Colonial leftover: only three countries still use inches, pounds, gallons, miles. Even the original colonial power itself, the United Kingdom, parted with outdated ‘Imperial’ units of measure…

Guess, which three countries didn’t? They are: Liberia, Myanmar (Burma), and the United States of America. The rest of the world is metric.

    For some reason, unconsciously, I also think of Britain as a non-metric country, even though I know that it uses a metric system…
