Vladimir Putin held Q&A for over 500 international journalists during a forum in St. Petersburg. The Russian President has surprised the audience by allowing his German language skills to shine. He stepped in as translator for the former West German Defense Secretary and ex-MP Willy Wimmer.

    That was a really nice gesture on Putin’s part. This whole press-conference had such a relaxed, informal, friendly atmosphere. 🙂
