The Golden Autumn Festival in Moscow
The Golden Autumn festivals (Rus: Zolotaya Osen’) are traditional in Russia — I recall them since my childhood. This one is very special: Golden Autumn Moscow 2017. The festival is taking place as we speak near Red Square and by the Kremlin Walls. I was sent this cute amateur video. Check it out!
The Golden Autumn Festival is on the video from 1:30 to 11:18. Check out all those amazing pumpkin lions, pumpkin elephant, New Year Tree made out of gourds, pumpkin peacock, and much more!
After that, across Red Square, the video continues in the evening, at the brand new Zaryadie Park. The Zaryadie Park has only just been built, and it already is steeped in legend and lore. There is much to say — I have lots of fascinating lore to share. The dedicated Zaryadie episode should come up on Sunday — stay tuned.
For now check out Zaryadie attractions at night from 11:18 onward. Make sure you check out the lit-up Flying Bridge, named so because it is free-flying across Moskva River: on this video from 14:00 to 15:30!
After that, we are back to white-water-surfing near Kremlin Walls — not a joke! 😉
Also, stay tuned for my mega-post on MONDAY! We have some major reasons to celebrate!
Nice weekend, everyone!

Your country is sooo beautiful, as are its people. Thank you for sharing and attempting to edify Americans who have been led to believe otherwise. Many of us love our Russian relatives!
