Tourist Boom Headed for Nizhny Novgorod: River Cruises and Front Row Seats For the Action #Russia2018 #EarthShift

When I first visited Nizhny Novgorod years ago, the view from the hills of Nizhny’s Kremlin took my breath away. Been to more than 30 countries, but I’ve never seen such a spectacular river view. Centuries ago the placement of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin fortress was chosen strategically, at the confluence of two great Russian rivers Oka and Volga. Today, all this is a beautiful open air museum, which delights the eye. Surrounded by quiet Russian nature and spectacular old architecture, the glorious view down to the merger of two rivers makes for a world class panorama.

I’m sure much has changed. But that gorgeous view remains frozen in time, in my memory. It reminds me of the many Forbidden History mysteries we are discussing in our latest webinars.

Hoping to be back to Nizhny Novgorod soon!
