25th Anniversary of Destruction: USSR Breakup and its Fallout
Today, December 8, 2016, the world marks 25th anniversary of the event the vast majority of the Russian World considers a tragic date. On December 8, 1991 leaders of three Slavic Soviet Republics, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, called the Three Sisters, signed the infamous Belovezhskaya Pushcha Accords, which effectively dissolved the USSR, establishing instead the still-born Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The accords sanctified what Putin later called ‘the largest humanitarian catastrophe of the second half of the 20th century.’
The internet, Russian and post-Soviet media have been flooded with various videos and articles, which explain and judge, from their point of view, the events of that day. Many still try to come to terms and understand what happened; many have condemned this day and those who signed the breakup: Russian SSR head Boris Yeltsin, Ukrainian SSR head Shevchuk and Belorussian SSR head Shushkevich.
Between December 7 and 8, 1991, the host of the secret event, Shushkevich, received the other two at his Belovezhskaya Pushcha hunting residence. The gathering and the document signed were so hush-hush that to type up the text of the breakup agreement the trio needed to bring in a typist from the nearby village, along with her typing machine.
Shushkevich later recalled that as soon as the three shook hands, Yeltsin called the US President George Bush. He reported (!): ‘We did it. The USSR is dead.’ But none of the three called legal head of the Soviet Union, President Gorbachev.
Doing its job, Belorussian KGB found out about what amounted to treason, and reported the situation to Moscow. Gorbachev told them to await his command and do nothing. The command to arrest the conspirators never arrived. Four days later, Gorbachev resigned his post as the first and only president of the USSR.
How different the fates of the three signatories of the USSR breakup have been!
Yeltsin is no longer living; in 1999, he publicly apologized to the Russian people for everything he’d done and named Putin as his successor.
Kravchuk, using his position as the first president of Ukraine, managed to steal many millions, but nothing like today’s oligarchs. The ex-leader of the Communist Party of Ukraine, he betrayed his party and his people and turned into a prime Russophobe, creating, with Soros financing, the first version of falsified Ukrainian history – but again, nothing like today’s Kiev junta. Kravchuk continues living very comfortably in today’s ukro-nazi version of Ukraine, which he supports.
Shushkevich still lives in Belarus, hated by his country’s citizens and afraid to show up in public. Belarus President Lukashenko personally authorized the pension for Shushkevich, as ex-president of Belarus, in the amount of… $1.
The condemnation and demands for trial have been leveled against the three Belovezhskaya Pushcha signatories. The accusations of treason are also leveled against then president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev. Gorbachev has been the darling of the West, rewarded many times over for his role in the USSR breakup and many disastrous for Russia political decisions. Hated by many Russians, today, he spends his time justifying his actions in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
My readership is mainly English-speaking and very international, and I love it this way! Most of my readers live in North America and generally in the West, although much of the world is represented. So, the question becomes, why should something that happened 25 years ago in the now defunct USSR be interesting to an average person, when there are crucial events happening in the US and EU as we speak: Trump election, vote recounts, Hillary scandals and the uncertainty of the Electoral College vote on December 17; various anti-EU forces may come to power in Italy and the Netherlands, Brexit may have a continuation in Italexit and more…
Considering this, why would any of my readers be interested in ‘ancient’ history? Why would anyone, apart from historians, be looking back?
Very simple: what happened in the USSR in the late 1980s-early 1990s – in other words, Russia’s past – is in fact the West’s future.
Smart people learn from the past? They learn from others’ mistakes so to avoid making their own? Yes, this is true. When you have control over your future… However, there are things in this world that are set in stone. Call it karma or destiny – the two esoteric, spiritual notions that always go hand in hand. Many are afraid of such words, believing only that which they can touch and see.
But here, on FuturisTrendcast and on LadaRay.com, we go well beyond the obvious. This is the basis for Lada Ray’s Spiritual Geopolitics and Multidimensional Universe theory. And this is how I predict the future.
I want to tell you that I agree and disagree with much of what Russian and post-Soviet analysts say about the breakup and the ’90s. I understand very well the emotional response and the desire to go back to those times, to the inviting, albeit maligned in the West, country, now remembered by many with nostalgia and longing.
However, my view is multidimensional and original. You won’t be surprised that it goes well beyond what others tell you. I’ll share my view on what really happened in the USSR in 1991, why it was pre-destined and how it is connected to today’s Earth Shift and the slow collapse of the US and EU, in the upcoming live webinars.
PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT!
Due to the fact that I foresee many important changes happening in the West and worldwide in the next 3-5 years and beyond, in 2017 I am preparing some very important Lada Ray Webinars. During these live events I’ll spell out in detail what I foresee. I’ll also talk about how the USSR and Western collapses are different, and why so many gurus have been wrong about the timing, nature and details of the US and dollar collapse. Will Trump be able to prevent the collapse, and much more will be discussed.
Please stay tuned for official announcements about my webinars, to be posted in January 2017!

To mark this black calendar date, as they’d say in Russia, I’m posting excerpts from ESR2 and ESR3.

For Russia, Ukraine isn’t a far away, god forsaken land that could be thrown out and forgotten after it has been used up. It is something that is very close and important indeed. US understood that, and that was the reason they latched on to Ukraine.
Certainly, US wanted revenge for Snowden and Syria, as well as for other fiascos, such as the Georgia war and failed Iran invasion, prevented by Russia in 2008. It is also a preemptive strike against Russia and China developing the BRICS and shifting away from the dollar. Most importantly, it is the strike against the new Eurasian Union, launched on January 1, 2015, now joined by Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia, with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan slanted to join soon. Despite the fact that all these countries, apart from Russia, have small economies, it is the Eurasian space that counts. Remember: “He who controls Eurasia, controls the world,” per Zbigniew Brzezinski.
Russians never made any secret of the fact that without Ukraine there can be no fully functioning Eurasian Union. Ukraine had a standing invitation to join. US had to do everything to prevent Ukraine from joining. This was the most important reason for the 2014 euro-maidan and subsequent violent Kiev coup.
USSR BREAKUP AND ITS FALLOUT
Russians also never made any secret of their firm belief that the Russian people are the biggest divided ethnicity on our planet as a result of the 1991 split up of the USSR. The split-up is widely acknowledged to be an illegal handshake agreement between Yeltsin and the two ‘leaders’ of Belarus and Ukraine. Most others, except the Baltics, which seceded before that, just followed suit.
After the hand-shake split up of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in 1991, the initial idea was to re-create the Commonwealth of the Independent States where the republics would be able to interact and continue enjoying the same economic, cultural and political relationships as before, but voluntarily and without being obligated to do so. This was extremely naïve. In reality, once you destroy something – expect external interests and personal ambitions of local powers that be to move into the void left behind. Western interests were in immediately. Local politicians and the newly born class of oligarchs finally felt free from centralized oversight that kept them in check. Together these forces began the process of trying to separate from the “Mother Russia.” The reason for that is very easy to understand: for those who crave power at any cost, and who don’t care for the well-being of their people and country, it is better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond.
Myths were invented, as we are seeing now in Ukraine, that they were separate, and never even close to Russia in any shape or form. But that wasn’t enough, since the influence and pull of the Russian and Soviet culture continued being overwhelming.
For the many people living on the territory of these republics, and not just Russians, Belorussians and Ukrainians, but also members of other ethnicities who didn’t plan to break up, it became an utter shock and something they never made peace with. It became a gaping wound and severe confusion and abandonment issues, together with resentment against Russia, developed out of it. That gaping hole of confusion and resentment, plus severe money shortage as a result of the ‘90s crisis and oligarch privatization was quickly filled by the US/EU/Polish propaganda, Islamic fundamentalism, extreme nationalism, and fascism – depending on the area of the former USSR. This was in fact unavoidable.
Many have been blaming Russia for not taking care to stay in the former republics, at least informationally. But the truth is that Russia really never left the republics informationally. Russian presence remained in cultural form, primarily through TV, radio, movies and papers. Russian TV programming was, and continues being, offered in most former republics, except perhaps the Baltics, and as of 2014, also Ukraine. Even in the Baltics it hasn’t been absent entirely, since those interested could always catch some shows from nearby St. Petersburg.
And we can confidently say that the pull and influence of the Great Russian culture was, and continues being, very strong.
However, Russia, since the ‘90s was fighting demons of her own. And that generated even more confusion for the rest of the republics. All of a sudden the underpinning of their mutual relationship, that thing that united everyone: the common past and common achievements as part of the USSR, the common language and culture – suddenly all that became a big question mark as Russians themselves questioned their own heritage.
This was the incredibly fertile ground for the blossoming of the extreme and sometimes violent nationalism in each of these territories. Depending on the region, such nationalism would often turn into a violent denial of anything to do with the USSR and Russia. The best known forms of such violent ultra-nationalism are: the ‘mild euro-fascism’ of the Baltics; the ukro-nazis together with the Kiev junta in Ukraine; Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism fed by al-Qaeda and financed by US/UK/Saudis in Chechnya and Northern Caucasus; roaming bands of drug traffickers in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, who seep through porous Afghani borders, covering up their activities with extreme Islam slogans.
Understanding all that, US targeted the vulnerabilities and vices. Confusion, resentment, greed, pride and deep-seated unresolved issues are the weapons the US uses all over the world. Ukraine proved to be an extremely easy target.
Why Ukraine?
After the breakup of the USSR, the majority of Ukrainians had identity confusion, some feeling abandoned by Russia, others angry and violent, yet others trying to find an alternative vision for their country. As the dark forces in the form of oligarchs and various criminals took over, the western Ukraine nazis started a slow crawling invasion. More and more of them were moving into the traditionally Russian speaking and Russian thinking areas, such as Kharkov, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk. Extremist Jewish organization called Chabad moved into Ukraine and started spreading its influence as well.
MSM, NGOs, school history books were changed to reflect the ‘Russia is the invader and enemy of Ukraine’ hoax. Before long, a new generation of Russia-hating Russians and Malorussians (often referred to as Ukrainians) emerged. But even that didn’t convert enough people as still in 2007 the Gallup poll indirectly confirmed that Russian was the native language and first language choice for over 80% of Ukrainians.
Still, the mass pre-programming was quietly sitting, waiting to be activated. This Manchurian Candidate programming was turned on like a switch when the signal was given. The signal was the Kiev euro-maidan and the February 22, 2014 coup. After that, the relatively reasonable Ukrainians quickly turned into Russian-speaking, Russian-culture Russophobes and Russia-bashers.
The shadow CIA chief, George Friedman (Stratfor CEO) has recently openly admitted that pitting different countries against each other with the idea of weakening other countries in order to advance US interests worldwide was the US weapon of choice. The good old divide and conquer.
TRAITORS WANTED! BIG MONEY FOR SELLING OUT YOUR COUNTRY
Next, a new class appeared in these republics. They still cared about being a big fish in a small pond, but even more so, they cared for big, big money – and for something else.
Enter the US. According to Victoria Nuland, Assistant US State Secretary in charge of Eurasia (US State Dept) and well-known neocon, US spent $5bln so subvert Ukraine. She bragged about that during the Washington Press Club meeting in December 2013. The videos of her bragging were initially posted all over YouTube, but soon they disappeared. However, millions managed to see them and spread the word before they vanished.
Note, $5 bln is just the official number! How much was paid quietly, under the table, through slush funds? How much was funneled through NGOs? How much went through the Soros foundation? How much went through Chabad? Who did the US pay these astronomical amounts to? The names aren’t a big secret.

Collapse: Post-Soviet Republics vs Russia
To understand the background of the Ukrainian situation and its artificial Russophobia, it’s useful to look at other post-Soviet republics.
During Soviet days, the neighboring Moldova was in mint condition due to constant infusions of resources by the Russian Federation – the same thing that happened in Ukraine and other Soviet republics. Brezhnev in particular had a soft spot for Moldova as he worked there at one point. Originally, Brezhnev was from Ukraine, and he heavily invested in Ukraine as well. Russia promoted local cultures and heavily invested into industrialization of ALL 14 Soviet republics, including in large part the Baltics: Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. The same ones who love to talk about how “Russians oppressed them.”
After the USSR collapse, Russia withdrew from all former republics to deal with her own problems, and as a result most republics quickly became poor and destitute.
Moldova’s elections are coming up and the country is being torn between the EU and Eurasian Union. While the majority of the population wants to be a part of the Eurasian Union, the elites are dragging the country towards EU and towards absorption by Romania. The amount of anti-Russian propaganda in Moldova is mind-boggling as well. In 1990-1992 Moldova went through today’s Ukraine scenario, on a smaller scale. The result was that the richest, most industrialized and productive part of then Moldavian SSR, Pridnestrovie, seceded. Presently, other parts of Moldova are threatening to secede, especially Gagauzia and the north. (Find more on that in Lada Ray YT Channel videos).
Incidentally, neither Latvia nor Estonia ever existed as separate states. These were territories that passed from Germany and Sweden to Russia as a purchase or based on a peace treaty. I could go much deeper in history, but suffice it to say that it was Lenin, who for the first time gave Latvia and Estonia a status of independent ‘states.’ These ‘states’ only exist thanks to Lenin’s decree. Others, such as Ukraine, only existed as ‘Soviet Socialist Republics’ in the context of the Soviet Union. Lenin was the ‘founding father’ of their respective nations. It’s interesting that instead of adoring Lenin, all these ‘independent and democratic nations’ hate him pretty viciously and destroy his monuments. Just shows the level of reasons and lucidity of these people.
Out of 14 republics (excluding the Russian Federation), only Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, and perhaps also Turkmenistan, managed to preserve their Soviet-built enterprises, making them pay in the new era. Belarus also managed to build and expand on its Soviet heritage, creating the so-called ‘Belorussian miracle.’ Belarus succeeded due to a cozy relationship with Russia, therefore getting gas at heavily discounted prices, making its exports very competitive. The latter three did well enough due to their own huge reserves of oil and gas, previously discovered and industrialized by Russia.
Another location that managed to preserve its Soviet inheritance is the break-away republic of Pridnestrovie (formerly part of Moldavia) – but without any oil or gas.
The rest squandered their Soviet inheritance to various degrees. However, like spoiled brats, some of them blamed Russia for their own mistakes and thievery. The spoiled brats in this case are Georgia, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine. These are all former republics that look to the West. When the USSR fell apart they lost Russia as that ‘parent’ that took care of them, oftentimes spoiling them by giving them more than leaving for herself. Now brats want to latch onto the next ‘surrogate parent’ – EU. The goal is to take, giving little in return. However, the West doesn’t work that way. They won’t give anything for free, in fact they like to take more than they give. Meanwhile, Russia also learned her lesson and doesn’t want to squander her resources for nothing any more.
Thus, the countries that are used to latching on to someone stronger are left in the cold. This breeds irrational hatred that can be maliciously manipulated.
Here is a crucial point to understand about Russia! Unlike the Western empires, such as UK, US, Spain and France, who looted and drained resources of those countries they conquered, Russia drained herself to give to her satellites. Such imbalance had to end badly: on Russia’s side, due to the resentment of the core Russian population; on the side of the republics, due to their sense of absolute entitlement.
As a result, in the 1990s – 2000s, a very strange situation developed, when Russia still supplied Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova with gas, based on the heavily subsidized Soviet-entitlement-style prices, and in return, Russia got bashing, backstabbing and direct provocations from said republics. At the very same time, large parts, if not most populations of these republics spoke Russian and lived off Russian tourism and banking.
A great example of this is the Baltics: Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The same three Baltic republics, plus Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia, while displaying animosity and openly threatening Russia with NATO expansion, happily continued exporting massive amounts of their products to Russia. This ended recently when Russia adopted a new import policy and embargo.
Subsidizing all these republics was all fine and good while USSR was doing well, but since it took away the resources from Russia proper and gave them disproportionately to the periphery, discontent grew in Russia just before and during the USSR collapse. This generated a desire to be separate from the former ethnic republics in Russia proper, which didn’t help with the general relationship with said republics. Russia eventually recovered and started doing on average better than during Soviet times, thus proving that Russian resources had been indeed drained by the periphery subsidies.
But at the same time that Russia withdrew from the republics, US advisors, Soros, NGOs and NWO neocon/neoliberal influences moved in. Presently, we are observing the disastrous results of Russia’s withdrawal from the geopolitically important territories.
However, eventually the pull of Russia, affinity with her culture and worldview, combined with the economic benefits of working in Russia, proved to be so enormous that before long, massive numbers of immigrants from former Soviet republics flooded Russian cities and countryside.
The ignorant president of the USA, Obama, in a speech designed to calm down the Baltics (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania), recently stated that Russia is so bad that no one wants to live there.
In reality, Russia is #2 country in the world for immigration after USA. At this rate, it will become #1 pretty soon. Massive numbers of residents of various post-Soviet republics work in Russia as guest workers. This especially concerns Ukraine (5.5mln Ukrainians out of arguably 39 million population: 45mln minus 2mln in Crimea and 4 mln in DNR and LNR) and Moldova (700,000+ out of 3.6 mln population). Kyrgyzstan and Armenia numbers are even higher as 1/2 of the population or more work in Russia. Large numbers immigrate from Georgia, Korea, and Central Asia. There are over 3 million Chinese immigrants in Russia. There is growing immigration from the West as well.
Meanwhile, up to 1/2 of the population of the Baltics immigrated to the West. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are empty.
Western Propaganda in Ukraine; how Hatred Was Ignited and Maintained
The Western style propaganda war was unleashed in the oligarch and Western NGO-controlled Ukrainian media throughout the 1990s and 2000s. It has culminated between 2004 Orange Revolution and now. Soros-sponsored history books rewrote the entire history of Ukraine to prove that Ukrainians were completely separate from Russians. Western-trained journalists and Western-sponsored newspapers and TV have been promoting “western values’ and bashing anything Russian for over 20 years.
Most journalists from Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries were trained in Poland. Poland acted, and still does, as the massive training camp for anti-Russian media, opposition politicians and color revolutionary training (meaning how to throw Molotov cocktails more effectively and how to set buildings on fire). Trainers in these training seminars and camps are almost exclusively American, Canadian or British. Russian TV did some stories on these secret seminars held oftentimes in an inconspicuous Polish neighborhood. They obtained the lists of instructors with clearly English-sounding names. When they tried to film the inside through the window or glass door, the curtains would be drawn immediately or the door barricaded – all that caught on film.
As some of you may recall, just recently Poland was also implicated in the secret CIA prison and illegal torture scandal. CIA kidnapped people by thousands and shipped them to Polish secret prisons, where US torture laws didn’t apply, in violation, I might add, of the EU laws.
As a result of this massive subversion of Ukraine, the old spites have been brought out of the woodwork and spun in the media to suit agendas alien to simple Ukrainians. Most of these spites belonged to the western-Ukraine nazis, humiliated as a result of their defeat in WWII together with Hitler; others were the old spites of Poland or Lithuania whose past imperial ambitions were defeated more than once by Russia. These irrelevant spites were imposed on the rest of Ukraine.
It is clear that $5 billion Victoria Nuland was bragging about that US spent ‘to subvert Ukraine,’ wasn’t all they spent over the years. They had to pay off the sell-out journalists, fiction ‘history’ book creators, politicians, and let’s not forget the equipping, training and financing the ukro-nazis from western Ukraine.
The West also had to feed the greediest of them all: Ukraine oligarchs who have been controlling and strangling the poor Ukraine since 1991. Poroshenko – real name Valtsman – is one of them. Valtsman Sr., the father of the Ukraine president, was an underground millionaire and crook from Odessa, who served several years in jail for stealing goods by the trainload during Soviet times. Greed runs in the family.
Incidentally, Ukraine’s president Poroshenko is one of the oligarchs controlling the media. He famously said that he would never sell the Channel 5 he owns. Here is the fact he doesn’t even try to hide: through his Channel 5 he had been influencing the public opinion during the 2004 Orange Revolution, throughout the 2014 Maidan and subsequent presidential election. So do a handful of other oligarchs controlling the country.
The scale of the lies of the Ukraine media can only be compared to the German Nazi propaganda. Some believe they have gone much further. As much as the Western MSM propaganda is mind-boggling, Ukraine today takes the cake. Russians are constantly accused of invasion, despite the fact that to this day, not a shred of evidence, nor a single picture, footage, or any other conclusive document has been presented. Ukraine MSM routinely lies, showing the Donbass self-defense, consisting of local citizens and volunteers from other countries, including Serbia, France and Spain, and calling it Russian troops. Kiev MSM routinely lies that the Donbass self-defense has shot at local citizens (their own families, in other words) and blew up their own houses. With that, the footage shown would be that of the destruction caused by the Ukraine army shelling. According to the Kiev media, the mass graves found in Donbass occurred because those people killed themselves with their hands tied behind their backs, then neatly dug out graves and buried themselves. Why hasn’t Himmler thought of this! Yeah, I forgot, Himmler was a bit smarter than that.
Meanwhile, Ukraine army openly hired well-paid mercenaries, including those from Poland, Georgia, Romania, Sweden, and other Western countries. Some of these mercenaries bombed innocent civilians in Donbass. Per reports, various US advisors still work by thousands in Ukraine.
At the same time, Ukrainians started officially referring to Russians as ‘Moskali’ – derogatory ‘from Moscow.’ By that logic, citizens of Siberia are also from Moscow. This is a direct attempt to incite hatred. This is also done to diminish anyone who is Russian – after all, Moscow is rather small compared to the entire Russian territory.

McDonald’s Exposed: Disappearing McNugget and Never-Spoiling Happy Meal
I hear McNuggets are all the rage in America and beyond. In my 20+ years of living in the US I never had any desire whatsoever to try McNuggets, or a Happy Meal (which I would rather call a ‘Gruesome Death Meal’).
True, once my hubby and I were stuck late at night on a highway hours from home. Just so we could continue going, we stooped to (oops, Freudian slip – meant ‘stopped at’) the only establishment available: McDonald’s. We ordered their new ‘healthy and organic’ option – salad. Plus, I couldn’t resist ordering a piece of apple pie and tea. We were both sick for a week after. This was my first and last encounter with McDonald’s.
The case of the disappearing McNugget and the never-spoiling Happy Meal time-lapse experiment vids in the post linked below are literally to die for! In fact, it’s amazing that more people don’t die after regularly consuming such ‘happy meals.’ Although it’s not hard to guess where the overwhelming obesity problem, cancer and diabetes in the US come from.
By the way, who said McDonald’s was about food? It’s about profit – yes. But it’s as much about geopolitics and population control, both internal and external. McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, along with Monsanto’s GMO and pesticides, are all about geopolitics and global domination.
In conclusion, I’ll leave you with two things:
1. I am experiencing a certain sense of deja vu. A few years before the USSR collapsed the number of overweight people in the country increased dramatically. USA follows in the USSR footsteps, except… people in the US are much more overweight, indicating a larger collapse.
2. My advice. If it smells too good to be true… In order to determine whether you should or shouldn’t eat certain food, calibrate! I know I promised new videos on Calibrations of Consciousness, including various examples. These are coming later this summer on Lada Ray Channel.
Just to give you some idea of what we are talking about, here are some telling calibrations: regular Coke 20 (shame), diet Coke 100 (fear), Happy Meal 85 (grief), McNuggets 10 (shame-near death). In my videos about calibrations you will see that the minimum life-sustaining calibration is 200. See these videos in the ProjectEarthShift playlist. Or watch individually:

Mmmm, I’m McLovin it?
Predictions: The beginning of the EU End? When Will Greece Exit EU? Who Is Next?
Bravo and congratulations to the left-wing SYRIZA party for spectacularly winning the Greek elections!
My brief predictions (I may expand on them later):
This is the beginning of an end of the EU!
What is fascinating is that in this resistance to the EU and US dictate, the most unlikely forces get united: from far left to the very radical right; from spiritual people to simple farmers and big industrialists. This is because the present day US/dollar-centric ‘world order’ makes no sense to anyone, and just about anyone who has two brain cells to rub against each other wants change.
However, it will take perhaps a few years for Greece to exit the EU due to how entangled the economic and financial situation is and how much pressure Greece receives from Brussels, Germany (which stands to lose most), and France. And don’t forget the NATO pressure; plus, the biggest monster of them all – the United States!
I see Greece exiting the EU around 2016 or 2017. This event is set in stone and is just the matter of time: GREECE WILL EXIT THE EU!
More defections are on the horizon, including Italy, France, UK, Hungary, among others.
Many smaller Eastern European countries are desperate to exit the EU, but they are practically enslaved by Germany, as they say, and can’t get out. Even Italians complain that they had been enslaved by Germany, remembering with nostalgia the good old non-EU days, and confessing how much they hate Merkel.
That said, many Germans also understand very well what is happening, as we discussed in a number of previous articles.
The whole thing will implode and exodus out of EU will become a stampede by the 2020s. This will be an interesting deja vu of the implosion of the USSR.
At the same time, more and more countries will want to join a union with Russia and become part of Eurasian Union and SCO. Once 2020s roll in, you won’t recognize the world around us!
As I said in my last piece, West Invaded Ukraine: English-Speakers, NATO Troops Fight for Kiev Junta in Mariupol!, the deeper US/NATO/EU dig their claws into the poor Ukraine, trying so hard to destroy it in order to harm Russia, the harder they will fall in the end.
Incidentally, did I mention that both Greeks and Italians love Russians, and en masse support Putin and Russia. I just spoke with various people from both countries. They are also very much anti-Kiev junta, and anti-fascism in Ukraine and EU. An average person on the street understands correctly what is happening in Ukraine. Moreover, today, TV in both Greece and Italy is showing a pretty truthful account of the events in Ukraine.
The Italians are incredulous and angry that US/EU/Kiev would bomb people, blockade cities, deny pensions, and destroy infrastructure in E. Ukraine. My sister residing in Italy (who is originally from the Russian city of the ship-builders Nikolaev, located not far from Odessa – both for now a part of Ukraine), as well as my other sources, confirm that. Similar opinions are coming from the people of other countries, including Cyprus, Albania, Romania.
The people all over eastern and southern Europe know what is going on. They also hate the anti-Russian sanctions and confrontation with Russia. For now they think they can’t do anything about it. But the discontent is brewing and status quo will change!

TEN FACTS about Cold War, Bretton Woods, US dollar, NATO and Pentagon everyone should know!
Ten facts about Cold War, Bretton Woods, US dollar, NATO and Pentagon everyone should know!
1. As soon as WWII was over, the new Cold War was initiated by US and UK against Russia/Soviet Union following the nuclear ‘stick’ demo (as Truman called it) via the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, and the Fulton speech by Churchill.
2. That’s on the surface. The truth beneath it: Cold War was started by US/UK because USSR refused to ratify the Bretton Woods Accord. Bretton Woods sanctified the future global dollar dominance and established IMF, thus creating current US-dollar-based neo-colonial system.
3. Warsaw Pact (Treaty for Friendship, Co-operation, and Mutual Assistance), created by the USSR in response to NATO and Cold War, was disbanded BEFORE the USSR fell apart. NATO not only didn’t disband after Cold War was over, but kept expanding to Russia’s borders.
4. USSR was instrumental in reuniting Germany. Russian troops LEFT East Germany in 1989 – again, well before the collapse of the USSR! AMERICAN troops occupy ALL of Germany to this day!
5. Two solemn promises were made by Bush Sr. and his cronies to Gorbachev and Russia: 1. NATO will never expand into Eastern Europe; 2. Unified Germany will not be a part of NATO. BOTH PROMISES WERE PROMPTLY BROKEN AND CONTINUE BEING BROKEN EVERY DAY!
6. US is, and always was (together with UK), the driving force behind NATO. Many Western European countries complain about the pressure US applies to elicit their participation in military conflicts around the world. That’s not to say EU countries don’t have their own ulterior motives, but the driving force, the glue keeping this aggressive alliance together is undeniably Washington.
7. Since WWII, US bombed over 30 countries. Here is an incomplete list. The country missing is Iraq in 2003-present (including the current ISIS-related bombings). Syria is under constant threat of being bombed by US and NATO. US regularly conducts several wars at once in different parts of the globe.
8. Presently, US troops are stationed in 150 countries and cover 75% of the planet. Video by RT.
9. US military budget is MORE than military budgets of all other countries on planet Earth combined.
10. The US-dollar-based neo-colonialism is maintained by three forces whose illegal activities aren’t even concealed any more: 1) US army and the threat of US force; 2) Economic sabotage and blackmail of those countries that dare to conduct independent policy; 3) Clandestine operations, including: NSA surveillance gathering dirt on world’s politicians to later blackmail them, false flags, color revolutions, and CIA black ops.
CONCLUSIONS
At this time, NATO, and its driving force, USA, has the ambition of absorbing the former Soviet republics such as Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, thus attempting to surround Russia with NATO bases located in Russia’s backyard. It is universally known that NATO bases so near Russia’s borders destroy the balance of power in Europe, threatening Russia directly.
Conflicts in Ukraine, and earlier in 2008 in Georgia, were instigated and supported by the US/EU specifically to try to tilt the balance of power further in their favor. In their clandestine attempts to weaken and destroy Russia, they use local ultra-nationalist/fascist forces with grudges against Russia.
It is well-known that US never won a war since WWII, and even that one was won practically single-handedly by the USSR, while US mostly tagged along. On the other hand, Russia practically never lost a war – the exception is the financial Cold War, in which Russia was simply swindled.
The conclusions here are very important! From the above we can conclude that US/UK are very good at swindling and at using others as cannon fodder. Consequently: NATO expansion is dangerous primarily for the gullible countries of Europe, Ukraine and Georgia. Europeans should have already learned their lessons from past experiences. Will they ever?
P.S. Interesting bit: former US-installed president of Georgia Saakashvili, infamous for attacking South Ossetia, which resulted in South Ossetia together with Abkhazia seceding, has been sentenced in his country in absentia for treason, embezzlement and exceeding authority. International warrant has been issued for his arrest. Saakashvili is presently residing in Brooklyn and US refuses to give him up. However, they do keep him on a short leash as his application for permanent residency has been so far denied. It certainly would have been too obvious if they did approve his permanent residency.
On a separate note, Saakashvili is ‘plotting his triumphant return’ to Georgia not from just anywhere, but from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Any New Yorker would have a good laugh at this, I am sure. Williamsburg is not what I’d call a sexy place to be. It’s a very traditional Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, with bizarre outfits and 10 kids per family… Does that mean his US handlers aren’t paying him enough for a decent place, or is it easier to be invisible? I can certainly think of a number of reasons why he would be hiding there.
Present rulers of Ukraine may want to take good notice of the above.

During the daily US State Department briefing, journalist calls Chuck Hagel, US and NATO’s bluff following their recent claims that Russia is on the doorstep of NATO. Prediction: Is Kiev-Style Maidan Possible in St. Petersburg?
Scott Hogan2h writes on Lada Ray Blog: “Hi Lada, love your blog and this most recent interview. Just wondering if you’ve seen this youtube video about plans for St. Petersburg this September. And, if you have, what are your thoughts on it from your perspective on things on the horizon. Thanks, Scott.” Link to the video by Russian Duma deputy, Evgeny Fedorov: There will be Maidan in St Petersburg.
I find this to be a very good question. Yes, I’ve seen the original video a few months ago, when it first appeared.
Background: Evgeny Fedorov is the leader of the NOD – People’s Liberation Movement of Russia. He had lived through the wholesale looting of the country in the 1990s. What’s important, he was a Russian Duma Deputy even back than. Here is the way he describes what was happening at the time in Russia. There was an AMERICAN supervisor (commissar, using Russian terminology) who was assigned to every politician, head of every organization, every company, etc. ALL decisions on all levels had to be CLEARED with the American commissar assigned to them. In short, in the ’90s Russia was a fully occupied country, with no voice and no ability to move a muscle without clearing it with a Western supervisor. Russia in the ’90s was what Ukraine is today.
I’ll be honest with you, dear readers. Having written the above phrase, I had sudden chills going through my body, as if putting it in writing made it especially real and scary.
From this background I suppose it is understandable why Fedorov tends to take a very tough position and maintains tough rhetoric. Many thinkers in Russia lived through the ’90s, and watched their country being taken over by forces that wanted Russia’s destruction, or those who wanted to suck her dry (much like what is happening in today’s Ukraine). This created a whole line of Russian geopolitical analysts with very tough rhetoric. Fedorov’s position is that since the ’90s Russia regained a large part of its sovereignty, thanks to Putin’s policies and will, but it’s still far from fully independent, hence his People’s Liberation Movement (NOD).
Fedorov never minces words, and he believes that he needs to scare people into acting = rising against the ‘aggressors and oppressors.’ He believes in shock therapy by word in order to prevent adverse actions by known perpetrators from materializing. He is right in many things, but I do not believe in his approach. He not only scares, but also depresses people, and that is the recipe for paralysis. He also creates undue animosity. Finally, his information is often based on good data, but he sometimes tends to exaggerate.
As my readers know, I don’t believe in fear. I believe that people need to rise above fear to the level of reason in combination with love, in order to see the world clearly and act correctly.
I think Fedorov is generally right to warn about the possibility of a maidan in St Petersburg. Better safe than sorry; this is the time to warn people so they can organize against the destructive forces.
Fedorov takes the view I generally take – Ukraine was just the prelude and training grounds for creating the mayhem of the century in Russia. The big prize is Russia and her destruction. I have warned many times that this is the big goal and the mega-prize for the US, the West, or, if you will, NWO.
Moreover, Putin and Russia have been routinely derailing all possible and impossible plans of the West, especially throughout 2013-2014. Even the takeover of Ukraine didn’t go as planned. Therefore in the West’s view, Russia must be punished.
For the full list of Putin/Russia’s actions that derailed the NWO plans read Is Putin Part of NWO? For additional information see Predictions.
In this interview, Fedorov motivates his prediction of a maidan in St. Petersburg this way. There will be governor elections in St. Petersburg in September, and St. Petersburg was always an ‘opposition’ city within Russia. The change of the guard would be an excellent time to create big mayhem. Both 1917 Russian revolutions started there. The goal isn’t to elect a governor they like. It’s much bigger: igniting a revolution in the entire Russia and unseating Putin, just like it happened in 1917.
The goal is also to tear the country apart, creating a number of small, powerless, subservient to the West, pieces. One of them, per some Russian ‘democrats’ proposal should be the independent Republic of St. Petersburg.
Fedorov describes how it will happen: all candidates, except the one supported by the majority, will be showered with Western money to overwhlem the front-runner. Terrorists from Kiev/Ukraine maidan will appear, posing as locals – since they speak Russian and look Russian, you won’t be able to tell them apart; they will rent apartments ahead of time and blend in, until there is a signal for them to act. There will be attempts to create military-style provocations, including shooting people from the passing vans and cars, as they have done in Ukraine. This, he says, will be the hard-core terrorist component, like in Kiev. He also believes that up to 50-100k will be the ‘peaceful’ paid component armed not with firearms, but with sticks – again as it was on Kiev maidan.
As an aside, both Putin and Medvedev are originally from St. Petersburg, so creating mayhem in St Pete is especially devious.
My view and predictions:
I think Fedorov is right – there will be an attempt to create a maidan in St Pete. I am also absolutely sure it won’t succeed. Who will make an attempt to create a St Pete maidan: Western paid/ Soros funded NGOs, the ‘democrats,’ and the so-called revolutionaries, such as Navalny. There are still a lot of Western-funded and trained neo-liberal presstitutes in Russia, just like in any other country. They call themselves ‘democrats,’ and this is the title that has discredited itself. Many of the Western-style democrats are concentrated in Moscow, and even more so in St Pete. In the rest of the country their influence is negligible at best.
Unfortunately, most representatives of the western-style democrats are the so-called Russian intelligentsia, who in fact are just the stuck-up, pseudo-intelligent intellectual elites from the two capital cities: Moscow and St. Petersburg. I used to be proud of the fact that I belonged to the Russian intelligentsia – the real one, to which Chekhov and Tolstoy belonged. Not any more; that intelligentsia doesn’t exist. I have long resigned from the ranks having seen how much what passes for ‘Russian intelligentsia’ today has done, and continues doing, for the destruction of Russia. Russian intelligentsia is unfortunately a misnomer – a very sad one at that.
The parties of the ‘democrats,’ such as Yabloko, can’t even gather enough votes to get into Duma. They will try to organize demonstrations, but won’t gather too many supporters. They may get a few thousand, perhaps under 5-10k, for a demonstration. Most, if not all, will be paid stooges. 5-10k is not much for a 5 million city. In addition, if they are trying to recreate a 1917 scenario, Novalny or Kasparov are certainly no Lenin. They are nowhere near Lenin’s class and intelligence. And of course, they won’t succeed because Russia is now governed by the right people. Although attempts to cause havoc will continue in the future.
Will there be an infiltration of Kiev terrorists? An attempt will most likely be made, but it simply cannot succeed. I am a little confused as to Fedorov’s position (to the issue of his creating fear and confusion with his statements). Of all people he should know the capability of the Russian FSB and OMON. Russia isn’t Ukraine; Putin isn’t Yanukovich – Fedorov should also know this.
As an example: there were at least hundreds of attempts to infiltrate Crimea (Krim) in order to disrupt referendum, including armed provocations. Only one succeeded, when a sniper killed 2 people, one on the Ukraine army side, another – a Cossack volunteer. These were the only two casualties of the entire Crimea’s transition to Russia.
I believe that the demonstrations countering the attempted maidan will be substantially larger. They won’t succeed in creating violence either, at least on a large scale, as police will be on top of it.
Forewarned is forearmed: the more noise we make now, the less of a chance they surprise anyone. Most likely this will be a non-event.
Will there be howling by Western presstitutes that Russia is oppressing someone’s rights? You bet. But what else is new?
My prediction:
Whatever the ‘Western-style revolutionaries’ and NGOs attempt in St Pete will only make them more unpopular, thus accelerating Russia’s turning away from the West.
I think it is an excellent time for those European countries that have some sense, to distance themselves from the insane policies of the US and Brussels.

Predictions: Russia Hits West With Return Sanctions
Russia may ban EU flights across Russian territory
As a result of the EU sanctions against the Russian civil aviation industry, at least one Russian airline “Dobrolet,” had to cease operations. Dobrolet flies to Crimea and now Crimea is in a difficult situation due to a very limited airline connection with Russia. Crimea presently doesn’t share land border with Russia.
Dobrolet Airlines is trying to secure aircraft leasing deals in China and Singapore to replace Western jets it is banned from using. It appears, Dobrolet is also in negotiations with Boeing to purchase 16 jets. I know they are in dire straits, but my recommendation would be NOT to deal with Boeing, considering recent Boeing 777 downing in Ukraine, company’s US origins and reputation.
In response, Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is considering response sanctions against the EU. The proposal is to ban EU flights across Russia. Considering Russia covers 1/6th of the Earth’s land mass and occupies large parts of both Europe and Asia, it is a big problem for European flights to Asia and the Far East. All EU flights to Japan, S. Korea and other Asian countries go across Russian territory. This saves 3-4 hours flight time and $40,000 per flight in fuel cost. Russia may ban some, or all, such flights, making planes take longer and more difficult routes.
There is no final decisions yet, but it is expected soon. Meanwhile, EU airline stocks are taking a hit in anticipation of the Russian sanctions.
Gas sanctions on the horizon?
EU, when imposing their sanctions, was very careful not to touch the Russian gas industry, as first and foremost, the EU would be hurting itself. It has become known that Gazprom has sent a letter to all its trading partners, proposing to trade its gas for rubles, bypassing the dollar entirely. So far, the tone of the letter is mild, but it may change, depending on the response. We discussed this in some of my previous articles. The reason Russia was unable to transition to the ruble-based gas trade, despite trying for years, is because Russia’s main trading partner, EU, is thoroughly under the US thumb. Even if the EU wanted to transition our of the dollar trade, they can’t as US won’t let them.
Predictions:
However, the circumstances have changed, and Russia will eventually sell more gas to China than to Europe. The anti-Russian sanctions backdrop may make Russia more motivated to press for ruble-based trade with the EU very soon. US is mortally afraid of this, and this is why it will continue twisting EU’s arms. US will also use all available methods to try to scare Russia. This is why, unfortunately, US will continue war in Ukraine for as long as Ukrainians allow them to be on their territory. Let’s face it – this war is conducted, masterminded and financed by the US – and Ukrainians are just the convenient dupes and cannon fodder. US is after Russia – Ukraine is just a side effect.
If you haven’t yet, it’s useful to watch my two related videos, analysing this topic: Russia-China Deal of the Century – Huge Blow to US/EU and Predictions: Russian Gas and Russia-China Deals.
In addition to destroying Russia, which is the prime objective of the US/UK and their cronies, they wouldn’t mind weakening the EU. By fighting with Russia, by imposing sanctions, EU is happily walking into the trap US/UK so skillfully laid out for them. This isn’t the first time: 100 years ago Europe was dragged into WWI after Great Britain successfully pitted Austria-Hungary/Germany and Russia against each other. The result was the most disastrous century in recent human history. WWII happened the same way.
I wonder, will humans ever learn?
Meanwhile, many Russians feel their government is being too soft with their response to Western sanctions. There are demands for tougher response to the US and EU sanctions, including gas supply sanctions against the EU. If EU continues on this destructive path, they MAY get gas shortages just in time for Christmas. At least, that’s what some Russians demand their government do.
Russians also demand that their government boot out the ‘fifth column’ out of the country’s media and government.
It is important to emphasize that Putin can’t afford to act rashly and emotionally as some people seem to demand he does. The world is so unstable right now that it would be disastrous not only for Russia, but for the world in general. Putin’s balanced and cautious stance is what keeps the world spinning. Hot heads need to calm down, and that includes the hot heads not only in Russia, but also the well-meaning hot heads in the West. Those who demand all kinds of drastic actions from Russia, have to take a deep breath and look at the consequences. At the very least, read my articles (and my additional clarifying writing in the comment section), which explain a lot of the underbelly of what’s going on.
Prediction:
As always, Putin will be very careful with his responses. He will consider all sides of the issue; he will set aside emotions. However correct and justified, these emotions is something the leader of Russia cannot afford. It is abundantly clear that the West, led by the US/UK/Canada, has taken a path to self-destruction. I don’t think they fully realize it yet that the path of harming Russia is in fact a bona fide path to their own destruction. When they finally get it, it will be too late. Therefore, Putin has to act in such a way that he saves not only Russia, and Ukraine, but also the rest of the world. It is my firm and extremely confident prediction that what is good for Russia, is good for the rest of the world. Russia must, and will, act in its self-interest; but by doing so, Russia also acts on behalf of the higher good of the entire planet. The sooner people in the West grasp this, the better for all. See more in Predictions.
Breaking!
Russia imposes broad-range agricultural/food/raw material sanctions on the West
This just in! Kremlin officially announced the broad response sanctions against all Western countries who imposed sanctions against Russia. The list of banned imports from such countries is being drawn, but it is already known that it will affect agriculture, raw materials and food from the West, including US, Canada, UK, some EU countries, and Japan. This ban will be effective for one year, but can be revised as necessary. According to Russian reports, the ban will not touch average Russian citizen, but will impact the luxury market. See report by RT: Russia hits back with agricultural bans for sanctioning countries.
As of this writing, Russia halted all agricultural imports from the US for the term of one year. Russia also banned agricultural imports from Romania. Imports from Italy and Greece will be limited. Canada’s exports of raw materials to Russia are expected to be banned as well.
Additionally, the McDonald’s presence in Russia is in question, although for now, only milk-related and cheeseburger McDonald’s products are under health services investigation. See my post about that: War on All Fronts: McDonalds May Be Booted out of Russia; Latvia Bans Russian Superstars; Why did Yatsenyuk Resign; Repatriation of Russian Capital.
Russia also banned all agricultural imports from Poland as the country that was, and is, largely behind the Ukraine crisis. Poland expected to export to Russia a billion rubles worth of apples, among other things. Polish mercenaries are the driving force behind the Ukraine army, which without the participation of the Lithuanian and Polish mercenaries, would have fallen apart and would not have been able to effectively bomb the peaceful civilians in Donbass.
Russia closed its borders to milk and children’s products from Ukraine. Soy-related products from Ukraine are expected to be banned next. Imports into Russia from Ukraine are down 23% in the first 6 months of 2014.
Meanwhile, Ukraine keeps banning all kinds of Russian imports as well, except these make painfully little sense. Recently, Ukraine banned the movie and the book by the beloved classic of world literature, Mikhail Bulgakov, The White Guard, about the plight and tragedy of the White Russian officers during the 1918 Civil War. The action in it takes place in Kiev. Here is a beautiful song from the amazing Russian movie, The Days of the Turbins, based on The White Guard. Click to listen on YT: The White Acacia. Белой акации – Дни Турбиных
Kiev also banned Russian-Ukrainian movie, Poddubny, about Ukrainian champion boxer who became national hero after defeating American champion. Poddubny, unlike Rocky, is based on true historic events. It appears the Kiev junta was afraid to offend their American bosses by allowing this kind of movie to be shown in Ukraine – a new American colony.
In addition, Kiev also plans to ban Russian medicine exports. Considering medicine cost in Ukraine is up by 300% this year, banning affordable Russian medicine will make it even more difficult for simple citizens to survive.
Russia is growing cooperation with various countries around the world, as well as some former Soviet republics and will have no problem replacing products from Europe. So far, it has been announced that Russia will increase imports of fruits and vegetables from Turkey.
Analysis and prediction:
This is a big positive for Russia. What I said in my previous articles and predictions is now playing out. I said that in the long run Russia will only benefit from the Western sanctions.
Russia doesn’t need foods and agricultural products from the West. This desire to import cheeses, wine and pate from Europe is a leftover hiccup from the 1990s, when desire to be just like the West reigned supreme as the greedy oligarchs ran rampant. Pretty packaging isn’t worth selling your country for.
Now Russia can return to her core agricultural suppliers. During my trip, I visited some Central Asian markets and enjoyed authentic restaurants. Central Asia: Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan – and this concerns Caucasus too – have wonderful agricultural products, much better and tastier than in the West. Sure, their packaging isn’t as pretty, or none at all. So what? You won’t eat packaging; it’s the substance that matters.
You can’t even begin comparing the authentic, natural Central Asian, Caucasus and Russian foods with the American over-pesticided, chemicalized, and GMO’ed products. Admittedly, Europe has much better foods and produce, but the good old Europe also started succumbing to same. It’s a little, dirty secret that GMO is already being quietly used in Europe. European soils are depleted from many years of intensive exploitation; crops are down. Europe is desperate for the agricultural output boost, which, they naively think, will be provided by GMO. Russians will only be healthier if such foods are banned. For the full analysis and predictions of the GMO/agriculture situation in the EU, US and Russia, watch: Russia’s #GMO Ban & Russia-China Holy Grail Gas Deal, including global GMO usage charts.
Central Asia and Caucasus used to, and they should continue supplying Russia with a huge variety of wonderful fruits and vegetables. In Central Asia everything matures much earlier than in Europe and can yield multiple crops per annum.
Moreover, Russia is fully capable of feeding herself with her own agricultural staples. Incidentally, Russia is expecting a bumper grain crop this year. There has been a public outcry in Russia for years that the proliferation of Western agricultural/food imports suppresses domestic producers – again an imbalance left over from the disastrous ’90s. The move of banning agriculture and foods from the West will allow domestic producers to reclaim their lawful place in the Russian market. Wheat, rye, barley, and most other grains, apples, pears, grapes, most berries (Russia has the best berries in the world!), cucumbers, potatoes, cabbage, beets, carrots, cheese, milk, awesome kefir & tvorog (farmers cheese – it also used to be the best when I was little, and very affordable), and lots of other goodies. Russian territories are huge, agricultural lands are well-rested and natural, unlike the over-pesticided, tired soils in most of the world. In fact, Russia is poised to become a truly natural, wholesome bread basket to the world, once the country invests in agriculture properly.
USSR used to have a fully self-sufficient agricultural heavy machinery production. Between Russia and Belarus all necessary agricultural equipment can be manufactured domestically. Unfortunately, due to the suicidal policies of the Kiev government, Ukraine, which is the third former Soviet republic with developed machine industry, has to be excluded from this equation.
Finally: this move allows Russia to restore some good will not only with parts of its own farming population, but also with Central Asian and Caucasus republics. The good will became tainted and confused after the breakup of the USSR, when some regions and former Soviet republics felt abandoned by Russia – the result of harmful (some Russians call it treason) policies by Gorbachev and Yeltsin.
I would caution my readers from the outright blame. I can confidently say that at least in part, it was naiveté and wishful thinking, going hand in hand with a certain lack of understanding of the geopolitical processes that got both Gorbachev and Yeltsin into hot waters (along with the entire country, I might add). I intend to write about what really happened, why and how, before, during and after the breakup of the USSR, in my future posts and special reports. I promise, the information will be revealing, and in many cases, surprising. And as always, it will be authentic. Stay with me!
On the same note, Russia will return to its faithful traditional suppliers from Cuba, Nicaragua and some other Latin American countries. Russia can also renew its agricultural ties with Vietnam, India, and possibly, other Asian countries. This is trickier for a number of reasons, including the GMO/pesticide infestation and the US subservience of some of these countries. Strictly speaking, Russia doesn’t need Asian agriculture as much due to lots of other options.
In conclusion: those who were wondering why Putin and Russia were so slow in implementing return sanctions, here is why. In the usual Putin’s style, Russia wanted to first exhaust all possible diplomatic means, appealing to reason and survival instinct of the Europeans, and hoping that the EU has enough sense left. Secondly, the direction Russia wanted to take with any return sanctions had to be such as to not harm the Russian population. Once the former was exhausted and the direction of the latter was determined (agriculture/raw materials/foods, possibly aviation), Russia could start acting.
It is clear that Russia is still hoping for a tiny spark of reason from Western Europe. My unfortunate diagnosis is that any such spark cannot be expected from the US, Poland or Canada. UK and Australia are largely in this camp, but perhaps there is a bit more resistance from the population. My diagnosis isn’t very comforting regarding the EU either. Unfortunately, the US has managed to scare European governments into submission.
Let’s recall what they did with the French bank BNP Paribas – the $10bln fine nearly bankrupted the bank. To scare the French further, US also blocked France’s access to international exchange facilities; then of course, the access was restored. This cynical flexing of its muscles may be satisfying to the US in the short run, but after this, who in their right mind would still believe US can be reasoned with? This reminds me of a huge monster playing with its food before it devours it. Pretending to let it go for a second, and then grabbing it again, before the fatal strike. What happened to France is a signal to all EU countries – toe the line, or you are next.
US, in fact, is very busy manufacturing its ultimate fall from grace. The problem for us all is that while falling into abyss, in its usual style, US tries to drag everyone down with it.
US and IMF try to manufacture artificial Argentine default
Argentina is the latest victim of the US monstrous games. Argentina, which openly supports Putin and Russia, publicly denouncing USA’s and West’s interference in Russian and Ukrainian affairs, is also a supporter of Palestine, speaking up against the Israeli invasion.
Immediately after Putin’s recent visit to Argentina and Latin America, US blocked Argentine dollar-denominated accounts. As a result, Argentina was pushed into pre-default territory. When the payment on Argentine debt came due, Argentina was unable to access its accounts to make a payment. As the howling started that Argentina is about to declare another default, Wall Street immediately attacked Argentine currency and debt, while IMF began pressuring Argentina to restructure its debt on even more CABAL conditions than before. These new conditions would have effectively put Argentina in a slavery dependence from the West forever. If not, Argentina is facing a virtual financial blockade. However, Argentinians rallied around the government, publicly calling the US and West “vultures.”
What happened to Argentina is a warning by the US to other Latin American and third world countries: be friendly with Russia, or try to keep an independent policy – and we’ll devour you. It’s not even a mafia style warning. Frankly, mafia to me seems like a much more sensible and reasonable entity than what we are dealing with here.
Here is how they operate: each country has a weakness. They identify this weakness, store it the databank, and when they need to subdue a country, they fish out this information and engineer an all-out attack on the weakest link.
For Argentina, it is finances. Argentina, for historic and national mentality reasons, is unable to get its financial house in order based on the predatory ‘western norms.’ Argentine mentality and psyche is so different from the Western psyche that they can’t operate within the Western usury system. If you ask me, it’s a good quality! But it always gets them in trouble with the US and IMF, who are presently monopolizing the world financial system.
Meanwhile, Argentina has tremendous natural resources and lovely population. They have lots of potential, should it be allowed to freely develop. It is for the countries like Argentina that the BRICS bank is being created. For more on this read: New Predictions!
