuated with candid and super-revealing interviews with Vladimir Putin, who tells the truth as it is about his personal role and personal control over the Crimea events (incidentally, as I predicted from the start).
Way better than most thrillers! 2.5 hours watched with dated breath. 7 million have already watched this film on YT. Honestly, the best documentary I have seen.

NEW Intel and Predictions: Peace and War Crimes in Ukraine? Russian Gas or Cold Winter? Mrs. USA in Crimea?
Russian gas and peace: peace in Ukraine suddenly on the agenda as winter draws near
I am starting off with something unheard of before! Last night in Gorlovka, DNR, Novorossia (E. Ukraine) there was a joint PEACEFUL meeting of Ukraine army and Novorossia military commanders with the representatives of Russia and OSCE. Russia was represented by General Alexander Lentsov, Assistant Commander of Infantry of the Russian Federation. The military on all sides were discussing why ceasefire isn’t working – the civilian quarters are still being bombed. The participants were trying to solidify the ceasefire agreements. This info in Russian: starts at 2:20 to 4:40. Although no agreements were reached and Ukraine reps refused to talk to the media, the major breakthrough is that the military on both sides is at least willing to talk to each other, instead of shooting. Although this word wasn’t spoken, but in fact the military were discussing the new border between Novorossia and Ukraine, de-facto recognizing the new state.
De-facto Kiev already recognized our independence, says DNR head Zakharchenko. Video – Rus.
To say that such a meeting constitutes a massive breakthrough is to say nothing. I said in LRL4: Predictions Coming True; Mind Control in Ukraine that Ukraine and Novorossia will eventually have to agree on peace – they will have no choice. Incidentally, the closer we get to the winter, the more desperate the Ukraine/Kiev junta side will become to agree on something; the more malleable their position will become. Poroshenko may be a US stooge, but he is also an oligarch, hence survivor par excellence. He knows that if he doesn’t do everything he can so that his country can survive this winter, by next spring he will have another maidan on his hands, and he will have Yulia Tymoshenko breathing down his neck – and Yulia’s breathing is deadly. She is bound to topple Poroshenko on a new wave of public discontent. Poroshenko knows all about it, after all he was one of the original financiers and instigators of the 2004 Orange revolution, seen next to Yushchenko and Tymoshenko delivering victory speeches.
Of course the closer we get to winter, the more EU itself is sounding alarm bells. Both EU and Ukraine were audacious during warm months, when the need in Russian gas was low and reserves in both Ukraine and EU high. But come winter, the spread changes dramatically.
Prediction: the closer we get to winter, the more agreeable and malleable both EU and the Ukraine junta will become. I won’t be surprised if EU sanctions against Russia will be quietly forgotten and demurely set aside. “We were just joking,” they’ll say. “Can happen between the best of friends. Can you please allow our goods back into the Russian market? And can you please continue supplying us with Russian gas?” This process has already started.
I have this advise for Russia’s leadership: Don’t trust these announcements much. These are not the people to trust, they are the same neocons and neoliberals who were yelling that Russia was aggressor just several short months ago. Although, sure – dialogue is always a great idea. Talking and finding points of mutual agreement is what Russian diplomacy always excelled at. Of course the difficulty always was to find someone lucid enough on the other side to talk to. It seems only the FEAR of their own hardship can get some sense into the EU politicians. Obviously, the fact that their efforts to create the area of instability in Ukraine due to their ulterior motives, caused immense suffering and a brutal civil war, concerns them not. Absolutely the same process is happening in Ukraine, except there are even fewer people with whom it’s possible to reason in Kiev.
It will take time for the EU to truly change leadership, but it’ll happen. It will be a tedious and unpleasant process. The population of Europe has the power to change the EU leadership, therefore changing the continent’s course, but many are still duped by the MSM. Present day EU has been hijacked by the Transatlantic-centric neocons, and on the economic side, by US/UK-centric banksters. However, the awakening has started.
And of course, here it is! What do you know! During Berlin meeting between Russia, very worried EU, and clueless Ukraine, Ukraine promised to pay for a large portion of its $5bln+ gas debt to Russia. What’s new is that EU now gives personal guarantees that the Ukraine deadbeat will fulfil its promise. How sweet! As soon as the heating season starts looming, how much more agreeable the EU and Ukraine get! What an amazing metamorphosis from the summer bellicose and hateful rhetoric! Listen to this info in Russian, including charts: starts at 7:20.
After all this, is there any way to respect or treat seriously such people? Think not.
Gas price and Ukraine debt to Gasprom: Ukraine will get Russian gas if they pay $3.1 bln out of $5.3 bln they owe Gasprom. In the future gas supply will be pre-paid only; the price is $385, which is a compromise. This is a $100 discount to the EU gas price. In reality, many EU countries pay less, which depends on volume and how long-term their agreement with Gasprom is. But since Ukraine never made long-term agreements with Russia, and even the ones they had made, keep being broken, they are not eligible for discounts.
If Ukraine fulfills these requirements, it will receive 5bln cubic meters of gas, which should be enough for the winter… if it’s warm. The likelihood is that Ukraine may need much more gas, as they’ve been lying about their true gas reserves. In that case, they will likely start siphoning EU gas as it happened so many times before.
Let’s remember that just before being overturned by the maidan coup in February 2014, Yanukovich signed the deal with Russia according to which the nearly bankrupt Ukraine would have been getting the much-needed gas at $220. Belarus, the member of the Customs Union, gets Russian gas practically for free, at $180, making Belorussian economy very competitive compared to the EU. This in part accounts for the so-called “Belorussian miracle” – stability, great infrastructure, robust economy, etc. I might do a piece about that at some point. So, the inevitable conclusion is that it’s so much more profitable to be friends with Russia.
Let’s compare this to Ukraine and the 2014 violent Kiev coup under anti-Russian slogans. What did they achieve? They lost Crimea and at least Donbass. Donbass in 2013 was responsible for 30% of the Ukraine GDP. Grivna is drastically down despite Kiev cooking the books and world banksters being complicit in propping up the dying grivna. Inflation is skyrocketing. Ukraine is about to freeze in the winter.
Ukraine is selling strategic grain reserves
My intel also says this: due to the economic problems and the fact that coffers are empty, Ukraine is now exporting its strategic grain reserves. These reserves are usually kept intact because they are normally needed in the winter. The grain trains keep moving towards Mariupol. Mariupol is the Azov Sea port, one of the few suitable ports Ukraine has left (apart from Odessa and Ilichevsk – both in Odessa oblast + military port in Nikolaev). In Mariupol the grain gets loaded into ships and leaves the country. Another version is that the Kiev junta is trying to move the grain normally stored in eastern Ukraine to the western side of the country, anticipating that all of eastern Ukraine may be lost to them eventually and thus preparing to leave people without food in retaliation.
Either way, the result may be not only winter cold, but also hunger. This info is from Oleg Tsarev – former Rada deputy and presidential candidate, who is now the Speaker of the Novorossia parliament.
Mariupol is a bone of contention between Novorossia and Kiev. It is a city of 400,000 located in the Donetsk oblast. It has been occupied by the Kiev army since May. DNR says it belongs to Novorossia since it’s part of the Donetsk oblast. Kiev disagrees. Mariupol is a very important a valuable port for Novorossia, which would give them access to the Black Sea. I talk about it in LRL4: Predictions Coming True; Mind Control in Ukraine. In this episode, you’ll also find the detailed map of Ukraine, including Mariupol.
And another interesting thing to point out: where did all the talk about the US shale gas that would replace Russian gas go? Obviously, the EU did some number crunching and came to the inevitable conclusion that it wouldn’t work. Another interesting thing to note: the absolute silence of the US on the Ukraine and EU front, including the gas issue. Remember how vocal was the US until August that they would replace Russian gas with theirs?
I said in my prior article that US saw they were losing in Ukraine and they made a deal with Russia to quietly disengage from Ukraine in exchange for minor adjustments elsewhere from Russia’s side (I wouldn’t trust the US long-term, but for the time being – temporarily – it’s fine). Read more in My Latest Intel: Did US Lose in Ukraine? Is Putin the Best Russian Leader? Do People Prefer Conspiracies to Real Truth? All the above confirms my earlier intel.
EU was a part of the deal and now we are seeing that the EU starts acting differently in Ukraine, acting as one of the brokers for peace. But also notice how they are acting elsewhere: both UK and France are starting to bomb ISIS positions in the Middle East. All this is connected.
Rest assured that the real negotiations are still going on between Russia and US only, with EU playing the second fiddle and the point man, and Ukraine being used as loose change and cannon fodder (when will they finally learn?). I won’t say more at this point. Please read between the lines.
Atrocities by Kiev junta and Future International Tribunal
I have been predicting in my earlier articles that there will be an international tribunal that will convict Ukraine war criminals, just like the Nuremberg tribunal convicted the German Nazis. The people and governments of Russia, DNR and LNR, as well as elsewhere in Ukraine, are documenting the atrocities in the so-called White Book. Many names of those guilty have been identified. Eventually, all these materials will serve as proof for prosecution.
This is so horrible that I have a lot of trouble talking about it! The new gruesome discoveries of mass graves of tortured and killed civilians, with hands tied behind their backs and mutilated faces, are being discovered in E. Ukraine as the Kiev junta army retreats. This is so chilling and horrific that I decided not to post any links, except one. You can find much more material about these awful discoveries by Googling it or by searching on YouTube. Also go to RT.com – see my Resources page above for link.
These are some of the horrifying stories from RT:
A freed from junta village destroyed by the Kiev nazis: an old woman says that she survived by miracle when bomb hit her house. Mostly only old people are left, who have no place to go – all others took refuge in Russia. The woman says that her neighbor didn’t take the main road home once; she wanted to take a shortcut through the fields – and the Kiev national guard just shot her point-blank. When they were leaving, says the old lady, their tongues became loose and one confessed: “You should be thankful,” he said, “that we left you alive. We had orders to level your village completely and to kill everyone.”
Old people, who once survived WWII, are saying that German nazis didn’t behave as badly as these, who call themselves Ukrainians and who insist they want to live with their victims in the same state. This explains why Hitler himself was afraid of the ukro-nazis from the western Ukraine SS division Galichina and similar SS units.
Locals from the small towns that just got freed from the contemporary ukro-nazis testify that the occupiers would ride into town, enter a building and start crashing windows and everything in sight. Before leaving, they burned down all the books in the library and went in rooms, on walls and everywhere they could. For them, toilets apparently are superfluous.
This story of a man who came back alive, but branded, is going viral. It can probably be easily found on the net. The man was tortured with hot irons. They branded the huge word “separatist” across his entire chest. On his rear they branded him with a huge – I mean huge – swastika.
The Donbass self-defence had to stop the agreed upon exchange of prisoners. While self-defence was giving back real soldiers, the Kiev junta side was sabotaging the exchange: instead of fighters or activists it was sending simple civilians. Many of these civilians were kidnapped from their respective towns in other parts of the country when they were going about their business. They were tortured, made confess of something and then exchanged for the real nazi killers and military. Realizing that they were unwittingly enabling these kidnappings, the Novorossia government stopped the prisoner exchange till further notice.

I want to remind everyone that this is the regime that has been brought to power, wined and dined, fully supported, enabled and protected from justice by the US and EU! This is a fine illustration of what kind of democracy the Western governments spread all over the world!
Why Kiev junta doesn’t trust its own army and intelligence (SBU)
How can they! Let’s recall that since February-March 2014 (go to my articles under Ukraine category for that period) I said that at least part of Ukraine army is more likely to have allegiance to Russia than to the Kiev junta. That was said well before the gruesome war was initiated in E. Ukraine by the Kiev junta. My words proved true quickly when Crimea became Russian again and most of the Crimea’s contingent of the Ukraine navy and military switched to Russian side.
During the last few months, officers and soldiers in the Ukraine army, police and intelligence have been resigning in droves, deserting or defecting. The number of desertions constitutes by different accounts 1/4, or more, of the entire army.
Many are hiding from draft, or refuse to ship to E. Ukraine. Various reports have been surfacing of Ukraine national guard, consisting of known nazis and felons let out of jail, shooting those who refused to fight or who was caught trying to surrender to self-defence. They sometimes would shoot entire units and then bury them by the road, spraying acid on top so bodies couldn’t be identified.
The disaster in Ukraine army is such that many relatives have no idea if their loved ones are alive or dead. Thousands are MIA, most of these in fact victims of their own army. When all this is over, there will be lots of shocked and grieving people in Ukraine, and lots of explaining to do. The losses in Ukraine army, in big part by the hand of their own, will prove staggering. Once peace comes, this unpleasant disclosure will have to be made sooner or later, and this is one of the reasons some in Ukraine want to prolong the war for as long as possible.
That said, Ukraine army is quickly running out of cannon fodder, and that was one of the reasons they needed the present ceasefire. Meanwhile, more and more Ukraine soldiers are going public saying they were betrayed and left to die by their commanders. Recently, 400 conscripts from Western Ukraine took off in their ARCs and rode home. On another occasion, 200 from Vinnitsa in central Ukraine also simply abandoned their positions and went home to the relief of their families. More about that in LRL4: Predictions Coming True; Mind Control in Ukraine.
It has been shown that Ukraine’s army officers who hardly get paid, in order to survive have routinely sold the army hardware, weapons and munitions to Donbass self-defence. This was done for two reasons. First, to make money, and second – to earn future forgiveness when this Kiev junta is finished.
Same goes for intel. Ukraine army officers have been known to pass info about their position and movement, therefore allowing DNR and LNR self-defence to regroup and counter the attack, or take the unit prisoner. Intel by secret sympathisers allowed to surround and destroy some of the most hard-core and vicious national guard ukro-nazi battalions. This is one of the reasons they have been so successful in creating “cauldrons” – surrounding the Kiev troops. Regular Ukraine military hates national guard as much as the Donbass people.
In fact, the military in Ukraine see the writing on the wall. Some in the Ukraine army and SBU (intelligence) are trying to earn future exoneration of their past and present sins by playing double agent role.
New intel: Poroshenko and his cronies in the Kiev junta government have announced the “cleansing” of SBU – read, they don’t trust their own intelligence services due to the fact that some among them may be double agents. This isn’t being advertised, but it’s understood.
Remember the leaked phone conversations between Nuland and US Kiev ambassador where Nuland is heard ‘appointing’ Ukraine’s PM and other officials? This was also the conversation in which she said, “F**k EU.” Another leaked call was that of Tymoshenko where she said that all Russians living in eastern Ukraine must be nuked. Who leaked these conversations in social media? One of the prevailing opinions is that it came from the dissenting SBU officers. The Kiev junta has been on the hunt for these since the beginning. Poroshenko is starting a new round of ‘Gestapo-style final solution cleaning.’ These are trained spies though, and I seriously doubt they can be found out that easily.
Building Bridges: massive construction of the railroad bridge to Crimea and… Mrs. USA Pageant in Sevastopol
Video interview in Russian. Глава РЖД: Работы по строительству железной дороги через Керченский пролив уже ведутся.
Head of Russian Railways: ‘we are already conducting preliminary work to prepare for the construction of the railroad through the Kerch Strait to connect mainland with the Crimea. We were the first ones ready to start. The bridge through the Kerch Strait will be adopted for auto and railroad traffic. The initial railroad isn’t planned to be high-speed, although we will be able to adopt it for high-speed trains. It all depends on investments we receive.’
Due to the blockade by Ukraine, Crimea has a very limited connection with mainland Russia since there is no land border between the two. The only reliable traffic is via the Black Sea ferry and shipping service, but it’s not enough for the huge peninsula with 2 million population. The air traffic to Crimea, which is now effectively an ‘island,’ is being partially blocked by sanctions. If my readers remember I talked about the Russian budget airline that was sanctioned because it dared to fly to Crimea. Crimea is also suffering from the lack of investments as even Russian companies are afraid to do business with Crimea for fear of being cut off from SWIFT and Western loans, or for fear of personal sanctions against their top management. Same goes for Russian banks. Very few open branches in Crimea because of the same fear.
This situation is being resolved little by little and it will take time to normalize it. Of course, Russian companies think in terms of profit, just like any capitalist structure in the world.
However, this is being addressed slowly. One of the reasons for a relatively slow response is the unresolved situation in Ukraine. Ukraine 2-4 years from now will have a different management and direction, as we discussed in some of my prior articles. Russians would prefer to invest in Crimea when they know exactly what needs to be done in conjunction with the changed situation in Ukraine.
But the blockade is being slowly broken and the situation is about to change!
No, it’s not a joke, and you aren’t hallucinating! 😉 Mrs. USA pageant will take place, of all places, in Sevastopol, Crimea, Russia in the spring of 2015. It will be happening jointly with Mrs. Russia pageant. Sevastopol is the so-called ‘city of the Russian glory,’ and the seat of Russia’s Black Sea fleet. So, this may seem bizarre, and already voices are heard that this is a disgrace. However, in view of the blockade we discussed above, it’s a creative way to break through the wall of disinfo and lies.
Can you imagine how much this single pageant, incidentally, conducted together with the Russian pageant (and they are also discussing having other countries participating), will do to change the minds of the Americans about Crimea and Russia? And I can assure you, the Sevastopol backdrop is gorgeous and under-rated. It will do them good to open up to the world.
The organizer of the Mrs. USA contest admits that it was his idea. He himself has roots in Odessa and Belarus, where a lot of Russian jews lived historically. He also was on the organizer committee for the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics. In retaliation for the US and West boycotting the 1980 Moscow Olympics, USSR and other countries boycotted the 1984 US Olympics. He says he learned back then that boycotts and sanctions are a bad idea. I think this is admirable initiative, conducive of dialogue instead of fighting. As the Russian saying goes, poor peace is better than a good war.
However, this is what’s really going on behind the scenes. In fact, Mrs. USA contest in Crimea is none other than a signal that the West, and USA in particular, is going to play ball going forward. This is a confirmation of what I said in prior articles: USA made a deal and is ready to start slowly backing off from Ukraine. Let’s just say Mrs. USA in Crimea is a sort of olive branch. A few months from now, the West will start slowly disengaging from the anti-Russian sanctions, possibly sooner.
I have predicted this whole scenario, including US/EU threats and vilifying of Russia through anti-Russian media campaign, in article: Ukraine Part 6. Striking Geopolitical Similarities: Georgian War – Beijing2008 and Ukraine – Sochi2014 published on March 2, 2014. It’s well worth the read!
That said, Russians actually want sanctions to last longer. They don’t want them annulled. Do you know why? Russians know their national character – for them the status quo and stability is such an overriding principle that they need an external push to start the badly needed economic reforms to tear the Russian economy away from the Western influence. This is because the karmic and historic role of Russia as the global balancer and harmonizer is firmly imbedded in national psyche. This is a truly admirable national feature, however, under the circumstances and whenever change is needed it becomes a problem.
The fear is that the moment sanctions are over they may get complacent again, striving to preserve balance. Sanctions, or any negative actions by the West are a much-needed kick in the rear.
My advice and wish for the Russians: when sanctions are over, don’t stop, keep going and keep reforming the economy to fit the advanced future society model. Hint: it’s not capitalism. For more on this see PREDICTIONS above. I will also discuss this in detail in future EARTH SHIFT REPORTS. For an interesting angle on this also see my recent article: Multipolar World and Deja Vu.
One of my readers recently asked me why Russia isn’t more forceful in recognizing Novorossia (DNR and LNR). Don’t they want to save the people of Donbass? I responded that of course they do, but for Russia the dilemma is how to save the entire Ukraine, not just Donbass. How to create the situation in the whole Ukrainian territory when, as the saying goes, “the wolves are fed and the lambs are safe.” This is a very tall order, but as I predicted previously, there will be great changes in Ukraine between 2016 and 2018. See more in Predictions.
This is tied into building the infrastructure for the Crimea, as well as the Prindestrovie and Moldova issues. I’ve talked about what is happening in Moldova in LRL2: LadaRayLive 2. Explosion Coming! Moldova/Transnistria – Eurasian Union vs EU. I will have a very interesting special report on Pridnestrovie (Transnistria) soon.

LRL1: Inaugural Episode of LadaRayLive Is Here! Crimea’s Scythian Gold; MH17; Russian Sanctions – Global Consequences
We are pleased to announce that the inaugural episode of my new show, Lada Ray Live, is finally here!
Watch on YouTube in HD!
LadaRayLive 1. Crimea’s Scythian Gold; MH17; Russian Sanctions – Global Consequences
We discuss several closely related topics that all have common players: Russia, USA, Ukraine, EU and Holland. What happened to the Scythian gold from Kiev that was shipped off by Yatsenyuk to the US? Why is Holland refusing to give the Crimean Scythian gold back to the rightful owners – the Crimean museums? MH17 false flag with pictures. Global shift as a result of the Russian agriculture/food sanctions. In conjunction with the above, my co-host Az and I also touch upon the situation in Caucasus, including the Nagorny Karabakh Donbass-like conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and how Putin managed to defuse it using peaceful diplomacy. We talk about the history and geopolitics of the Crimea, its aspiration to reunite with Russia, anti-NATO movement in Sevastopol and more. We discuss why the largest in Europe, new American embassy was built in… Kiev. We also talk about how Ukrainian gold was shipped off by Yatsenyuk to the US from the Kiev Borispol Airport.
We also talk about the two poster boys of the Western anti-Russian propaganda: Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the Nobel Prize winner and author of Archipelago GULAG, and his experiences in the US, as well as the fate of Boris Pasternak, the Nobel Prize winner and author of Doctor Zhivago.
Please let me know what you think!
